  “What the fuck?”

“I just remembered how you use to sit in the bleachers at my practices waiting patiently for just a glimpse of my spanks. So, I thought I’d give you another opportunity to take a peek.”

“Oh you dirty little…” Logic grinned as Queen kicked her leg up high revealing that she had no panties on. “Queen we have guest coming over in less than an hour.” He pleaded.

“Then I guess you’d better stop wasting time.” She advised as she did a front split in front of him, resting her head in her hands to watch his reaction.

“You know that’s my shit… Fuck them niggas! Teddy or Dorian can get the damn beer.”

Logic picked Queen up from the floor and kissed her with all the fire and passion of a whorehouse in blaze. She wrapped her thick thighs around his waist and squeezed tight. He quickly unzipped his pants and stuffed her with his goodness. She gasped, “I love you!” as he drove it home fast, hard and balls deep.

He knew that Queen was just trying to unload. It didn’t take long for him to figure out that Queen used sex as a means of depressurizing and handling her stress. She liked it rough when things got tough. And that was exactly how he was going to give it to her.

He pounded her unmercifully before laying her on the bed and thrusting his head up that, way too short Cheerleader's skirt. He devoured every ounce of her honey pot, licking it clean, assuring there would be absolutely nothing left for her precious Teddy Bear to steal or plunder.

Queen squealed as her smoldering release came. Logic quickly reentered her and rode the wave of passion in with her. Moments later they exploded like two Roman Candles. Panting, sweating and laughing they held each other tight.

“You are so damn hot in that uniform. That was a good one. You got me that time.”

Queen laughed, “A girl’s got to wave her skirt as a freak flag every now and then. And I knew your big freaky ass loved that particular flag.”

“You have no idea how many times I fantasized about you and that damn Cheerleader’s uniform. And that split was all it took. Fuck the party.”

Queen grabs her phone from the night stand and calls Jade.

  “What’s up Queen?” Jade answers.

“Nothing, can you stop and get some ice and some beer on your way? We’re running a little behind schedule.”

“You two in there fucking, aren’t you?”

“Not anymore. I got to get in the shower. I’ll see you when you get here.”

“Is Teddy coming?” Jade cautiously asks.

  “Yeah, why?”

“Never mind, I’ll see you when I get there.”

  “Is everything okay?”

“Yeah! I’ll talk to you about it when I get there.”

“Okay.” Queen mumbled as she watched Logic strip down and head for the shower. “I got to go. Something just came up.”

“Yeah I bet it did.” Jade laughed as Queen hung up.

Queen stripped off her uniform and hurried to the shower to join Logic for round two.

  Chapter 39

Jade and Dorian were the first to arrive. Logic and Queen somehow pulled everything together just in time without a moment to spare. Queen had pretty much isolated herself from everyone except her small circle of close friends. It felt good to relax and enjoy their company.

“So where’s your Sugar Bear?” Jade asked as she helped Queen in the kitchen.

  “Don’t even start that bullshit.”

“No, don’t you start. You two think I’m stupid.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I haven’t talked to Bear since that weekend at the ranch.”

“See yeah, that’s the thing. Why? If nothing happened like you said. Why have you two been avoiding each other like you have the flesh eating virus? Oh that’s right, because you do!”

“First of all stop asking questions that you already know the answer to and second keep your voice down. I’m engaged.”

“So you admit that the two of you…”

“The two of us survived something very traumatic by leaning on each other. And that’s all.”

“Okay, I’m going to let this one slide, because I’m so glad to have you back that I’d overlook you fucking King Kong as long as it got the job done.”

“He wasn’t quite as big as King Kong, but he sure got the damn job done.” Queen snickered beneath her breath.

“So now what? Did you two get it out of your system and are now finally ready to just be friends?”

“We’ve never been more than friends.”

“Yeah I know I should have put a modifier on that. Are you finally ready to be friends without benefits?”

Queen did not answer, she simply held up her ring for Jade to see. “Need I keep reminding you?”

“See, that doesn’t answer the question, because that ring, as exquisite as it is, has never stopped you before. You need to keep reminding your damn self that you are engaged. That ring has not done a damn thing to keep you two separated, or your legs shut.”

“I know, but I’m hoping that somehow it will sooner or later. Jade, I’m in a lot of trouble.” Queen confessed.

  “Why what’s going on?”

“Teddy and Logic are both high in the Draft. In fact they’re expected to go at number one and number two.”

Jade looked puzzled. “I know! Queen that’s good news.”

“Yeah, for them… but it’s not so good for me. There are five new expansion teams that we didn’t consider. Las Vegas Nevada and Los Angeles have the top two picks.”

  “Okay… so what?”

“So if Logic goes first in the Draft as expected then he will be drafted to the Nevada Kings. And if Teddy is drafted second then he’ll go to Los Angeles to play for the Archangels.”

“Queen, I don’t see the problem.”

“Jade, the only Medical School even remotely close to Nevada that accepted me is UCLA, which puts me in Los Angeles with Bear.”

“Oh fuck… that is definitely not good. What does Logic have to say about that?”

“He wants me to go to UCLA. I offered to wait a year, and apply to a school in Vegas. But he insists that I go to UCLA. Jade I don’t think I can do it. No, I know I can’t do it.”

“Queen, you don’t have a choice. I don’t get it. Why can’t you bury this shit with Teddy?”

“I’ve buried it countless times. Unfortunately, it was between my legs.”

Jade laughs. “Yeah, you’re right about that. Well maybe it will be alright this time.”

“Yeah, maybe, but I don’t really see how.” Queen said unconvinced. Before Jade could respond the doorbell rang. “That’s probably him now.”

“Queen, look there’s something about Teddy you need to know…” Jade hesitates.

“What? Why do you keep skirting around this. What is it?”

Jade blurts it out, “Teddy has a girlfriend. They’ve been dating for the past three weeks.”

Queen stopped dead in her tracks as if she had a mini stroke or something.

“Queen did you hear what I said?”

“Yeah, but it sounded like you said that Bear has a girlfriend. But that’s crazy shit. Bear hasn’t had a girlfriend since the seventh grade.”

“I know. I was that girl. So, you know that I know. But, he has one now.”

Queen took the news with mixed emotions. She couldn’t quite figure out why. She should have been thrilled that Bear found someone other than her to love. But she couldn’t find a way to believe that, that was possible. Let alone be happy about it.

“Wow, I didn’t see that one coming.” She mumbled.

“I can’t believe Logic didn’t mention it. Dorian told me last night. I figured you knew.”

“No actually he didn’t say a word.” Queen tried desperately to recover. But there were too many unanswered questions. “Do you think he…”

“What? Do I think he’s in love with her? I don’t know. But if he is it’s going to be a dark and cold day in
hell and the devil is shoveling snow and giving away free snow cones.” Jade laughed. She quickly notices that Queen doesn’t find it a laughing matter at all. “Oh shit! No! Look Queen… get your shit together. Don’t even start. Wipe that damn look off your face right now, before Logic sees it.”

“What look?” Queen asked preoccupied in thought.

“Don’t make me put your hand on this fuckin stove to bring your ass out of it, because I will do it.”

Queen pops back to reality. “Stop being so damn dramatic... I’m fine. Let’s go meet the bitch.”

“Oh hell! Here we go.” Jade groaned.

  ~*~*~

Somewhere between the kitchen and the living room Queen regained her senses and found her damned mind. What the fuck was she thinking? Teddy’s never professed his love to any woman but her. So what if he was falling for this woman. Queen realized that she should be the happiest person on the planet for him. Hell, she should throw his ass a damn party. Then it hit her- that was exactly what Logic was doing.

“Sneaky little prick! He’s just trying to rub my face in this shit to see if he can get a rise out of me. I’m not even going to give him the fucking satisfaction. If he really wants to know how I feel about Bear then he needs to grow some balls and just ask.” Queen thought to herself.

As she entered the room Queen instantly felt the intense heat of everyone’s eyes on her poised to gauge her reaction. To be honest Queen never really looked at the girl. Her heart melted the second her eyes met Teddy’s. She rushed to him and gave him a big warm hug and a gentle kiss on the lips. Teddy quickly wrapped his arms around her lifting her feet off the floor as he swung her around like a rag doll.

“It’s good to see you. How have you been holding up?” she asked as he returned her to the floor.

“I’m good. God I missed you Mye Queen. I’ve been so busy trying to rebound from all this madness; I haven’t had a chance to stop by and check on you. You look good. How have you been?”

“I’m good. Who’s your date?” Queen asked as she turned to face Teddy’s beautiful friend who stood by watching their reunion.

“This is Samyra. Sam this is Mye Queen.”

“Welcome, it’s good to meet you Samyra.” Queen smiled as she offered Samyra a sisterly hug.

Samyra smiled. “It’s great to finally meet you Queen. Call me Sam.”

Samyra was a drop dead gorgeous woman who appeared to be an exotic mix of African American, Native American, Asian and some European nationality that Queen couldn’t quite pinpoint. The result was a stunning young black woman with long, soft naturally curly, coal black hair, smooth bronze skin and large expressive almond shaped brown eyes. Oh yeah and a lean but sexy body guaranteed to make every dick in a fifty mile radius hard.

“Teddy has told me so much about you. I feel that I already know you.” She added.

“I bet he didn’t tell you everything about her.” Jade mumbled beneath her breath. Queen pretended not to hear.

“Well it’s certainly a pleasure to meet you. Have you met Jade?” Queen asked.

“Oh yeah this is Jade, Dorian’s girl.” Teddy nonchalantly mumbled and nodded in Jade’s general direction.

“Hi Jade it’s a pleasure to meet you as well. We’ll have to get to know each other better, because Teddy hasn’t mentioned a thing about you.”

Jade managed a wry fake smile and reserved comment as she rolled her eyes at Teddy.

“I’d better go check on the food. Make yourself at home.” Queen apologized as she excused herself and headed for the kitchen. Jade followed on her heels.

“Dorian said that she was beautiful, but damn! I’m not gay or anything, but I think she made my clit hard.” Jade joked.

“She is stunning.” Queen wryly agreed as she checked on the crab cakes that were in the oven.

“That’s all you have to say?”

“What else is there to say? I’m happy for him. Maybe she’s good for him. He needs someone that can ground him.”

“I thought that’s where you came in. Isn’t that your job?”

“I’m not always going to be there to do that. Bear deserves someone special in his life.” Queen replied as she took out the cutting board and begin to cut the vegetables for the toss salad.

“This shit is killing you isn’t it?” Jade smiled. “I can see it all over you. You’re jealous.”

“What of the fact that Bear has a girlfriend? No I’m good. It actually could be the answer to a lot of my problems.”

“Yeah okay... Don’t think I can’t see through that quiet storm front you’re trying so hard to project. I can see the wheels turning in that little devious mind of yours. What are you planning to do?”

“I am not plotting or scheming anything. I have no clue what you are talking about. I said that I was happy for him. Why would I be planning to do anything?”

  “Whatever bitch.” Jade laughed.

Queen continued to chop vegetables like she didn’t have a care in the world. Inside she was torn apart. She was so distraught that she could hardly contain herself. Jade was right, she was jealous and that scared the hell out of her.

Seconds later Teddy appeared in the kitchen doorway. “Is everything okay back here? Do you need some help Mye Queen?”

“No, but thanks for asking, I got it under control.”

Teddy could tell by Queen’s demeanor that she was bothered by his relationship with Samyra. “Jade, can you give me a minute alone with Queen.”

Jade crosses her arms across her chest, shifts her weight to one hip and stares at him, trying to gauge his motive and his intent. “For what?”

“None of your damn business, nosy.” He snarled.

Queen nods for her to leave.

“You two need therapy, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost, that’s all I have to say.” Jade responds as she reluctantly leaves.

Queen is quiet as she tosses the large bowl of salad she was preparing.

“I missed you.” Teddy’s deep sultry voice admitted, sending ripples up Queen’s spine. “Did you miss me?”

“Of course I did. It’s been almost three weeks since the last time I saw you.”

“You know what I’m talking about. Don’t you?”

  “Bear…”

“It’s a simple question- yes or no. Answer the question Mye Queen.”

Queen hesitates, there really was no point in lying. The truth was that there was not a day or night that went by that she didn’t crave his touch. “Yes.” She simply conceded as she put the salad in the refrigerator.

Teddy moves in close behind her. Close enough that she could feel his dick swell beneath the fabric of his jeans. “Then we need to talk, somewhere where we can be alone for awhile.”

Queen turns to face him. She searches his eyes. They still look at her with the same familiar longing that they’ve always had for her. “What about Sam? Who is she to you?”

“Sam is just another Red Sonja… Nothing more and nothing less.”

Queen quickly dodges pass him and Teddy reaches into the refrigerator and grabs a beer just as Logic enters the kitchen.

“Hey, grab that bottle of wine Teddy, while you’re in there.” Logic requests as he grabs wine glasses from the cabinet. “How’s the food coming, baby? Do you need me to do anything?” he asked as he kisses Queen’s lips.

  “No, I’m good. Everything’s ready.”

“Okay, well let me put the wine on the table and I’ll be right back to help you serve.” He replies as he leaves the kitchen with the wine and the glasses in hand.

Teddy’s eyes never leave Queen. He takes a big gulp of the beer and swallows hard. “So what’s it going to be Mye Queen?”

  “I’ll call you next week.”

A broad sexy grin crossed his face. “We’ll talk more then.”

  Chapter 40

Knowing she was as wrong as a hooker turning tricks in the choir loft Queen called Teddy. She knew what was up, but she didn’t care. This was a talk that they desp
erately needed to have before the NFL Draft. If Queen could not hold her ground and keep her panties out of his mouth then she knew that she had absolutely no chance of surviving a year alone with him in Los Angeles.

Queen arrived a little late. Teddy was nervously nursing a Corona when she walked into the crowded bar and grill. She smiled and his eyes brighten as if he just saw the sun rise for the very first time.

“Mye Queen, I was beginning to think that you weren’t going to show up.”

“Sorry, I’m running a little late.” Queen apologized as she hugged him. The scent of Teddy’s cologne was intoxicating and haunted her as she sat in her seat across from him.

“It was worth the wait. You look beautiful.” He sighed.

“Thanks.” Queen said as the waitress came with a menu.

“What’s wrong, you seem on edge. Is everything okay?” He asked concerned.

“No, not really… Yeah. Look Bear, I can’t do this with you.”

“Do what Queen? We’re just having lunch.”

  “I can’t…”

  “You can’t what?”

“I can’t stand to be around you. I fuckin just can’t!”

“Why? What are you talking about?”

“Bear my body aches for you like a fucking toothache. It doesn’t even matter how much Logic screws me. And I don’t know how to make it stop.”

“Then don’t. Let me make it stop.”

“I can’t keep cheating on Logic with you.”

  “Then call off the engagement.”

“What? No! And then what? What about Sam?”

“Queen I told you what was up with Sam.”

“Dorian told Jade that you two have been dating exclusively for the past month. Are you falling in love with her?”

“First of all, Dorian needs to stay out of my damn business. It’s not like that. It might appear that way, but it’s not. Second, I told you that I was in love with you. Nothings changed. And you have to know that I want you just as bad as you want me.”

“But Sam said that she’s probably moving with you once…”

Teddy quickly interrupts. “I don’t give a damn what Sam said. She’s not moving with me to Los Angeles.” Teddy declared as he cruised the menu. “I can’t stop her from moving to L.A. but she’s not living with me. Uh hells no!”
