When she finally came down from the high of her orgasm, Ash was hovering over her with a content smile.

“I am honored that you accepted me, my pretty girl. Are you ready for more?”

Emily nodded, but then remembered Logan’s directions at the last minute. “Yes, Sir.”

“Good girl,” Ash said and then leaned down and claimed her lips. She could taste herself on his lips, and it ramped up her own desire even more.

Logan and Ash adjusted Emily on the bed until her head hung over the side of the mattress.

“Can you handle us both, pet?”

“Yes, Master,” Emily said and then licked her lips.

Logan grabbed a red bandanna out of the top drawer. “I want you to hold this. If you need us to stop, I want you to drop it.”

“Yes, Master, and thank you.” Emily took the bandanna as Ash shoved into her in one swift thrust and Logan pressed his cock into her mouth. Logan held her head steady as he slowly thrust into her mouth deeper.

Remembering how she’d deep throated Logan in the past, she relaxed her throat and let his cock slide in. When she felt the slight instinct to gag, she swallowed.

“Oh fuck, baby.” Logan groaned, and she saw him throw his head back and close his eyes.

Fighting a grin of satisfaction that she had so much power over Logan, she concentrated on breathing when he pulled out and swallowing when he thrust in.

“I won’t last. She’s too good at throat fucking, Ash.” Logan set up a brutal rhythm that might have scared her if she didn’t have a way to signal she needed a break. She knew when to breathe and concentrated on Logan’s pleasure, until Ash shoved his cock back into her wet pussy. He was much thicker than Logan, and she gasped as he hit nerves she never knew existed.

Logan growled as he came, and she swallowed him down as Ash pounded into her. Emily opened her mouth to breath around Logan as Ash pounded into her and once again, her body coiled.

“Your turn, pet,” Logan whispered as he pulled out of her mouth and moved out of the way.

Ash gripped her hips and set up a rhythm that shook her body. Logan played with her nipples as Emily moaned and attempted to writhe underneath Ash. Spots appeared before her eyes as she detonated and her orgasm crashed over her. Through her own cries, she heard Ash roaring out his own release, and then everything went dark. Emily heard worried voices, and then she could see.

“Oh thank the stars. She’s awake, Marcus,” Logan said worriedly into his cell phone.

“Yeah, thanks for trying to find Yerel, and we’ll refrain until she can see him.”

Emily looked around. She was cradled in Ash’s arms while Logan spoke on the phone.

“How are you feeling, Em?” Ash asked worriedly as he stroked her face with a damp cloth.

“Okay, wonderful.” Emily smiled up at Ash. She’d never been so happy in her life, but her men were worried.

Logan put his phone down. “Marcus said to try not to worry. It wasn’t the first time a female fainted during sex. He said to be safe, we should hold off on any more until Yerel gets back from Ashville.”

“Good idea,” Ash agreed. “She still looks very tired even after her nap today.”

“I want you to stay in the house, pet.” Logan said with a worried frown.

Emily shook her head. “Please don’t lock me away. I’m fine, really, and Gram is waiting for me. She is sort of stuck in her apartment, and she wanted to play with Jackson a bit. I also need to grab my luggage.”

Logan and Ash gave each other a long look as they pondered her request. “Ash should go with you.”

Emily shook her head. “Ash has to get to work. I saw he has a shift tonight at the fire department, and you were up most of the night, Logan. I will be fine. I’ll have Matt there, and he’ll load the car for me.”

Both of them nodded. “You need to make sure you are back before it gets too late. I don’t want you wearing yourself out any more than you already are.” Ash gave her a worried smile.

“I will be back no later than ten tonight. I pinky swear.”

Logan and Ash grinned and held up their pinkies. “It’s a promise.”

  Chapter Five

The front door shut with a thud, and Emily leaned against it for a moment. What the hell was that?

“Emily?” Gram called from her room.

“Yeah, Gram, it’s me. Sorry, I was a lot longer than I planned to be.”

“Oh, Logan texted Matt and said you two were spending the day together to talk. Did you work things out?”

He calls that talking? Emily laughed and walked toward Gram’s room. “Yeah, we did. I am going to stay there with Jackson.” Emily walked into Gram’s room and smiled. “I am so confused though.”

Gram patted a wooden chair next to the one she sat in by her TV tray. She still had her bathrobe on and a humidifier going close to her. She also had a fresh box of tissues and cough drops within reach.

Emily carried Jackson, kissed Gram’s cheek, and handed Jackson to Gram, before moving over to the other wooden chair. She handed Jackson one of his toys, and he took it in his hand and stared at the colors. Emily watched Jackson for a moment. Wasn’t this kind of fascination with objects early for a twelve-week-old?

“What has you so confused, dear?” Gram smiled at Jackson and then returned her attention to Emily.

Emily turned her gaze to Gram. “I went to that lodge place with every intention to say, ‘Here’s your son, I don’t expect anything from you, and good-bye.’”

“That’s not what happened though, is it?”

Emily shook her head. “No, he was shocked of course, but he got over it really quick and then I could see he was in love. He fed and burped him, and he even changed his diaper. He wanted to know why I left without telling him, and when I told him, he apologized.” Emily paused to breathe after all that.

“So you expected him to behave like your mother,” Gram said with a disgusted look on her face. “But when he treated you like he cared and messed up, it shoved your emotions into a tailspin.”

“Yeah.” Emily didn’t want to drag Gram into all the strangeness. Not one single man had seemed shocked at what had gone on, and Logan and Ash talked as if they were marking their territory or something.

Gram patted her hand. “Dear, you know how I feel about Logan.” Gram looked over her head for a moment. “There is something different about many of the people in this town. I am not sure what it is, but I feel Logan is a part of it.”

“Do you think Logan is into something illegal?”

Gram shook her head. “No, dear, I’ve never met someone more honorable and protective as Logan and some of his friends. Whenever they came over with your brother, they were sincere in their desire to help. I never sensed anything evil about them, and I am thrilled that you are giving him another chance.”

  “There’s more, Gram.”

“More? My, you’ve been busy today, dear.”

With a smile, Emily stroked Jackson’s cheek. “They want a polygamous relationship with Logan, Ash, and me.” Emily paused and saw Gram didn’t look ready to faint, so she plowed on. “Ash loves Jackson and me, too. I definitely feel something for him. I want to try.” Emily bit down lightly on her lower lip as she waited to see if Gram would have a litter of kittens at the news.

Gram was quiet for a moment. “There is a lot of that around here. I am somehow not surprised. Like I said, I believe Logan is involved in whatever is going on around this town.” Gram watched her for a moment. “Are you happy though? Don’t do this because Logan or Ash want you to. You do this because it makes you happy and it is good for this baby.”

Emily nodded as she released a breath with a smile. “It does. I am so happy, Gram. I never imagined I could be this happy ever.”

Gram smiled. “Then go and claim your men, baby girl.”

That dreaded feeling was back again. Emily looked around the parking lot of the grocery store as the hair stood up on t
he back of her neck. It was daylight and snow covered the ground, and she didn’t see anything suspicious but still couldn’t shake the fear.

She opened the back door and put Jackson in the back of the car. When she looked back up, there was a man standing on the island between the parking isles. She blinked because she was sure he hadn’t been there before. He wore all black, and his hair was also black and board straight. It reached down to his mid-back and was combed until it shined like lacquer. Her eyes met his, and she noticed a red tint to his eyes. She tried to look away, but she was held frozen.

“Get your child and come with me.” The man’s voice seemed to echo in Emily’s mind, and she didn’t even think twice about it. She turned and pulled Jackson out of his car seat and turned to walk toward the man. She stepped up to the median where trees grew when a snarl broke the spell. Emily blinked and looked around in confusion. “What the—?”

One of the men who had watched her with Logan and Ash, Dylan, punched the man. “What the fuck are you doing, bloodsucker?”

“I was just trying to help the female, enforcer.”

Emily started to shake as the horror of what nearly happened dawned on her. The black-clothed man made her hair stand on end with how sinister he looked, yet she was going to leave with him. She wasn’t sure how she was so certain, but she knew nothing good would have happened if she’d left with him.

“She is Logan and Ash’s intended mate. She doesn’t need your help.” Dylan turned to Emily. “Get back to Logan, Emily. Now!” Dylan picked up his phone and spoke quickly into it before shoving it back into his jeans pocket.

Dylan knew her name? The other guy had almost made her leave with him to god only knows where, and she still felt like a hunted doe. Run, her senses screamed at her. Emily turned and could barely get Jackson back in his seat with how badly her hands shook.

A terrifying and all too familiar snarl echoed through the air. Emily whipped around with her heart beating hard enough for her to feel her pulse by the pounding in her ears. Two dogs that looked like the ones that had tried to attack her back in California were prowling toward her. Their wicked sharp teeth dripped frothy saliva as they approached.

Emily shoved Jackson into his seat and closed the door, and then she put her back to it. She felt paralyzed with fear as she faced the snarling dogs. Get in the car, her inner voice screamed. Emily reached over and opened the door handle and, with a scream of pure terror, jumped in. Just as she closed the door, the dogs were on her car.

Screaming, Emily leaned over the seat and fastened Jackson into his car seat, and then she got her keys out. Dylan walked over to her car and picked up one of the dogs and threw him as if he was a stuffed toy.

“You really want to do this shit, here? In daylight? I’m not sure about North Carolina, but in Texas a supernatural faces the council’s wrath for revealing themselves in front of humans.” Dylan started to strip off his clothing right by her car.

The fight was vicious, but short. With an ear-splitting yelp, the dog tried to get away from Dylan. His black claws shredded the other dogs, and they went from attacking to trying to get away from Dylan. His fingers sank into the throat of one of the smaller dogs, and she watched in horror as blood ran down the fur. Dylan was killing the dog with his bare hand!

“You fools!” The dark-haired man’s eyes were blazing with fury. “I told you not to hunt the human again, and I would retrieve her!”

Emily didn’t understand any of this. Dylan was still fighting with one of the dogs, and the black-haired man was walking toward her.

With shaking hands, she got her key into the ignition and turned it before putting the car into drive. She hated to leave her rescuer alone, but she didn’t want that man to get ahold of her either.

Emily’s car slid on the ice, and she screamed as the back end swung out, hitting the man who had been approaching her. He clung to the car for a moment, and once again, she heard his voice in her mind saying, “Emily. Stop the car and come with me.” For a moment she had the overpowering urge to follow his instructions.

Dylan jumped onto the back of the man, and he screeched an inhuman sound as Emily hit the gas. Thankfully, the voice and desire to obey was gone, though. Emily wasn’t hanging around to find out if it would come back, and she sped to the road once again and her tires found traction.

Jackson screamed in the back seat, and Emily wiped her tears away as she steered her car onto the street. Wolf Creek was a small town, so it didn’t take her long to get to the highway. She had no idea where she was going; she just pressed the gas and drove. Her car shuddered with every shift of the transmission, and she ran the stop signs with barely a glance.

Stop! her mind screamed at her. You’re going to wreck the car and then have no escape from them, whatever they were. Her mind shied away from the possibilities of what she’d just witnessed.

She wanted to go home, but the dogs had followed her from California. They’d hurt Gram if she led them back to her place. Logan will help you. No, she couldn’t risk Logan and Ash either. Whatever was hunting her, she had to leave town and start running. Thankfully, her job only required an internet connection. Logan and Ash’s faces appeared in her vision, and she let out a heartbroken cry. Just as she found love, she had to leave. She hoped Logan would forgive her, but she had to run again.

Ash’s fury burned as Dylan’s call over the network came through. Mortef had sent one of his bloodsuckers to try and lure Emily away, and then coyotes had attacked, in their town, and in broad fucking daylight. They’d really fucked up by attacking one of the council’s enforcers though. If it had been anyone but Dylan, they may not have survived an attack by a coyote pack and a vampire.

The cell phone vibrated against his chest, and Ash pulled it out of the special harness Yerel had made for him.

  “Yeah?”

“Do you have Emily?” Logan asked. His voice sounded as infuriated and frantic as Ash felt.

“No. Last I knew she was at her grandmother’s apartment.”

“Fuck.” Logan’s snarl sounded more animal than human. He wasn’t holding onto his skin very well, which meant he was losing control. “Dylan said he sent her to me. I’ve waited, but she didn’t show up.”

Ash got out of his car after parking it and looked around the parking lot where Emily had just been attacked. She had just been here, and if it wasn’t for Dylan, she’d be gone from him. Ash’s protectiveness grew stronger and he walked to where Tyler and Derek were talking while Yerel healed Dylan’s wounds. It was a wonder Dylan wasn’t dead. One lycan could take on a couple of coyotes, but add in a vampire and hardly anyone could fight off that kind of attack alone. It was only Dylan’s experience with fighting rogue packs and vampires that had saved his life.

“Hold on, Logan. Let me see what’s going on.”

When Ash approached, Derek’s lips were pressed into a grim line. “Do you have Emily?”

Tyler shook his head. “Logan just asked me the same thing. What the fuck happened?”

Derek glanced down at Dylan’s still body. “Before he lost consciousness, he said he told Emily to run to Logan, and she left.”

Ash looked around the parking lot. Marcus talked with the manager as several of their enforcers who were good with mental manipulation talked with some humans who had witnessed the fight. They didn’t need to wipe their memories, as much as convince them that they’d witnessed a wild animal coming out of the forest and attacking.

“I swear I saw that young man sprout hair and fangs,” Mrs. Baity, who owned the beauty salon in the grocery store’s shopping center, told Marcus.

Marcus shook his head slowly at her. “No, Norma. You just got confused between those rabid coyotes and Tyler. He was trying to distract them from hurting Emily and her baby, so she could get away.”

Norma nodded and looked around. One of the deputy sheriffs came over with his notepad. “Okay, Norma. Did you see anything?”

  She nodded, cau
sing her bun to wobble and more strands of her red hair to come loose. “Oh yes, Wayne. I saw it all. Emily was putting that precious baby of hers in the car when these wild dogs came out of nowhere, and they tried to attack her. That young man over there… What’s his name?” She tapped her chin as if trying to recall.

“Dylan Marshall,” Marcus supplied for her.

“Oh yes. Thank you, Marcus,” Norma said with a smile. “Dylan distracted the dogs until Emily could get away, and then those nasty dogs attacked that poor man. Is he going to be okay?”

“I hope so, Norma.” Deputy Wayne Burgess glanced at Marcus. “Are these the same wild dogs we’ve had problems with before?”

“I believe so, but this time Emily was the target.”

Ash turned his attention back to Derek. “No one knows where Emily is.”

Derek scanned the tree line as if the wind could tell him where to start looking. “You three have not mated yet, have you?”

“No,” Ash said, kicking himself. They should have kept Emily and just done it. Forced matings were very rare among their pack, and only done for the protection of a mate. They’d thought she would be safe in Wolf Creek, since it was protected by a strong pack. It was too late now to realize Emily needed the protection, even in the middle of their pack lands. They would have been able to use their bond to help find her. “We only marked her as ours so the others would know to keep their paws off.”

Derek nodded. “That is the first step in mating. Perhaps Enon can use that to help us find her.”

  “Enon? The witch?”

“Sure. She is very good with her spells and using nature. Emily was terrified when she left. That is a powerful emotion. Perhaps Enon can get some of Emily’s DNA and trace her.”

Ash gave Derek a dubious look. “A DNA spell to trace Emily?”

“It’s worth a shot. Enon has helped the police before to find missing people,” Derek said with a shrug. “Marcus is close to both Enon and Yerel.”
