Learning to Live Page 24

by R Cole

She takes a breath and looks around the table while tearing up her napkin. “Well, I guess it’s my turn.” I can tell she’s stalling, so I smile at her for encouragement. “I’m also thankful for Tru and a wonderful family, which will have a new member in June...because I’m pregnant. Now let’s eat.” She digs into her plate while everyone just stares in shock.

R.D. Cole lives in Alabama and grew up an Army brat. Her family traveled a lot until they finally settled down along the Gulf Coast when she was four. Her husband is nine years younger so that makes her a COUGAR. She has a nine-year-old little girl who’s blind as well as autistic. Her life is not boring with the two of them in it.

She’s always loved creating and would constantly draw on her walls. Her two hobbies growing up were painting and reading. Writing was something she always wanted to do but didn’t think she could, until she woke up at three in the morning a few months back and just started.

After that, the story took over. Even though some pieces of her life are within it, it is Tru’s and Jax’s story now. She has truly fallen in love with this story and hopes all of you do too.
