When I opened my eyes again, he was still holding me, but this time his eyes were the most brilliant red. He was back. I’d saved him. The light cast the water’s surface onto his face, the shadows rolling over his beautiful skin like flickers of ghosts.
“What do you say we wash off in these waters and get back to the castle?” he said. “But not before I claim you a few more times.”
“That sounds perfect to me. It’s about time you got home.”
He kept tight hold of me as he slowly walked into the warm waters. We floated together in the serene pool, lost in the moment lingering between us.
I’d finally taken all of the brothers. They were safe from the spell. Their minds were saved.
They had me now, and I had them.
For all of forever.
Epilogue
“God damn,” Victor said reluctantly, his hands refusing to let me go. “I really don’t want to wait a whole night before I can fuck you again.”
I kissed the brute and pushed him away playfully. “As if you ever pay attention to the schedule anyway. You know I’m going out hunting later. It’s hardly a surprise now when you sneak up on me in the woods and fuck me.”
A month had passed since we’d saved Shadow from the Morrow coven and finally united our family. During that time, we’d come up with a little makeshift schedule to ensure everyone got their fair share of attention, but the vampires all wanted so much of me it rarely played out that way. Monday night I spent with Ronan, Tuesday with Xander, Wednesday with Victor—he’d been rather insistent on having ‘hump day’—Thursday with Shadow and Friday with all the boys. Weekends were a free for all.
I’d found a role for myself too since coming back to the castle. Now I had a bow and arrow again I could make myself useful and hunted game for the vampires to feed on. The blood had to come from somewhere. I went out hunting a few hours each day and caught enough now that the boys didn’t have to worry about blood at all. There was always usually a guest, usually Victor, to distract me from my hunting and bend me over a rock.
I wasn’t complaining.
I also got to finally know Shadow a lot better. Since I had saved him, he had changed drastically, reclaiming his former humanity along with the rest of his brothers. Each of them had something unique to offer, which always kept things interesting. Ronan used his control to turn me into a trembling slave. Xander had his toys and dark side, which always left me whimpering and satisfied. Victor had a way of making anything fun. It was good fun breaking his balls too.
Shadow, as I soon learned, had the ability to amaze me in ways I couldn’t even have anticipated. The psychic connection we shared was stronger than the other dragons because of his greater magic. All we needed was a bed and a room. He could take me anywhere I wanted to go in my mind, and the visions felt more real than reality.
I was there with him, making love on a golden island beach beneath a pink sunset, his cock owning my pussy as a knocking sound disturbed our pleasure.
“In a minute!” he roared, the sound fading away as we finished climaxing together. When we were done, he collapsed into the sand beside me, his breath panting. “Where to next?” he said. “Outer space? You be the astronaut and I be the horny alien.” He blinked and the vision appeared. He looked exactly the same, but his skin was a light shade of green. The golden sunset was gone, and we were in a spaceship of many flashing lights.
“I don’t know,” I said and kissed him. “Didn’t we do that one the other day?”
“How about the slave and the gladiator?”
In another instant we found ourselves in a colosseum of jeering spectators. I was tied to a long pole sticking out of the sand and Shadow was dressed like a gladiator. He had a paddle in his hands.
“I do like the sound of that one, but maybe we should get the door. No one really interrupts unless it’s important.”
“I guess you’re right,” he sighed reluctantly. The visions broke away and we were back in his bedroom. I brushed my hand down his abs and kissed him.
“Definitely more sex though,” I said. His eyes lit up.
“But of course.”
Xander was at the door.
“Please tell me you’ve come to two-time Lily with me,” Shadow said with a groan.
“I wish,” he said. I perked up at the idea. I hadn’t been alone with Shadow and Xander yet. That could be fun. “I’ve actually got a message for Lily. You have a visitor.”
“A visitor? What? Who?”
“Neave. She said she’s got a gift for you; you better get dressed. She’s literally never visited us here.”
We dressed quickly and followed Xander through the castle to find Neave waiting for us in the great hall. There was still some scaffolding up since the fight that had taken place here, but things were looking much better. We’d all visited Neave every day since the Morrow coven attacked her, but there had been no sign of the witch.
Apart from a few grazes on her face she looked good as new.
“Ah, Lily, just the queen I wanted to see,” she said, a warm smile illuminating her sing-song voice.
“What’s going on here?” Ronan and Victor said as they entered the room. It looked like everyone had gathered to greet us here. Even Freya was hovering over the fireplace.
“I was a fool to expect I might have a private moment with your lioness,” Neave said, half-annoyed and half-amused. “But I suppose this occasion calls for you all to hear the news. It does concern you after all.”
The boys all looked confused, which was always cute. “What are you talking about, Neave?” I asked. “Is this to do with the draconic magic?”
“Yes and no,” she said with a cryptic smile. “I have a gift for you. It will help in the mornings when it feels like the world is turning.” Neave handed a small piece of wrapped parchment to me. Inside there was a spiky pink flower with a crown of sharp green leaves. I held it up so everyone could see.
“I’m not sure I follow,” I said.
“Oh my god,” Xander said. We all looked over to see his hand over his mouth. He looked at Neave. “Are you kidding me?!”
She smiled softly. “I saw a vision this morning.”
“Spit it out plant geek!” Victor shouted at Xander. “What are we looking at here?!”
Xander was no use though, he simply sank back into a chair, his skin much paler than usual.
“Yeah, you might have to spell this out for us,” I said to Neave. “What is this plant?”
“It’s Milk Thistle, Lily. It helps with morning sickness. You are pregnant.”
The world shattered around me. Looking around I saw the boys were in a similar state of shock. For a few seconds there was nothing but silence, and then the room exploded with sound. Victor and Shadow were jumping up and down, hugging and screaming while Ronan picked me up and twirled around. Xander just had his head in his hands, laughing and shaking his head as he stared at us all.
Freya was literally flying in loops.
It took a while to settle everything down. My heart was beating a million miles an hour all the while. When Neave was finally able to get our attention again, I was shaking with excitement.
“Congratulations to you all,” she said warmly. “I know I don’t visit much, but I’m going to be around a lot more now, just to make sure everything goes okay.”
“Who’s the father?” Shadow asked.
“Me. It’s got to be me,” Victor said. “My swimmers are definitely the strongest.”
“Mine are obviously the fastest,” Xander said.
“Um, hello?” Ronan interjected. “I’m the leader. It’s obviously me.”
Neave looked at all of us before answering. “I do know the answer to that, if you want to know.”
Wow. Talk about an unusual situation.
“I don’t know, maybe it’s better off not knowing. I want you all to think of yourselves as the father.”
“Of course, we will,” Ronan said. “No matter who’s it is.”
“One hundred percent,” Shadow agreed.
“Even if it’s Victor’s,” Xander said.
“Which it obviously will be, but if it’s not I’m always here for you,” Victor said.
Neave took a very deep breath. “Well, here’s the thing. There isn’t just one in there. There’s four… and you’re all the father.”
I simply broke out into laughter as the news floored the boys. You could have heard a pin drop on the other side of the castle. The silence shattered as they started hollering once more. In turn each one of them grabbed me, kissed me, told me they loved me and generally ran around like enthused lunatics.
Four. I didn’t even know where to begin with that. All I knew is that I was ecstatic.
“We better get started on the nurseries straight away!” Shadow said. “Lily, I can come up with some ideas and show you them with my magic.”
“I am a great painter for what it’s worth,” Xander said. “I’ll be doing the decorating.”
“Those girly little hands can’t do the woodwork,” Victor said. “I’ll have to take care of that.”
“Woodwork?” Xander said. “What are you building?” Everyone laughed.
“Uh cribs, furniture, feeding chairs, I’m taking care of it all myself you dingus. None of this store-bought crap for our little ones, only the best!”
“Good thing I’m here to make sure this all actually gets done,” Ronan said with a smile. “It would just be chaos without me taking charge.”
The playful bickering faded out of my ears as I watched them all, a huge smile across my face as I saw my future unfolding before my eyes. I could never have imagined an ending like this when the boys hunted me down in the forest all that time ago.
Now I was staring at four beautiful men, whom I loved with all my heart. They were always going to be there for me, and I would always be there for them too.
We were freaks, savages, unlike any other family I’d ever met.
I didn’t care.
I wouldn’t change it for the world.
