Rescue Me! Page 14

Piper cocked open one eyelid and looked down at the man mountain that was on his hands and knees, looking decidedly hungry, and climbing up over her body.

Every feminine instinct within her sprung to the forefront, and she could have patted herself on the back for her choices when the sight of his long, thick cock that was waving hello at her as it swung freely came into view. She snapped her other eyelid open and grumbled something that sounded decidedly dirty in the back of her throat.

Den responded in kind. The sound of a hungry grow; rolled through that hard, muscled chest and she reached out to touch it, and got another blast of excitement explode within her.

“I might have got a little carried away,” Den grinned, looking so damn wolfish that she did a double take.

He looked like sex on a stick, and she was hungry for more.

“I hope you show that level of dedication when you’re inside me,” she offered back, even more emboldened than she was before.

“Give the lady the moon and she wants the stars as well,” he teased her, but as he settled down between her open thighs, the press of his hard cock said he wasn’t teasing her anymore.

“Ooh, I want it all, every last inch,” Piper’s voice sounded throaty and as sexy as hell, and his cock twitched as it pressed inside of her.

Piper returned the sentiment, squeezing her inner muscles around him and getting a damn sexy growl in return. She wasn’t lying, she wanted everything that he had to offer and more.

“Greedy little witch,” he teased, pushing in to the hilt and stretching her around his thick length.

“Your – greedy little witch, my alpha,” she grinned, and he didn’t think he’d ever seen anything that wickedly sinful in his life before.

He wanted to devour every inch of her and then do it all over again and again until neither of them could see straight. He moved his hips and growled in pleasure as she squeezed around his cock trying to keep him in place.

That wasn’t happening. They both needed more, and he would lose his damn mind if he didn’t get it.

A slow rhythm turned faster before there was an urgency that had his hips pounding against hers. Den knew that she was close and collected her up from the bed, locking her within the safety of his arms as his fangs elongated and she reached for those damn stars.

The moment that she touched them; his razor-sharp fangs cut into her skin. Her blood spilled over his tongue as he marked her as his, and his beast roared at the connection between them.

The bond was almost complete. He cleaned and sealed his mark into her shoulder as she came back to him, but he couldn’t stop that desperate pounding of his hips against hers, of skin slapping skin, as he searched for his own release and completed the bond between them.

Piper held onto his shoulders as she sat astride him and held on for the ride. There was no way in hell that she was going to keep up with his rhythm, and she didn’t want to.

She was just about losing her mind as he thrust her body back towards the edge of the abyss once more, and the moment that he took her over the edge – he joined her with the kind of howl that rattled the whole damn house as he gave her every drop of his seed in what felt like unending pleasure.

“What the…?” Lulu was dazed and confused, but there was no mistaking the fact that they were in the middle of a mini earthquake as the kitchen shook around them.

The sound of a howl echoed through the room, and she pulled back from her mate’s hungry kisses and stared at him for a long moment.

“Well, it wasn’t me,” he chuckled.

  “Premature…?”

“Hell no!” he grumbled a growl, and got a wicked grin in return.

“Just checking,” she teased with a small shrug.

“I forgot we were in the damn kitchen,” Carson growled, looking around them.

“Kitchen?” Lulu looked slightly bemused. “Not the best place to…” she left it hanging, and he almost drooled down his own chin at the thought.

“I think I know, but maybe you want to fill in the blank…” he grunted and then growled as she tightened her legs around his hips and rubbed her sex against his cock.

They might still have had clothes on, but that was still damn potent in his book.

“Need me to draw you an X-rated picture?” she teased him with her words, her eyes, and her wicked grin.

“Hell no,” he growled, snatching her up from the counter top and spinning them towards the door to the sound of a very dirty and equally wicked little chuckle that came from his mate and sent his pulse racing even faster.

“What was that?” Karen demanded as she pushed up to her feet at the sound of the howl that shook the room.

“The wolves are attacking,” Slade lied, and she snapped a panicked look at the door.

  “Really?”

“No,” Slade said, and she turned a hard glare of disbelief on the man.

  “Huh?”

“But now when I tell you that the alpha just mated with Piper you won’t feel so scared,” he offered, snapping on a cocky grin, and getting a grumble of curse words back from her in return.

  CHAPTER THIRTY TWO

“What the hell is wrong with you?” Darlene bit out as she dragged her body up from the ground and turned her dark glare on Nick’s wolf.

The beast sounded a hell of a lot like a confused Scooby Doo as it stared back at her from across the clearing.

“Spinning me around like that – I’m not a toy, I got a damn head rush of the worst bloody kind and you…” she lifted her index finger and wagged it at him.

The beast pulled its head back on its neck, and had no qualms in letting Nick shift back into his human form and take her wrath.

“You …” she said, eyeing the naked beta as he stalked towards her.

Darlene had most definitely lost her chain of thought. The man was big … everywhere, and boy, did he look good.

“How am I supposed to think when you’re … you?” she bit out, annoyed that she couldn’t berate him some more.

Nick couldn’t help the cocky grin that spread over his face. His mate liked what she saw, and he was damn happy with that.

He almost didn’t slow down when he reached her, but he reached out and spun her up into his arms, and kept walking.

“Hold on there, furball,” she bit out.

  “I’m done talking,” he growled.

  “Done talking, are you?”

“Yep,” he growled out, and she felt the excitement pinging off her womb like it was a celebration inside her body.

  “And what if I’m not?”

“You go right ahead while I love you good.”

“Presumptuous much?” She bit out on a snort of disbelief.

“Yep.” He kept walking. He could see the cabin and he wasn’t stopping for anything until he got there.

When they reached the door, he booted it open, and kicked it closed behind him.

“Tell me I’m wrong,” Nick growled in the semi-darkness of the room, and for one long moment the silence was deafening.

“For once – you’re right,” Darlene said.

She hadn’t wanted a mate. She hadn’t wanted Nick – not until she thought she was about to lose him.

It was crazy what a little near death experience could do to clarify what was important in life.

He was important. The chance of her happily ever after being torn away from her was important.

She wanted a home and a family.

Her friends were there, she’d heard the howl of a wolf and she knew that one of them had already mated. She wanted that.

A life, a forever love with Nick. Big, mean, growly Nick.

  Her mate. Her man.

  No, he wasn’t wrong.

“So, how was it?” Lulu asked as she sat down on one of the garden loungers beside Karen and eyed the woman with glee.

“W-hat?” Karen scowled back at her, but a moment under Lulu’s intense glare and she looked away.

“You know what,” Lulu teased as she turned back to find her tapping her incisors. Karen gasped.

  “Stop that!” She hissed.

“Oh, come on!” Lulu groaned. “I’ve waited nearly two weeks for you to dip your toe in the water, and now that you have – I want details!”

“Bite m…” she stopped with her lips pursed and chewed on that thought.

“Said Karen to the vampire…” Lulu giggled.

  “Stop it!” Karen hissed back.

“Then spill,” Lulu demanded. “Was it what I said it was when you were being freaky human girl?”

“It…” she huffed. Then she rolled her eyes towards the bright blue sky, and then she caved with the kind of wicked smile that told Lulu all she needed to know.

“That damn good, ha?” Lulu chuckled. “You can thank me later.”

“So, what do you think?” Darlene said from the steps of the back porch and they turned to see her modelling another wedding dress.

“I think you’re a day late and a dollar short,” Lulu called back.

  “It’s beautiful,” Karen said.

“I think my bride will be happy,” Darlene said, twisting and turning to make sure that the small pearl beads that she’d hand-stitched onto the fabric picked up the light.

“I still think there’s something a little off about a witch making wedding dresses,” Lulu mulled that one over.

“Each stitch has love sewn into it,” Darlene snapped back. “None of my brides has ever gotten divorced.”

“Maybe you could make my dress,” Karen said, flapping her hand in front of her face as she tried to quash her excitement.

Lulu and Darlene both raised their eyebrows at her, questioning her sanity.

  “Huh?” Lulu asked.

“Slade asked me to marry him last … well, about four AM actually,” Karen said, grinning from ear to ear.

“He what?” Piper said, coming from the house carrying a tray of ice cold beers.

“He’s off getting my engagement ring. It’s very old, apparently…”

“But then so is the groom,” Lulu chuckled.

“A wedding? Congratulations,” Piper said. “See, now if you were a witch that would only be a handfasting, so aren’t you glad you’re human?”

“I’d still like some magic,” Karen shrugged.

“Well, now that we’re family, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to teach you a spell or two,” Lulu said and Karen scowled at her.

  “Huh?”

“Sweety, there’s a little witch in all of us. You just need to say hello to her.” Piper said.

“Now you tell me!” Karen exclaimed.

“Fright club, first rule of fright club…” Lulu shrugged.

  The End.
