Tangled Redemption Page 10

by Tina Christopher

He gritted his teeth. She was a sight to behold. Her short blond hair tousled and spiky. Her lips swollen and deep red. And her eyes hazy and unfocused. Delicious and driving him closer and closer to his breaking point.

He pushed a third bead inside her. She hissed and jerked her hips upward. Jayden recovered enough to flatten his palm over her pussy. He dipped his fingers in and out of it, his thumb circling her clit. Jayden’s hand bumped into Miguel’s.

Jayden grinned, but when Miguel threw him one dark look he raised his brows in question. His behavior tempted Miguel to make an example, but he decided to wait for the opportune moment.

Sydney closed her eyes and bowed her back, her feet flat on the bed, pushing back against the anal wand. Her moans grew in volume. Miguel thrust one more bead inside her at the same time as Jayden tweaked her clit between two fingers.

She dug her fingers into the bedding, clinging to the sheets while she widened her legs and welcomed Miguel’s thrust.

He nodded at Jayden and pushed the final and biggest bead inside her.

Jayden leaned down, hooked his fingertip so it stroked her G-spot, and sucked her clit.

Her eyes rolled back in her head and she creamed. She only released a deep groan as if she no longer had the strength to scream.

Miguel continued to thrust, keeping her on the plateau but easing the bite of the arousal. It was nearly as if he could feel what she did. He knew exactly what she needed to keep her body primed for more.

The scent of sex hung heavy in the air. Panting filled the room. He ground his molars, his control all but eroded. With care he removed the wand.

Sydney’s eyes fluttered open. She smiled at him. “That was pretty incredible.”

Something cracked inside him. It was as if her smile, the light in her eyes had broken down a wall deep inside him. He frowned and looked away, pretending that removing the wand took all his concentration. He didn’t like the feeling of vulnerability and struggled to pull back up whatever wall she’d cracked.

  It didn’t work.

For a second he saw a link between them. A connection that shimmered in bright reds, so bright he had to squint. Then it was gone. Neither Sydney nor Jayden responded, so he had to be the only one to see it. He pushed the gnawing in his gut aside and looked at the two of them. “Now the final chapter.”

Jayden’s cock flicked. He’d been half hard, but now rose to his full length. Fire burned in his eyes.

Sydney’s gaze jumped between the two of them. “What is the plan?”

Jayden leaned down and kissed her. “A ménage à trois.”

She swallowed and her breathing sped up. She licked her lips, drawing Miguel. He leaned over her, his hands beside her shoulders and kissed her. Sydney welcomed him, her lips soft and sweet. His cock, denied for so long, rubbed against the soft skin of her stomach, its head covered in pre-come.

He circled her tongue with his, explored the depth of her mouth and intermittently sucked on her lower lip. They quickly found a rhythm and moved their heads back and forth, her hands clinging to his hair, tugging him this way and that.

He growled when Jayden stroked down his back and caressed his ass. Panting he looked down at Sydney. “Do you remember your safe word?”

Her eyes widened, but the color on her cheeks only deepened. “Yes, I do.”

Miguel gave her one brief kiss. “Good.”

  Chapter Seven

Jayden was about to combust. The sparks between the three of them were enough to power a city. Despite his mind-blowing encounter with Sydney his cock was hard again, tapping against his abdomen and desperate for the tight clasp of her cunt.

He petted Miguel’s ass, torn between leaning down and biting that firm delicious flesh and pushing the two of them to move into position. In the end Miguel made the decision when he helped Sydney to sit up. Their gazes met and Jayden quickly sat against the headboard.

“Sit on his lap and take him inside you.”

Miguel’s words were like little slaps of a whip. Jayden’s dick seeped pre-come. He cupped Sydney’s hip and halted her movement. “Are you all right with this?” Jayden had to be sure. She appeared willing, but he wanted her to want this as much as he did. He didn’t care that someone listened to them. This was too important. He’d come up with a clever explanation. He always did.

Sydney smiled and nodded. She cupped Jayden’s face in her hands and kissed him.

His uncertainty vanished into thin air. He pulled her tightly against his chest. His cock rose hard and straight as if knowing what was about to happen.

Sydney held its base and slowly sank down on him. She released him when it became apparent that his cock was not going anywhere.

A deep growl escaped him when the walls of her tight pussy rubbed along every inch of his dick, squeezing him, massaging him. Her nails dug into his chest.

He’d gladly carry her marks for the rest of his life.

That thought froze everything for a second, but then pleasure rolled up from the soles of his feet through every cell in his body. Nothing had ever felt like this.

She began to move up and down on him. He gritted his teeth. She hadn’t taken all of him yet and squeezed the upper half of him incessantly. Jayden met Miguel’s gaze over her shoulder. Fuck, the other man could bring him to his knees with those black eyes alone.

Miguel knelt behind them slathering lube all over his thick member. The member that was about to rub against his own separated only by a thin layer of skin.

Jayden clenched his teeth against the pleasure. The pleasure he experienced right now and that still to come.

Miguel moved closer and cupped her hips with both hands.

Her eyes grew unfocused, her breathing deepened.

He stroked up her side until he cupped her breasts and teased her nipples.

  She moaned.

Jayden circled her clit with a finger.

  She tightened around him.

Miguel licked her neck and made his way to her earlobe.

She trembled and her walls tightened around him.

Jayden’s balls drew up. This would be over quickly. He met Miguel’s gaze and the other man nodded. Jayden cupped her ass and stroked up her back, pulling her against his chest until she lay on him, Miguel’s hands trapped between their bodies.

Miguel settled between Jayden’s legs. One of Miguel’s knees accidentally on purpose rubbed against Jayden’s tight balls, making his hips jerk. Bastard.

Miguel removed his hands, stroking both Sydney’s nipples and Jayden’s chest, before preparing Sydney for the finale.

Sydney dug her nails into Jayden’s shoulders and closed her eyes. Slowly Miguel’s cock pushed inside her. Against his own dick, making her tight little cunt even tighter.

Jayden wasn’t sure how much longer he’d be able to stand it. Every nerve ending across his body stood at attention. He clenched his muscles in an attempt to cling to control.

Finally the bastard was all the way in. Jayden couldn’t breathe. He studied Sydney’s expression. When he found nothing but pleasure and the need for more his balls drew up. “Hurry up, fucker.”

  Miguel growled.

Jayden pulled out and thrust back inside her tight haven as Miguel withdrew. Their hard cocks rubbed against each other, tightening every part of his body. He snarled and clenched his teeth, fighting with everything inside him not to explode.

They quickly found their rhythm. Their strokes grew harder and shorter.

Jayden knew he’d carry Sydney’s nail marks for at least a few hours. The thought drove him higher.

“Oh Jade, oh Jade—oh my goodness…don’t stop. By everything that’s holy don’t stop.”

Jayden snorted and powered back inside. “Sorry, baby…not…fucking chance in hell.”

  “Good.”

He ground his molars, not sure he’d have any teeth left after this. Then she fluttered around him, the beginnings of her climax, and the dam broke. “Miguel!”

&nbs
p; “Now!” the other man barked.

Three more powerful thrusts and the galaxy went supernova. Jayden pumped streams and streams of his come into her, unsure if he’d ever finish. After what felt like an age things slowed down and his surroundings registered again.

Sydney had slumped against his chest, her pussy still massaging his cock. A cock that had barely softened. Sweat glued them together. Miguel groaned and collapsed against her back, flattening her against Jayden’s chest.

Jayden didn’t know if it was minutes or hours before he could move again. He looked up and met Miguel’s gaze. Fuck it. He grabbed the other man’s head and pulled him close for a kiss. It was all tongue and teeth, power and man. Miguel’s taste tore through his senses like the wormhole of a hyperspace window. They pulled apart.

“That was hot.” Sydney’s words stroked over him like a touch. He welcomed her approval. It would have been difficult to fuck Miguel if she didn’t welcome the exchange.

“But why does it feel as if I am looking through Miguel’s eyes, as if it is me kissing Jayden?”

  Jayden’s heart stopped.

Miguel’s eyes widened. He pulled away from them. He still used care, but whatever cracks there had been in the iron wall around him had been sealed up tight again.

Jayden tightened his hold around Sydney, praying he was wrong. Praying he hadn’t lost her before he had a chance to win her.

But the universe had decided to fuck with him. Sydney was the first woman in more decades than he could count who touched him in ways he’d despaired would ever happen.

He studied the beautiful red-colored link. The link that ran between Sydney and Miguel.

The first woman he had wanted for more than a fuck and she was the lifemate of another man. The universe really had a sick sense of humor.

Miguel wanted to roar. The pain ripping through him was unbearable as he slipped into a fresh uniform.

Sydney was his lifemate, the other half of his soul, his one reason for living, his reason to exist. Twelve-hundred-and-ninety-three years he had waited for her, he had wished for her.

And now he could not accept their link, allow their connection to bloom, because it would kill her.

He planned to assassinate a man who appeared to be immortal. There were only so many ways he could try and after everything he’d seen he no longer believed he would survive his attempt. If he died while linked to Sydney as her lifemate he would drag her to hell with him. And that was not an option.

Burning agony shredded his lonely soul. A soul that had nearly given up, had nearly dimmed that last bit of emotion swirling in the deepness of his heart.

He pressed a kiss, so gentle she probably didn’t feel it, on her shoulder. Do not speak any more. The room is under surveillance.

Shock raced through her. What…what is going on? How can you be speaking in my mind? My shields are impenetrable.

Hearing her voice in his mind drove the torture of not having her even deeper. He couldn’t bear being in the same room with her any longer. He had to rebuild his defenses and remember the mission.

But first he would vent some of the rage at the center of his soul. Miguel strode across the room and ripped every single surveillance device out of its hiding place. “From this day forth you will no longer watch our every movement.”

“Watch?” Sydney’s shriek echoed through the room.

He heard Jayden try to calm her but tuned out their exchange. He had been prepared to give Nasir some rope, but enough was enough. He would not allow a bunch of horny perverts to watch his lifemate in her passion.

After ripping out the fifth and final device he turned to the bed. His heart clenched when he saw her huddled under the covers, the flush of her climax gone. Jayden had curled his arm around her shoulder.

He should be in bed with them, celebrating the momentous occasion.

You could leave. The thought flashed through his mind. You could retire from this mission, from any mission, and enjoy a brand-new life with your lifemate. For a second Miguel actually considered it, considered letting go and putting himself first.

But then they came. All their faces, all their voices. Every single person he had not been able to save from their horrific fate at the hands of the Ferals. And then there were his own actions. Everything he had to do to maintain his position.

He was so far beyond redemption they were not even in the same dimension.

  Miguel did not deserve happiness.

He swallowed the pain and the agony seeping out of every pore and shut down, cut through the wavering link that connected him to the most amazing woman in the universe.

He gave Sydney and Jayden a short bow. “I have matters to discuss with Nasir.” His hand clenched around the devices in his hand until they began to crack. “I will see you later.”

Miguel ignored Sydney’s feeble attempts to reconnect and walked out of his room, leaving his heart and his soul behind.

Sydney stared at the closed door. Her brain couldn’t connect all the pieces. Too much had happened. First the unbelievable pleasure and passion she shared with her men. For a few minutes it was as if she was no longer anchored to her body. She switched between hers and Miguel’s as if she could fly. The kiss between him and Jayden had been enough to curl her toes and seriously consider another bout of lovemaking.

And then this inexplicable link to Miguel, a connection that shimmered with hope and possibility. At least until he cut her off.

She wished she had kept her stupid mouth shut. But it had taken her by surprise.

“Well, this is awkward.” Jayden’s words yanked her out of her head and back to the present.

As soon as Miguel had cut her off Jayden had pulled her close, as if he knew what the other man had done. She turned her head and met his hazel eyes. “Do you know what happened?”

For a second she thought she saw bone-deep vulnerability and heart-wrenching pain, but then his hazel eyes sparkled and he smiled at her. In that moment she realized that he used laughter to keep people away. Despite all his smiles and laughter he never gave her the true him. She used sarcasm and he used his smile.

Sydney cupped his cheek. “Please don’t.”

He raised his eyebrows. “Don’t what, darling?”

“Please don’t pretend, don’t shove it under the mat.” Her vision blurred. She clenched her jaw. “I’m in an untenable situation and have no way out. I have no idea what we have here or what we’re doing, but the only way I can go forward is if I can trust you will tell me the truth, no matter how bad.”

He studied her and pulled her tight against his chest. “I’m sorry, love.” His deep voice vibrated through his chest, surrounding her as much as his strong arms.

She wanted to cry and she didn’t understand why. “What happened?”

He kissed her head. “Do Naemas have an origin story?”

Sydney frowned. “What? Yes, we do.” Where the heck was he going with this?

“Bear with me. Vampires believe every one of us has another half. We’re destined to find each other and be together. At the beginning of time we were born and within two or three years our other half would be born. A light would connect us and we grew up knowing who we were meant to be together with. But then something happened. I am uncertain what exactly.” He shrugged. “All this is a myth, so details are scarce. Some say one power-hungry Vampire tried to ignore the light and forced couples to marry based on which connection would help him build his empire. Another story is that a group of Council members forbade certain marriages because it would have resulted in new and different families climbing up the ranks. Whatever it was, it resulted in the light dying.”

He stroked up and down her arm and she cuddled closer. “Babies were born, but their other half was no longer close by. The link had broken. Now we have to search the galaxy and we never know where we could meet that one person that completes us.”

“So you don’t have relationships, but keep on looking for the one?” What ki
nd of life would that be, never being able to settle?

“Some search all their life with no success, some get lucky and find her or him and some settle. They have a family and happiness with a partner they deeply care for, but without the soul connection.”

“How do you know you have found your lifemate?”

He cupped and lifted her chin. “After mind-blowing sex the link springs to life. From what I have been told, it is unstable and wavers in and out. Makes you jump between the two of you. One moment you are you, the next it is as if you are in your lifemate’s head.”

Sydney stared at him. Her jaw dropped. She shook her head. “No, no, no fucking way in hell.” She scrambled out of the bed, away from his warmth and support. “You’re telling me I’m the other half to a blood-hungry, evil Feral Vampire?” She couldn’t stop shaking her head. No way. “I was married to one killer. There’s no way in fucking hell that it is my fate to be linked to a second.”

Something else occurred to her. “And definitely not one asshole jackass who thinks it is all right to fuck me knowing he has an audience.” Rage bubbled up from her core. This was something concrete and tangible she could dig her teeth into. All the other metaphysical stuff was something she needed to process first. “Did you know someone was watching?”

Jayden climbed out of bed too. “I knew someone had been in the room.” He shrugged. “Which meant there was a good chance they were watching.”

She threw her hands up in the air. “And you were all right with that? To have someone watch us while we’re having sex? While we share our bodies for the very first time?” She wanted to drag the last few words back. It had been great sex, but that was it. There was no emotional connection with either of the men. She couldn’t allow herself to grow attached.

  It would kill her.

His smile softened and he walked up to her. There was not the slightest bit of give in him. He was all rock-hard muscle. But despite that he moved with a lightness that always surprised her. It was even more obvious now that he was naked. She’d been so caught up in watching him she didn’t think to evade his touch. He pulled her against him.
