“I love you too, Kayson.”
He picked her up out the water and held her tight for a few seconds, breathing in all her essence. Allowing her body to slide down his chest, once at his waist, she wrapped her legs around him. Kayson took her by the hips and slid up in her, releasing a slight moan. He lowered them both to the crystal sand and lay on top of her. Their bodies were half in the water and half out. Kayson stroked her effortlessly while waves washed up on his back. The mood was just right.
“Mmmmm . . . ssssss . . . You feel good, baby,” Kayson whispered in her ear.
KoKo stared into the star lit sky, taking in the whole scene. She closed her eyes as a tear ran down the side of her face and held on tight to his neck. “Kayson, you’re the best thing that has ever happened to me. I could be like this with you forever.”
With that, Kayson stroked and stroked until they were both satisfied. When they got back to the house, KoKo was quiet and thinking she and Kayson had been sexual in so many ways in so many places, but tonight was different. She was feeling things for him that she had never felt.
“Why you so quiet?” Kayson interrupted her thoughts.
“I’m seeing sides of you that I am falling in love with.”
“Is that right? Well, let’s take a shower so I can show you another side of me.”
“I have a feeling that you are going to do something to me,” KoKo said with great suspicion.
“Don’t get scared now.” Kayson chuckled.
Chapter 25
When KoKo opened her eyes, Kayson was sitting next to her completely dressed and smiling. A brief silence passed. He broke it with “Marry me.”
KoKo’s eyes widened as she sat straight up. “Are you serious?”
“Yes. You my world, KoKo. A nigga can’t wake up to the idea of not having you in my life.” KoKo rubbed the side of his face. He turned slightly and kissed her palm.
“You are the only one who can make a bitch cry.” She chuckled, wiping away a single tear that ran down the side of her face.
“You didn’t answer me,” he said, maintaining eye contact.
“I have been your wife from the day you first laid your hands on me. The only thing left is the paperwork.” She got quiet then she said, “Baby, of course I'll marry you. I believe that our souls have been dancing together since the beginning of time.”
“I love you and thank you for letting me love you.”
Kayson hugged her tight then reached in his pocket and pulled out a ring that looked like it cost a million dollars and in actuality, it did. He placed it on her finger; it was beautiful. She turned it back and forth and watched it shimmer. KoKo hugged him tight then broke their embraces to kiss his lips. She smiled, glancing at her ring again.
He stood and pulled her to her feet and again hugged her tight. “I'm going out to take care of some things. Someone will be here to pick you up in the morning to help you get ready.” The moonlight shined on them through the big bay window, accompanied by the breeze coming off the water. Kayson was the happiest man in the world.
The next morning, KoKo called Kayson’s phone. “You are really taking this not seeing the bride before the wedding stuff serious.”
“Good morning beautiful.”
“I missed waking up to you this morning,” KoKo said in her naughty voice.
“Is that right?”
“Yes. I woke up wanting to be a bad girl, but I had to do it solo.”
“Oh shit. That’s a good thing. You know I like it real hot and real wet.”
“I can’t wait to see you.”
“Well, go ahead and get ready. The day is all about you and tonight is about the Boss. Love you.”
“Love you, too.”
KoKo sat eating the fruit and yogurt set out for her along with the freshly squeezed orange juice. Then she showered. This day, she wore her hair out long and curly, and threw on a strapless sundress. Grabbing the black card Kayson left for her, she then heard the bell ring as she applied her lip-gloss and headed to the door. Once in the car, she sat enjoying the breeze and scenery. The two assistants he hired took her for a full body massage, mani and pedi. Then she was off to get her hair done and pick out a dress. She was out all day and was exhausted.
Late that afternoon, KoKo walked into her room, hung up the dress, and laid out the shoes and bra, figuring she’d better not wear panties. Because knowing Kayson she wasn’t going to need them. At six p.m. KoKo decided to take a nap until it was time to get dressed. Kayson called around 8 p.m. and woke her up. The phone rang four times then she answered, “Hello.”
“The driver will be there at 9:30.”
“Where are you?” she said in a sleepy tone.
“Waiting to make you my wife. Be ready.”
“I can’t wait to see you.”
“Me too. Let me finish getting things together. I'll see you in a minute.”
KoKo rose up and stretched, looking over at her dress. She showered and oiled her skin, putting some glaze on her shoulders, arms, and legs. She put on her robe then fixed her hair and poured herself a glass of wine and tried to relax.
At 9 p.m., she heard the maid knock on the door to help her get dressed. Fully dressed and skin scented with Marc Jacob, she looked flawless. KoKo slid that rock on her finger, which made everything real. She felt so tickled inside she couldn’t stop grinning. Taking one last look in the mirror, she headed to the living room.
On a Mission
Kayson sat behind the Maybach looking out the window at the night sky as his bodyguard headed to their destination. When they pulled up to the remote location on the island and the car came to a stop, he got his mind ready for his mission at hand. Kayson exited the car and walked to the driver side window. “I will be out in thirty minutes.” he said.
“A’ight, handle your business,” the deep voice replied.
Kayson walked up the driveway and rang the bell. The door opened and he was greeted by Dominique. She wore a pair of tight red boy shorts and a tank top. She appeared to have just showered. When she saw Kayson, her nipples hardened and she smiled.
Kayson had gone to the island for more than pleasure, he had a contract to fullfil and Dominique was keeping the nigga occupied for him while he set him up for his demise. Dominique was just happy that Kayson was talking to her, so she decided to take advantage of her invitation to his island.
“I didn’t think you would be able to break away from your little girlfriend.”
“I’m not here to talk about KoKo, you said you had something to tell me, so start talking,” Kayson said, walking past her.
Dominique shut the door and followed him to the living room. Kayson went to his favorite seat and she sat Indian style next to him. “I missed you.”
“Is that right?”
“Yes, that’s right. Don’t play. You know how I feel about you,” she said, staring at him like she wanted to jump on him.
Kayson looked her up and down. He had to admit she looked good and that her pussy print in those shorts was looking sweet, but the memory of their last meeting still had him vexed at her. “Tell me what’s on your mind. I got shit to do.”
“Look, I don’t want to fight with you anymore. I love you and I know that the feelings you had for me didn’t just disappear. I want another chance.”
Kayson sat there thinking, is this bitch crazy? “Is that what you called me all the way over here for?”
“Kayson, I’m not going to let you just throw away all the years we shared,” she said as she started to rub up and down his leg moving toward that steel. Kayson grabbed her hand.
“Don’t play yourself. Al said you had some info for me. That’s all I want.”
“You’re serious?” she said with shock and disappointment.
Kayson rose to his feet. “From now on, deal with Al or Wise, don’t reach out to me. As a matter of fact, this is your last job.” He then walked to the door.
Dominique ran to the door and stood in front of it. “Kayson
, please don’t leave like this,” she said with her arm extended to stop his movement. “Just give me another chance.”
“You had all the chances I’m willing to give you. Move.”
“I guess playing house with that little bitch got you all soft.” She flipped the script.
Kayson took a deep breath trying to keep his composure. “If you don’t get the fuck out the way, you are going to regret the day you met me,” he said with evil in his eyes.
“I already regret the day I met you. You fucked up my life.” She was yelling and semi hyperventilating.
“How the fuck did I fuck up your life? Your black ass betrayed me,” he said, pounding on his chest. She had hit that button and there was no turning back.
“You know what? Fuck you. You are so hateful.”
“I’m hateful?” Kayson yelled. “You killed my fucking baby. And I’m hateful?”
“How many people have you murdered?” She spit back.
Kayson chuckled. “Bitch, you crazy. Get the fuck out the way.”
“I’m sorry, Kayson. I was confused.” She started to cry.
“I asked you . . . No, correction—I fucking begged you not to kill my seed. What the fuck was there to be confused about?”
“What security did I have? You were on your way to the prison or the grave.”
“I’m not having this conversation with you. Get. The fuck. Out. My. Way.”
She put her hand up to his chest. “Please let me make it up to you. Please.” She was now crying hysterically. Kayson stood there looking at her with pure disgust, heavily breathing in and out. All the hurt and pain he felt when he got knocked in Vegas came rushing back. He went out there to expand and someone snitched and he ended up spending almost three months getting released. When he finally called home, Dominique told him she killed his baby. Immediately, evil thoughts flashed through his mind accompanied by the fact that it was her who he was with the night his uncle got murdered; he never forgave himself for that.
“You want to make it up to me?” he asked in a sinister voice.
“Yes please. I’ll do anything.” She was desperate.
Kayson unzipped his pants, grabbed a condom from his pocket, and slid it on. “Get on your knees,” he said.
Wanting to have any way back in, she lowered herself and took him in her hands. She began to lick and kiss the head and took him in her mouth. Closing her eyes, she went to work. Kayson stood over her watching her actually enjoying herself. Once she was totally distracted, he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a piece of fishing wire. The thought of taking this bitch’s life for her betrayal made his dick harder. Dominique felt him swell in her mouth and sucked harder. She heard a hiss slip from his lips and took him to the back of her throat. Just as he released, she pulled back. Kayson slipped the line around her neck and proceeded to choke the shit out of her. Dominique struggled for air, grabbing at the wire but to no avail. All the hatred he had for her pulled on both ends of the wire. When she stopped struggling, he pulled hard a few more times just to make sure she was dead. He dropped her to the floor and pulled off the condom. Grabbing a small Ziploc bag from his waistband, Kayson put the condom he had in the bag and pushed it in his front pocket straightened his clothes then headed for the back door. He grabbed a hand towel, opened it and left out. A grimey bitch ain’t good for shit but a mouth full of dick or death.
Chapter 26
Ready for Love
At 9:30 p.m. sharp, the chauffeur knocked at the door. KoKo answered and the gentleman’s eyes told it all. He looked at her like she was a goddess.
“Your king awaits, Madam,” he said in his island accent. He put out his elbow and she placed her hand on it and was led to a black Maybach. The ride to the destination was thirty-five minutes and as they approached, she began fiddling with her dress and hair. They pulled up to a gate that opened with a code then proceeded up a long winding road that ended at a large place on a cliff. Breathtaking. Once they parked, the driver opened her door and walked her to the entrance. She was met by two island women. “Come this way, please.” They handed her a bouquet of flowers and took her by each arm.
Pink and white rose petals were at her feet, which cushioned her walk down the long hallway. Two large glass doors were at the end of the hallway. Each woman grabbed a handle and opened it wide. KoKo choked up at a view of the patio. Large white glass candles and flowers were everywhere. On each side of the walkway were black marble ponds with lilies floating in them. At the end, Kayson stood in a white gazebo dressed in an all-white two-piece linen Esi Miaki suit smiling from ear to ear. Standing across from him was a man holding a flute. As KoKo approached him, she heard Mariah Carey's song playing.
I’d give my all to have just one more night with you, I'd risk my life to feel your body next to mine . . .
As she got closer, her eyes started to water. The moon appeared to be sitting right on top of the gazebo and she could hear the waves crashing against the rocks below. When she reached Kayson, the music faded. He walked down and assisted her up the two steps. They stood there looking at each other as the Imam and the witness walked up to officiate the ceremony. A man with a flute began playing “I am Ready for Love” by India Arie. KoKo could hear it in her head.
I am ready for love, why are you hiding from me? I'd quickly give my freedom, to be held in your captivity.
Kayson mouthed, “I love you.”
KoKo mouthed, “I love you more.”
The minister began the ceremony then asked each of them did they have anything to say to each other. KoKo went first.
“You came into my life and changed my world. Life without you is not an option. I want to continue to learn and grow with you. Take this sacred part of me and fill it with your love and in return, I will do the same.”
Kayson smiled and brushed away her tears. He took a minute and embodied her words.
As the flute continued to play, Kayson took a deep breath. “You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You showed me that love can be pure and that it doesn’t hurt. If you can continue to love me and be patient, I'm going to give you the world.”
“By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss your bride.”
Kayson took KoKo by her face as she stared into his eyes, tears and all. Then he placed the first kiss softly and accurately on her lips. He also kissed the tears running down her face. Their lips met again and he kissed her with such passion and emotion. KoKo was so overtaken by the exchange, she felt as if she were floating. When his lips broke from hers and he saw his wife’s eyes closed and at the same time tears streamed from the corners, he smiled and held her in his arms. The sound of light applause and emotion from the small crowd privy to witness their union filled the area. But to KoKo and Kayson they were the only two on earth.
They were interrupted by a woman who brought them two glasses of champagne. They toasted to their newfound bond. “Here's to taking over the world,” Kayson said.
“Indeed,” KoKo added.
The newlyweds were then taken to a room below for a candle light dinner. Walking onto a balcony, they saw the table decorated with petite clear glass vases with floating candles and two small plates of fruit cut in various shapes. They were seated and brought a bottle of wine and two glasses. They gazed out at the ocean. Kayson grabbed her hand.
“I can’t believe I'm your wife,” she said.
“Is that a good thing?” he asked.
“It’s a great thing.” She leaned in and kissed him.
“Keep that up and we’re going to miss dinner,” he said, going into fuck mode.
“You are so freaky.” She looked at him, giving him her ‘take it’ vibe.
Just then, one of the chefs came in with their meal, fresh salmon with a side of yellow rice and steamed asparagus with butter sauce.
“You betta be glad my ribs are touching or I’d be rearranging your organs.”
“That's what your mouth say.”
>
“We’ll see about all that tough talk.” He bit into his salmon.
KoKo giggled then followed suit.
After about forty minutes, the chef came back and cleared the plates. He gave them a rinse bowl to wash their hands and mouth and some mint leaf. Kayson took KoKo by the hand, sat her on his lap, and put his arms around her and began kissing and nibbling on her shoulder. KoKo put her arms around his neck and began kissing him. “I think we better get going because Mrs. Kitty is beginning to purr,” she said.
