She drove around in the rain for the next thirty minutes fighting her urges. She needed someone desperately bad to tame her fire. She blew out a stressful breath of air. “Damn,” she whispered. Being good to Chase was now biting her in the ass. The only thing that half way stopped her from fucking somebody else was the high respect that he held for her and especially since she was Mason’s mother. It was something about Chase’s opinion that mattered to her. He was the first man that treated her like somebody and that was the only thing that kept her somewhat in line.

She parked the car while watching the rain dance freely on the windshield. She wanted to run for it, but she wasn’t sure of how it would turn out once she made it to the door of her destination. The rain began to pour harder and harder making her decision of getting out even worse. “Damn,” she whispered as she glanced in the rearview mirror noticing that she still had her wig and contacts on. She quickly removed the wig. Her hair was already slicked back in a ball at the nape of her neck. One by one, she removed her contacts, and then without hesitation she jumped out of the car and ran for the front door of the house in the pouring rain.

Once up to the door, she stuck her house key in and…

“Hey,” Chase called out as he rounded the corner of the Foyer. His wet foot prints on the hard wood floor trailed with each step he took. The doorknob turned as the front door opened. “Brooke, is that you?”

Brooke pushed the door on open and stared at him as the water dripped off of her body. Chase stood there wrapped in a white towel. Water also dripping off of his body. For a moment, they gazed at each other; neither saying nothing to the other. Finally, unable to resist it anymore, Brooke ran over to him and jumped in his arms. Chase was completely caught off guard as she passionatley kissed him in the mouth. Instantly his dick hardened.

  Damn, he thought.

  Chapter 11

Brooke was kissing Chase like a mad woman and before he knew what was happening; she had snatched the towel from around his waist.

“Whoa, whoa, whoaaaa,” he said trying to back her up.

“Make love to me, baby. I need you.” She desperately begged.

Chase found himself gripping her butt cheeks tightly while carrying her down the hallway to their bedroom. He laid her on the bed while still kissing her.

Chase’s hands roamed over her body. He grabbed a handful of her left breast through her dress and gave it a tight squeeze. With one flick of the wrist, he tore off her thongs and threw them over his shoulder. Taking two of his fingers, he inserted them into her warm, juicy pussy. He moved his fingers in and out of her at a rapid speed.

“Ssshhhh,” Brooke hissed. It was an amazing feeling to her. “Aaaaah,” she moaned as Chase continued to tease her. She was soaking wet and it felt like she had an inferno between her legs. She was so horny that it was a damn shame. All she wanted was to feel Chase inside of her. Her hands traveled down his chest until she found her way to his semi-hard tool. She gripped it in her hand and massaged it up and down.

“Fuck,” Chase moaned as his dick hardened from just her touch. The liquor that he’d been drinking was still in his system. He was horny and just ready to fuck. He was ready to feel her tight walls and beat her shit up. He continued to toy with Brooke’s love button while kissing her on the side of her neck. All of a sudden he stopped himself as he looked at her like, who is this woman?

“Come on baby, stop playing.” Brooke moaned out as Chase continued to just stare at her. By now her juices were flowing out of her at full force. She was cumin’ just from his touch alone. “Chaaaase,” She moaned.

Chase closed his eyes. For some reason his thoughts reflected on Rayne and how disappointed she was in him the last time that he’d slept with Brooke. “Damn,” he whispered while realizing that he couldn’t do it. He took a deep breath and exhaled. It took all of his energy to not just stick his dick inside of her and fuck her. Without further hesitation, he quickly rolled off of her, and then stood up.

“What are you doing?” Brooke questioned while staring at him like he was crazy.

“I can’t do this Brooke,” he responded while shaking his head.

“You can’t do what?” Brooke asked in a confused tone as she tried to grasp what had just happened. One minute she was about to make love to Chase, and then the next thing she knew he was standing in front of her talking all crazy.

“I can’t do this or whatever the fuck we’re doing. I just can’t do this anymore,” Chase told her as he paced the floor in the buff. He stopped and turned towards Brooke. She looked beautiful sitting there almost naked with a confused look on her face. The sight of sexy body turned him on even more, but he had to force himself to think with his big head and not his little one. He knew sleeping with Brooke would only make it even harder to leave her. “We need to talk about us and where things are going from here.”

Brooke crossed her arms. “We can talk about that later, Chase. All I want to do is fuck right now.”

Chase shook his head. “No,” he spoke in an irritated tone. “I’m serious, Brooke. I need to go ahead and get what I need to say off of my chest.” He said as he walked over to the dresser. He opened up the dresser drawer, and then pulled out a pair of boxer briefs and threw them on before looking back over at her again.

“Okay,” Brooke responded. She pulled the straps of her dress back over her shoulders as she waited to hear what he had to say. Whatever Chase needed to say she was going to let him; although she had the feeling that it wasn’t going to be good. “Start talking,” she spoke.

Chase took a deep breath before responding. “Well, we both know that this relationship is not working. I think it is time for us to call it quits.”

Brooke just stared at him for a moment while his words replayed over and over in her head. One minute he was about to fuck the soul out of her and now the next minute he’s calling it off, straight up… no chaser. She heard what he said, but it was like her mind was refusing to accept it. As it finally hit her, the tears started to fall from her eyes. “So you’re leaving me? You don’t love me anymore?” She questioned just above a whisper.

“That’s not it.” Chase responded feeling horrible that he was the reason for her crying. He walked over to her and took a seat beside her on the bed. “I do love you, Brooke. I’m just not in love with you anymore and I think you know that.”

“If you love me you would not be hurting me right now,” Brooke said getting choked up with her tears. She couldn’t believe this was happening again. Chase was breaking her heart just like Q had done. She had put her all in this relationship for him to only turn around and tear it apart. At that moment, she felt like he was no different than Q. “How can you just walk out on me and Mason like this?” She cried.

“I’m not doing that. I’m not walking out on you or Mason.” Chase responded. “I love my son and I will always look out for you, because you are his mother.”

Brooke rolled her eyes. “That’s bullshit, Chase. You’re walking out on us.” She paused as she thought about something. “Is it because of Rayne?” She questioned.

“She has nothing to do with this.” Chase responded with a shake of the head.

Brooke stared at Chase with menacing eyes. “That bitch got a lot do with this.” She snarled as she jumped up from the bed. “We were just fine until she came into the picture. You started working with that bitch and now we’re having all of these problems.”

“We weren’t fine Brooke and you know that. Our problems started way before I even met Rayne.” Chase snapped. “I can’t deal with your insecurities. I can’t deal with all the fights over stupid stuff. I can’t deal with the threats. I can’t deal with you showing up acting a fool for no damn reason. I can’t deal with you always thinking that I’m cheating. All that shit I can’t deal with anymore. You tore this relationship apart not Rayne.”

“Oh, don’t blame all that shit on me. You gave me a lot of reasons to act like that.” Brooke said as she shook her finger
at Chase. “Don’t act like you’re mister perfect, because you are far from it.”

“I never said that I was perfect. I might’ve cheated, but I have been trying my best to prove to you that I had changed.”

Brooke's eyes widened. “You’re admitting it now? So, you’re admitting that you cheated?” She questioned as she sat there looking pitifully mad.

Chase thought about what he’d just let slip. He never confessed about his cheating in the past, but he decided to go ahead and do it now. He might as well be truthful and lay it all on the line. “Yes, I have cheated on you before, but that was a couple of years back.” He admitted.

“I knew it,” Brooke said with a sad shake of the head. “And now you’re cheating on me again with Rayne.”

“No Brooke,” Chase responded. “Despite what you think I have not cheated on you with Rayne.”

“I don’t believe it,” Brooke blurted out. “I know you think I’m dumb, but I’m far from it. You think I don’t see the chemistry between you and that girl. You can’t sit here and tell me that you haven’t been with her sexually, because I know different.”

“Well, I don’t care what you believe right now, because I know what the truth is.” Chase sighed out of frustration. “Besides it doesn’t have nothing to do with the fact that we’re over. You said yourself that I don’t look at you the same. It’s just best that we go our separate ways.”

“We are not over Chase unless I say so,” Brooke screamed. “We got a son to raise together and I’m not going to allow you to walk out on us like this.” She hollered with pain in her voice and tears over-runneth.

Chase stood up and pulled her in his arms to comfort her. “I’m sorry things got to be like this, but it’s for the best.” He whispered into her hair.

“Get away from me,” Brooke screamed pushing him away from her. Her emotions were all over the place and she didn’t know how to feel at that moment. She rushed around the room and grabbed one of his shirts that was in the laundry basket. “Get out! Just leave you bastard!” She hollered while throwing the shirt at him.

Chase caught the shirt in mid-air and put it on. He didn’t really want to leave her in the state that she was in, but he felt it was the best thing to do for now. He walked over to the closet and grabbed his black duffle bag. He slipped on a pair of jeans, and then started to pack a couple of things to take with him.

Brooke stood back watching him with never ending tears streaming down her face. She still couldn’t believe that he was actually leaving her. Of course she had told him in the note that she was willing to walk away, but she didn’t exactly mean it. She actually was hoping that once he read about how Q had hurt her that he wouldn’t want to do the same thing. She actually thought that he would want to be with her even more. Unfortunately, her plan had backfired. He was still leaving her.

“Chase, please don’t leave me.” She pleaded. She ran over to where he was now getting some more of his stuff out of the dresser drawer.

“I’m sorry, Brooke, but it’s for the best,” Chase repeated as he continued to pack his bag with clothes. He then headed into the bathroom to get his toothbrush and a couple of other things.

“Please baby, please.” Brooke cried as she followed him into the bathroom. She grabbed his arm attempting to stop him. “Please, don’t leave me. We can make this work. Anything you ask me to do, I will do it. Just don’t leave me.”

Chase turned around to face her. “I’m sorry, Brooke. I’m sorry to hurt you, but we just can’t be together anymore.” He said wiping the tears from her face. “I will always have love for you. You gave me a son and you were there for me when I needed you the most. I will forever be grateful to you for that, but like I said, this is for the best.” He kissed her on the forehead, and then walked out of the bathroom.

Brooke still wasn’t having it though. She wasn’t going down without a fight. “If you leave me Chase, I will take Mason and go back to California.” She screamed out.

Chase paused at the entrance of the bedroom and sat the duffle bag down. “What?” He questioned looking at her with disbelief.

“You heard me,” Brooke said looking at him with a crazy look in her eyes. “I will take Mason to California and you will never get to see him again. I will personally make sure of that.” She shot at him feeling like she had one up on him.

Chase didn’t respond at first. He just stared at her. After a moment, he laughed while shaking his head. There she goes.” He thought. He knew it was coming. She wouldn’t be Brooke if she didn’t try to pull something like this. “You would only be hurting Mason if you kept him from me.” He responded.

“No, I won't be hurting Mason. You are!” Brooke screamed. “You’re the one breaking our family apart, not me.” She said while pointing at her chest.

“I’m sorry that you feel that way, Brooke. I never meant to hurt you,” Chase said. “We can still raise Mason together. There’s no need for you to try to take him from me.”

“Fuck that bullshit!” Brooke screamed. “Unless you stay, I’m taking him.”

“See, that’s what I’m talking about.” Chase snapped. “Your ass is fucking selfish. You’re willing to keep my son away from me all because I don’t want to be with your ass anymore. Shit like that is why our relationship fell apart in the first place.” He shook his head at her again before bending down and picking up the duffle bag. “Do what you want, but remember you’re the one that have to look in our son’s eyes every day knowing that you’re keeping him from his daddy.” He added before walking out the door and down the hallway.

Brooke took off running behind him. She dropped down on her knees and grabbed his left leg. “Okay, okay, I won’t take him.” She said after figuring out that using Mason this time wasn’t going to work. “Just please, don’t leave me.” She cried.

“Get up Brooke, you’re making this harder than what it should be,” Chase said trying to shake her off of his leg, but she had a firm hold on it. He finally bent down and grabbed her by the arm to pull her up to her feet. “Quit doing this to yourself.” He said, and then scanned the area looking for his keys.

While he was trying to find his keys, Brooke ran over to the front door. She stood in front of it with her arms spread out. She was determined to not let him walk out of that door. Chase found his keys and headed towards the door. “Move out the way, Brooke.” He said when he saw that she was standing in front of it.

Brooke shook her head. “Please don’t do this to me.” She pleaded with saddened eyes.

Chase sighed then walked over to her. He slowly moved her out of the way. It was still raining outside so he had to make a dash for his car. Once he got in it, he threw his duffle bag on the passenger side seat and looked towards the house. He could still see Brooke standing in the doorway looking at his car. He sadly shook his head before starting up the engine and backing out of the driveway.

Reality hit Brooke as she watched Chase’s car disappear down the road. “Chase come back!” She screamed out like he could actually hear her. Once she realized that he wasn’t coming back, she slammed the door shut. The hurt from her emotions took over and she slid down to the floor. She cried out in pain like a wounded animal. “He left me!” She screamed. “He actually left me.” She cried with her arms wrapped around her waist. What am I going to do now?

Chase drove around Atlanta with his thoughts all over the place. He truly felt horrible. Seeing Brooke reacting the way she did had him a little shaken up. He wanted to turn back around and go back to check on her. But, he knew if he did that he might not be able to leave again. He didn’t know where to go next. He had to decide if he wanted to go to Jeremy’s house or a hotel. He thought about Rayne’s place, but he didn’t want to bother her. He finally decided on Jeremy’s house.

About ten minutes later, Chase pulled up to Jeremy’s place. He made another dash to the door since the rain was still coming down. He knocked on the door and waited for Jeremy to answer. A m
inute later, his cousin was opening the door.

“Cuz, what’s up man?” Jeremy pondered in a surprised tone.

“Sorry man for coming by so late, but do you mind if I get in a few nights here?” Chase asked him.

“You know I don’t mind.” Jeremy responded while moving out the way so Chase could come in. He looked out the door like he was expecting to see someone else before closing it.

“You got company coming over or something?” Chase asked him after noticing how Jeremy was looking.

“Naw man, I was just checking out the rain.” Jeremy responded while taking out his cell phone from his pocket. As Chase made his way over to the sofa to sit down, he discreetly text messaged Toya telling her that it wasn’t a good time to come over. He then placed his phone back in his pocket and looked over at Chase. “Man, you look like shit. What the hell is wrong with you?” He questioned while observing his cousin’s unruly appearance.

“Man you don’t know the half.” Chase responded. He ran his hand over his head and let out a sigh.

“Well, speak man. What happened?” Jeremy questioned as he took a seat across from Chase.

“You know that Brooke has been gone for a week after calling herself leaving me.” Chase said then paused. Jeremy nodded his head while waiting to hear more. “Well, tonight she came back.”

“For real,” Jeremy said then shook his head. “That’s not surprising. I figured that she wasn’t going to stay gone for too long.”

“I didn’t know what to think since she had never left me like that,” Chase said almost feeling confused. “But anyway, she returned home right after I’d gotten out of the shower. I was caught off guard by seeing her and for a moment all we did was stare at each other. Then she ran in jumped in my arms and kissed me.”

“Maaaaaaaannn,” Jeremy dragged. “Please tell me you didn’t sleep with her again.” He said giving Chase the side eye.
