“I will. Would like something to eat first. Feels like I haven’t eaten in days.”
Natalie immediately got up and went to the pantry.
“That’s because you haven’t,” Tommy said.
Frank looked at Tommy then at Steve, confused.
“What do you mean?”
“You nearly died, Frank. You’re fever spiked and we haven’t been able to wake you for about three days. I thought that you might have had brain damage,” Steve explained.
“Yeah. We had to dunk you in a tub of cold water a couple times to get your fever down,” Tommy said.
“Sorry guys,” Frank said.
“Nothing to be sorry over. It wasn’t your fault you got sick. Hell, you even did what I told you to do for once and it still got that bad,” Steve said.
Frank chuckled.
And just like that, the arguing stopped. Their group was whole again, their leader returned.
“So. What else have I missed,” Frank asked.
