Teddy laughs. "Okay... Wow! Enough said. I like you Mye Queen. I like you a lot. You're honest and straight forward in a no bullshit type of in your face way."
"Look Bear, I'm not going to dog Paul. I can't say that we'll be together forever. Who knows what will happen when he gets drafted and I go to Medical School. But until then we're going to enjoy each other and have a good time."
"Alright. Fair enough. But, I just want you to know that if I had my shit together I'd give him hell over you."
Queen smiled, "I know you would."
Teddy excuses himself. "I'd better get back they're probably looking for me."
"Who? Where's Paul?"
"I'm not sure. I'll see you in a few."
Shortly after Teddy leaves the table, Lisa arrives with a platter of assorted appetizers. "Here you go. Paul told me to bring these out for you."
"Where is he?"
"Don't worry. He'll be out in a second."
Queen did a visual scan of the crowded restaurant but neither Paul nor Teddy were nowhere to be found. Just as she was about to give up the search the spotlight on the big stage came on and Lonnie appeared with a microphone in her hand.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen welcome to Motown Night at the Songbird Bar and Grill. My name is Lonnie and I'll be your guide on a trip back in time to Hitsville USA. Coming up first is the Songbird's very own sexy, tantalizing, talented Temptations. Give a big Songbird welcome to Paul, Teddy, Mike and Dorian."
Queen's jaw dropped as the stage lights came up to reveal Teddy and Paul singing with two other guys. "Oh my God," Queen mumbled as she watched Paul and Teddy share the lead singing the Temptations, "You're My Everything."
As incredible as Paul's rendition of Eddie Kendricks was Teddy's voice floored Queen. Deep, sultry and oh so sexy he crooned like a young David Ruffin. His performance and stage presence was magic and Queen was mesmerized by him. She watched spellbound as the women in the audience went ape crazy over the group. It wasn't hard to see that they both were singing to her. Bad boy, womanizer or not it was apparent that Teddy had a major thing for her. A thing that she hoped that they could somehow bury real deep. Unfortunately, she couldn't think about anything but him burying it deep between her thighs.
Just before their performance ended Jade joined her at the table. "Queen, you might want to close your mouth you're starting to droll."
"When did you get here? I thought you had a date?"
"I do and there he is, on stage with your men."
"Don't start that bullshit Jade."
"No, don't you start that bullshit. I know you, Queen. You always want to ice skate up the fuckin hill. Don't fuck with Teddy. Leave him alone. I know he's your type, but Teddy is a nigga to the infinite power."
"I've already come to that conclusion and squashed all hopes of him riding me like Sea Biscuit. How can somebody who is so damn sexy be such a damn Neanderthal?"
"I don't know. Just make sure he doesn't club you in the head and drag you away from Paul. Because, that one right there is the shooting star that you need to make a wish on. If they weren't so close I'd say fuck Teddy and get it over with, but that's not an option. So leave him alone." Jade warns.
"Damn, can't I look? That's all I'm doing. It's a show, isn't it?"
"Then look at Paul and stop drooling over Teddy. He put all of this together just for you."
"Jade, I really like Paul. Hell, I like him a lot. Teddy's just my hormones talking. It'll pass once I get rid of some of these koochie cobwebs."
"Well you won't get rid of them tonight. So you'd better find another way to deal with it."
"Yes, mother." Queen concedes as the Temptations take a bow.
As the magnificent Temps leave the stage Lonnie introduces the Supremes. Shortly afterward the guys join Jade and Queen at the table.
Paul kisses Queen on the lips and asks, "Did you like your surprise?"
"I loved it," Queen smiled. "It was amazing. Wow, you're cute and talented. What's a girl to do?" she asked as she kissed him back. Teddy, where'd you get that huge voice? You can sang."
"Thanks. That's my backup plan. If it doesn't work out in the NFL draft then I'll pursue my music career."
"So I guess you're a music major?"
"Classically trained to play piano, guitar and the bass."
"This man's a beast on the bass and the guitar." Paul added as he tasted a hot wing from the appetizer sampler. "These are good."
Jade interrupts, "Queen this is my friend Dorian. Dorian this is Mye Queen. The one I'm always talking about."
"Oh yeah, your girl from Maryland. It's good to finally put a face to the name. Jade talks about you nonstop."
Dorian, who was not nearly as tall as the twin towers- Paul and Teddy, stood about six feet even. An easy confidence and a brilliant smile illuminated his handsome face and made it easy for Queen to see Jade's attraction to him. Although gorgeous in his own right Dorian doted on Jade. Infatuated by her beauty, he studied her every move and catered to her every whim. They were a cute couple and obviously falling in love.
While Queen watched her best friend display a tenderness that she didn't know existed, Lonnie returned to the stage. "Okay we have a few Virgin Songbirds in the house and as is our tradition we're going to give them a chance to spread their wings and sing for us tonight.
"Oh shit! This is going to be good." Teddy laughed though Paul didn't find it amusing.
"Queen I'm sorry," Paul apologized.
"About what?" Queen asked confused.
Jade shook her head in disbelief. "You told her Queen was a virgin, didn't you?"
"I didn't mean to. It just slipped out." Paul said in his defense." She probably won't even call Queen."
"Call me for what?"
"To sing Queen. Weren't you listening?" Jade asked.
"Oh hell no!"
"Oh Lonnie is going to call her out. And you know exactly why. Can you sing?" Teddy asked.
"Oh my God! She's going to call me up there to sing?"
"This is going to be embarrassing." Teddy declared.
"No it's not." Jade replied.
"Queen I am so sorry. Lonnie's and old ..." Paul said as he tried to explain.
Queen quickly interrupts him. "Yeah, I get it. Lonnie's and old girlfriend who's hating on the new girlfriend. I can't believe this bitch is going to try to embarrass me."
"Believe it!" Teddy laughed. "Cause Lonnie is a big enough bitch to do it."
"Don't worry Queen. It'll be okay." Jade encouraged.
As expected Lonnie calls Queen up to the stage. "Our first Virgin Songbird is Mye Queen. Queen will you come to the stage. Ladies and Gentlemen give her some encouragement as she makes her way to the stage." The crowd begins to applaud.
By this time Queen is pissed even though she has too much class to show it. She rises gracefully, smiles and heads for the stairway to the stage. Paul holds her hand tight as he walks with her to the stage. He apologizes the whole way.
Teddy turns to Jade, "Please tell me that she can at least carry a tune."
"I guess you'll see in a minute." Jade replied as she applauded Queen on. "Sing your song Queen!"
As Queen joins Lonnie at center stage she is given a menu to select a song. Queen scanned the menu and quickly made a selection. Lonnie was shocked when she saw Queen's selection. "Ladies and Gentlemen our Songbird is ready to spread her wings and fly or die. I present to you the beautiful Miss Aretha Franklin.
From the very first note it was apparent that Queen had absolutely nothing to fear. Her beautiful, melodious voice permeated the quite restaurant as she sang, You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman. She smiled as the gotcha smirk left Lonnie's face. As her confidence grew she left the stage and made her way to their table to sing to Paul. Teddy hung on her every note. Temporarily insane she made the mistake of sitting in his lap to sing to him. His manhood instantly began to swell. Startled, Queen nonchalantly got up and returned to the stage to finish the song.

p; The restaurant burst into applauds and cheers as she left the stage and returned to her seat. Lonnie was even forced to give her, her props. "Ladies and gentlemen the lovely and talented Songbird, Mye Queen.
Queen returned to her seat to a big bear hug from Teddy. "Girl you scared the hell out of me. Where did you learn to sing like that?"
"It runs in the family."
"I bet Lonnie won't call you out again. I'm so glad you put her uppity ass in her place. She pulls this shit every time Paul brings someone here. I bet she won't do it anymore." Teddy laughed. "Mye Queen, you sang the hell out of that song. I still can't believe it. Miss Lonnie is probably still trying to scrape her jaw off the floor. I love it! No offense Paul but that shit was hot! It gave me wood."
Shocked Queen replied, "I can't believe that you just said that."
"Hey, no offense taken. It gave me wood too!" Paul laughed.
Queen shook her head in disgust. "You too are pigs."
"Don't even try it! Girl, when you got up from this table you knew for yourself that every dick at it was saluting that fat ass of yours. Hell, I could tell that Bear’s dick was as hard as mine by that stupid grin he had on his face after you left," Paul laughed.
"Shit my dick was hard before she even got to the table. I'm just going to put it out there. Queen, on the wood scale from one to ten that shit was a twelve," Teddy declared.
"Thanks I think."
"That's what you get for sitting that bumble bee butt of yours in his lap." Jade mumbled. "What'd you expect?"
"It was an act. I had absolutely no expectations at all." Queen tried to defend herself. "And I certainly did not expect that.
Paul laughed, "I don't know. Seems to me she got the rise that she was looking for." They all laughed.
Queen watched Paul as he laughed and made light of the whole situation. His charm, charisma, and sense of humor were refreshing. It was obvious that he was sexy and smart and extremely handsome but Queen found his confidence and swagger to be the keys that would inevitably unlock her panties.
CHAPTER 5
As expected the ride home was awkward and silent. Though they both had a wonderful time their anticipation of what was to happen next had them both uneasy. Queen kicked off her heels, closed her eyes and meditated on the sultry ballad playing on the radio.
Paul hesitated before breaking the silence. "Did you have a good time?"
Queen continued to chill with her eyes still closed. "Yes, I had a wonderful time. Thank you for the surprise. It was the best first date that I ever had."
"You're welcome. You're not mad that I didn't get you back to the dorm before curfew are you?"
"No, Jades right. I'm a grown woman. I don't need chaperons or curfews to monitor my virtue."
"So does this mean that you're going to move in with me? I mean with us."
Queen hesitates. "I still don't think that it's a good idea. Besides, I don't really have any money for my expenses. My parents just paid for my dorm room and board. And I sure can't tell them that I moved into a townhouse with two men. That shit will fly about as far as a blind baby bird with two broken wings."
"Don't worry about the money. I got you."
"I can't let you do that."
"Why not?"
"It's not fair to you or Teddy for me to stay for free. Besides I don't want to be obligated to..." Queen hesitates.
Paul jumps in, "To what, sleep with me? Is that what you were going to say? Queen you don't have to sleep with me until you want to. I'm not like that."
"Queen finally sits up and looks at Paul. "No, that's not what I was going to say. I get that you're not like that."
"Then what were you going to say?"
"I was going to say... Look we agreed that we may be going our separate ways when we graduate. Not necessarily because we want to, but because our dreams may take us in opposite directions. I just don't want to feel like I've somehow used you. I want to be free to go if and when it comes to that."
"Okay, but is there a possible scenario where we don't have to go our separate ways?"
"I'm sure, there maybe, but I can't guarantee that I can get in school wherever you get drafted. The draft is such a wildcard. I don't see anything short of a miracle that would place us in the same city next year."
Paul bites his lip and held his tongue before he spoke. "I want you to stay with us. I'm a big boy. I'm not worried about you using me. I got you. You don't need any money. I can't guarantee that I'll get drafted to Dallas, but I can guarantee you that I'm not going to let you walk out of my life. And I think we'll be far from over come graduation day."
Queen reserves her right to respond. The truth of the matter was that he was right. She knew that she was going to fall real hard and real fast. Med school had always been her safety net to get out of any dead end relationship with ease. Suddenly she realized that she was free falling without her net. Tonight was the first time she ever considered altering her plans for Medical School for anybody, or for any reason. She closed her eyes and meditated on the music until Paul pulled in the driveway.
As he opened the truck door for her Queen could see the stress and confusion in Paul's face. Not knowing what to say to ease his mind she decided to comfort him with a kiss. Her tongue sought his and he willingly relinquished it to her as he lifted her body from the truck and hugged her tight. Her legs wrapped around his waist as they continued kissing as if it was their last night together on the planet. Well, at least until the headlights of Teddy's Navigator shocked them back to reality.
They had completely forgot that the dateless Teddy was seconds behind them as they drove home. "Get a damn room! And get out of my space." He joked.
Paul laughed, "You are such a damn hater. This is the first time in months that I have a date and you're home alone. Cut me a damn break."
"Yeah whatever! Move out the way so I can park this thing I have to pee."
Paul placed Queen back on the ground as Teddy maneuvered the big SUV into the garage.
Queen said nothing as Paul lead her by the hand to the house. They lingered at the door as Paul fiddled with the keys. Teddy bolted up onto the porch to the door. "Will you two please go in the house or move. I told you that I got to pee. Nigga take her in the house. You act like you've never brought anybody home before."
Paul finally opens the door and Teddy runs into the house past them. He asks, "So are you home or are you just spending the night?"
Queen hesitates, "I'm home."
He smiles and scoops her up and carries her into the house as he kisses her passionately. "Your room or mine?" he whispers.
"As tempting as that offer maybe... I think I'd better go to my room and you probably should go to yours."
"What? No! Why?"
"It's a long story."
"I got all the time in the world to hear this one. Okay... How about if you go to your room and put on something comfortable and I'll get together a late night snack for us and we'll talk."
I don't know I should..."
Paul quickly interrupts, "It's too early to call it a night. And I know you can't be sleepy. I won't try anything. I promise. Cool?"
"Okay. Do you have something that I can sleep in?"
"Yeah, I'll bring you a jersey down in a few."
Queen retires to her room to change. Minutes later she hears someone enter into the room. She assumes that it's Paul, "Can you unzip my dress for me, please."
Teddy who had come down to bring Queen some linen and an extra blanket stops in his tracks. He lays the linen on the bed and slowly approaches Queen who still has her back turned to him. He wanted to say something but he couldn't speak as he watched her swoop her long hair up in expectation of him helping her with the zipper of her dress.
"It's just a damn zipper," he thought.
She repeats her request, "Unzip me. I can't reach."
Teddy's hand nervously fumbled with the zipper.
"Why are you so nervous? Come on unzip me so that I can get out of this
dress."
Teddy slowly unzips Queen's dress exposing her shoulders and back. Her skin looked soft like velvet. As the zipper slowly moved down it became apparent that Queen was not wearing a bra. He hesitated waiting for her to command him to stop, but she never did.
"Go ahead... Unzip it all the way, so that I can just step out of it."
He continued to slowly unzip Queen's dress revealing more and more of Queen's perfectly toned body. It invited his touch and he did not resist. He gently ran the knuckle of his index finger along a fine trail of hair that ran down Queen's back.
Queen recognized that it was a turn on for him. She could feel his breathing become heavier as his warm breath blew gently on her back. Actually, his gentle touch along her spine was stimulating her as well. She thought to herself, "I don't care what Jade said. I'm getting some dick tonight."
Teddy resumed unzipping the dress in anticipation of just a peak at the color of her panties. To his pleasant surprise Queen was wearing a red thong. His breath stopped as he saw the red lace thong magically disappear between two perfectly round mounds of silky smooth flesh. Teddy had to put his knuckle in his mouth in an attempt to keep from screaming.
"Damn! That's a perfect ass." He thought to himself.
As she realized that her helper had completely stopped breathing, Queen smiled. She figured he had seen enough. "Do you have a Jersey?"
Teddy quickly rips his Jersey off his back as Queen, whose back is still turned to him removes her arms from her dress and allows it to fall at her feet. He slowly hands her the Jersey as he sneaks a little peak at Queen fat round ass and a side view of her perky, large breast. He wanted to touch her so bad, but he knew that Queen was just teasing him.
Queen takes the Jersey and slips it over her head. She shakes her long hair free and turns to face him for the first time. "Thanks...." Queen was stunned. "Bear… what are you doing?"
To her surprise she finds Teddy standing there bare chest wearing only jeans looking absolutely magnificent. His muscular body mesmerized her but the bulge in his pants was hypnotic. With her eyes locked on Teddy she stood there speechless as she heard Paul call down to her.
