The entire waiting room buzzed with happy anticipation. They all wanted to help welcome the Earl and Countess of Hollister’s baby into the world. Both of them were well-loved and respected in Montana.
So when the hubbub started, nobody knew what to make of it. For starters, it came from the entry of the waiting room and not from Labor and Delivery door. And then there was the fact that Harlow Fleming was the one doing all the frantic shouting.
“Is Merrie here?” he yelled.
The dumbfounded crowd shook their heads almost in unison. They looked at each other in question. Nobody knew the whereabouts of Hollister’s sister.
“I thought she was flying in to see the baby,” Gage said once he found his voice.
“She was. I mean we were,” the man said as he tried to catch his breath. “But we got separated at the airport. And then I couldn’t find her.”
“You think she’s on her way here?” asked Cerise.
“I don’t know,” Harlow said. “We landed and got off the plane. We got in the International Entries queue. I turned to look behind me, and when I turned back around she and Aja had disappeared.”

About The Author
I’m a forgiven Christian, a happy wife of 40 years, a proud mother of two grown children, and a Nana to two adorable little grandsons. Over the years God has been so, so good to me. I’ve been a busy public school teacher, a mediocre opera singer, a toe nail painting dog groomer, a bad caterer, and now it seems a hopeful writer. Because God has blessed me, I’ve been published in many genres- newspapers, magazines, blogs, books, and even screenwriting. One of my scripts, ‘Angel in the Aisles’, won a Silver Telly for excellence in cable broadcasting. Another, a modern day version of the Bible story of Esther, was produced into a full length movie entitled ‘For a Time Like This’. My novel Birdie Saves the World was in the top ten in an international Best Book Covers of 2014 competition. Several of my recent novels have been Amazon bestsellers in their category.
I continue to be amazed at what God can do with the very little I have to offer.
I’m hoping you enjoyed reading Hollister’s Choice. Writing it, I was struck by how our every choice makes a tremendous difference in our lives. Sometimes the most careless actions can be life-altering, can’t they? I’m thinking about the time I took my eyes off the road and wrecked our family car. All because I was distracted, thinking about a gift I was making for my precious mother. Thankfully only the car was hurt as a result of that poor choice on my part. God saved me that night. And He saved the life of the nice lady in the car I sideswiped. Without His grace and love, my life and hers would have been so very different.
I worked on a movie set once with a wonderful woman who is a quadriplegic. Her injury was caused by a simple fender bender when she was just fourteen. No one else in the car even got a scratch. But her life was changed forever. I’ll always consider her one of the most beautiful and inspiring people I’ve ever met. Thinking of my sweet friend, I’ll be forever thankful nobody involved in my own car wreck was hurt.
I see a strong theme of forgiveness and redemption running through Hollister’s Choice. I hope you see it too. God is so good, isn’t He? Sometimes during my morning devotions I just get choked up when I express my gratitude to Him. As I’m writing out my thanks in my Gratitude Journal, I’m not ashamed to say I cry from time to time. But they’re tears of real joy. The Lord has been my rock through so many trials in this life. I know you must feel the same way. So, I hope you’ll take the time to tell someone just how good He’s been to you. Who knows what might come of it? Maybe yours is just the story someone needs to hear.
Thanks so much for reading my novel. I hope it brought you peace, joy, and most of all love!

My very favorite Inspirational Romance Novel I’ve penned to date is ‘Birdie Saves The World’. Its characters are by far the most engaging I’ve written IMHO. I love Birdie O’Brien. She’s the sister-in-the-Lord every woman wants. And the hero Shiloh is completely swoon-worthy. If you like your Contemporaries with rich powerful men and innocent endearing women, this one is definitely for you. The Last Rose Pearl’, my Regency Inspirational Romance, is a longer read as well as one with elements of redemption and regeneration. It’s set in 1813 in Savannah, Ga. and in London, England. If you like this genre, you’ll enjoy going back to this elegant time period to live vicariously among the lords and ladies of that age. And the love story and adventure are especially compelling.
