She straightened his bow tie. “I like the sound of that.”
“What do you suggest we do about our wedding?”
She tilted her head sideways. “I can go to Queensland ahead of you. You can tie up all the loose ends here, make sure Sean is settled, and I can come back to Sydney for our wedding.”
“You think you can organize everything from Queensland?”
She nodded. “Laura can help when she returns from her honeymoon.”
“I guess she’s now the wedding expert.”
“I trust Laura to do a good job. She’s reliable and she’ll love being my matron of honor.”
“Greg can help out, too. He’ll have a few best man duties to fulfill.”
She grinned. “I’m starting to like the idea of a smaller, more intimate wedding.”
“You are?” He brushed his lips over hers, sneaking a kiss. His eyes twinkled. “I want us to enjoy our wedding. It should be a special day that we’ll remember and cherish for the rest of our lives.”
“It’ll be easier to organize at short notice. In fact, I’ve already chosen a dress. I tried it on when I went wedding dress shopping with Laura.”
“You wanted to marry me back then?”
She laughed. “It wasn’t my idea. The designer talked me into trying it on. She said it was made for me.”
“I can’t wait to see you wearing it.”
“I fell in love with the dress, and I’d hoped to wear it one day as your bride.”
He hugged her close to his side. “That day will be coming very soon. Now I have a surprise for you.”
She lifted her brow. “What is it?”
He shook his head. “Remember how I was telling you about the organization that helps families with loved ones struggling with addictions?”
“Yes, they do a lot of great work in the community.”
“Well, I’m financing a new program to help families in regional and remote areas who don’t have easy access to resources.”
Tears formed in her eyes. “Ryan, that’s fantastic. It means so much to me that you’re supporting those families.”
He nodded. “You mean the world to me, and what’s important to you is important to me. Besides, I can see that the program Sean’s doing is really helping him.”
“I’m proud of him, and the progress he’s making.”
“He could always move to Queensland with us. There’s an excellent surf beach near the resort.”
“Sean would like that.” She blinked away the tears, and her heart swelled. “I feel blessed that God has brought us together. I’m looking forward to our wedding day.”
Ryan grinned. “You’ll be the most beautiful bride ever.”
She couldn’t wait to marry her tycoon hero.
