“You killed my father, prepare to die,” she said defiantly as she raised her bone sword and struck his soft chest. Blood oozed out around the blade, and as she withdrew her weapon the crimson blood spurted out and covered her. The chest stopped moving and the beast laid there, its soulless eyes staring into nothingness.
In the afternoon sun Beki put on her clothes and sheathed her sword by her waist. She found some vines and tied the Pterodactyl’s body together, then began dragging it down the mountain. The path wasn’t as dangerous as she first suspected, and eventually she managed to find her way back to camp, though it took her a few days and nights. When she arrived everyone hushed. She looked like a wild thing, dirty and covered with blood. She dragged the dinosaur’s body into the middle of the camp and looked defiantly at everyone. She enjoyed the dumbfounded look on Leco and the others’ faces.
“I am Beki and I am here to claim my birthright. I have brought my father’s murdered to justice, and if anyone disputes my claim there are welcome to challenge me.” As she said this she drew her blood-stained bone sword and pointed it at Leco.
No-one dared challenge her.
