Tock the dwarf had boils all over his body. When he was stripped of his golden medallion the aftereffect somehow cursed him and he was in constant pain. Perhaps the trickster god may even had placed a hex on him. Either way, he wanted revenge. Tock walked over to the side table beside the four poster bed and grabbed an old, leather bound book from the drawer. The renegade dwarf then made his way towards his new master.
Solomon took the book from the dwarf’s tiny hands and flipped through the thick pages. It was essentially a collection of old papyrus scrolls that were bound together in human skin. He could see the complex hieroglyphs and arcane symbols in its pages. “Ah, so this is the Book of Toth. How wonderful indeed.”
Tock scratched at his beard and became annoyed when a whole tuft of hair underneath his chin came loose. The curse was worse than he ever imagined. “Aye, and what shall thou be doing now?”
Solomon laughed. His greatest rival was dead and the remaining followers of the Temple were now slaves of the dark elves. But Orlok had done enough damage to Germany that the rest of Europe would no longer be a threat to his empire in Rome. He was pretty much left to his own devices now. The next phase of his master plan was about to begin.
