Whatever she wanted to do was fine with him. He shook his head. “Have at it, honey.”

She pushed at his chest, guiding him back until he sat on the wide tiled ledge that doubled as a shower seat. Propping one foot next to his hip, she lowered herself so close he could feel her wet heat on his shaft. She drew his sensitive head through her juices, taking him on a journey from her clit, down around her hole, and back again. She rocked and rotated, but she never outright fucked him. It took him a few wondrous minutes to realize she was masturbating with his cock.

As he watched, she sighed and moaned with her head thrown back.

“Look at me,” he ordered. “I want to see your face when you come.”

His sweet submissive obeyed. She thrust her hips faster, slipping against the most responsive part of his cock. Her lips parted, and her eyes took on that glassy look that preceded an orgasm. The sight of her and the feel of her on him combined to push him over the edge. His balls drew up, and he shot is wad onto her. She swiveled her hips faster, and it was almost too much for him to take, but he was determined to hold out. Her body stiffened, and he reached out to help her keep balanced.

One thing he loved about Samantha was her recovery time. It was a challenge—one that he loved—to exhaust her to the point of not being able to move. The fog cleared from her eyes, and she resumed her bathing duties.

He enjoyed her ministrations as she washed his body and massaged shampoo into his hair. “Are you still worried about me?”

“Yes,” she said. “The caffeine has kicked in, but you still look tired.”

“Sated,” he corrected. His eyes were droopy, yes, but that was due to the dose of serotonin she’d delivered.

She pursed her lips and he knew she was struggling not to argue. He let her wage her inner war, but when the agreement he sought didn’t come, he chose not to push the issue. Samantha could be a very stubborn woman, and he wanted to spend a nice afternoon together.

Stefano scribbled a note on his tablet, confirmed the information, and ended his call just as Sammy and Lex emerged from the bedroom. Her long blonde hair, still wet from the shower, was pulled back in a ponytail, and she was still naked. That was Lex’s doing. He often kept her nude and available.

Lex looked better. His color was back to normal, but he had dark circles under his eyes. Stef remembered seeing those all the time on their father. At the time, he hadn’t thought too much about it. His father had always worked long hours, the same kind of schedule he and Lex had set for themselves. It was a recipe for success, and they baked it well.

Sammy grabbed three beach towels. “I thought we’d hang out today, maybe swim a little bit?”

“Beautiful One,” Lex said. “Let’s have lunch.”

Just like that, Samantha sank to her hands and knees.

Stefano drew his brows together. “What’s going on?”

Lex grinned triumphantly. “I brought you a pony, Stef. The more often I breed her, the closer she gets to becoming a unicorn.”

The endearment was a signal that Sammy should enter pony mode. Stef shook his head. “No. Nope. I’m not going there. You want to—that’s fine. I don’t. Leave me out of it.”

“Too bad,” Lex said. He stroked her hair. “She gets bonus points for taking us both at the same time.”

Sammy shot him such a pitiful look that he actually felt bad. He didn’t want to be the reason she failed. “Don’t make me the bad guy.”

Lex shrugged. “Ahoy, matey. You like being the bad guy.”

At his feet, Sammy struggled to bite back her laughter. She’d teased him using those terms several times in earshot of Lex. Stefano decided to add fuel to the fire. “Yo, ho, ho. Watch it, or I’ll steal your pony and turn her into a beautiful captive.”

That did it. She giggled. Stef loved to hear her laugh.

Lex chuckled, too, and that was a nice sound as well. “Come on, Beautiful One. Let’s feed you some lunch.”

He watched as Lex led her to the table. “Stay.”

The two of them threw together sandwiches for lunch. Stef kept sneaking glances over his shoulder at Sammy. She pranced about and tossed her head in what could only be described as a flirty move, but she didn’t wander away from the place Lex had put her.

“When are you going to release her?”

“Why?” Lex said. “I’ll let you have sex with my pony.”

  “You’re an ass.”

“Nope. But later I’ll turn into a wild stallion and give that mare what she’s asking for.”

Stefano rolled his eyes. He just might end up kidnapping a pony and turning her into a princess captive.

Lex cut Sammy’s food into bite-sized pieces and set it on the floor. She lowered her face to the plate and ate delicately, bringing her innate grace to the role she played.

  “That’s not a pony. That’s a dog.”

  Lex scowled. “She’s a pony.”

“Horses use feed bags. Dogs eat like that.”

“Unless you’re going to join us, you don’t get to criticize the way we play. To each his own, brother.”

Stefano was growing irritated with his brother. He stood up, hauled Sammy to her feet, and bent her over the table. “No tail for your pony?”

Sammy squirmed, trying to escape his hold, so he tapped her on the ass.

“Stop,” she said. He let go, and she stood up. “I’ve had enough of this crap. If you two want to fight, then have at it. I’ll be on the beach.” With that, she grabbed her bikini and put it on. “You guys stay here and talk this out, or just scream and yell at each other, but when I see you next, I want this resolved. Lex, you intentionally started pony play to annoy Stef, and Stef, you need to come to terms with the fact that this is something we’re going to be exploring.”

She scooped up her towel and sunscreen, and she exited the suite. Brothers fought, and when he and Lex went at it, Sammy had little patience for their drama. They didn’t do it often, but that didn’t mean she’d grown tolerant over the years.

Stefano scowled at Alexei. “She almost never uses her safe word.”

Lex pointed at the table. “You were going to punish her for following my orders. That’s not acceptable.”

He hadn’t been about to punish her. He’d intended to play with her until she came out of her role and begged him to fuck her. “Neither is turning her into a pony when we’re both supposed to spend time with her. You’re being an ass, Lex.”

“You’re being an ass. She likes pony play. We’re down here trying to put our fingers in the dam holding back the mess this deal has become instead of in New York where we can actually do damage control. I would think you’d do everything you can to make her happy enough to come back with us.”

Stefano seethed. “You’re engaging in pony play just to make her happy? She’s going to be pissed and she’s going to feel betrayed when she finds out that you’re only doing this to humor her.”

“I’m not,” Lex said hotly. Fire blazed from his eyes, glittering like dangerous blue diamonds. “I like it, and she wants to use it to explore her bratty side. I think if she has an outlet to misbehave, she’ll be able to let out her frustrations, and she won’t flee to a semi-deserted island to get away from us.”

His brother’s logic was sound, and his argument took the wind out of Stef’s sails. He sank down onto a chair. “You want to head back?”

  “Not without Samantha.”

  Stefano nodded. “She’ll come.”

  Chapter Ten

The wide recliner in the common room of their suite was so very comfortable. She tilted it back and closed her eyes. Across the room, Lex and Stef were shuffling papers and riffling through emails. They’d agreed that Samantha and Alexei wouldn’t engage in pony play when she was scheduled to spend time with Stefano. Lex had apologized for putting her in a position to piss Stef off, and the two of them seemed to have had a good talk.

They needed those every once in a while. Most people
wouldn’t think Lex and Stef could ever disagree, but they’d be wrong. While they presented a united front in public, and they did seem to have a knack for knowing what the other would do, think, or say, they had occasional squabbles. Samantha had learned to leave the scene and not return until the coast was clear. Rarely did she feel the need to mediate their fights, especially when they argued about how to divide her time.

After one especially nasty argument, she’d taken over the job of deciding who slept with her each night. Whether it was completely fair wasn’t open for discussion. She had the only vote.

“Sammy, the pilot called. Our flight is scheduled for Sunday.”

Lex had pled with her to return with them to New York before Monday, but she’d only agreed when Stefano nodded a positive answer to her silent query. He’d made an appointment with Lex’s doctor. It was on Tuesday. That left Lex with an entire day to work. It worried her, but there was nothing she could do about it.

“Okay. I’ll be ready by then. Sophia will be here Saturday to look over the renovation work so far.” The crew hadn’t done much but tear things out and bicker with Tessa about her designs. Samantha had spent much of her day fighting a growing dislike of the contractor. Of course, his uncouth behavior had continued, but only when Lex and Stef weren’t around.

She didn’t know if it was the bad start to the day—she hated when Lex and Stef quarreled—but this day wasn’t her favorite. The moment Lex ordered her into her pony persona, she knew trouble was going to happen. Fighting the urge to misbehave hadn’t been difficult because the tension in the room had put her on a bad edge and kept her there.

Dealing with the contractor sans Lex and Stef had been the icing on the cake.

She kissed Stefano good night and reminded Lex that it was his night to sleep with her. “You can spend all night working, or you can come to bed with me. Things happen in bed with me that won’t happen out here if your only companion is your brother.”

“Mmm.” Lex closed his eyes and smiled. “Sleep. I could go for some of that. We just have a few more things to do here, and I’ll be right in.”

She woke up the next morning with Lex beside her and no idea what time he’d rolled in. The time on the clock showed that Sophia was due to arrive any minute. She’d traveled all night, and Samantha had chartered a boat to get her to the island. Samantha had a quick breakfast before heading to the dock. She didn’t wake up Lex or Stef before she went down to the dock, but she did leave a note.

Sophia wasn’t alone. Drew and Neal had accompanied her. Samantha hadn’t met Neal yet, but she’d heard all about him from Sabrina. He was as handsome as Sabrina had described. A bit on the thin side, lanky and lithe, but not to Samantha’s taste. She liked her men a little more filled out. Neal wasn’t that much taller than her, and she liked a man who could scoop her up when the whim struck him. Sophia was about the right size for Neal to do that to her if he wanted, but he’d probably drop Samantha.

No matter. He was spoken for, and so was she.

Sophia squealed and threw her arms around Samantha. The two exchanged an extended, tight hug.

“It’s been too long since I’ve seen you,” Sophia said.

Drew was next up to envelop her in his arms. “Damn, Sam. You look fantastic. Island living agrees with you.”

Neal stayed in the background, a tiny smile lighting his dark blue eyes. The breeze ruffled his light brown hair. Drew’s was too full of product to bend to the will of the wind. Sophia had hers pulled back in a neat ponytail, though her dark bangs blew every which way.

Sophia took him by the hand and urged him forward. “Sam, I want to you meet Neal. He completes us.”

Neal took her hand, intending a handshake. He had a firm grip. Samantha threw her arms around him and smacked a kiss on his cheek. “It’s so great to finally meet you.”

He blushed becomingly. Rosy-cheeked, he said, “Same here. Sophie and Drew have told me so much about you.” His eyes scanned the empty dock behind her.

“Lex and Stef aren’t up yet. They pulled a late night working on some crappy business deal.”

Drew chuckled. “Those Morozovs—always looking to take advantage of a situation.”

Samantha eyed Drew speculatively. He’d known her lovers since before they’d grown hair on their manly bits. “Don’t tell me they were this enterprising in high school.”

Shaking his head, Drew quirked one of his patented Sensual Secrets’ smiles. “Enterprising? No comment.”

Sophia slung her arm around Samantha’s shoulders. “Let’s get us a room. I’m starving and exhausted. These two were goofing around on the plane all night.”

Samantha didn’t know if “goofing around” was a euphemism. Sophia wasn’t given to using them, so she chalked it up to Drew’s love of having fun and let it go. She didn’t need to seek clarification.

“I put you in a suite down the hall from us. We’re trying to stay out of other floors and wings. Heather and most of the staff is in the same hallway.” The construction crew was staying in another building, and Samantha didn’t know what they were going to do once the guest portions were completed. “I was thinking we need to build something for staff living. The construction crew can stay there until they’re finished.”

She showed Sophia and her men to their room, and she left after promising to wake them up for a late lunch. She needed to meet with Sophia to discuss the problem with the construction crew. Leaving them without close supervision made her fear that the job wouldn’t be done correctly. She’d caught Morin several times cutting corners and it was just going to end up costing her more money later on.

Before going back to the suite, she peeked in to check the status of her men. Stefano was on the balcony having coffee. She joined him.

“I thought you were down at the construction site,” he said, his deep voice scratchy from disuse.

“Sophie, Drew, and Neal arrived this morning. I went out to meet them. I’m still getting my courage up for going down to the site.” She inhaled the steam rising from her cup. In some ways, that was the best part of having a mug of coffee.

Stefano looked over at her. “What did you think of Neal?”

She shrugged. “He’s cute, definitely Sophie and Drew’s type. I don’t know, really. I mostly talked to Sophie about not liking the head of the construction crew.”

This was the first time she’d brought up the issues she’d been having with Skip Morin. He treated her like a ditzy blonde, and Samantha hated that. Her revelation knocked the last vestiges of sleep from Stef.

  “What’s he done?”

Samantha was known for being a people person. Almost nobody she had ever met disliked her. They might not have ended up as friends, but she had always parted on friendly terms. “He wants to do things a certain way, and he keeps telling me that what I want done won’t work. I know it will. I’m not a stranger to design or construction. Some of the things I want are a pain in the ass to integrate with the existing structure, but that doesn’t make them impossible.”

Stefano set his mug on the glass table between them. “I’ll talk to him.”

“No,” she said. “This is my project. I’ll handle it. If I need help, I have three partners to back me up. I’m going to sit down with Sophia and Tessa today and go over everything. She’s staying for a week, so she’ll be taking over haggling with that moron. I’d like to see him talk to her like she’s an airhead.”

“Fire his ass.” Stefano issued it as an order, not a suggestion. Since he’d solved the problem, he sat back and picked up his mug again. “Go back to the bid list and find someone else. This is a lot of money. Any contractor should be bending over backward to make sure you’re happy.”

Ellen had vetted and chosen this company. Samantha would need to talk to her, Sabrina, and Sophia before she made a decision like that.

“What time did you two get to bed last night?”

“Midnight. Lex has been asleep for ten hours.”

  “
Lex is awake.”

Samantha turned at the sound of his voice to find him standing in the opening to the room wearing only his boxers. He sipped his coffee and regarded her with narrowed eyes.

“Samantha, Stef is right. Talk to Sophia today, but take steps to get rid of that man. This is not the time to be nice or worry about hurting his feelings.”

She was beyond that concern. “I will. Why don’t you come join us?”

  “Stef, have you had breakfast?”

Stefano looked over his shoulder. “Yep. Are you planning to train your pony?”

  “Yep.”

Stef got up. “I’m going for a walk. You have an hour. When I get back, we’re having a sandwich.”

After witnessing the fight they had yesterday, Samantha wanted to grab Stef’s hand and draw him back, but one look at his face calmed her alarm. He wasn’t upset at all. He kissed her cheek and nibbled on her earlobe. “If you’re very rotten, I might be persuaded to breed with you when I come back.”

Mouth agape, she stared after him as he left the suite.

“What did he say?” Lex asked as the door closed.

Samantha thought it not prudent to repeat everything. After all, if Stef had wanted Lex to know, he would have announced it to the room. Still, what if Stefano’s aim was to sabotage her time with Lex? She bit her lip.

“Samantha, he put a huge grin on your face.”

She got to her feet and wiggled out of her clothes. “You’ve been known to do the same.”

Lex sighed, accepting that she wasn’t going to spill. “Beautiful One, let’s get your tack on you.”

He produced the bridle. She remained as still as she could as he closed in on her. He pressed the bit to her lips. She opened them, but wickedness seized her, and she nipped at his fingertips.

Surprise crossed his features, but his dominant nature kicked in. “No. No biting. Now open up and take your bit.”

The harshness of his tone called to her submissive nature, calming her away from the bad behavior. She found herself following his command. He buckled the bridle around her head, caressing her face as he checked the fit.
