She looked herself over again. She preferred to be all dressed up, but it was Saturday and she had a lot of errands to run. She applied some lip gloss. You can’t always look like a diva, hon, she told herself. Gotta get going. She almost bumped into Donna on her way out of the gym.
“Slow your roll, girl,” Donna said. “You kicked butt today.”
Tari smiled as she headed for the exit and toward the parking lot. Phase one of the day was over. Now she had things to do. Tonight would be a big night. She couldn’t wait.
