To my husband, Craig, your patience to listen while I ramble on and on about plot holes and “stupid commas” is such a blessing to me. Thank you for bringing out your inner little boy to help me figure out fight scene actions with blanket cloaks and pencil swords. As well as spending time with me watching hours of research videos. You are my favorite warrior superhero!
I don’t know what I did to be so lucky as to work with Ashley McLeo, my critique partner extraordinaire. Your work ethic, drive and skill encourage me to do my best everyday. Thank you for reading the really ugly pages and asking for more! I can’t imagine life without our coffee shop meetings, or someone else who understands the sheer number of story ideas that can filter through one mind.
Without my Indie Author Marketing group, I don’t know where I’d be. Every book needs the best promotion to succeed and every author needs a support system like all of you. There will always be more to learn and I love our meetings together.
Sometimes I need a good kick in the pants to do what I know I should anyway. For those who trudged through a beta read early on - bless you! You insisted that I do my best and you were exactly what I needed. Your artistic ability to speak kind words with a red pen will always be appreciated.
Jennifer Roop, thank you for giving me such a great start and being quick with a kind word. Jen McDonnell thank you for answering my questions, teaching me how to find all those fun symbols, and being an all-around great person. Also, for introducing me to Candy. Candy Crum – you are a treasure! You came along when I needed it most and lifted me up more than I can express. At some point we need to share a glass of wine, a big ol’ hug, and a lot of laughs! Just like this story – you are full of magic. My heart is full of an absurdly abundant number of exclamation points when I think of you.
To all my family, friends, and readers who constantly shower me with encouragement and love – thank you so much. I will strive to make you proud because you fill me with joy always!
