Seducing Death Page 27

by Cassandra Lawson

Kyleigh slipped the sports bra over her head and arched her back. Ian was pretty sure she was intentionally putting on a show for him, and he loved every minute of it.

“The pants too,” he said in a rough voice.

“What about your clothes?” she asked with one raised eyebrow as she got to her feet.

“They’ll come off eventually,” he said. “First, I want you to come on my mouth.”

“I can’t do that while you’re naked?” she asked.

“I’m having enough trouble controlling my desire to fuck you so hard you’ll feel it for days. As soon as my clothes come off, I’m going to end up giving in to that desire,” he said, enjoying the way her eyes darkened with passion.

“That doesn’t sound too bad to me,” she said as she shimmied out of her pants.

Ian chuckled and quickly got to his feet. “It’s not an either or situation. I plan on doing both. Now, come here so I can kiss you.”

Kyleigh moved forward, and Ian dropped to his knees in front of her. Before she could react, he leaned forward to nuzzle the soft curls, inhaling her scent. “Open your legs for me,” he ordered, and when she did, he ran his tongue along her cleft. She was already hot and wet. Ian placed one hand on her ass, focusing his attention on her pleasure. He might not be able to express what he felt in words, but he could worship her body.

As he continued to stroke her clit, increasing the pressure and speed, Kyleigh’s hands fisted his hair, and she made soft whimpering sounds that nearly drove him over the edge. Her scent grew stronger, making him groan before sucking her clit into his mouth and allowing his fangs to scrape gently against it.

“Oh!” Kyleigh nearly screeched. Her body tensed, shocked by the sensation, but he soothed her with slow strokes of his tongue. Her nails digging into his shoulders let him know she enjoyed it. When she settled down, he nipped her gently. This time, she moaned and tugged at his hair, pulling him closer.

“Ian, I can’t take anymore,” she pleaded, and he reached one of his hands between her legs, sliding two fingers inside of her as he continued to work her with his tongue. Unintelligible words came from her lips as she rolled her hips against his mouth and clawed at his shoulders. Finally, she screamed, her body contracting around his finger as she came.

“So fucking sexy,” he murmured as he watched her. It was true; with her head thrown back in ecstasy, she looked wild and completely lost in the moment. He wanted to be inside her so badly his balls ached, but he just couldn’t take his eyes off of her. Finally, she relaxed and looked down at him, a pretty blush spreading across her cheeks.

“Do you know what I’m going to do now?” he asked and slid his fingers from her. Then he put them in his mouth to savor her juices, which were sweeter with her release.

  Kyleigh nodded.

“Tell me,” he ordered, because he needed to hear her say the words. He needed to hear her sweet lips utter those words.

“You’re going to have sex with me,” she said.

“Wrong,” he said in a silky voice as he got to his feet. “Sex is much too tame a word for what we’re going to do. I told you what was going to happen. Tell me what I said.”

Kyleigh met his eyes. “You’re going to fuck me so hard I’ll feel it for days.”

Ian stepped in closer, placing a hand on her cheek. “Then I’m going to take you back to my house and do it again.”

Without waiting for a response, Ian lifted Kyleigh into his arms and carried her to a table at the far end of the room. It was covered with papers that had obviously been arranged for the training class in the morning. With one hand, Ian swiped the papers off the table and sat Kyleigh on it.

  She wiggled around. “It’s cold.”

“It won’t be for long,” he assured her and slipped his shirt off before tossing it across the room. Kyleigh was already reaching for his belt. After unbuckling his belt, she yanked at the button and zipper on his pants.

“Careful or I won’t have anything to wear when we’re done,” he said with a grin.

“Good,” she said, and finally managed to get his pants undone. “I prefer you naked anyway.” Then she shoved his pants and boxers down.

“Forget the shoes,” she said when he started to bend down. “I want you in me now.”

“If you insist,” he drawled, stepping between her legs to position the head of his cock at her entrance. He knew she expected him to push into her quick and hard, but he wanted to savor this. For some reason, this felt like a turning point of some sort. Sliding in slowly, he groaned as her tight wet sheath wrapped around him. Then he pulled out nearly all the way before sliding back in again.

Kyleigh’s fingernails dug into his back. “More,” she demanded.

“Don’t worry,” he said as he continued the slow, deep thrusts. “I’ll give you more but not until I’m ready.”

“Please, Ian,” she begged as she rocked her hips against him. “I can’t take much more teasing.”

Still, he refused to give in. His thrusts remained slow as he reached down to play with her clit. Ian knew it was probably still sensitive from her orgasm, so he worked it gently with the pad of his thumb until she was panting and writhing against him. Her muscles gripped his cock so tight he thought he might actually explode, but he refused to let that happen. No, he wanted her to come at least two more times before he found his own release.

Her legs tensed, and her nails on his back dug deeper as he increased the pressure on her clit and picked up the pace of his strokes ever so slightly. It wasn’t long before she was screaming his name while her muscles gripped his cock like a vice.

“Fuck,” Ian cursed as she spasmed around him. “You feel incredible.”

Kyleigh looked even more wild and desperate after her second orgasm, and he knew she was already close to a third, which was good because his self-control was gone.

There were no more teasing words, just pants, grunts and moans. The table pounded against the wall as their bodies slammed into each other. Kyleigh rocked against his cock as he fucked her so hard he was sure she wouldn’t be able to stand afterward. That’s when she tightened around him again, a desperate keening noise coming from the back of her throat. Ian’s cock jerked with his release. Still, he continued to slam into her body as she milked every last drop from him.

There were no words for several moments. Ian stayed inside of her, his forehead resting against Kyleigh’s. “You’re incredible,” he murmured against the top of her head.

“I think your back is bleeding,” she said.

He chuckled. “You tear up my back every time, and I love it. Having you completely lose control is so unbelievably hot. Let’s go home and do this again.”

Ian stepped back to help Kyleigh off the table, satisfied that her legs were shaky. “Having trouble walking?” he asked with a smirk.

  “I’m fine,” she said.

“Then I guess I’ll have to work harder to make sure you can’t walk next time,” Ian drawled.

Her cheeks turned that sexy shade of pink they did when she was aroused. “Promise?”

“Promise,” he said, his cock jerking to attention. It was definitely time to go home so he could enjoy her again.

  Chapter Fifty-One

It had been too much to hope they’d make it home without being interrupted. Ian should have simply hoped to make it home without all hell breaking loose. His phone started buzzing as soon as he exited the training center, and the message meant he wouldn’t be going home any time soon.

“There are representatives from the council at Fangri La here,” Ian said.

  “Is that bad?” Kyleigh asked.

Ian nodded. “Yeah, that’s a fucking mess. If I had to guess, I’d say Roger whined to them about Claire. These people don’t travel, so they must think we’re doing horrible things to her.”

“But Claire’s fine,” Kyleigh said. “You saved her life, and she sees you’re the good guys.”

  “She’s just starting to belie
ve that,” Ian said. “Actually, I’m not sure how convinced she really is. I need you to go over to Si’s and stay with Mitchell. Whatever you do, don’t let him come anywhere near these assholes. We’re doing our best to keep Mitchell’s existence a secret because we don’t want the council taking an interest in him.”

“I’ll take care of him,” Kyleigh said.

Ian nodded before hurrying in the direction of the detention center. He had no idea why Connor had asked him to be part of the group escorting Claire to the meeting with the council. He was probably a bad choice, considering the council knew about his recent anti-human stance. It wasn’t until he saw Mark and Danny heading in the same direction that he understood Connor’s reasoning. Connor wanted to show the shift in the anti-human movement in the settlement, and having him arrive with his human friends would help. Claire was still a wildcard in all of this.

“How bad is this visit?” Danny asked as they entered the detention center.

“Pretty bad,” Ian said. “These assholes don’t come out to settlements unless they’re planning a major change. The fact that it’s only three of them with a small contingency of guards means they aren’t here to take over today, but it’s still bad.”

As usual, Cam sat by Claire’s cell. Connor had given in and brought furniture in for the shifter. Today, he was lounging shirtless on the chair closest to the cell. Claire looked deep in thought.

“We’ve got visitors,” Ian said. “Seems the council from Fangri La sent a group to rescue Claire.”

Cam merely raised an eyebrow, waiting for more of an explanation.

“Why?” Claire asked suspiciously, and Ian smiled at her reaction.

“Someone obviously told them you were here,” Mark said. “Care to guess who?”

Now, Claire looked downright confused. “Something isn’t right with all of this,” she muttered.

“Yeah, we figured that out,” Ian said. “I know you still don’t believe your people were trying to kill you on the way to Treasure Island, but it sure looked that way to us.”

“It’s possible they were,” she admitted.

“They were,” Cam said. “So, what’s the plan?”

Ian shrugged. “I’m just supposed to let Claire know what’s going down and bring her to the meeting room where the council is waiting for us.”

“I’m coming,” Cam said and stood.

“No, you’re not,” Ian said. “This is going to be a mess without adding a shifter to the mix.”

“He’s right,” Claire said, reaching a hand through the bars to stroke Cam’s arm.

Ian had no idea what happened between these two when he wasn’t in the room, but they’d developed a bond that went beyond mutual attraction.

Cam was struggling to get his temper under control. “What if they hurt you?” Cam finally asked.

Claire gave him an incredulous look, and Cam sighed. “Fine, you can take care of yourself in most situations, but I don’t trust those vampires.”

“Good call,” Ian said, “but you still can’t go. You’ll cause more problems if you’re there. We’ve already been accused of using shifters to kill humans. Having you lose your temper over something said to or about Claire is not going to help us prove you aren’t dangerous.”

Cam nodded and stepped back. Not once did he look at Claire as they led her out of the room, and Ian was sure it had to do with Cam’s tenuous control at that moment. With any luck, he wouldn’t follow them.

Mark took his place at Claire’s left and Ian stood at her right. Danny took the lead. The reason was to show humans had a place in the hierarchy. While the vampire council didn’t really care much about human rights, one of Roger’s accusations was that they were trying to kill off the humans in the area. It was a ridiculous charge, since vampires needed human blood to survive, but those who believed Roger didn’t seem to realize that. By proving this accusation from Roger was a lie, they hoped to show how little he could be trusted. At least, that’s what Ian had assumed when he read Connor’s message, telling him that they were to escort Claire in this formation.

They’d selected one of the larger meeting rooms, likely because it was more comfortably furnished. At the head of the table, two lower level council members flanked a high-ranking council member by the name of Eleanor. A contingency of guards stood behind the council members. Off to the side were three vampires in worn clothing who obviously weren’t from Fangri La. Ian recognized one of them right away. That vampire had been involved in the attempt on Claire’s life. If Claire’s sudden tension was any indication, she also recognized that vampire.

Connor, Simon, Shelby, Carla, and Jack were already in the room. All sat at the foot of the table, looking mostly pissed off. Even Jack looked ready to kill someone.

“Claire!” One of the vampires off to the side shouted excitedly, looking torn between the desire to rush toward her and fear of what the other vampires might do.

“Are you well, Claire?” Eleanor asked with just a hint of emotion. She was dressed in head to toe white, a color rarely worn by anyone who actually had to work. Her soft brown hair was pulled back from her face, making her harsh features and the jagged scar on her forehead stand out even more. Eleanor had been around since before the rebellion.

“Yes,” Claire said. “I’ve been provided blood and haven’t been abused.”

“May I speak freely, Eleanor?” Connor asked, sounding almost bored.

Eleanor nodded regally. “You may speak, but the council is not going to tolerate any disrespect at this point. I am not happy about being forced to travel here to deal with this squabble.”

“I understand and apologize for the inconvenience,” Connor said.

Ian was impressed with the sincerity in Connor’s voice. Personally, he didn’t have the patience for council bullshit.

“Our issues with Roger predate the rebellions. His father ran the local vampire reservation,” Connor began.

Eleanor’s face softened. “I understand why this would create animosity between you, but Roger is not responsible for his father’s actions. His people certainly aren’t responsible for them since most weren’t even born at the time.”

“I agree with you regarding his people, but Roger was among the worst abusers of the vampires at the reservation,” Connor argued. “Despite our history, we could have lived peacefully with Roger in this area had he not blatantly declared war and attempted to destroy us more than once.”

“This seems to be a matter of perspective,” Eleanor said. “According to the vampires I’ve met from Roger’s settlement, you are trying to destroy them. They claim you forced them to leave their homes and actively hunt them. They claim you attacked their new settlement and brought creatures that could change into large wildcats with you.”

“We attacked their settlement to free Simon,” Connor argued.

“So, you would agree that they have the right to attack your settlement to free Claire?” Eleanor asked.

Ian saw the trap at the exact same time Connor did. Eleanor had set them up with her line of questioning. The frustration on Connor’s face was obvious.

“That’s an unfair comparison,” Jack said.

Eleanor looked annoyed by Jack’s interruption. “How is that unfair? Are you saying you have more right to act with violence than they do? Is this because they are a different kind of vampire?”

“Nope,” Jack said with a shake of his head. “We attacked the settlement, assuming they were humans who had previously tortured two members of our community, Rand and Raven. Our knowledge of their desire to destroy us came directly from previous members of their settlement,” he motioned toward Danny and Mark. “Those are all good reasons, but the real issue is that we had no grounds to approach the council regarding these problems. What exactly would you have done for us?” Jack asked.

Eleanor didn’t look happy, but she replied honestly. “They were believed to be human at the time and not under the council’s protection. We would have advis
ed you to deal with the matter on your own.”

“Which is exactly what we did,” Jack concluded.

“You’ve made your point,” Eleanor agreed, “but matters have changed. It is completely unacceptable to capture members of that settlement while they are out on patrol.”

“It was the humans at a remote settlement who set the trap I was caught in,” Claire said.

“Yet you were not released,” Eleanor added.

“While I don’t agree with them, the vampires here were convinced I would be killed if I returned to my own settlement,” Claire explained. “They believe there was an attempt on my life a few days ago.”

Ian saw one of the vampires off to the side flinch, which confirmed their suspicions.

“Do you believe your life is in danger?” Eleanor asked, showing more emotion that Ian had ever seen from the woman. She genuinely liked Claire.

Claire hesitated long enough to make it obvious she didn’t know. “No,” she finally said.

“Do you want to return to your settlement?” Eleanor asked. “I have been authorized to offer you sanctuary in Fangri La.”

That shocked the hell out of everyone, including the guards and lesser council members. The vampires from Roger’s settlement looked like they were struggling to hold their tongues, meaning they were not to return without Claire.

“I want to return to my old settlement,” Claire said. “What happened in the woods was a misunderstanding.”

Connor opened his mouth to argue, but Eleanor raised a hand to cut him off. “I have known you many years, Connor. That is the reason I chose to travel here to investigate this situation myself. I can see you are concerned for Claire’s safety.” She then looked at the vampires from Roger’s settlement. “If Claire is not present at the council meeting to discuss the problems between your settlements, we will be forced to take action.”

“We would never hurt Claire!” one of the vampires insisted.

Even the one who’d been with the group trying to kill Claire nodded. “I’d never willingly harm Claire,” he said. The strange thing about his declaration was that he made it to Connor, and Ian had no idea what that was about.
