CHAPTER 1
"So, are you going to fuck him?"
The question caught Maddie completely by surprise. Seated in the passenger seat of the car, she had been content to let her best friend Carey drive in silence as she stared out the window and watched the traffic roll by. So, when Carey asked the question, Maddie was forced to do a double take, sure that she had misheard.
"This again?" she eventually managed, still not sure that she had heard her friend right.
Carey answered the question with a cheeky grin, suggesting that she was in fact kidding, and Maddie let out a sigh of relief. But then, as Carey turned back to face the road, her face became serious, and Maddie knew that as far as her friend was concerned, the subject was far from over.
Dressed up as concern, Carey had been nagging Maddie all week, trying to convince her not to go. Just the previous night, Carey had brought it up again. And then again, this morning, she made sure to raise the exact same concerns. Even now, as Carey drove Maddie to her destination, she could sense her best friend's trepidation towards the circumstance.
As much as it annoyed Maddie, she couldn't blame her best friend for being cautious. This wasn't like anything that Maddie had ever done before. But that was what made it so exciting.
Maddie was, for all intents and purposes, a normal twenty-three year old girl. She had grown up in a middle-class suburb in Pasadena, California; had a tight group of perfectly normal friends who went to college during the week and partied on weekends; and enjoyed such leisure activities as going to the beach when it was hot and working out at the gym every other day. Yes, a totally normal upbringing by any standard. And, just like all girls of Maddie's age, she also had an Instagram account.
If Maddie was being perfectly honest, her Instagram account was nothing special. It was a hybrid of gym and beach photos that had managed to see her collect a few hundred followers. She would post a photo of herself squatting in the gym and get excited if more than fifty people liked it. It was a rush that she hated to admit she relished. Most photos she posted received the same amount of attention from the same people. A commonality that she had become okay with. That was, until four days previously when she posted a new picture that changed everything.
Maddie had just finished up a particularly grueling session at the gym - leg day of course. As she admired herself in the mirror afterwards, she couldn't help but notice how firm and rotund her butt was looking. Really, the best it ever had. Maddie was an attractive girl, no one could deny that. She was tall for a woman, and despite her long legs and slim build, she had still managed to be blessed with ample breasts, and a big beautiful booty to go with them. On top of that, she also had devastatingly gorgeous green eyes, luxurious and highlighted dark hair and an innocent smile – topped off with the cutest dimples ever.
So, in the heat of the moment, Maddie had taken a few quick snaps, chose the best one and posted it on Instagram for the world to see. And that was where she assumed it would end. A few likes and nothing more. But it wasn't just a few likes, or a few dozen. It was hundreds. Then thousands. Within twenty-four hours, the picture had gotten more likes than any she had ever posted and her modest number of followers had multiplied. And then, when she was sure that it couldn't get any better, he messaged her.
Carey began, "All I'm saying is, watch out. These guys make a living off it."
"He's a professional," Maddie scoffed. "I'm sure that fucking is the last thing on his mind?" Although she tried to speak with authority, the waver in her voice suggested that she wasn't so sure.
"Don't be so sure. You know how these photographers work? The hardest part about seducing someone is getting their clothes off. And considering what you're going to his place to do... did you pack any condoms?"
"Carey! I don’t plan on getting naked for him!" Maddie rolled her eyes at her friend’s assumption.
"Just double checking," Carey rushed. "What kind of friend would I be if I didn't make sure you were as protected as possible?" Carey continued to stare ahead as she drove the car. A small smile spread across her lips, suggesting a rather amusing thought. "So... do you think he has a big dick?"
Maddie ignored the question as she went back to looking out the car window. She was, in truth, still a little preoccupied with thoughts of how she had come to be here in the first place. It was all so surreal.
The day after she had posted that photo, she had received a direct message from Curt Stone. At first, Maddie had no idea who the heck Curt Stone was. He referenced her photo directly, and she thus assumed he was just some online creep. But a few moments of cyber-stalking later, Maddie realized that he was anything but.
From what Maddie could gather, Curt Stone was a photographer who specialized in glamour photography. He had taken photos of everyone from Labella Rain to Jen Steller. All were Instagram famous and all boasted followers in the millions. He was big time and for some reason he had taken a liking to Maddie.
"So, do you know anything about this shoot?" Carey probed as she navigated the car through dense LA traffic. "I mean, he messages you out of the blue and what? Just expects you to come and pose for him?"
Maddie frowned at her friend as she tried to decide the best way to answer this question for the hundredth time. Carey had been against this from the get go and she continued to bring up the idea of sex. She seemed so certain that the only reason someone like Curt Stone would be interested in her, was to get into her pants. And she was even more certain that a prude like Maddie would run for the hills at the idea.
When Curt first messaged Maddie, she had thought the exact same thing. And if she were telling the truth, she didn't really mind. Not one bit. She had spent hours looking over photos of Curt, delighting in what she saw. It was odd that Curt liked being behind the camera so much, as his physique was ideal for being directly in front of it. Not only was he tall, broad and muscular, but he was wickedly handsome too. He had a shaved head, a chiseled jawline and deep blue eyes that Maddie had lost several minutes staring into online – how much more powerful would they be in person?
"He's just going to take some photos and help me gather a following, which will hopefully lead to more exposure, which will hopefully lead to…well, something else, I hope," Maddie told her friend. "I study marketing. So ergo, I could use the followers and maybe make a little money out of it in the end?" Although the words were true enough, the way that Maddie bit the lower portion of her lip as she spoke, suggested that she had other things on her mind. And she was pretty sure those thoughts were for Curt Stone.
"As long as that's all he's doing. Listen, you don't want to be just another pussy for this guy, okay? Take the photos, get the followers but don't spread your legs. Otherwise he'll take what he wants and then drop you like a bag of old fish."
As Maddie nodded in thanks, she couldn't help but smile. She knew that Carey was only trying to help. And how could Maddie get mad at Carey for that, when she agreed with her. Maddie wasn't going to have sex with Curt. She was going to go to his house, take the photos and then hope somebody big saw them. That was it. Despite how truly sexy Curt was, and despite how charming he was most likely going to be, Maddie would control herself.
She had to – she didn’t want to be that girl.
CHAPTER 2
/> For the second time, Curt made his way through the set, double checking that everything was perfect. From the lighting, to the back drop, right on down to the way the breeze blew in lightly from the west, he always made sure that everything was just right. Today was too important to make mistakes. But after another walk through, he had to admit that the set was as perfect as the day promised to be.
Letting out a long sigh of relief, Curt fell back into his chair, satisfied. But this satisfaction only lasted a second. Soon he was getting antsy. He hated waiting, and considering who he was waiting for, well he was bound to be a little nervous.
Checking his watch, he saw that it was just after 10:00AM, which meant that she was late. For some reason, he felt all wound up. He had done dozens of these shoots before, with some of the most beautiful women on the planet and yet this nobody was giving him heart palpitations?
Curt pulled out his phone again and checked her Instagram account just to make sure that he hadn’t been delusional when he decided that Maddie was going to change his life forever. 'Maddie.Fine' was the name of the account.
He remembered clearly the moment he had found it. He could even remember what he had been thinking about as the photo came up on his 'explore' and he clicked on it.
Curt had been around beautiful women his entire adult life. That was his job, to take photos of the hottest creatures the world had to offer and share them with the rest of the world. He wasn’t only good at it either – he was great. He had a knack for discovering the inner beauty of a soul and being able to show it on the outside. Somehow, his pictures showed what people thought about on the inside, what they dreamed about when they were in their beds at night, what their fears were when they thought no one else could see them. He could show vulnerability and shyness, or confidence and hope, or strength and passion. He knew how to bring it out, expose it and most importantly, show it. But Maddie... she was something else, he could see all of it when he looked at her.
From the moment his eyes fell on her photo, he couldn’t look away. He was frozen to the spot, her image capturing him and holding him. Minutes passed as he stared at that photo. Totally lost in it. And it wasn't just Maddie's long gorgeous legs that caught his attention. Or her large, succulent breasts and tight abdomen. It wasn't even her dark eyes, or that smile. It was... it was all of it. She had a quality that Curt couldn't wait to explore and uncover. She was going to be huge, and it was going to be all because of Curt.
And therein lay the problem. Never had Curt been so conflicted over a model before. Curt was renowned for a few things in the industry. The first was his skill set when it came to taking beautiful photos of gorgeous women. No one else had discovered as many models. No one. And therein lay his second skill set. The rate at which he slept with these models and the ease in which he did it was astounding. It was never something that Curt planned on, yet it always happened. The atmosphere was always so intense and hot and primitive that by the time the shoot was over, or the next one, sex seemed the only natural step to take. But that was the problem.
Once Curt slept with a model, he had to stop working with her. There was no way he could work with someone he was sleeping with. He had done it once before, and it was messy. Never again. So, although he was the best there was when it came to discovering models, he very rarely worked with them again once they become famous. With Maddie, it was going to be different.
She was pure and untapped. She had only a handful of followers and was thus a total unknown. But more than being an unknown, she was just so fucking eye-catching. As Curt shifted in his chair, he opened another photo of Maddie, this one of her in a bikini at the beach. And, despite the fact that he had already looked at this picture a dozen times, he couldn’t stop himself from staring at it again. He had no idea what it was that made her so desirable, all he knew was that in a photograph, she had it - and he was going to use it.
With Maddie, Curt was going to build a brand. He was going to branch out from being a simple photographer to becoming a household name. He saw million-dollar contracts, mansions, fast cars and fame. It was all within his grasp, and it was all going to be because of Maddie.
All Curt had to do was not sleep with her. A simple request maybe, but not one that Curt relished putting into action. Even now, as he looked at yet another photo, he was forced to push down his throbbing erection. Maddie was perfect… but she would never be his.
Shaking his head, Curt put his phone away, knowing that no good would come from fantasizing. He was just about to check his watch and curse again when a sudden knock at the door made him stand quickly.
It was go time.
CHAPTER 3
Maddie was feeling nervous as Curt led her through his house. The place was huge, bigger than any house Maddie had ever been in. At the back was a small studio where the shoot was going to take place. As he led her through the house, hand placed on the small of her back, Maddie started to feel nervous. It was her and Curt, alone.
When Curt had first answered the door, Maddie was forced to quickly double take and make sure she wasn't caught staring. It was a task easier said than done too. To stare at Curt seemed as natural as breathing. She had seen photos of him sure, but they hardly did the man justice. In person, Curt had a presence about him that was hard to describe. It was his physical size that first caught Maddie. He towered over her like a Hulk, dominating the doorway. But then he smiled and laughed and she felt herself melt.
"So, I didn't know what make-up I should bring or..." Maddie began as Curt led her into the studio. It was a small and simple set. Literally no more than a white screen, a few lights and a giant fan that she assumed was to blow her hair back. "So I just brought all of it?" She indicated the small bag she had brought, stuffed full of make-up supplies.
"No make-up," Curt confirmed.
"None?" she asked, sure she had misheard. Although Maddie wasn't shy, she still didn’t much like the idea of taking photos with no make-up on. In fact, she was under the impression that this whole ordeal was designed to bring her followers, not scare them away.
"That’s right," Curt affirmed again. "I see something in you, Maddie, something pure and raw. So I want this shoot to reflect that. We're going to strip it down, you included, to its most simple form. We're going to focus on what makes you, you. No make-up. No costumes, or crazy sets or any of that nonsense. Just a camera,” he paused. “Are you going to be okay with that?”
It took Maddie a little time to process this. In theory it sounded good, and if nothing else unique. But in practice, Maddie wasn't so sure. Yet there was a confidence radiating from Curt as he looked down at her. It was intoxicating and soon she found herself nodding along.
"Excellent," Curt strode across the room toward a small side door. "Here's the bathroom. Your outfits are hanging up inside. Why don't you put one on, and we can get started?"
"Which one?"
"Surprise me." He flashed her a wicked smile and Maddie felt her knees buckle. But only for a moment. She quickly pulled herself up and did all she could to look confident as she made her way into the bathroom.
CHAPTER 4
The first outfit that Maddie wore had to be the least sexy thing she had ever worn. It was a pair of grey sweat pants that hung loosely low on her waist, and an old red-flannel shirt that was cropped high and showed off her flat stomach. It hung off of one shoulder, but had basically a loose, ambiguous fit. When she first saw it, she was certain that it was a joke, or a mistake. But sure enough, when she came out in it, Curt smiled his affirmation, taking a long and critical gaze up and down her body. Maddie expected him to tell her to go and change into something sleeker and more sophisticated, but instead he told her to go and sit on a chaise. He proceeded to start snapping photos, barely saying a word to her expect to bark out orders like “tilt your shoulder down” or “rest your chin lightly on your knee and look slightly above the camera lens. Don’t focus your eyes”. When she struggled with “not focusing her eyes”, he snapped at her to th
ink about something else while she posed and not think about the here and now. So she thought about what she’d like to do to him. How if she had the nerve, she’d love to pull him down with her onto the soft animal skin rug she was currently posed on and taste him, run her tongue slowly along the seam of his lips and ask for entrance to his mouth – while trying to unfocus her eyes, of course. She might have thought a few steps beyond that first kiss too, because Curt was loving her body language after that. In fact, his voice became so encouraging, so rough and sexy, that Maddie thought maybe Curt was fighting the same attraction that she was.
The entire shoot lasted for exactly four hours, eight apparel changes, three locations all within Curt’s property, and wasn’t anything like Maddie had been expecting. Well, in truth she hadn't known what to expect. High intensity lights and ridiculous machinations, really. But if pressed, it wouldn't have been anything like this.
First of all, Curt was a complete gentleman. She had been expecting him to at least insinuate that they should have sex, but instead, he kept his distance and made sure to use verbal commands, rather than physical ones. She would pose in whatever position he required, he would take the photos and they would move on.
