Vampire's Retribution Page 20

by Anna Santos

“That’s not an excuse. She was underage.”

“She had the body of a woman. Back then it was normal. There weren’t so many laws. Young girls would marry older guys. Trust me, when I fucked her, I didn’t teach her anything new. And she was the one who teased me and looked for me. It wasn’t my fault.”

“It wasn’t your fault.” His words sickened me even more. I was stunned. He had confirmed everything Galvin had already told me. “I really don’t want to know anything else.” I sat on the couch and absorbed all the things he was saying. The tea leaves were working extremely well. They had the power of a truth serum for vampires and humans. He inhaled it when he boiled the water to make the tea. It took some time to act, but now he was singing like a bird.

“Let’s stop talking about her, then. I just want you to take your clothes off, so you can ride me on this couch. Would you like that, Sarah?” He leaned closer and tried to wrap his arms around my waist.

I pulled him back. He was a horny, annoying thing. I wanted to punch him, but I still needed to fake a bit longer. “We can do that after,” I said to please him and hold still. “Now, tell me something else.”

“Everything you want, darling,” he whispered, kissing my hair and trying to trail kisses against my neck. It would work better if he was restrained, but then he wouldn’t be relaxed enough to tell me the truth. “But first give me a proper kiss. You’ve been running away from me the entire night. I want to taste you.” I got up before he could hold me. He growled as his eyes narrowed. “Sarah…”

“Let’s play a game,” I teased, smirking suggestively, starting to unbuttoning my shirt and showing him my bra. His eyes were on my breasts. “What do you think about handcuffs and whips?”

“I like your idea,” he said, smirking and getting up.

I put my hand in front to prevent him from getting near. “I’m the boss here, so you will have to do what I tell you to. And what I want is to strap you to my bed and undress you slowly while I ask you a few questions.

“I don’t like questions,” he complained.

“But you want to fuck me, right?”

  “Yes.”

“You will tonight.” I raised my hand again so he didn’t move. “But only if you are a good boy tonight and do what I want.”

He grinned, trailing his tongue over his lower lip before biting it. “Do you really have handcuffs?”

“Yes.” I reached up and grabbed him by his collar. Spinning around, I forced him to follow me to my bedroom.

  “That’s really hot!”

“You have no idea.” I smirked mentally. He didn’t know what he was getting into.

  STRIP QUIZ

EWAN WAS TRAPPED to my bed, cuffed wrists and aroused protuberance sticking out. It was almost hilarious how he was willing to submit to me, just to have a chance to get between my thighs.

Meanwhile, I had unbuttoned his shirt, displaying his ripped and perfect torso and stomach. I sat over his stomach, making sure I wasn’t touching his lower parts, so he would be extremely obedient and needy.

“You feel so hot against me,” he gasped.

I smirked, scratching his chest with the wicked intention of hurting him and drawing blood. “What did I tell you? No talking!” I ordered him, grasping my fingers around his face and making him stare at me with blurred eyes. “Don’t be a bad boy or I’ll have to punish you.”

“Then punish me,” he dared me.

I let go of his face and slapped him hard. He looked shocked by my actions. His blue eyes pierced into mine and anger flickered inside of them. My heart raced. I had probably exaggerated.

“Whatever you do to me in this bed, I’ll give you double after,” he menaced.

I stared at the handcuffs, knowing damn well that he could free himself from them if he wanted it to. It was a threat for sure. It didn’t please me at all. I had the sudden urge of grabbing his head and snapping his neck.

“Hush, baby,” I said next to his mouth. “You’ve agreed to play this game. Don’t you want to make me happy?”

“Yes. I can make you really happy, Sarah. Just move lower and you’ll see.”

“I don’t want to move lower,” I moaned, nibbling his lower lip. “I want to stay right here, watching you lust for me.”

“You are so wicked,” he said, clearly aroused by my moving hips against his stomach. He shook his hands.

I motioned my hand to make him stop. “No skipping steps. First, we play, then we fuck.” I leaned my face and spoke in his ear, making him stop moving. “I like it nice and hard,” I teased further, licking his earlobe. His muscles tensed under me. I chuckled and lifted my head.

“What are we going to play?” he questioned, moving his body and making me fall over his chest. “Kiss me first,” he ordered.

I raised my head from his torso. He was hard to control. It didn’t help that I was finding the situation extremely enticing and appalling at the same time. He was a sexy bastard. It was interesting to have so much power over him. Back when I was Violet, it was him that did whatever he wanted to me. I had never been dominant like now. But I couldn’t push my luck. He didn’t like to be kept waiting for long. So, I obeyed, brushing my lips on his and letting him take advantage of my mouth. I needed him immobile and cooperative. I wanted to start asking questions.

Before I could understand what was going on, we were kissing hard and deep, my hands were on the mattress, trying to lift my weight from his body and my nipples were taunting the fabric of my shirt. I shouldn’t get aroused by him. He was a liar. There were so many words to describe him, but all summed up to him being disgusting, a pitiful excuse for a soul, selfish, and sick. Reacting sexually to him based on our previous sexual experiences and on how gorgeous he was on the outside was not an excuse to succumb to him. I evaded his mouth, making him groan in complaint.

Straightening up on top of him, I fixed my hair and breathed deeply. “Let’s get started, then,” I said with a serious face, fixing the collar of my shirt. He looked confused. His eyes were spacing out.

He blinked several times to focus. “What?”

“The questions. For every question you answer, I’ll open a button on my shirt. It’s called strip quiz.”

  “Are you serious?”

“Yes,” I smirked mischievously. “Don’t you want me to strip down for you?”

“What do you want to know?” he asked promptly.

I bit my lower lip and played with the collar of my shirt. “Who do you love more, me or Anastasia?” I started with a stupid question to prevent him from suspecting anything.

“You, of course,” he answered quickly. “Now, open one button.” His eyes were glowing, focused on my breasts.

I opened one button with a suggestive look, giggling when his stomach tensed under my legs.

“Ask me another question.” He was impatient.

“Who do you love more, me or Violet?”

He lost his smile, and I stared at him, hoping I didn’t ask the wrong question. “I don’t know. I love her, but I also love you. You have something that she doesn’t have.”

“What is that?” I wasn’t expecting that answer. He was a good liar, but he couldn’t lie then. At least, I hoped he couldn’t.

“You are bold and fierce. I love that about you. You aren’t afraid of telling me what you want. You are strong-minded. Violet was…weak.”

His words hurt my feelings, but it didn’t mean that I didn’t know that he was right. My former self was pathetic. It took me a lot of years apart from him to realize how dependent and helpless I was. Besides, I had something I didn’t have before in my life: a purpose and real love.

“Now open two buttons, since you’ve asked two questions,” he ordered. I obeyed with an empty stare on his chest. “You’ll make a good vampire. My master will like you a lot.”

“What?” I asked, raising my head to look at his face. His words troubled me even more.

  “There are rules. I need
to ask permission from my master to turn you.”

“Are you still loyal to the ones who killed your wife and child?”

“I had the opportunity to kill the ones who killed my wife. As for my child, I struck a deal with my master. Her life in return for helping them kill the sorcerers.”

  “So, your child is alive?”

“Oh no, she died a long time ago. She lived a normal human life. She married and had a family of her own. I’ve been watching over them for centuries, keeping track of them. There’s only one left. Do you want to see her picture?” he questioned. I couldn’t conceal the shock and the confusion. I just nodded. “After we finish this game, I’ll show her to you. She’s a beauty.” My mind was processing at the speed of light. “One more button, Sarah,” he urged me. “There aren’t many left. Then what will you take off?”

“My skirt and then my bra,” I said, smirking but my mind was somewhere else. A descendant from sorcerers, some girl was out there, probably having magic blood running in her veins. “What was the deal?” I asked.

  “The deal for what?”

“To keep your daughter alive and her descendants.”

“Bring magic children to my master. Girls to be more specific. He wanted to erase the sorcerers and enchantresses from the face of the earth. I was one of the many who was incumbent upon finding their descendants and turning the world against the witches. I think we did a nice job. Those were golden days when there were so many witch hunts! I did what I had to do to keep safe what I love. Like I’ll do with you.”

“You didn’t keep Violet safe, did you?” I retorted and his face turned harsh.

“It wasn’t my fault,” he answered severely. “I won’t let it happen again. You’ll never leave my side.”

“I didn’t want to upset you. I’m just curious about how she died.” I played the guilty face card and pouted for a bit. But he looked livid.

“The hunters killed her. Now, stop talking about the past. It really turns me off.”

  “I’m sorry.”

“That’s okay, darling. Now take your shirt and your skirt off and stop playing games with me.”

“Thank you,” I said, grabbing his face with both of my hands.

  “What for?”

“For reminding me why I should keep hating your guts,” I told him, using my strength to snap his neck with a single blow and kill him. He would stay dead for a couple of hours, and the drug would make him stay inanimate. There wasn’t much more he could tell me. There wasn’t anything else I wanted to do with him. I would use the time I had to grab his phone and check for the picture he was talking about.

The information I had gotten from him, even if vague, was rather enlightening. Besides, I could use his phone to find more information about the girl. I could also use his phone to search for other vampires that were related to his so-called master or even to find out the phone number of the master. If he was into the modern era. He would be an ancient immortal, but maybe his minions were using cell phones and if they were, we could find their location.

I grabbed the phone from his pants and looked for images. It was easy enough since he just had one of me and another one of a beautiful young girl with red hair and green eyes. Now, I just needed to go back to headquarters and ask our computer geniuses to clone his phone and find the girl’s identity.

As I was fixing my clothes, his phone vibrated with a message. It was Anastasia, asking how he was and what he was doing. She was probably curious about what I had decided to do and was hoping I had left him and he was in need of comforting.

I smiled wickedly at the phone and decided to answer her back: “Everything is fine. Stop messaging me all the time.”

I read it twice before I sent it to her. In the former messages, Ewan was normally rude. So, it was pretty much something that Ewan would say to her. Also, it would shatter her hopes of having me running away from him. If everything was fine with us, I was going nowhere.

I pressed send and soon enough she texted me back. I ignored it completely. I simply grabbed the phone and made my magical way to the headquarters. I needed to share the information with Galvin, and I needed to decide what I would do with Ewan. Killing him and putting him out of his misery was the clever thing to do. The situation was becoming unbearable. Plus, after what I did, I was sure he wouldn’t wake up happy and thinking I was a helpless little human girl. The drug could make him forget, but there were just so many times that he would endure until he tried to take me by force.

TO KILL OR NOT TO KILL

THE SUN WAS RISING when I arrived home. Ewan was still in bed, tied up and asleep. I had come to finish the job. I didn’t need him anymore. I was tired of playing that game. I wanted to resume my life of a hunter and end that sad chapter of my life. I had to kill him.

My sword was near. I just had to pick it up and cut his head off. It would be fast and painless. He would cease to exist. And then I had to go after Anastasia. I was doing the world a favor, getting rid of those two monsters. Galvin had given me the choice. I could kill them both or leave them. Either way, he wanted me back in his arms and away from them. I wanted to be away from them, too.

His phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and stared at the new message. Anastasia was relentless. It was the twentieth message she sent him. I smirked and plotted a sweeter way to torture her a bit more. I replied to her message: “Bitch, stop texting my man. He doesn’t want anything to do with you. You are keeping us from sleeping. Go and get a life.” I pressed enter. It was a childish thing to do, but it didn’t mean it wasn’t hilarious. It also meant that I didn’t need to look for her, she would eventually come to me.

Placing his phone over the coffee table, I addressed the present matter: to kill or not to kill Ewan. I could wake him up and tell him how pathetic and stupid he was, and then walk away. Grab my things and leave him to his pitiful existence. I could do that. I could also wake him up, tell him good morning and then cut his head off, fast and messy. I didn’t want those sheets anyway.

Walking to the bedroom, I stared at Ewan, peaceful and apparently innocent, sleeping. I took my sword from its hideout. It was made of pure silver and the blade had written all sorts of enchantments against evil. That sword had already killed its share of vampires. However, I was so hungry that I might not have enough strength to use it. It had been two days since I had fed. His surprise dinner the night before made it impossible for me to drink the blood I had stashed. Weird enough, for some seconds, I could see the blood running in his veins and I could smell it. My fangs suddenly appeared and I blushed as I covered my mouth. Why am I thinking about drinking his blood? That was an absurd thing to do. Plus, it had been a long time since I had craved for human blood. Why the sudden yearning for his blood?

I hid the sword and rushed to the fridge. I took the bottle and drank the blood quickly. For some moments, I felt dizzy as if I was going to faint. Then I felt the familiar sensation of the blood rushing through my veins and ending the hunger and the weakness.

I wiped the blood from my chin and began to make coffee, so the smell and the taste could disguise the blood I had drunk. I was stalling. I knew that. Nevertheless, I had to decide what to do with Ewan. I was supposed to kill him—and I was strong enough in that moment. I didn’t want to go back to him. It shouldn’t be so hard to finish the job.

I drank the hot coffee, sensing my body healing the burns it had made. The pain forced me to think straight. I couldn’t be considering the idea of keeping him alive. He was worse than I thought. He was wicked, ruthless—a demon. The love I’d felt for him wasn’t an excuse to keep him alive. I didn’t owe him any consideration. Killing him in his sleep would be an act of mercy. He deserved to suffer for all the wrong he did to the children and women he killed. He deserved to die for the way he used me and pretended to love me.

I was going to get my sword, however, my front door opened with a loud noise of being shredded into pieces. In a flash, Anastasia flew in
my direction, catching my throat with her hand and showing her fangs as she looked at me with angry and deadly eyes. I had time to scream once before she almost crushed my neck. I didn’t expect her to appear there and my previous weakness had prevented me from sensing her arrival. I had stirred up the beast and the beast wasn’t happy at all.

“What did I tell you to do? I gave you until today to leave. Yet you are still here!”

I endured her gaze as I tried to breath. Is she stupid or just mad? Ewan was in the other room. Is she thinking about killing me in front of him? Is that some sort of twisted proof of her love for him?

“How many times do I have to kill you?” she asked dangerously homicidal. I smirked, amused. I would have laughed, but the pressure on my throat was too strong. “He is mine!”

“Okay, then keep him,” I stuttered in low and painful voice.

  “You should have left!”

Of course all that noise woke up Ewan. He must have unleashed himself from the cuffs because he walked into the living room, rubbing his temples and blinking several times, unsure about what his eyes were seeing.

“Anastasia! What are you doing?” he asked, widening his eyes, apparently horrified by her presence and her hand on my neck. “Let her go at once!”

I wasn’t sure of what he remembered from the previous night. Does he recall that I had snapped his neck instead of sleeping with him? The drug would normally give people amnesia. By the look of his red eyes and dizzy walk, he was still processing the events.

“No! We belong together,” she screamed hysterically. “She won’t ruin my plans again. I won’t go away and let you chose her instead of me.”

“What are you saying?” He seemed confused. We had that in common.

“I want to be the mother,” she yelled. “And that’s not mom! I saw them kill her, remember? They tried to kill me too! You saw the ashes on the floor! She is dead!”

“Yes. I know,” he said, motioning his hands to make her calm down. “Let Sarah go.”
