Prince of Love

A grating sound behind them drew her attention and she turned to watch the giant iron gate close on its own.

It was truly a magical kingdom.

"What do you think?” Sorin asked.

She grinned up at him. “I think it's magnificent."

  "Can you be happy here?"

"I'll be happy anywhere you are."

He squeezed her shoulder and sighed. It wasn't until that moment that she realised he had been worried.

  "I love you, Sorin Sinclair."

He stopped and looked down at her. “And I love you, Katrina Sinclair."

  Epilogue

Sorin watched Katrina talk to his mother and two sisters-in-law. It had been a relief to know both Elric and Lucian had returned, but they all worried about Keiran. More so now than ever since it was just a few weeks until the fifth moon of the harvest year.

"Everything rests on Keiran's shoulders,” Elric said as he moved to stand beside Sorin.

"Aye, but if anyone can get to the gates ‘tis Keiran."

Elric and Sorin exchanged a grin. “True enough,” Elric admitted. “'Tis good to have you home, little brother."

"'Tis good to be home.” He shifted his shoulders and felt the pull of the stitches in his side.

Elric chuckled. “I know you're new wife will be taking excellent care of you. Just lock your door."

  "Why?"

"Mother hasn't quite gotten used to us having brides yet."

Sorin threw back his head and laughed. “Did she walk in on you and Marin?"

"Nay. She walked in on Lucian and Isabelle. It took a few days for Isabelle to be able to look her in the eye again."

"Thanks for the warning,” Sorin said. “I'll be sure to do that."

Their smiles died as a guard came running into the palace.

"What is it?” King Urises demanded.

"'Tis the Tnarg, sire. He's sitting outside the gates."

Lucian sighed as he moved to join them. “He's waiting for Keiran."

"Not if I can help it,” Sorin said.

  "You can't,” Elric ground out.

Sorin's gaze moved to Katrina's. “I'll find a way. I refuse to let my brother die."

He turned to his brothers. “That beast has tracked us all over the country. It has attacked our mates and tried to kill us. I know what the curse says, but I'm not just going to sit back and watch it kill Keiran."

Elric and Lucian exchanged a glance.

"I agree with him,” Elric said.

Lucian blew out a breath. “What do you suggest?"

"We use some magic of our own,” Sorin said with a grin as he took Katrina's hand.

Elric rubbed his hands together. “I've got the perfect plan then. Curse or no, I agree with Sorin. I'm not going to let the Tnarg prevent Keiran from returning home."

Sorin glanced at Lucian before he turned to Elric. “Let's get prepared then. Lucian can return any time now."

And they all needed to be ready to kill the Tnarg if need be. An entire kingdom's life rested on their shoulders. For too long the Sinclairs had lived with the curse. It was time to do something about that, and Sorin knew that time was now.

They just had to wait for Keiran.

  About the Author

Though I was born and raised in the second largest state in the US, I lived in a very small town where everyone knew everyone. The hours that weren't spent at the dance studio were spent reading and dreaming of far off lands that I would one day visit and explore. My parents helped feed my insatiable appetite for reading by continually supplying me with books.

My plan was to be a professional dancer, and after making it to New York and performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, I realised that though I had a passion for dancing, large cities weren't for me.

On the verge of starting my own dance studio, I got derailed by love. I met my husband, and knew he was the one. It was with the help of my husband that I found my true passion—writing.

Once I delved into writing, I found another love—Scotland. Scotland has a piece of my heart and soul. I've long had a fascination with the ancient land that has pulled me in with its legends and lore of Druids and Fae.

Scotland's mist covered mountains, deep lochs of untold beauty, and forests filled with magic and mystery call to me and my characters who live in Medieval castles. ‘Tis the Medieval era where knights were feared and men died for honour, that my heroes and heroines, through trials and tribulations, find neverending love and vanquish evil.

My husband, two young children, three cats, and one long haired Chihuahua still make our home in Texas. I don't mind the heat and humidity either since that's when I hide in my office and write stories set in castles and mysterious places in Scotland where my characters find adventure and love.
