As he and Whitney were going through the buffet line, the phone on his hip vibrated.

“Hello? Oh, hi, Merlin. What’s the word? Uh-huh. Yes. Really? That’s great! Congratulations to one and all. Yes, I’ll spread the news.”

  “What? What?” Whitney asked excitedly.

“You’ll have to wait a few more minutes, mouse.”

Once the few couples and triads that remained settled with plates of finger foods and glasses of eggnog and punch, Taurus stood up.

“I just got a call from Dane. Seems Sloan was farther along than anyone expected. They now have two little boys named Yule and Noel. Mother and sons are doing great. Dane has a broken wrist from landing on it when he passed out.”

Taurus waited for the happy murmurs to race through the crowd, and then they silenced again before he finished. “We were going to have a baby shower for them in a couple weeks, but now we’ll have a welcome to the world party instead.”

“Does this mean you’re going to start having babysitting available while we play?” one of the uncollared submissives who had two children at home asked.

“No, but I will be making a list of naughty subs, and they’ll be pulling babysitting duty while Dane, Merlin, and Sloan come for an evening out,” he threatened in his powerful Dom tone.

“Now, are there any other announcements before we get to the good stuff? Jackson?” He smirked at the bartender who had his woman on his lap. It was hard not to notice the shiny diamond ring on her finger.

“Yes, Master T. I’d like to announce that Sinclair has finally agreed to marry me.”

Congratulations and best wishes were called from all corners of the gathering as well as more than a few bits of advice on how to handle their marriage. The couple colored and when cries of “Kiss, kiss” erupted, Jackson lifted her chin and kissed her, a long, slow, passionate kiss that silenced everyone.

When they finally separated again, someone said, “Damn,” which sent the small gathering into laughter once again.

“Mistress Jenna, do you have anything to add?” Taurus asked his cousin and business partner.

“Just that I am happy to report that my pet is home safe and sound and has returned to my household where he belongs. He has also finished his military service and will be taking over as manager of Club Esoteria.”

That brought another wave of applause, laughter, and well-wishes before Blaze and the other uncollared, unclaimed submissives played elves and handed out the gifts that had been gathering under the tree since Thanksgiving. Once the presents had been opened and oohed and aahed over, Taurus stood once again.

“Thank you all for coming. We’ve all had a wonderful evening from the smiles I see. As said in the poem, Merry Christmas to all and…”

“…to all a good flogging,” the crowd said, drowning out his traditional saying with their own, more appropriate, version.
