Siofra's Song: Book 1 The Broadus Supernatural Society Series Page 16

by Hewitt, Theresa Marguerite

Conall crouches down, beckoning to Roan whom is seated next to his mother, Susan. “Come here Roan, come to Daddy.” The little boy hops up and sprints into his arms. Taking the ring pillow and handing it to his father, Conall kisses Roan on the cheek and sets him back down, telling him to go to his grandma.

“Conall, put this ring on Siofra’s finger and repeat after me.” Taking the white and rose gold band from his father’s hand, he readies Siofra’s left hand, gently rubbing his fingers on her down-turned palm, sending a fire through her that she knows he can sense; the mischievous smirk on his lips giving it away.

“I will love and cherish you, through sickness and health, for richer or poorer, for the rest of my days. This I promise you.” He smiles, slipping the band onto her hand to meet with her engagement ring. Tears start to flow down her cheeks and she motions to Cassie for a tissue.

Dabbing at her cheeks, taking the ring offered by Clyde, Siofra takes Conall’s left hand and repeats the same words, but not without choking up and being coaxed through it by the desire driven look in Conall’s eyes. Winking at him as she slides the camouflage colored ring on his finger and she squeezes his hand gently.

With the human ceremony done, Clyde has them hold out their left arms, wrists touching to complete the wolf bonding ceremony. Taking a skinny leather strap from his pocket, Clyde wraps it around their hands, binding them together. He holds their joined hands up, between his, as his oldest son, and now Pack Alpha, Michael joins him. Mike’s hands cover his father’s, signaling his blessing of this marriage, and Siofra’s skin tingles at the power emanating from the three men.

“You are now one in the eyes of the Pack. Your lives are one, your hearts are one. Everything you do, you do with the good of the Pack in mind. You will raise your resulting cubs in our ways, and honor your Alpha without hesitation.” Looking only at each other, Siofra and Conall both nod, Conall not missing the opportunity to make her squirm as he winks at her. “You’ll honor the land, the people and the Pack. You’ll honor one another, never forsaking this bond.” Releasing their hands, Clyde grasps Michael’s arm and raises their conjoined hands, hovering over Conall and Siofra.

“Big Sky Pack and visitors,” he announces, “I present Mr. and Mrs. Conall Johnson.” Gazing at his son and daughter-in-law, he states, “You may kiss your mate.”

His right arm surrounds her waist and leaning down, Conall draws Siofra up into his chest, capturing her lips in a passionate, demanding, exploration of a kiss. She gets lost in the sensation of his lips gliding over hers, the way his tongue begs entrance and she moans into his mouth, letting him explore her. Their wolves growl wantonly at the same time and Siofra sinks into his arms, pressing her chest into his as he lifts her off the ground.

He is ours and we are his, her wolf echoes joyously in her mind as Conall nips her bottom lip, making her giggle lightly.

Choruses of howls and excited yips fill their ears and they release the hold they have on each other, following it up with small kisses till they are told to get a room. “Get out of our house, then,” Conall answers and everyone laughs. Siofra gasps when he pulls her in again, her breasts pinned to his chest as his hand explores the back of her dress and butt. “I’ll be more than happy to rip this beautiful dress from my gorgeous wife’s body sooner rather than later,” he growls in her ear and a lust filled shutter runs through her, causing her to grip onto his arm to keep from falling to her knees, from being dizzy with passion for this man.

With another kiss, they lead the crowd into the nearby white wedding tent to start the celebration. The party starts with a feast of every kind of wild game you can think of, all caught by the Pack. Solar lights and white Christmas lights come on when the dark really settles in, making the white tent glow yellow. Drinks flow freely and as the alcohol settles in the guests, the dancing starts.

Before their official first dance, Siofra has a surprise for Conall. She knows everyone will be a little surprised with her ‘gift’, but she hopes they will all like it; especially her new husband.

“Sit here, my husband, I have a surprise for you.” Raising an eyebrow, Conall obliges as she slips from the head table. Signaling to the best-man Jace and groomsman, Jason, she hops up onto the make-shift band stand.

“Excuse me, everyone,” she announces and waits for the DJ to cut the music. “Thank you for coming,” cheers and howls go up and she tamps them all down with a smile, “but I have a little surprise for my new husband!” Nodding to Jason at the piano and Jace sitting with his guitar, they start up their own rendition of Alison Krauss’s “When You Say Nothing At All”.

Siofra has practiced this with the two in private, having Cassie and Sylvia cover for her with Conall; and she takes all the practice to heart as she belts it out to the best of her capacity, hitting the notes like Jace and Jason had coached her to. Guests pair off, slow dancing, and meandering around the makeshift dance floor. All Siofra can see, however, is the look in her husband’s eyes; those damn green eyes burning a hole in her soul, from across the room.

He is watching her, his eyes communicating his overflowing pride and love of his new wife. The song comes to an end, and she watches him as he crosses the dance floor, accepting pats on the back and handshakes from their friends; coming to stand in front of Siofra. He stands there, looking oh so sexy with his hands in his dress pant pockets and his collar loosened, his tie untied and hanging around his neck. Reaching up, putting his hands on her waist, Conall lifts her up and sets her down; capturing her mouth in a possessive kiss.

Their wolves relish in the moment, entwining and growling, Siofra’s hands roaming Conall’s chest and shoulders. If there weren’t guests all around, she’d have him hike up her dress, rip her lace panties off and take her right here, sealing their bond officially. Panting for breath, they release each other to haunting celebratory howls and cheers echoing off the dome of the tent.

“Let’s invite the new couple out onto the dance floor for their first official dance.” The DJ cues up their song, Thompson Square’s “Glass” and they flow out onto the middle of the floor almost as one.

“I love you, Siofra,” Conall kisses her, running his hands up her back along the zipper of her dress. He is such a tease. His fingers run along the top of the dress, brushing lightly on her bare back and she shivers in his arms. She can feel him smile against her ear before he bites it, his tongue running over the marks and sending her blood boiling for him even more.

“I love you, Conall, my husband,” Siofra breathes out, gazing up into his green eyes. Those damn green eyes, which seemingly see into her very soul. Those same eyes that she hopes will be looking at her with the same passion and desire fifty years down the road, as they are right now.

Siofra has found never-ending love, happiness and family in Broadus. Who would have thought a little sleet would have put her on the road to happiness? How she loves sleet nowadays.
