Faith blew him a kiss as he closed the bedroom door behind him.
“What a change from the jerk he was a year ago,” Holly mused with a shake of her head. She was wearing a pale pink long dress.
“He was just a scared man. He lost his parents and the woman he loved in one moment. I understand now. I love him so much. If I lost him now, I would go crazy.” Faith explained.
“No sad thoughts allowed.” Holly wagged her finger at her. “Let’s get this party started. Brent is meeting me at the reception later and I have the perfect sexy dress that will blow his mind. I really like this guy.”
Faith nodded. “He does seem nice. I am so excited to have everyone together for this day. All of Adam’s friends from the station will be there. Jenny and the rest of my employees are coming, too.”
“Alana and Alicia have been great in organizing everyone. Alicia is worse than an army sergeant. People fall in line when she starts shouting out orders.” Holly laughed. The two girls had become great friends over the last few months.
Today was a celebration for family and friends. She was already bound to the man she loved, and not with a piece of paper. She was bound to him through trials, love, and a dream for a happy life with many children. She remembered the fall festival last year where they played a game to see if he could win a date with her. It had been a long, rough road, but it made them appreciate what they had together. Together they would work hard to make a successful life. Love wasn’t always rainbows and hearts, but it was worth every tear, every hurt, because if you didn’t give up it led to a remarkable place.
