“You and I are not yet done talking, Genine,” Chris said to her, turning to look at Nate. “Well, no matter how much escort we have, we are going to have to be on our toes. I had another idea, how about we send out a dummy Genine while the genuine Genine rides with us in another car, just for safety reasons?”
“I was thinking the same thing, although I don’t think that the chief will be too pleased about that,” Nate said.
“I have a bad feeling about this trip. We are going to let the entourage go ahead without us, we will take the underground tunnel out of here and we can have someone pick us there and take us to the courthouse,” Chris said to them thoughtfully. “I have always learned to trust my instincts, and right here, I think that it is best that we canvass and let them believe that it is you they are taking with them.”
He looked at Genine as she looked back at him. If there was anyone whose instincts she had learned to trust, they were Chris'.
“From my experience with you, I think that it would be best for us to follow your instincts. They have gotten us out of quite a number of tight situations out there,” she said to him as the two of them turned to look at Nate.
“I guess it is a done deal, we will need to play with some of our most trusted men in the team outside and let them leave without us,” Chris sad, walking out of her room to go and make the arrangements, leaving her with Nate.
“He really cares for you, you know, even though he might not say it. I have this feeling that he has always been in love with you,” he said to her. “And if I were you, I wouldn’t wait for him to tell it to me, I would make the first move.”
“Get outta here,” she said to him, grabbing her bag off the bed and dragging it towards the door. “Chris would never have interest in someone like me, and so you had better stop pulling my leg, mister.”
“It is going to be your loss if you don’t make the first move, unless you would like me to make a hit on you instead,” he said, walking into her room and picking her suitcase off the bed as they made their way down the corridor.
“You have got to be one hell of a dreamer, Nate, just because I let you have sex with me the other day does not mean that I now want to spend the rest of my life with you,” she said to him as they made their way down the stairs.
“Are you guys ready, we have got to leave now, the hearing is in a couple of hours and we do not want to be late,” Nate dashed up the stairs, meeting them halfway and taking Genine's bag from her to carry it for her. “There will be someone waiting for us at the other end of the tunnel and so we have to hurry.”
“How long is the tunnel?” Genine asked, feeling a little anxious, although feeling much better since she would be near Chris.
“Three, maybe four miles. That is one of the reasons that I don’t think that it is necessary for us to carry your suitcase along, it could end up dragging us back,” Chris said to her, indicating the suitcase that Nate was carrying.
“What do you mean by that, those clothes mean a lot to me,” she scowled at him.
“We could always send someone back for them. Just as long as your most important documents and things are in the bag, we should be fine,” Chris continued as Genine weighed her options.
“Okay, I guess I don’t really have much of a choice here. Just leave it behind, Nate,” she looked at Nate, who winked at her, reminding her of what they had been talking about.
Genine knew that Nate was right. There was no way that Chris was going to make the first move on her, probably because he was either too shy or too proud. She did not know why, but she felt that Nate was right. Maybe it was due to the imminent danger that they were in that she really needed to tell Chris what she felt, just in case they did not make it out of this alive, and especially her. They went out of the house through the back door and made for the garage. In the garage, Nate locked the door while Chris made his way to what looked like a very camouflaged trap door on the ground. He yanked it open and dropped the bag into it before starting to descend into the tunnel. Genine followed suit, moving down the metal ladder. It took a minute or two for her eyes to get accustomed to the darkness, but as they got to the ground, she could see quite clearly. She moved closer to Chris and pulled him into her arms, holding him there and looking up at his face, although she could not quite make out the expression on his face.
“Chris, there is something that I really need to tell you in case we don’t make it out of this one,” she said to him, putting on a serious voice. “This is probably something that we should have done a long time ago, since I always knew that it was something that you too wanted.”
“Stop talking as if we are going to die, because I'm not going to let anything happen to you, okay Genine,” Chris said to her, but there was no stopping her as Nate stood behind them listening with curiosity.
“Chris, will you just let me finish what I have to say, even if we make it alive out of here,” she said to him, knowing that if she never told him this now, she probably might never. “I'm in love with you, Chris, and just in case we make it out of this, I wouldn’t mind if you proposed to me. I want you to be my husband, Chris. I want you to be the man that rocks my world.”
“Very well done, it was about time,” Nate said, clapping as she threw her hands around Chris's neck, their lips searching for each other as they began to kiss passionately.
She could not believe that she had actually done it, and from the reaction of his body, she already knew the answer to the question in her mind. He finally forced his lips away from hers, holding her face on both sides in his hands as he looked at her.
“Genine Hart, will you be my wife?” he said to her without letting go of her face. “I was always afraid that you might say no and being afraid of rejection, it was never an option to propose to you. Will you marry me?”
She felt tears stinging her eyes, unable to believe that this was happening despite the fact that they did not know what fate held for them before the hearing. She kissed him on the lips one more time, as he wiped the tears off her cheeks.
“Yes, Chris Darling, I will marry you,” she said, feeling like shouting at the top of her lungs although she knew that she couldn’t since she might arouse attention on them.
“Okay love birds, there will be plenty of time for all this if we get out of here safely. Come on, we don’t want to be caught unawares if they realize that we are not in the convoy,” Nate said, bringing Genine and Chris back to reality.
“Nate is right. We will finish this off as soon as the case is over. We are going to get married immediately,” Chris said, taking a hold of her hand as they began running at a slow pace.

“I can't believe that we made it,” Genine said to Chris as she kissed him on the lips, just before they got up to make their way out of the courthouse.
“Yep, I told you that we were going to make it, and that nothing was going to stop us from making it here,” he replied, wondering what it would have been like if they had been in the convoy of the cars that had been blown away.
“I have always trusted your instincts, but most of all, I have always known that you were in love with me,” she said, taking his hand and resting her head on his shoulder as they began making their way out of the building.
“Chris, Genine,” a familiar male voice said, prompting them to stop and turn around. “I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of all of you, Nate included.”
It was the command chief beaming with a wide grin on his face. “Thank you chief.”
“I think that this is all owed to Chris, who devised an escape plan for us. Now your man is locked up for life and I am free. By the way, Chris and I are off to get married right this very minute,” Genine said as the commander’s eyes widened, looking from Genine to Chris and back to Genine as if he could not believe it.
“But you don’t say,” the chief said. “I always thought that you two were meant for each other, it always showed in your eyes even though you were both too rebellious to acce
pt it.”
“I guess that you're right, chief, and that is the reason why we can't postpone our love for one more day. There has been way too much wasted time and this time we want to make sure that we do it right,” Genine said to the chief, turning to look at Chris as she kissed him lightly on the lips. “Well chief, I guess that we will see you after the honeymoon. No assignments until then.”
Before the chief could reply, she hooked her hand into his, turning around and resting her head against his arm as they made their way out of the building. Chris could not believe that he was actually off to do something that he had dreamed of for so many years but had never gotten around to doing. He was going to marry the woman of his life, the love of his life.

“Welcome to your new home, Mrs. Darling,” Chris said to Genine as he opened the main door to his apartment.
“Thank you,” she said, barely able to believe that any of this was actually happening.
As he shut the door, he swept her off the floor and into his arms and carried her into the house. As Genine turned to look up at his face, his lips came crashing down on hers, his tongue pressing into her mouth as he began kissing her passionately. Genine felt her whole body melting, becoming liquid in all the right places. There was an intense need in between her thighs, a need that this time only Chris could fulfill. He carried her up the stairs and they soon walked into a big spacious bedroom with a king sized ben in the center. On one end of the room there was a bathroom, and on the other side, a balcony overlooking the pacific.
Chris placed her onto the bed, making her lie on her back as he began to work her pants open. It was as if he understood what she wanted, and also felt the same way, because right now all that she wanted was to feel him deep inside her, giving her pleasure unlike any that she had ever experienced before. Her whole body was burning with such a need like no other she had ever imagined. She raised her waist as he tugged her pants along with her underwear off, leaving her lower half naked. He then quickly removed his pants, his huge erection coming into view. It was thick and long and she almost couldn’t wait to feel it filling her the way that it had the way that Chris and Nate had both taken care of her lust back at the safe house. The only difference was that this time, she was not having sex out of lust, rather, she was making love to the man that she had always been in love with.
Her heart was beating wildly as he climbed onto the bed, getting on top of her as she parted her thighs wider to accommodate him. He slid in between her thighs, and she groaned as she took a hold of his dick, guiding it into her heated slit as he settled on top of her, driving it in. She felt her whole body trembling with pleasure as his thickness filled in the way that she had always dreamed off. This she knew, was just the beginning of the best half of her life.

Passion in the Prairies
Lucy found herself staring at the gun belt of the outlaw. His gun hung in the holster on his side and she found her eyes fixated on it. It was silver in color and she was not sure whether to be terrified or not. Lucy had taken refuge in an abandoned house along the way when the rain had begun pouring. She had been on her way to the ranch where she lived with her mother and father.
They had been living there for years, ever since her father had retired from the army and used his severance pay to purchase the piece of land. They had moved to Ohio only to find that the land that her father had purchased was not the prize catch that they had thought it was when Brevin Weatherfield purchased it. It had been a struggle trying to get it up and running, and especially since her father was the only one that did all the work, having no money to hire people.
When they had moved to Ohio, it had been her father, Brevin, her mother, Karen, and her brother who was almost ten years younger than her. They did not have any other family in these parts, most her father’s brothers having moved to Texas after the war. Life had been tough for them, but their father’s determination had kept them going.
When Lucy had turned 18, her father had begun putting pressure on her to become friendly with the boys in town whenever they went to the store. He was eager to marry her off, even though she was yet to find the right person for herself.
“You know that your ma has been sickly ever since we moved here, due to the change of the weather, and your brother is way too young to help me around the ranch. If you can get me a nice young man to help around, it would be the best thing,” her dad said to her one day at the dinner table.
“I will dad, every time that I'm at the dry food store in town,” she had said to him.
Lucy was yet to find the perfect man to be her suitor. Her dad had suggested that she try and befriend the boy whose dad owned a huge parcel of land in the area, but Lucy found him to be a very repulsive fellow. Whenever she went into town, he leered at her rudely, and then there was the fact that he smelled of sweat. She did, however, have these funny dreams every night, where she was with two men, and they always left her with that funny feeling in between her thighs. The only man that she could say actually took notice of her was the sheriff’s son, Eugene Keller. He always greeted her whenever she was in town, and he also smelled very good.
He had come back from pursuing a degree but he was not the sort of guy that she could tell her dad about, since he called him a learned dreamer that was no rancher. Lucy did find him sort of attractive in a strange way that she did not understand. There were also a couple of guys that had also shown some interest in her, but she was not into them. One had even offered to buy her some candy at one time in town, but she had politely turned him down, and she had never saw him again. Lucy remembered one day when she brought up Eugene's name at the dinner table.
“That son of a bitch never does anything constructive with his life. The only thing that he knows to do is to spend time talking to his friends about his dreams,” her father had not even let her complete her sentence.
That had been the last time that she had ever thought of mentioning the name again, even though she felt this mild attraction towards him. All of the men that her father recommended to her just did not fit her bill, and she wondered if his dream of marrying her would ever come true.

“Ethan Blake is said to be missing and we do not know if he will be coming to these parts. He is wanted in more than five states,” the sheriff was telling a group of people that had gathered outside his office, which was right next to the dry food store from which she had just come. “And that means that we are all going to have to be very vigilant.”
“If he was riding in this direction, then I'm sure that someone would already have spotted him,” one of the men in the crowd.
“Yeah, and I think that he might have preferred to go into hiding in Texas since out there he has more hiding options,” another man shouted.
“What else did the letter say?” the first man asked.
“Well, that he might be travelling with the Branson twins,” the sheriff continued.
Lucy stood by the store listening as they talked about the most wanted outlaw out in the west, and it was then that she realized that she was so far away from home, and yet she was alone. Her father would never have let her go out for the weekly shopping to the store, but today he had been too busy, while her mother had been sickly. Brevin had reluctantly let her take the journey alone, although she knew that it was something that she could do perfectly well since she knew how to take care of herself. Right now though, hearing about the outlaw on the loose, she was not so sure about that anymore.
Lucy gathered up her shopping and began hurrying towards her buggy. She needed to get home before dusk, and besides, in the prairies you never knew when a storm could appear. As she rounded a corner, she went crashing head on into Eugene, who seemed to be coming in the direction where she was coming from.
“I'm really sorry, are you hurt?” he said, helping her to pick up her things fro
m the ground.
“No, I think that I'm the one that was not looking where I was going,” she said taking the things from him, and as she put them onto the wagon, she felt his body pressing into hers from behind. “Ethan Blake might be coming to town, and I was hoping to get home by that time.”
“Is that what the meeting is about?” he did make an attempt to move away from her and it was not hard to notice the heat that quickly spread through her body like quick fire. “I think that all the men in this town are pussies.”
“Why would you say that?” she tried to think straight, wondering why Eugene was so different from the other men in the town.
“They are all scared of Ethan Blake and yet he is just a man like them, even though none of them can admit it,” he said, not sure about the heat that was quickly spreading through her thighs the way that it did every morning after she had been dreaming of the two men. “You know what I think about him, he is a real man because he gets what he wants, whether it is money, jewelry and even women.”
He stressed the word women, pressing himself harder into her back, and she was shocked to feel something hard in his crotch pressing against her back. He smelled fresh, almost as if he had just taken a bath, and she could not understand why that also had such an effect on her.
“I'm sure that you like real men, want real men, just the way that you want me right now, isn't that right?” he said into her ear, his hot breath making her body feel hot all over in arousing ways. “I'm sure that right now you are wondering what it would be like to have someone like me deep inside your virgin walls giving you the sort of pleasure that nobody else ever has.”
And how right he was, because right now she wanted him to do just that more than ever. She looked around to see if there was anyone watching them, and as she put the last of her things onto the wagon, she pushed him back and slapped him as hard as she could across his face. She then hastily climbed onto the wagon and took the reins of the horse. He looked at her with astonishment as she rode off.
