Padraig kisses me and then nestles me into his side as we take in the sunset. I inhale a deep breath as the wind swirls around us. And I smell it. The salty air mixed with the crispness of the grass covering the cliff. I inhale a deep breath. “Do you smell that? The air? The sea?” I ask.
He inhales as well. “Aye. It’s nice.”
“It’s you. Just like I’ve always told you.”
He smiles and nods.
It’s Irish.
It’s Padraig.
