  Acknowledgments

My brother gave me a copy of Spite, Malice, and Revenge for law school graduation. Who knew it would lead to a teen romance? Thanks, Colin!

As always, I need to thank my husband for being so supportive of my writing. I couldn’t dream of a better partner. As for my kids, I hope they’re not too embarrassed by a romance novelist mother. Lila and Daphne, at least you have each other to lean on.

A big thanks to my editor, Alycia Tornetta, for walking me through several extremely rough drafts of this book and talking me down from the John Mayer subplot. If anyone reads this thing, it’s thanks to her. Also, thanks to Stacy Abrams for her insightful comments, not to mention the rest of the team at Entangled.

As usual, so many people read drafts of this book. I would like to thank Carol Pavliska, Ellie Pavliska, Roselle Kaes, Mimi Tschida, and Elizabeth Penney. An extra big thanks to Alison Bliss and Cristina Pippa for reading in a big hurry! Actually, I should thank all my writer friends for helping to keep me sane. That’s what a writer’s friends really do. Critiques are just a bonus.

I also owe a thanks to Kristi Belcamino and Carol Pavliska for being my liaisons to the teen community. (Ellie, Lola, and Stella, if you don’t agree with my representation of teens in this book, it’s possible that your mothers don’t know you at all. Just kidding, but feel free to run with that during your next dinner conversation.) I should also thank all of the other teens I accosted with questions through the last year. I’m not sure if I mentioned why I was peppering you with questions, but if you’re reading this, now you know. Thanks for being there for me Amelia, Bethany, Sam, and Chloe.

Last but not least, thanks to my readers.

  About the Author

Samantha Bohrman lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, with her husband and three children. As a kid, she attended every summer camp imaginable—gymnastics camp, French camp, biology camp, architecture camp, debate camp, band camp, and the list goes on. Sadly, as a teen, Samantha was too shy to ever attend a camp dance. She is making up for it now with plenty of fictional summer camp smolder. Find her at www.sambohrman.com, @sambohrman on twitter, and sambohrman on Instagram.

  Boomerang Boyfriend

a Boyfriend Chronicles novel by Chris Cannon

Free-spirited Delia is starting to see her BFF’s brother in a new light. When did Jack-the-Jerk turn into a hottie? Seeing Delia in her retro waitress uniform throws Jack’s world out of whack. But she’s always been just another pain in the butt little sister…not a datable female. Delia and Jack’s sparks could combust into a fabulous relationship, or they could crash and burn into oblivion.

  I’m Not in the Band

  a novel by Amber Garza

I like Kassidy Milton. There, I said it. She’s funny, beautiful—even though she doesn’t know it—and my favorite kind of weird. But I can’t tell if she’s into me or my famous twin brother. It has to be me. I am better-looking. But Kassidy isn’t good at letting people in. I can relate. Trust is a funny thing; it’s hard to gain but easy to lose. I might just learn that the hard way.

Ten Things Sloane Hates About Tru

a Creative HeArts novel by Tera Lynn Childs

For Sloane Whitaker, leaving behind her NYC friends and starting over senior year at Austin’s NextGen Academy is the worst. If she wants to earn her way back to the Big Apple, it means no vandalism art, no trouble at school, and absolutely no Tru Dorsey—her neighbor who loves nothing more than pushing her buttons. But from the moment he vaults onto the roof outside her bedroom, there is something about him that makes her want to break every rule.

  Any Boy but You

a North Pole, Minnesota novel by Julie Hammerle

Elena Chestnut’s been chatting late every night with an anonymous boy. The boy can’t be Oliver Prince, son of the family running the rival sporting goods store that’s driving Elena’s family out of business. The girl Oliver’s fallen for online had better not be Elena Chestnut. She’s the one girl he’d never even think of kissing. She’s definitely not his online crush, because that girl is funny, sweet, and perfect. When Oliver asks to reveal their names at the Valentine’s Day dance, their IRL relationship will either ruin everything, or they’ll discover just how thin the line between love and hate really is.
