I watched the boys disappear to the top of the steps, when I heard Destiny’s voice. “Matt, you have a great nephew. You raised him well.”

I turned around and looked at Matt who beamed with pride. “Thank you, but my sister had a big hand in that. I just helped raise the boy that she already had molded.”

Destiny smiled, then she looked at Jacob. There was joy in both their eyes and I smiled along with them.

“That’s how I feel about my step children, Junior and Montana. They come from a beautiful mold. I’m just blessed to be in their lives,” Jacob said.

“You have a nice and big family. I can’t wait to have a little one of my own running around the house someday,” Matt said, and our eyes connected. “I might just have a little football team someday.”

“I feel sorry for whoever you hire to work in your baby making factory,” I said and laughed.

“Oh, I already have the perfect person working in that position,” Matt teased.

“Girl, you’re going to be busy,” Destiny joined in, laughing.

I just couldn’t believe she was taking Matt’s side in his joke. “That’s really too bad, but I wish you good luck with that, Matt,” I said laughing. Matt was staring right at me, jokingly but his eyes held a hint of seriousness.

We talked a little more, after the joking died down, until I yawned and expressed that it’d been a long day and I should be getting to bed.

“Yep, it has been a very long day and we both need our rest,” Matt began. “Thanks again for letting us stay here. We could have rented a room, but your hospitality would have never been matched.”

“Oh, you are too kind, but you are welcome here anytime. You both have a good night!” Destiny said. She and Jacob waved, and Matt and I headed up the steps and to our bedroom. When I had the door closed, I heard Matt’s voice.

“I’m exhausted too!” Matt said. “I can’t wait to get some rest in.”

I turned around and tilted my head. “That’s quite a shame, because I didn’t really want to go to sleep.” I grabbed ahold of his shirt and pulled him to me. “I was thinking more like starting my baby making job tonight.” He laughed as he pressed me against the bedroom door and wrapped his arms around me. We kissed as his body pressed tightly to mine. I lifted my leg around his and he wrapped his hand around my leg to hold me tighter.

“God, you can start whenever you’re ready, because I’m ready now. I need you so much,” he whispered in a husky voice.

“What are you going to do about it, then?” I asked as I pushed him away and grabbed onto my shirt, then pulled it over my head and tossed it to the floor. I wrapped my hands around my back and removed my bra, then slid out of it.

He moved closer to me and grabbed my waist, then lowered his lips to the top of my breasts. He massaged my nipples with his thumbs, while he trailed kisses up and down my cleavage. I pulled my pants down and kicked out of them, as he devoured my breasts with his mouth. When he was through with that, he moved his lips back upwards, until we were kissing, and I was pushing him back to the bed. I pressed him down to the bed, breaking his lips from mine. He looked up at me with this macho grin as I crawled on top of the bed and straddled him. I slipped my fingers into the waist of my panties and pulled them down, then moved down and touched my lips to his neck.

“Damn baby, you’re on fire tonight,” he moaned.

I grabbed onto the bottom of his shirt and rode it up over his chest, tugging it off over his head. I then looked at him and winked. “A little fire never hurt anyone. I just hope I’m giving you everything you want,” I said, planting my lips on his chest.

He lurched, wrapping his hand around my back and arching his back, while I splayed kisses around his chest. I grabbed onto his pants and started to undo the buttons.

“God baby, you’re giving me everything I want and more.” His hands went up my back as I finished getting his pants undone. I moved my lips down his stomach and after getting his pants off, I grabbed onto his boxers and pulled it back, then moved down and put a kiss on the cock. “They’re going to hear you screaming,” he whispered.

“Not before they hear you,” I said with a devilish wink.

He laughed and twitched beneath me.

I pulled his boxers down and tore them off him. I went back to his erection. It had already grown a couple sizes. I ran my tongue down his elongated shaft and he reached up and grabbed my hair, pulling it as I moved my tongue up and down his cock.

He moaned and whimpered his excitement as I slithered my tongue with ease along his manhood. When I reached the tip, I flicked my tongue out and captured a bit of his precum between my lips. It was salty and perfect. I put my lips around his cock and sucked lightly, at first. He let out a yelp and I moved my lips further down his erection, then started to massage his balls between my fingers.

He let out a loud breath as he ran his fingers in my hair and I moved my mouth quicker with him slowly thrusting his rod between my lips. I sucked and swallowed as I felt him slowly getting larger.

“UGH!” he groaned, and I knew he was close to exploding. I slipped my lips off him and groaned sensuously. “What you doing, Tasha?” he asked.

I pulled myself up and straddled his much harder erection. “Giving you what you want,” I said. I winked at him and kissed him. He grabbed onto my hair and roughly pulled at it, while our tongues wildly danced around one another’s. I repositioned myself and slowly lowered myself over him, then rocked my hips back and forth as we fucked one another in fluent motions. He slipped in and out of me, but mainly stayed snug inside of me. I could feel my stomach clench and I was about to orgasm right then.

He pounded in and out of me, releasing grunt after grunt. His cock exploded inside of me and we came together. Our bodies formed together, and electric waves ran through us. He wrapped me in his warm embrace and with him still nestled inside of me, we clung to one another.

When he pulled out of me, it was like we were already missing one another. I smiled, parting from his kiss. “How have I survived without you?” I asked.

“I’ve asked that every day since we’ve met.”

I snickered and fell against him, resting my head to his shoulder. He kept me safe and secure. I closed my eyes, expecting for us to fall asleep, but I heard his words. “Tasha, I have something to tell you,” he said.

I leaned up on my elbow and turned to look at him. “What’s up?”

He spoke slowly. “Well, I talked to Joseph Mallard.”

I frowned as the name hit me. “The owner of Colorful Times?” I asked.

He nodded. “And I explained to him what happened.”

I felt my face falling as I stared at him. “I can’t believe you went behind my back and did that.” I sat up and glared at him. He listened to my angry words, but never interrupted. When I was finished, he spoke.

“I got a text from him this morning. I was waiting to tell you at the perfect time and I think this was it. You got your job back!” He tilted his head as I processed the news. “Well, you actually got a promotion. You’ll be the lead writer of Colorful Times.”

  My jaw hung down.

“That’s if you still want to work there.”

“Are you kidding me?” I asked.

He shook his head. “He’ll be calling you in the next week to discuss it with you. I’m sorry and I should have told…” His words trailed off when I kissed him. “You…”

There was a knock at the door, and Matt and I scrambled to cover ourselves. “Yes,” I answered, smiling at Matt.

“It’s me, Destiny. Jacob and I are about to go to bed, and I’m just checking to make sure you guys have everything you need tonight,” Destiny asked in a hushed voice.

Matt and I looked at each other mischievously. He smiled, and I answered, “Yes, we have everything. Thank you!”

“Okay, see you guys in the morning. Goodnight.”

  “Goodnight Destiny.”

I looked at Matt again. “Thank you, too, for e
verything.” No one had ever done anything to help me like everything Matt had done for me, since I met him. I could find out specifics about my job later. I just wanted him to see that I appreciated him, and I would never take that for granted. “And, I do mean everything,” I whispered as I crawled on top of him for his goodnight greeting.

  Chapter Seventeen

  Matt

  Reliving the Past

“Goodbye sweetheart. You got yourself a kindred spirit in Matt. Take care of him and he will take care of you,” Tasha’s aunt said. That made me smile. She was supposedly whispering, but I could hear her while I sat in the car waiting for Tasha, with the music playing softly. Things went better than I could have hoped for, as our Atlanta trip came to an end.

“Thanks Aunt Clara. I wish we could have spent more time together,” Tasha said after hugging her aunt’s neck.

“Yeah, but those damn Irish tried to keep us over there as immigrants,” she laughed. “I thought I was going to have to nut up if they didn’t let us get on a plane, but John handled everything and got us here in time to see you before you left. You know he’s the saner of the two of us.”

John, who was Jacob’s father, put an arm around Tasha’s aunt and pulled her close to his side. “I wasn’t going to let her miss you,” he said. John reached his free hand into my window and shook my hand. “Nice to meet you, Matthew. The next time I’m in Miami I’ll look you up, so we can play a few holes.”

“That would be great. I’d like that,” I said, smiling.

After everyone had hugged and said their goodbyes, including Montie Jr. and Cody, we headed back to the airport. I enjoyed seeing her so happy and, even as we left, she still held a smile on her face. It was evident that she really was okay leaving Atlanta and heading back with us. I looked over at her and watched as she looked out the window as we hit the highway to get back to our home. Soon, we had endured a quick flight and landed in Miami. I had a great time in Atlanta, but nothing compared to the sight of the “Welcome to Miami” sign hanging over my city.

“It was great meeting your cousin, her husband, and your aunt. I had a really good time.”

“So did I,” Cody said, piping up from the backseat.

Tasha turned and looked at us. “I’m glad you had a good time. I’m glad we all went.” She reached over and grabbed my hand and we held hands all the way back to her place. I would have offered again for her to stay with us, but she told me several times she needed to go to her apartment to tidy it up. When I pulled into the parking lot of her apartment complex, I grabbed the nearest spot to her building.

“I’ll walk you upstairs,” I said.

“Okay.” She nodded and turned back to look at Cody. “See you later Cody!”

“Are you coming over for dinner?” Cody asked, an excited look playing in his expressions.

She looked at me, and I tried to portray eagerly that that was exactly what I wanted. I responded in her place. “I’ll certainly try to persuade her to, buddy.” Then, I laughed and got out of my car. I went around and got Tasha’s suitcase, and we walked to her apartment building.

“So…dinner huh?” she asked, laughing slightly.

“You know I would love for you to come over, when you get done here. But I also know that you need time alone sometimes. I don’t want to crowd you,” I said, leaving off the rest of my thoughts of ‘unless you want to be crowded.’

We walked up her stairs to her apartment. When we reached her door, she turned to me. There was a gleam in her eye. “I do have to eat, you know.” She laughed, and I dropped the suitcase and snickered, brushing my hand against her cheek.

“That you do. But another thing I was thinking about,” I started. “You know, it seems kind of silly for you to still be living here. You should come move in with Cody and myself.”

The minute the words left my mouth, I was surprised I said them. I was unequivocally in love with Tasha, but moving in was clearly the next level. Her eyes widened, and her mouth hung open. I playfully touched her chin to close to her mouth.

She laughed. “I’m sorry. I just wasn’t expecting that.”

“Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it either.” I laughed, and she cocked her head, questioning my motive with her intense brown eyes. “I just mean that moving in with one another is a big step. There’s a lot happening in both our lives, and we have to make sure that it’ll all blend together. I have no doubt that it will, because I do love you.”

“And I love you and when the time is right, then I would be all for it, but you’re right. It’s a bit premature. We have Cody to think about and while I know Cody likes me.”

  “He loves you,” I corrected.

She smiled. “While I know that he loves me, I also know that he’s young and we need to tread lightly when it comes to him. Understood?”

I nodded. She was wise to say that, and she was most definitely right. Before I met her, I had done well at wearing my feelings on my shoulder and dusting my shoulders off regularly.

“Okay. We’ll rehash the issue later.” I leaned in and kissed her.

She sighed. “I’ll be over at six for dinner?”

“I’ll be counting down the minutes,” I said. I waited for her to open her door, then watched her go inside and wave goodbye. I turned around and headed down the stairs to my car.

When I got inside, Cody asked the question. “Is she coming?” he asked.

  “She’ll be here at six.”

I heard him do a celebratory dance in the backseat and I smiled to myself as I started the car and backed out of my parking spot. I was celebrating too.

  ***

When I pulled into the driveway, I knew that I had a lot of things to do before getting ready for Tasha to get there. “Take your suitcase and go in and unpack, will you?” I asked Cody.

“Sure thing, Uncle Matt.” He grabbed his suitcase and hurriedly went inside. I pulled out my suitcase, then went to the mailbox and grabbed the mail that we had for the past couple days. I fumbled with my suitcase and the mail and went up to the front door. Cody had left the door wide open, so I walked right in.

When I got in the house, I dropped my suitcase and leafed through the mail. Besides bills, bills, and more bills, there was a package addressed to me. I looked at the block lettering. I didn’t recognize the writing. I opened the package and found a DVD. I opened it up and found a letter. The letter was also written in block lettering. It read as follows:

Watch this and you will see your precious girlfriend isn’t as innocent as you think. She will do anything to get what she wants. Consider yourself warned.

I read through the note twice and frowned at the conclusion. It didn’t make any sense to me, and I was a little worried about watching the DVD, but then reminded myself that I had nothing to worry about. Whatever was on the DVD meant nothing. Tasha and I had a solid relationship, and anything on that DVD wouldn’t change that, at least that’s what I hoped.

Just watch it. You don’t know what’s on there, so you can’t consciously say that. My mind kept trying to warn me that something horrible could be on there. I contemplated whether I wanted to even watch it, but I knew that I had to, because I wouldn’t be able to think about anything else, if I didn’t. I looked up the stairs to make sure Cody was still up there. When I was sure he was in his room, I went to the den. Nerves slowly took root.

I stood at the DVD player, DVD in hand, and again considered not playing it, but instead dropped it in the DVD player and turned it on. I stepped back from the TV and pushed play. I had to wait for it to warm up, but once it did the first sounds I heard were moaning. Once a haze left the screen I was met with an instant porno.

My mouth hung open. I stared at the screen in front of me. Two people were having sex for the camera. I wanted to first ask what this had to do with Tasha and then it became obvious as the woman that was moaning out in pleasure was the love of my life, my future wife. I looked away from the screen, my heart racing as I wondered why she would wa
nt to stoop so low as to make a sex tape. Then, I wondered who was on the receiving end.

The note read that she would do anything to get what she wants. I muted the sound, so Cody couldn’t hear, then turned back to the screen to watch the scene play out. I don’t know why I kept watching, other than it was like a bad accident on the highway, you’re horrified but you must see what happens. I wanted to mentally try to figure out why she would hit that level.

  “Uncle Matt?”

I panicked and quickly turned the TV off, then shot a look at Cody. “What do you want?” I snapped.

His eyes got big and I was sorry that I snapped at him like that. “I, uh…” he stammered. He glanced at the screen, but luckily, I had gotten it turned off in time.

“I’m sorry,” I apologized. “What’s going on bud?” I asked. This time, I was calmer.

“What’s for supper?” he asked. His voice was shaky. I had never yelled at him like that before and he had to be thinking that something was seriously wrong. Something was wrong, I just learned that Tasha made a sex tape and that it was circulating around.

“I thought I would throw on steaks,” I said in a calm voice, well, as calm as I could muster. I had a fire brewing deep inside of me that I had to fight with all that was in me to water it down.

Cody nodded, still looking at me as if he were in shock over my initial blow up. “Okay…And Tasha is still coming, right?” he asked.

Yeah, back to Tasha. I remembered being so happy that she was going to be coming to have dinner with us. After the trip to Atlanta and everything we’d shared, I wanted to believe we were meant to be together, grow old together, with our very own family. Now, I was left wondering if I even knew what kind of woman she really was.

“Yeah, man, she’ll be here,” I said. I smiled, not wanting to show him I had serious doubts swirling through my mind about the woman that was quickly becoming his favorite person. Cody loved Tasha. I knew that, and it would break his heart if something happened between us, but I also had him to think about. This wasn’t a cut and dry scenario. I needed some quiet time to think. “Go get washed up. Dinner will be ready in just a bit.”
