Kael's Quest Page 13

She guessed he had had more faith in his powers than she did. His plan had worked, and he had been able to defeat the leader demon. Destroying the rest would be easy, and soon they would be free of the demons.

When she finally managed to get some control over her emotions, she headed to the nearby river. She needed a long bath, to get rid of any trace of demons and the filthy cave.

She stayed in the cold water as long as she could, allowing the water to relax her tensed muscles, cleansing her body as well as her soul.

  Chapter Twenty-four

She was still in the water when Kael returned. Dropping what looked like a sheet on a rock he quickly, got rid of his clothes and joined her in the water.

“How are you feeling now?” he asked, pulling her into his arms.

“Much better,” she assured him, wrapping her arms around his neck. “Is it all over?” she asked, curiously.

“Yes, it is. We destroyed all the demons, including those in the nurseries. I’m sure there were none left behind.”

“Good, that is wonderful news,” she said, resting her forehead on his broad chest.

“We released all the women they had abducted. Some have been through hell, but I’m sure they will be able to move forward and put this terrible experience behind them,” he said, kissing the top of her head.

“Do we know why they kept them alive?” she asked, intrigued. She hadn’t been at the cave long enough to know what purpose she would serve.

“As we suspected, the leader demon used the women to breed his demons. He implanted his eggs inside them, turning them into living incubators,” he explained. “He also used them as sex slaves, for him and his demons,” he added in a low tone.

“How terrible, poor women,” she said, shuddering at how close she had been of becoming one of those women.

“Yes, but your women are very strong. I’m sure they will soon forget this whole thing.”

“I truly hope you’re right,” she said, letting out a heavy sigh. *

“Enough talking, I have more interesting things I would like to do with my tongue,” he whispered in her ear as he carried her out of the water to where he had left his clothes.

Laying her on the soft grass, he dove right into her arms, capturing her lips in a passionate kiss, meant to steal her breath and send her heart at a frantic pace.

Kiss after kiss, he took her arousal to whole new levels, especially when he abandoned her lips and started drawing a trail of fire kisses down her neck, straight to her hard nipples.

His rough tongue did wonders arousing her and sending chills of sheer pleasure through her body. When his big hand cupped her pussy, her hips instinctively rocked up to meet his touch, eager to have him inside her.

But, he wasn’t in a hurry. With slight grazes, he teased her engorged clit, taking her to the edge again and again, until he took his tongue to play along with his fingers. Feeling his rough tongue on her sensitive bud was all it took to send her over the edge, as the waves of the first orgasm washed over her.

He didn’t stop, though. His tongue caressed her clit a many times, combining kisses with licks and sucks, along with some nibbles, making her come repeatedly.

At some point, she felt one of his fingers caressing her back entrance, but though she had never been with a man like that and she perceived Kael’s intentions, she was so deep in the haze of pleasure he had conjured for her, she didn’t mind. She knew she wanted all from him...

Kael relished the sight of his soulmate squirming with pleasure underneath him. Now that he knew who she really was controlling his drogon was no longer possible. He could feel his beast struggling to come out and claim his female, and he guessed it was the moment to let him free.

He could feel his scales coming out, along with his second cock, as his body prepared itself to take his soulmate. Rhiannon was very tight, but he was sure he could take her. He just needed to prepare her, and he did.

Using her own fluids and his own saliva, he worked on her tight entrance, stretching it for him until he was sure she would take him painlessly.

He gently rested his cocks at her entrances and looked at her in the eyes. “Are you ready for me?”

For a moment, she looked a bit confused, as if she couldn’t understand what she was feeling. When she did, she lifted her upper body and looked at her pussy. “Am I seeing right? You have two cocks?” she asked, with awe.

“Yes, the second cock only comes out when part of my drogon form is out,” he explained, with a naughty grin.

She looked at the scales running down his neck, as well as the long claws and her body shuddered with anticipation. She wanted him, in all his forms. They were Kael, her Kael and nothing else mattered.

“Are you ready for me, sweetheart?” he asked, teasing her entrances with his hard cocks.

“I’m always ready for you. You should know that by now,” she said, with a mischievous grin, as she wrapped her legs around him, pulling him closer to her.

Inch by inch, Kael plunged himself inside her, loving how her walls clenched themselves around him, rubbing themselves in each and every ridge of his cocks, multiplying his pleasure a million times.

Thrust after thrust, he dragged her back into the path to paradise, and only a few minutes later, they were both crying out their pleasure, as the wild waves of a powerful orgasm washed over them.

Kael poured all his essence deep inside her, almost fulfilling his need to mark her as his, his face buried in her neck, inhaling her inebriating scent and barely resisting his desire to take her blood.

Though she was his woman, his soulmate, the one he had been looking for, he wasn’t sure she was ready to go through the conversion. Besides, they had their whole lives ahead of them. There was no hurry.

He collapsed next to her and for a few minutes, they just stayed there, in silence, waiting for their raging hearts to go back to a normal pace, their bodies satiated, at least, for now.

“Where are the others?” she asked, remembering her father and the rest of the men that had come to the battle.

“They headed back home. I told your father we would meet them there,” he explained, pulling her closer, making her rest her head on his chest.

“Did you see Esther? Was she alright?” she asked, still a bit jealous of Kael’s interest in the woman.

“Yes, I did see her. She was a bit shaken, but I’m sure she will be fine,” he said, with a pleased smile.

“You seem to care a lot about her,” she said, before she was able to hold back the words.

“I do. My people are self-healing. Our doctors are more like supervisors that monitor our recovery and make sure everything is alright,” he started explaining. “Our blood has proved to be a powerful healer in humans, and when I saw the desperation on Gwendolyn’s face that night, I decided to give Esther some of it, hoping it would heal her. And it did.”

“So, it was your blood that cured her?” she asked, in a low tone.

“Yes. By then, I had saved Joshua from the demons, and I didn’t want the poor boy going through the terrible ordeal of losing his mother that same night,” he added. “My blood runs in her veins and somehow, that makes her family, do you understand?”

“Yes, now I do,” she replied, with a sheepish smile. She had been jealous over nothing.

“I’m very happy we were able to release her and all the women the demons had captured,” he assured her.

“Yes, me too. It’s the end of a long nightmare. I just wished my grandfather was here to see it.”

“I’m sure he is, in some way.”

She kissed his chest. “Yes, you’re right, just like my mother is still with me.”

They stayed there for a few more moments until they decided it was time to go back home.

Kael used the sheet to cover Rhiannon pretty well, making the same harness he had used to transport Martin through the air.

It took them a few hours to get to Gwendolyn’s cabin. The place was empty, but that
wasn’t a surprise because they could hear the celebrations taking place in the village.

“Why don’t you join them at the village? I’m sure they will love to see you,” she said, as they entered the house.

“Won’t you join us?” he asked, with a frown.

“Yes, of course, I will. But I need to get some clothes on first,” she pointed out with a smile.

“I’ll wait for you,” he offered.

“No, there’s no need. I’m sure they are eager to see you, and it will take me some time to be presentable,” she assured him. “I’ll meet you there as soon as possible.”

“Are you sure?” he asked again, not too pleased with the idea of leaving her alone.

“Yes, I am. There’s no danger now, remember?” she said, wrapping her arms around him and kissing him.

He smiled and kissed her back. “Alright then. Just don’t be too long or I’ll come for you.”

“I promise I’ll be as fast as possible,” she said, kissing him again.

He nodded and left the house.

  Chapter Twenty-five

Rhiannon ran to the room she used when she spent the night over at her grandmother’s and once there, she looked for a nice dress for that evening.

She wanted to look her best for Kael.

And it was then, while she was choosing her dress when she realized he didn’t have any other reason to stay in the village. He had the gold he needed for his journey, and he had helped the village to get rid of the demons.

He was now free to go meet his friends. Nothing was holding him back, and that meant this could be their last night together.

The pain that rushed through her whole body was so powerful, it threw her to the floor, gasping for air and rubbing her aching heart. She wasn’t ready to lose him, not yet.

Who was she fooling? She would never be ready to lose him. He was a vital part of her, and his absence would submerge her in a dark, painful world.

She had to find a way to convince him to take her with him.

Determined, she put on the best dress she was able to find and combed her long hair into an elegant braid. Once ready, she headed straight to the village, with a new mission in her mind and heart.

One could hear the music and the people’s laughter from a mile away. The villagers were celebrating the vanquishing of the demons and the return of the abducted women.

By the time Rhiannon arrived at the main square, several tables, and chairs had been brought into the square, and people were having a real feast. She could even smell the scent of roasted pork and freshly baked bread.

She found Kael and her father near the fire where a small pig was being roasted as well as a few chickens and what looked like a couple of lambs.

“That’s a lot of food,” she said, as she approached them.

“The three villages have come together to organize this feast,” her father told her. “It’s the first time this happens,” he was clearly amazed.

“Well, it’s an important occasion, that’s for sure,” she said, with a broad smile.

Kael had slid an arm around her waist the moment she had stepped closer to him, and that simple gesture had been more than enough to warm up her heart.

“Have you seen Esther and the other women?” Kael asked her. “They are over there with your grandmother.

“Not yet, I have just arrived.”

“Despite all the trauma and all they were through, they look alright. The demons kept them well fed,” her father said, looking at where the women were assembled.

“Yes, but that shouldn’t be a surprise. After all, they needed the women to survive,” she pointed out.

“That’s right. You wouldn’t believe the number of small demons we destroyed,” her father explained. “Some of the women are still carrying some of their eggs, but your grandmother will take care of that as soon as possible.”

“Oh, that’s terrible,” she said, wincing.

“Yes, but at least, they are free now. We all are.”

More people arrived at the feast, carrying a lot of food and drinks. The party lasted all night, and when the sun finally came up in the skies, only a few drunk men wandered around the area.

Rhiannon had accompanied Kael back to Gwendolyn’s house. Her grandmother had decided to stay at the village, in her daughter’s house. She had alleged she was too tired to walk back to her cabin, but Rhiannon was sure she had wanted to give her and Kael some privacy.

They certainly enjoyed it. From the moment they stepped inside, until the middle of the afternoon. They had made love for what felt like a dozen times, relishing each other’s bodies as if there was no tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Rhiannon was starting to feel that was exactly what was going on. She knew Kael wanted to leave, and there was nothing else holding him back.

With a sad sigh, she jumped out of bed and walked towards the bathroom. Kael was still asleep, so she had a few minutes for herself.

In front of the counter, she stared at the mirror and wondered how she would convince him to take her with him. Why would he want to drag a woman he barely knew around the world, in his search for his friends? She would only be a hindrance, and she knew it.

She opened the faucet and let the cold water fill her hands before she sprayed it on her face, a few times, in a vain attempt to cool her head.

At some point, she looked at her face in the mirror and noticed a thin thread of blood coming out of her neck, more precisely, from two small openings in her skin.

“What are you doing up so soon?” he asked her, from the doorway, startling her.

“I couldn’t sleep,” she explained, looking at him across the mirror. “Any idea what this is?” she asked him, pointing at the tiny wounds in her skin.

Kael’s expression changed completely, becoming dark.

He closed the distance between them and made her turn around to examine her wounds. “I’m sorry, I did this to you,” he admitted in a stern tone, as he leaned over and licked her skin, healing the wounds instantly.

“Why would you do that?” she asked, more intrigued than upset.

“It’s a common thing in my species. We exchange blood while we’re making love, deepening our bonds with our women,” he explained. “When this happens between two different species, like us, it leads to the conversion.”

  “The conversion? What is that?”

“It’s a painful process that turns females from other species into drogons like me. This can only happen when the couple is formed by soulmates. Otherwise, the non-drogon will die.”

“Oh,” she mumbled, astounded. There was so much, she didn’t know about him.

“I must have taken your blood in the frenzy of our passion. My instinct leads me to it, to the point I did it automatically,” he added.

“How many times can you do this before it becomes dangerous?” she asked, with a frown. She had to admit she didn’t recall the moment either. They had been so lost in the haze of pleasure and bliss, that the whole day was nothing but a blur. All she could remember was the feelings and the pleasure he had conjured for her.

“After the third time, conversion starts,” he replied, with a stern tone.

“Oh, I see. And how do you know for sure when you’ve found your soulmate?” she asked, curiously.

“I was told my whole life I would know the minute I saw her. My instincts would warn me she was the one. That’s how it happened to my father and all the men I know,” he started explaining. “But, things can change, especially because I’m part human.”

Rhiannon’s heart wrenched in her chest, as pain flooded her body. He hadn’t found his soulmate, and that could only mean she wasn’t the one. She took a deep breath before she looked at him, clinging to his last words as if they were a lifesaver. “You’re part human?”

“Yes, my mother was human. She was abducted from this planet, and my father found her when she and a few other women were being auctioned in some sort of slave market.”

; “It must have been terrible for her,” she said, turning around and pretending she was washing her hands.

He stepped closer, pressing his naked body against hers and resting his hands on her hips. “At first, yes, I’m sure it was, but she soon realized he was the one for her.”

She gave him a tremulous smile. “If he’s as handsome as you are, I’m sure she did.”

“We’re more than just good looks,” he protested, squeezing the silky skin on her hips.

  “Of course, you are.”

With a wicked grin, he pressed her back until she was leaning against the counter, as he coaxed her legs apart. She could feel his cocks pressing her slit, and despite all the lovemaking they had indulged during the day, she was more than ready to take him again.

This time, there was no time for foreplay. This time, they gave in to a raw passion that took them faster than ever over the edge and into the wild waves of a powerful orgasm.

In the end, they were nothing more than two trembling bodies, leaning against the counter.

“We need to get something to eat,” she grumbled, sliding from underneath him. “Or I’ll starve to death.”

“I would never allow that to happen,” he assured her, as he joined her in the shower.

  Chapter Twenty-Seven

When Gwendolyn returned to the house, they were in the kitchen having some huge meat sandwiches she had prepared with some of the feast’s leftovers.

“It’s a good thing your father seems to be distracted with Esther and Joshua. Otherwise, I’m sure he would have come looking for you,” she mocked the two lovers.

Rhiannon scowled. “He knows I’m old enough to make my own decisions.”

The older woman nodded and took a seat at the table with them. “Kael, I was told this morning a merchant is coming to our village. He’s heading south so this could be your chance to get a guide.
