How far will Bella go to keep her job?

I love my job. It’s only a temp position but it’s everything I want in a job… especially my sexy hunk of a boss. I was sure that he would hire me at the end of the contract, but then … wham! … he called me into his office and fired me!

Well, I wasn’t going to give up without a fight so, in a fit of desperation—and wildly out of control hormones—I tempted him with an offer he couldn’t resist.

He was surprised, for sure, but after I suggested the special arrangement—and demonstrated the benefits—he was quite enthusiastic.

Now the question is, just how far will I go to keep my job?

If you love stories about forbidden office affairs, especially with a sexy boss, then following Bella and Mr. Elliott’s tempestuous affair is an erotic roller coaster you’ll definitely want to ride!

  Tempting the Boss,

  Obsessed

Bella tempted Mr. Elliott with a special arrangement to keep her job,

but it seems like it might have worked too well…

When Mr. Elliott told Bella he found her sexy curves to be a disturbing distraction in the office, and as a result, he wasn’t going to renew her contract, Bella had to think fast. She suggested an arrangement designed to reduce his… tension. He renewed her contract, and even promoted her to be his personal assistant.

Now, however, the arrangement doesn’t seem to be working. Rather than putting aside the distraction, Mr. Elliott can’t seem to think of anything but Bella. Their desperate need to be in each other’s arms becomes an obsession.

When Mr. Elliott returns from a business trip, he tells Bella that he has something important to discuss with her, and she’s sure that means trouble. She’s still only a temp, despite the fact he made her his personal assistant, and he could end her contract at any time.

Was he going to call off their arrangement and let her go completely?

I hurried to the elevator and pushed the button, anxious to get to my office.

  Anxious to see him again.

Mr. Elliott had gone away on a business trip last Thursday and I had missed seeing him at work every day.

Missed having hot, sizzling sex with him in his office.

  Every day.

  Sometimes twice.

The doors whooshed open and I headed to my modest office beside Mr. Elliott’s large executive office, ignoring Gina’s icy stare. I hung up my coat and placed my purse in the bottom drawer, then stepped out the door again.

“Is he in?” I asked Gina.

Her gaze slid to me, animosity crackling between us.

“Shouldn’t you know that, being his personal assistant and all?”

Gina had been shocked when Mr. Elliott had told her about my new position. She hated that I had been promoted above her. And she suspected that something was going on between us. Not that she could know for sure. Mr. Elliott’s strict policy of not dating employees was well known.

  Not that we were dating.

We were just having an illicit sexual affair. One to ease the tension of working together with the intense attraction sizzling between us.

This was a first for Mr. Elliott. And for me. I’d never done anything like this before.

I didn’t let Gina goad me with her snarky statement.

“Let me know when he gets in,” I said.

Despite Gina’s desire to sabotage me, I knew she’d do it, because she understood she was in a precarious situation. Mr. Elliott would ultimately listen to me over her if something went wrong and she never knew if denying a request of mine might lead to a scheduling conflict, or missing an important deadline.

“How is his schedule today?” I asked.

“Full,” she said, pulling it up on the screen.

I could see that his calendar had filled up since Friday.

“I guess you won’t really have time for any quiet chats today,” she sneered.

I sent her an indifferent stare, not letting her speculation throw me.

“Fit me in right after his eleven o’clock,” I said.

  “There’s no time.”

“So make two minutes.” My voice was hard and stone cold.

She scowled and turned to her computer. “Clearly, you work fast,” she mumbled under her breath.

  “I beg your pardon?”

The elevator door opened and Mr. Elliott appeared.

The sight of him—his broad masculine shoulders filling out his designer suit, his dark waves, combed neatly back, his steel blue eyes glancing around the space, then settling on me with a warm glow—set my heart pounding.

“Good morning, Mr. Elliott,” Gina said with a saccharine smile.

“Good morning, Gina.” But his gaze never left my face.

“Good morning, Mr. Elliott,” I echoed.

He smiled, his straight white teeth flashing, and his eyes heating.

  “Good morning, Bella.”

Gina shot me a resentful glance. She’d had her eye on Mr. Elliott long before I came to work here. She didn’t know there was anything going on between him and me, but she clearly believed there was.

And she hated me for it.

He walked past Gina’s desk toward me. My heart went pitter pat as he got close.

“Bella, I want to go over some things from the trip with you. Why don’t you come into my office?”

“I’m sorry, Mr. Elliott,” Gina piped in, “but you have Mr. Shore arriving in just a moment for your first appointment.”

Annoyance flitted across his face, but he smoothed it away.

“Yes, of course. Gina, when is there a spot in my schedule this morning for me to meet with Bella?”

“She suggested after your eleven o’clock, but I told her there wasn’t enough time.”

“Fuck,” he murmured under his breath, low enough Bella was sure she could hear it but Gina couldn’t. “I’m afraid that won’t work,” he said more to me than to the other woman. “I made some changes to my schedule over the
weekend as a result of the trip. I’ll have to synch them up.”

“I’ll handle that for you, Sir,” I said.

As his personal assistant, I handled any tasks that freed him up to work at peak performance, other than taking and managing his appointments, which Gina handled. But she didn’t know how to synch his new phone with her scheduling app, so I took care of that. And Gina hated that.

He pulled his cell phone from his pocket and handed it to me. When I took it our fingers brushed and my knees grew weak at the crackling awareness that shot through me. His eyes darkened as he drew his hand away, desire burning in their depths.

“Would you like me in any meetings with you today, Sir?” I asked.

I often was by his side at meetings to take notes and track action items.

“No, they’re all part of a new project I’m initiating and the details are sensitive, so the meetings need to be one-on-one.” The disappointment in his eyes was evident. “I do want some time with you today to squeeze in some urgent business, so we’ll ensure we find an opening as soon a possible. ”

I knew exactly what kind of urgent business he had in mind and what opening was appropriate for it.

  “Of course, Sir.”

“Mr. Elliott,” Gina said, “Mr. Shore is on his way up.”

Gina placed the phone back in its cradle. “I’ll bring coffee in right away.”

  “Thanks, Gina.”

Mr. Elliott turned to his office, but not before sending me a searing glance that set my blood on fire.

The elevator doors opened and a distinguished older man stepped into the reception area.

“Go right in, Mr. Shore,” Gina said.

As soon as the man walked into Mr. Elliott’s office and closed the door behind him, Gina sent me a contemptuous glare.

I went into my office and turned on my computer. While it was starting up, I turned on his phone and opened the calendar, then synched it with Gina’s app.

He had appointments all day, with no gaps. He did have a short break at lunch. I’d have to keep myself occupied until then, trying to curb my craving until I could see him.

My body ached with the need to be with Mr Elliott. To feel his hands glide over my naked skin. To feel his big cock push inside me.

Oh, God, it was all I could do not to slide my skirt up and glide my fingers under my panties and give myself the relief I so craved.

Instead, I threw myself into my work, burning up the hours as my longing for Mr. Elliott burned through me.

Gina came by at one point to pick up Mr. Elliott’s phone, retrieving it with an icy silence.

I heard people come and go from the office next door, without a break. When noon rolled around, I watched for Mr. Elliott to leave the office but the minutes ticked past with no sign of him.

Finally, I stood up and walked to the reception area.

“He’s still in there,” Gina said without looking up from her computer. “The previous meeting went long, so he asked me to order in lunch for them.” She gazed at me over the glasses she wore while doing computer work. “So I doubt you’ll have a chance to chat with him today.”

  I didn’t let Gina’s smugness bother me.

Gina’s phone rang and she picked it up.

“Yes, Mr. Elliott. Yes, sir, she’s right here.” Gina frowned. “Yes, sir. I’ll tell her.”

She hung up and glared at me. “He said for you to wait here until his meeting is done, then he’ll see you.” She frowned. “Briefly,” she stressed. “He has another appointment at one.”

Gina stood up. “He told me to forward his calls to reception and go to lunch. You’re supposed to stay at my desk until he’s ready for you.”

She grabbed her purse from her drawer and stalked off.

I sat down at the chair Gina had just vacated and reviewed his schedule. There were only twenty minutes until his next appointment.

The time crawled by, but finally the door opened.

“Don’t worry, I’ll move quickly on this,” Mr. Elliott said as he escorted a woman in a chic, designer suit from his office. “You’ll hear from me this afternoon.”

“I look forward to it.” The blonde beauty shook his hand and I could see a twinkle of appreciation in her brown eyes as she gazed at my handsome boss. “I hope we’ll have a very long and profitable association.”

Then she turned and walked toward the elevator, a purposeful sway to her hips.

My stomach clenched as jealousy seeped through me, all the more intense because I knew a woman like that was more his style. She was an executive not a mere minion like me. And she had a sophisticated polish. Not to mention a killer body.

How could I compete with her?

Then shock blossomed through me. What had I been thinking? Had I really started to think there might be something between him and me? That what we had might turn into something more than just fucking in the office?

Mr. Elliott could have a woman like that any time he wanted. I had missed him terribly while he’d been away, dying to see him again… to be with him again… but he probably hadn’t even thought about me once.

I was just an office convenience for him. A stress release. Sure, he was attracted to me, but that didn’t mean this could ever lead to anything more than office sex.

When had I started to think it could be more?

  “Bella?”

I jerked around to see Mr. Elliott staring at me from his office door.

  “Come in.”

My heart started to pound as I stood up. It didn’t matter that it wouldn’t lead anywhere. That I was just a quick lay for him. I wanted to be with him.

I needed to be with him.

I followed him into the office in a daze. He closed the door behind me.

“I’m sorry we don’t have more time but…” He glanced at his watch. “Fuck, I can’t keep Mr. Garner waiting and he usually arrives early.”

Mr. Garner was a lawyer from EcoGoGreen Industries and I knew Mr. Elliott had been in some deep discussions with their CEO, Hammond Smith. There were rumblings around the office about a possible merger between the two companies, but some thought it would be just a temporary partnership for a specific project.

He stepped close, and the heat of his body nearly melted me on the spot. When his hands cupped my shoulders and I gazed into his steel blue eyes, the desire blazing there almost knocked me to my knees.

  “God I missed you.”

“You did?” My heart pounded faster.

His lips turned up in a half smile. “Of course. Didn’t you miss me?”

I just nodded, barely able to speak.

His head tipped down and his mouth consumed mine. His tongue slipped between my lips and burrowed deep as he pressed his hand to the small of my back and pulled me tight to him.

I almost gasped at the feel of his cock—hard and throbbing—pressed tight against me.

“Does that leave you with any doubt?” he murmured in my ear, sending the hairs along my neck quivering to attention.

Whether he meant the kiss or the condition of his swollen cock, I wasn’t sure. But clearly he wanted me.

He took my hand and pressed it to his erection.

“See what you do to me?” He squeezed my fingers around his cock and I took the cue and stroked him. He groaned. “I’ve been like that the whole time I’ve been away from you.”

He nuzzled my neck and I lovingly caressed his thick member.

“I could hardly think straight.” He leaned his face against my temple, his breath dancing across my neck. “Nothing would alleviate it. You’ve become an obsession. And these non-stop meetings today are killing me.”

His words delighted me. I squeezed him tighter, then started to pull down his zipper. But his hand clamped over mine, stopping me.

“No,” he choked out. “We can’t. Not now.”

His cell chimed and I knew that indicated it was time for his next appointment. Mr. Garner was probably in the reception area now.

/>   “I want you to do something for me.”

  “Anything,” I said.

  *

I walked out of Mr. Elliott’s office, trying to breathe normally and appear the calm, collected personal assistant.

A man with straight, light brown hair combed back from his face, clean shaven and in a gray business suit, sat in one of the leather armchairs in the waiting area, looking impatient. He glanced my way.

“Mr. Garner?” I asked, walking toward him.

  “Yes.”

“I’m Mr. Elliott’s assistant. He’s waiting for you in his office.”

  “Very good. Thank you.”

As soon as Mr. Garner went into the office and closed the door, I strode to the ladies room around the corner. I slipped into a stall and slipped off my panties and put them into my jacket pocket. Then I hurried back to my office and retrieved a large brown envelope big enough for a document. I wrote Mr. Elliott’s name on the front and marked it urgent, then slipped the red and black lacy scrap from my pocket inside it and sealed it.

I stepped back into the reception area. Gina was sitting at her desk again.

“He’s in with his one o’clock,” Gina said as I headed to the door to Mr. Elliott’s office.

“I have to give him this. He wanted it right away.”

“I’ll give it to him then,” she said, standing up.

“No, he asked me to bring it in.” I knocked. When I heard him call from inside, I opened the door.

“I’m sorry to disturb you, Sir, but I know you were waiting for this.”

  “Yes. Come in.”

Mr. Elliott and his guest were sitting at the round table by the window.

“Sorry for the interruption, but this couldn’t wait,” he said to Mr, Garner, who gave a quick, polite nod.

Mr. Elliott stood up and walked to his desk as I strode across the office.

He faced the desk as I handed him the envelope, then he used a letter opener to slice the end of the envelope and peered inside.

The slow smile that crept across his face sent quivers fluttering through my stomach. He pulled the small panties from the envelope and closed his hand around them. His body blocked Mr. Garner’s view, though it didn’t really matter since the man was totally focussed on his phone display.
