He pinched the bridge of his nose. “Kissing is all we’re going to do.”
“Who the fuck are you right now?” I knew he was trying to be a gentleman, but he should’ve thought about that before getting me crazy turned on.
“I’m trying to be somebody who deserves you.” His eyes were hooded. He truly meant what he said.
“Well, damn,” I whispered. I couldn’t fight him. His words were too truthful.
“Can I stay with you tonight? Nothing is going to happen, but…I’m not ready to say goodbye yet.” He paced again, laughing without humor. “I hate myself right now, if it makes you feel better. I need to leave, but I can’t. You need me to touch you, but I don’t trust myself. I’m sorry I’m screwed up.”
I smiled down at my lap. His truth bombs only made him more endearing. I nodded. “Yeah. But you need to sit over there or something until I cool down. I’m horny as all get out.”
He moaned into his hands and sat on the Lazy Boy. “Ugh. I’m dying. I may need a cold shower or something. Don’t say anything sexy or do anything sexy.”
I laughed at the compliment. “We could pick a really screwed-up movie to get our minds off this.” I motioned between the two of us, and he smiled.
“Yes. A really fucked-up movie.”
“Deal.”
Chapter 30
Patience Is Truly a Virtue I Wasn’t Born With-Aiden
“SO the latest gossip is in. Aiden Chad seen with local bartender. And the best part is there’s a picture of the two of you going at it against a door. Glad to see you finally grew some balls.”
“Let me see the picture.” I grabbed Jon’s phone from him and saw on Twitter a picture someone must’ve taken the night we went out. I had no clue why people thought my life was interesting. This was borderline creepy, but then again, it wasn’t the first time I found myself plastered on Twitter like some high-profile celeb. “Why is this shit just popping up now? It was over a week ago.”
“I don’t know, dude. I don’t understand the girls on this campus. It’d be nice to hear it from you instead of reading about it online, though.” His tone wasn’t angry, but I felt like an ass.
“Sorry, man, I’ve been so fucking busy. I decided on a major, and I’m weeks behind on a research project because I changed topics.”
“Not pissed or anything, just entertained. First, your brother and you make truce. Then your dad all of a sudden supports you. And now Jenna? You’re having a hell of a semester, and I couldn’t be happier for you, man.” Jon smiled, serious.
“It means a lot. You of all people know this is huge between my dad and me.”
“Fuck yeah, it’s huge. This is great news.” He clapped me on the back. “Now let’s hope the event planner at this hall is competent enough to work through the details with us. Last year, they screwed up the Kappa formal.”
“We’re sure paying enough for it to be perfect, so yeah. They better be competent.”
We walked into the hall, and after two hours of discussion of decorations and plans for our yearly winter formal, we left itchy to play a sport or punch something, anything to get the testosterone flowing again.
Jon scoffed. “Never in my life have I cared about what color tulle will be on the lights or what balloons are at the entrance. Why couldn’t we hire a decorator?”
“Because we’re trying to save money and put it to better use. Like the booze and DJ,” I said, agreeing with him, though. I didn’t enjoy a single second of decorating.
“I feel like I grew an ovary or something. Grr. I need to have a drink. Something straight up,” Jon growled.
I nodded. “Same. Let’s have one back at the house. I could use one before working on this project all night.”
“Jenna stopping by?” he asked.
“Don’t know. She’s working this afternoon, so maybe after.”
“Nice. I’m sure she’d help with decorations. Why don’t you ask her? She’s a girl.”
“Yesss—” I drew out the word. “She’s a girl, but she’s not one to help with decorating. She’d be more help building tables.”
Jon chuckled. “She is pretty badass. Speaking of her, though…Uh, would it be weird if I asked her roommate Maya to the formal?”
“Not at all. I say go for it. We can all do something together. It’d be fun.” My mood lightened at the thought of winter formal. Jenna would fight me tooth and nail, but I knew I could get her to go.
“Awesome-sauce. Now enough sentimental talk. Let’s have a beer and watch sports.”
I gave him a withering stare. “Jon, people don’t just say, ‘Let’s watch sports’.”
“I don’t give a fuck. I’m putting on ESPN and yelling profanity at the TV, maybe beating my chest for good measure.”
I laughed and made fun of him the whole walk back. A couple hours later, I laid out all of my notes, laptop, books, and notebooks on my desk with some Jack Johnson blaring.
I felt my phone vibrate and smiled when Jenna’s name came up.
Jenna: Hey! Sorry I didn’t look at my phone all afternoon. I’m just getting off now. Whatcha doing?
Aiden: Just got my project ready to go. Look at all this shit. It’ll take all night. I attached a picture of the mess on my desk
Jenna: Woof. I have some work to do, too.
Aiden: Bring it here.
Jenna: Sure. Be there soon.
I looked at my unmade bed and remembered how hard it was to not attack her in her sleep last night. We spend every night together in bed, but still not really sleeping together. It was the best and worst fucking thing in the world. Best because I got to hold her and wake up to her. Worst because I still had three more weeks of dating her until I could sleep with her. Dumb rule, but it was what needed to happen.
“Hey. Your room looks like a library vomited.” She walked in a little while later like a breath of fresh air.
I stood from my desk and picked her up to kiss her. It was the most natural thing in the world to just kiss her. It officially moved into my top five favorite things to do. “I love it when you talk dirty.”
“If this is your idea of dirty talk, then you’re a nutbag. I’m realizing my life is just filled with nutbags.” She set her pack on the ground and put her arms around me, glancing up. “But I liked what you did with your mouth there. Do it again.”
We kissed like horny teenagers for a couple minutes before I set her down. “So work—it was good?”
She gave me a knowing glance at the huskiness in my voice, but she laughed. “It was good. Cyn and Ainsley stopped by. I am obsessed with her by the way. In love. Whipped. All the above.”
“Yeah? She is pretty cute.”
“Cutest baby ever. Plus, I made a good hundred in a couple hours. Overall, great day. How was yours?”
“Better now.” I wiggled my eyebrows.
“God, you’re such a cheeseball. All right. Let’s do this shit.” Her expression morphed into battle mode, but it made her look like a big dork. I loved it.
“You should be a motivational speaker. You would do wonders.”
“Don’t I know it? I call the beanbag. I still can’t get over the fact you have one, but whatever. Not judging.” She put her hands up and shook her head.
I rolled my eyes, and we got to work.
* * * *
“Holy balls, I’m tired.” She grunted, lying on the ground on her stomach.
“You work more than anyone I know, study harder than anyone, and are always on the go. You deserve a break.”
“I like your idea, but I need to finish this chapter. Even if it kills me.” She rolled over. I sat down against the base of the bed and began rubbing her feet.
The music was still playing, and I closed my eyes, enjoying the moment.
“You keep grunting. You okay?” I asked a couple minutes later.
“Not really. I’m having a hard time working when you’re rubbing my feet. I had no idea my feet
turned me on until right now.”
“You like this, huh?” I loved it when her voice dropped.
“Feels fucking amazing.” She moaned.
“Good. All part of my plan.” I apparently was a sucker for pain because I couldn’t stop touching her.
“Well, it’s working, and I hate it,” she said, muffled by the beanbag.
“Why?”
“I want you,” she said without missing a beat.
I sighed but stuck to my resolve, even though it was damn near difficult. “Jenna, you’re a once-in-a-lifetime kind of girl. I plan on treating you like one. Once you accept it, the happier you’ll be. So get that through your pretty little head, capisce?”
She growled. “This sucks. I hate your plan.”
“Don’t backtalk me, woman. I’m barely holding on. I just said I wanted to take it slow and not ruin what we have. I didn’t say I didn’t have other ways to please you.”
“Ugh! Fine. Where are these other ways, then? Huh? Show me, or I need to go home and masturbate or something, because I’m so turned on I can’t see straight. So if you aren’t going to help me, then goodbye!” She hopped off my floor and grabbed her bag before I sprang into action.
“Get back on the bed,” I commanded, yet I knew it wouldn’t work. Jenna was about as submissive as a pit bull.
“No! I don’t want to torture myself anymore.”
“Jenna…” I lowered my voice and saw her interest peak. “Get on the bed. Now. I promise it’ll be worth it.
“I swear to God, Aiden, if you don’t—” I strode over and captured her mouth in my hand to shut her up, then tossed her on the bed.
“Oh. My,” she said with swollen lips. I loved knowing I did that to her—the wet lips begging for me.
“I’m still not going to sleep with you for a month. But I am going to explore your body with my mouth. Every fucking inch of you.”
I grabbed her pants and slowly slid them down her legs, exposing her barely-there thong. I’d seen her in a swimsuit, but this was different. The dark thong stood out against her gorgeous tan thighs. “Look at you. Mmm.” I began kissing her inner thighs, up toward her stomach. I pushed up her shirt and slowly took it off. “I can’t wait to get to second base.”
“I’m more a fan of third. Kick it up a gear, champ. I’m dying here.”
“Hell no. I’m taking my time with you.” And I did.
An hour later, Jenna lay there completely naked, spread out on my bed. Her hair was all over my pillows, and the evidence of what I just did to her was on the sheets. It made me want to beat on my chest and show her off to the world.
“I can’t move,” she mumbled.
“You don’t have to.” I was still sitting on the bed, tracing circles on her stomach with my fingers.
“I’ve never come so many times before. I literally cannot feel my toes. Or my fingers.”
I chuckled softly and pressed a light kiss to her mouth. “Mission accomplished. I’m going to hop in the shower real quick. I expect you to be here when I get back.”
“What about you? I need to return the favor.” She opened her eyes and pointed to the raging boner poking out of my shorts.
It took every single ounce of my self-control to say what I did, but it was worth it. She was worth it. “No, don’t worry about this. He’ll calm down. I’ll take care of it in the shower.” I winked, but she sat up.
“I want to shower with you.” Her voice came out like a purr, which was so unlike her.
I sighed. “Jenna, I don’t think that’ll be a good idea.”
“I really don’t care if you think it’s a good idea. Take off your clothes.” She leaned forward with a goal in sight and grabbed the hem of my shorts, yanking them down. “Oh. My. God.” Her eyes widened, and she looked back and forth between my boner and my face.
Yeah, I gotta huge cock. I wasn’t bashful about it at all.
“You are fucking huge.” She licked her lips, and he jumped at her. She grabbed my length in her small hand, and I groaned. It felt so fucking good.
She began pumping me with both hands.
“Jesus, you feel good.”
She kept pumping and put her mouth on me. I was pretty sure I almost saw sounds at that point. My head spun. My life was in her hands.
“Fuck, if you don’t slow down, I’m going to come.” I bucked, so close to losing it.
She didn’t slow or stop. She didn’t remove her mouth either when I embarrassingly came sooner than I would’ve liked.
“Jesus. You felt…Gah. Amazing.” I opened my eyes, and her green irises darkened with pleasure.
She smiled and licked her lips, causing my guy to jump again. “Shower, now.”
I picked her up and carried her into the shower, where we both explored each other’s bodies. Multiple times. Until we were so clean the water got cold.
An hour later, we were both naked in my bed, wrapped in towels.
“Aiden, if you had asked me three months ago, I never would have guessed we’d be naked in your bed right now.”
I rolled her over so she was pressed against my side. “Yeah. But, what matters is how far we’ve come now.”
“You said come. Heh-heh.” She snorted.
“You are such a dork.” She was still naked, and I traced her neck, chest, and arms as we spoke. Her body was a work of art, and I couldn’t wait to be with her.
“I know. You are, too.” She rested her head on my shoulder and sighed. “Sorry we didn’t get much schoolwork done.”
“No complaints here. This was way better.”
“Yeah, it was.” She pushed herself up, a blush on her cheeks. “It’s my fault we got distracted. I shouldn’t have demanded anything from you. I’m sorry. I can help you organize your notes. I know you have a lot to do.”
“Babe, you can demand that from me any second of any fucking day. I have plenty of time to work. And no, you are not helping me organize my notes. You have enough to deal with.”
“If you’re sure…I don’t mind.”
I stopped my caressing and waited until she looked at me.
I shook my head. “I know you don’t. I’m still not letting you help me, though.”
She got up and searched for her things tossed around my room. “Uh, not sure where my clothes are.”
“Just throw on one of my shirts. We’ll find yours later. Wanna stay here tonight?”
She nodded and grabbed one of my high school T-shirts. It went down to her knees, but she looked fucking adorable. She turned around to grab a book, and I saw the shirt had my last name on the back. It stopped my breath. “I really like seeing you in my clothes.”
She shrugged and threw me her shirt. “Put mine on. Maybe you’ll look good, too.”
“Ha! Nice try. Not happening.” I laughed at her proposal. Only she would suggest something so ridiculous.
She snickered and pointed to my desk. “Get to work. You ain’t touching this bod until you get some shit done.”
“You run a hard bargain, Barmaid Jenna.”
She popped her lips. “Another reason why I’m the boss.”
Chapter 31
Leave Your Dignity At the Door-Jenna
“IT’S karaoke night at the bar tonight. Should I save your usual table?” I asked Maya and Kennedy over the bowl of cereal I snacked on.
“Hells yeah. I’ve looked forward to this all day. It’s been a rough week.” Maya sighed, dragging it out longer than necessary.
“Maya, it’s only Tuesday,” Kennedy replied with a snort.
“Yeah, so? It’s still been tough for me.” Maya shrugged.
“Your basic math classes too hard on you?” Kennedy challenged, her lips pursing.
“You’re so funny, Ken. Elementary math is very challenging. I could kick your ass at a times table right now.” She stuck out her tongue.
“Bring it on, slut. Just print them off and we’ll go,” Kennedy fired back.
/>
“Ladies, we only have two more weeks until finals. If you losers need to do times tables to let off some steam, then by all means, carry on when I’m gone.” I held up two fingers, rolling my eyes at them.
“Ugh. Says the girl who’s getting major action from the hottest guy on campus,” Maya muttered under her breath.
I shook my head. “No, he still refuses to sleep with me until we’ve dated a month—or whatever the hell we call it. He’s trying to be noble, but it’s just pissing me off.”
“It’s romantic, J. It’s kinda sweet.” Maya’s voice softened, an unfamiliar sound coming from her.
“Well, you guys can think it’s sweet all you want, but it’s frustrating.” I knew I sounded like a little bitch. They both smirked. “Don’t say it. I know I’m being annoying. This is new for me.”
“It’s just so easy to give you shit, but you know we’re so happy for you, right?” Maya replied with the same sweet voice, causing me to feel uncomfortable.
“Yeah, yeah. I gotta bounce, sluts. I’ll see you around seven-ish, right?”
“Yup, we’ll be there,” Kennedy answered and then began rambling about some computer program to shame Maya.
I smiled, needing to get out of there ASAP.
I grabbed my jacket and helmet. It was the third karaoke night we’d done to boost attendance on Tuesday nights. I was proud to say it was my idea, and it was working.
“J-Money’s in the hizzouse!”
“Are you drunk or on duty today, Joel? I never know ’cause you’re always here.”
“I’m working the bar with you tonight. Cyn’s coming back to work officially.” He clapped his hands with a huge-ass grin. I grinned, too. We all missed the shit out of her.
“Hells yeah! It’ll be great to see her and nice to just be a normal bartender tonight. I’m excited.”
“Same. Let’s grab some food before they start packing in. I gotta say this karaoke thing seems to be working out. It was a good idea, J.” He put an arm around me and gave me a quick squeeze. “It provides a new challenge for me.”
“What? To go after girls who have talents beyond the bedroom?” I quipped at him.
“You read my mind, J-Money.” He passed a plate of fries to me and looked way too pleased with himself. I decided I didn’t want to know and shoved the food in my face because there would be no time once the night started.
