As I walked around to the driver’s side, I took several deep breaths and let them back out slowly. Calm down, Dax.

“So, everything went well with the Congresswoman and her husband’s arrival?” I asked. Though I was the one helping Oakley with most of the arrangements, Brad was our official ambassador, so to speak, and he’d received the Stones with her.

“Yes, it went wonderfully. They were really happy with what they’ve seen so far,” Oakley answered happily.

“Well they should be. You’ve done an amazing job.”

We drove to my cabin, and once inside, I asked if Oakley wanted a beer.

  “Sure,” she said. “Sounds great.”

I popped the cap on two beers and carried them to my office. I retrieved the article and pulled up a second chair for Oakley. We sat side by side, sipping our beers and reading my article. I watched her read it. I wanted nothing but to grab her and kiss her sweet lips. But I maintained my composure and kept my hands to myself.

“This is really good. I’m impressed,” Oakley smiled at me.

“Really?” I asked. I already knew it was good, but her praise still meant a lot to me.

“I can’t believe you can write like this,” she added, looking at my arm.

I glanced down to see what she was looking at and didn’t see anything. “What do you mean?” I asked out of curiosity.

“Because I don’t know too many tough guys who like to write. It seems like a nerdier kind of profession,” she said, smiling softly. I raised an eyebrow at her, and she laughed. “I didn’t mean to offend you.”

  “You didn’t.”

  “Good.”

“So you think I’m a tough guy, eh?” I joked.

“Not like that. I just mean you’re muscular and strong.”

I chuckled. “I know what you meant. I got caught up in this IT stuff and social media and advertisement just seemed like the next logical step.”

“I get it,” Oakley agreed, nodding. “And you’re really good at it. So, what kind of advertising do you do?”

  “Thanks. Let me show you.”

I pulled up a recent commercial I’d made for the resort. Lindsay had helped me by taking the video, then I’d transformed it into an actual commercial.

“This one got picked up by NBC’s affiliates. Played locally mostly but was advertised in several key areas.” I clicked play, and we watched it for its thirty-second duration.

“Wow! That’s awesome. How did you do that?” she asked me. “Looks professional.”

“That’s what I am; a self-taught professional,” I bragged, grinning at her. She grinned back. I leaned forward to click the mouse and our arms touched. I didn’t move away from her. I looked at her, and her sexy blue eyes found mine.

I held my breath and waited. I could feel my heart beating as if it was going to explode in my chest. Eyes locked, she reached for my arm and pulled me to her. I didn’t resist. She pulled my lips to meet hers. At first, I hesitated, to be sure this was what she wanted. Our lips barely touching, I felt her tremble.

I pushed my mouth against hers and kissed her. She opened her mouth slightly, and my tongue worked its way inside to find hers.

My dick instantly hardened, and I wanted her right that second.

  Oakley

I wanted him. The entire time I was sitting beside Dax, all I could think about was fucking him. When our eyes met, I took my chance and pulled him to me. I knew I was sending mixed messages, but I couldn’t seem to control myself when I was around him.

I wanted Dax to fuck me. A lot.

Dax’s lips pushed hard against my own, and his tongue slipped inside my mouth. He pushed harder, and I kissed him firmly. I groaned his name. “Dax.”

He lifted me from my chair and pulled me down on his lap. I touched his cheek, stroking his beard, then moved my fingers up to his long hair, feeling its softness. Eyes connected, I wrapped my arms around his muscular neck.

Dax reached up and caressed my cheek. “You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen,” he whispered. His eyes said it all; I knew he was speaking his truth.

I inhaled deeply as my pussy wettened. I ached for this man. Underneath me, his hard length pressed against my crotch.

I pulled at Dax’s shirt, and he lifted his arms to help. Seeing his rock-hard biceps reminded me of seeing him at the gym, and I moaned in anticipation of feeling this strong, sexy man inside me again.

I looked at him seductively and whispered, “You are the sexiest man alive.”

He gave me a suggestive grin, and my body ached for his touch. My pussy was throbbing in anticipation.

Dax moved his hands down to my waist and pulled off my shirt. I sat up and unhooked my bra, freeing my breasts for his eyes. My tits sprang out as I tossed the bra to the floor. He moaned as he massaged my breasts and fondled my nipples. I ground my mound against his hardness to let him know that I needed him. His dick grew even bigger, and Dax unbuckled his belt and unzipped his jeans to let it out.

I watched as his cock sprang to an upright position. It called to me and I wanted to taste it. I slid off his lap to a kneeling position and took his long, thick member into my mouth.

I glanced up. Dax’s eyes rolled into his head. “Oh my God Oakley, don’t stop,” he murmured, pushing his cock into my mouth. I sucked on it until I couldn't fit anymore without gagging.

Dax carefully lifted me from his member and stood to step out of his pants. He helped me to my feet and unbuttoned my jeans, pulling them and my panties down. I stood completely naked before him. He picked me up and carried me in his strong arms to his living room couch, where he laid me down and climbed on top of me.

I opened my legs to accept him, and he found my opening quickly. His girth surprised me yet again, and I cried out in ecstasy as he pushed deep within me. His first few thrusts were slow and measured, but soon, his pace increased. I locked my legs around his waist and enjoyed the ride. I cried out as his thick cock stroked my insides relentlessly. It felt amazing to be filled and fucked so thoroughly.

My pussy juices were flowing onto Dax and he groaned in delight. “Get on top of me,” he ordered.

He moved into a sitting position, and I straddled his lap, lowering my wet pussy onto his piercing dick. Holding his broad shoulders, I lowered my body slowly, enjoying his huge size.

Dax grabbed my ass to help me fuck him, and I was getting ready to explode. The sensation started slowly in my pussy and traveled up to my abdomen, getting stronger and more intense.

Dax was watching me intently. “Come.”

I stared into his eyes as my orgasm took over and my body shook with intense pleasure. Dax let me move on his cock as I wanted, making my orgasm even more powerful. I screamed out in delight.

Just as the last of the contractions were rolling through my body, I felt Dax’s cock pulsate inside me. He pushed upward quickly, and his body began to tremble under me. His breaths were short and fast as he pumped twice more before groaning loudly and going limp. I laid my head on his shoulder as he held me tight.

We remained connected for a few minutes before Dax lifted me from him. He sat me down beside him, kissed my head, and cradled my damp, naked body against his. Leaning back, he covered us both with a throw from the back of the couch and we fell asleep in front of the fireplace.

It was the best sleep that I’d had in years.

  Dax

We spent the night on the couch. I knew Oakley would want to be up early since the rest of the Stone family was arriving that day. She had an early morning meeting with the Congresswoman at nine.

I awoke before the sun came up and gently shook Oakley. “Hey beautiful, it’s time to wake up. Five a.m. I’m not sure what time you want to get up.”

Oakley stirred and slowly opened her eyes. She looked up at me and smiled. I pulled her to me and held her tightly. There was nothing more I wanted than to stay like this all day, but I knew that wasn’t a possibility.

I kissed her head and sh
e snuggled against me. “You smell so good,” she whispered.

I held her tight as she drifted back off to sleep for a moment. I gave her about fifteen minutes before shaking her softly again. “Oakley.”

She stirred and sat up, her expression grumpy. I got up to retrieve our clothes from my office. Coming back, I handed hers to her and asked her if she wanted a cup of coffee.

  “Yes, please,” she answered.

As Oakley dressed, I brewed a pot of coffee. “A quick breakfast?” I asked her. “I know you have a long day ahead of you. You should eat.”

“Alright. Thanks, Dax,” she replied as she straightened her clothes. “The couple of days right before the wedding are the worst. We’ve got so much to do today.”

“I know,” I sympathized. “Look, Oakley. I don’t want things to be weird between us. So I’ll give you your space. Just let me know what you need from me. Okay?”

I would do everything in my power to avoid a repeat of yesterday, even swallow my pride. I liked this woman…a lot.

Oakley gave me a sorrowful look before casting her eyes to the ground. “Dax, I’m sorry for the way I treated you yesterday. It was wrong of me to do that. And to call Brad and not you was just shitty.” She looked up, her eyes pleading. “I just thought that if I put some distance between us, it would be for the best. Because of the wedding and stuff.”

I was a little surprised that she apologized. “Thanks for telling me. And it’s okay. I totally understand.”

  “You do?” she asked.

“Yeah, I do. I’ll admit I was a little upset,” I said with a little chuckle. “But I know this is a big deal for you and you want everything to go off without a hitch.”

“I’m glad you called me last night. I wanted to call you but didn’t know what to say after the way I acted,” Oakley admitted.

“I’m glad I called you, too,” I told her and leaned over to give her a small kiss.

I filled our cups and made some quick eggs, bacon, and toast. After eating, I gave Oakley a ride to her cabin so she could get ready for the day. I noticed the Stones were settled in the first cabin as we passed it, which was still dark.

“See you after your meeting. Good luck,” I told her.

“Thanks, Dax. I’ll call you when it’s over.”

“I’ll be waiting,” I promised her.

I walked around to the passenger side and helped her down. Once she was inside the cabin, I headed back to my place to shower and schedule the article to be posted.

  * * *

I’d planned on waiting for Oakley to call, but it was past ten and she hadn’t called yet. Her meeting had been scheduled for nine and was probably still busy with it. I was getting restless, though.

Oakley’s meeting was at the lodge so Congresswoman Stone and her husband, Peter, could approve of what we’d done so far and to go over the final arrangements. I didn’t want to intrude on her meeting, so I decided to go down and see if Brad needed anything. I got into my truck and drove down to the resort.

As I parked in the front lot, another truck pulled up and parked next to mine. A young man I didn’t know got out as I did. I asked if I could help him with anything.

“Hey, man,” he greeted with a handsome smile. “Yeah, I’m Cooper Stone. Here for the wedding. I’m just arriving and didn’t know if I needed to check-in or what. My mother isn’t answering her phone.”

“Oh, okay. I’m Dax Hunter, one of the owners,” I introduced myself and held out my hand for a shake. Cooper accepted my handshake and I continued, “I think your parents are in a meeting with the wedding planner up at the ski lodge. You have your own cabin, right?”

  “I believe so,” Cooper replied.

“Come with me and I can grab you the key,” I told him, heading up the steps to the resort. I led Cooper to the front desk and asked Kelly which cabin he was in.

“Cooper Stone is in number two,” Kelly replied, handing over the key.

I gave him short directions to find the cabin and told him about meal hours and room service. I told him where the lodge was in case he wanted to find his way up there to meet his parents.

“No, I think I’m good to go. I’m going to get settled in and freshen up some. I’ll see what my parents want to do about lunch. Thanks, Dax.”

“No problem. There’s a list by the cabin’s door. A map with the trails and phone numbers, including the one for room service if you need anything,” I told him.

Cooper nodded another thanks as I turned to go find Brad. He wasn’t in his office, so I went through the double doors into the kitchen.

  “Hey, Mom. Seen Brad?”

“I’m here,” he yelled from the pantry.

“It’s going,” replied my mom. “This catering menu is a lot bigger than I first thought. We got the entire staff here working on it,” she informed me, motioning her arm around the kitchen.

“Wow, yeah, I see,” I said, nodding to Chef Michael. “Do you need any help?” I asked her.

My mom chuckled. “No, Dax. But thanks for offering. I thought you would be out helping Oakley with the rest of the decorations this morning.”

I grinned when she laughed at me for asking if she needed my help in the kitchen. We all knew cooking wasn't my strong suit. Even though I made a good breakfast this morning, if I did say so myself.

“Earth to Dax.” Brad waved his hand in front of my face.

My eyes came back into focus and I saw Brad grinning at me.

“Did you need me?” he asked.

“No, I was just checking in and seeing if you needed me. Or knew of something that needed to be done? I guess Oakley’s still with the Stones and I’m not sure what I should do.” “Yeah, I kinda figured it would be a long meeting. When the Stones came in last night, I had the honor of getting them settled in. They asked me about a million questions, many I was embarrassed I didn’t know the answer to,” Brad admitted with a frown.

“Well, I’m sure you explained to them that you’re the manager and have other people assigned to the wedding preparations, along with the wedding planner,” Mom defended.

“I tried,” Brad said, shaking his head. “They just kept asking, though. I’m sure they’re up at the lodge bombarding Oakley with questions.” He laughed and confessed, “I sent Harley to the meeting too.”

Harley was a people person, so I was sure he’d be fine. Still though, I was annoyed that I wasn’t the one at the lodge with Oakley.

My mom, intuitive as ever, read my expression easily. “What’s got you in a ruffle, son?”

“He’s in love,” Brad told my mom.

My draw dropped to the floor before I recovered. “I’m not in love,” I said defensively.

My mom looked from Brad to me and went back to chopping. A small smile formed on her lips. I was sure my face was bright red. I was completely embarrassed. I glared at Brad.

“I thought you had my back, man,” I whispered to him.

“Don’t worry about it so much, Dax. It happens to all of us,” he replied, still chuckling.

I shook my head and hoped the conversation would be dropped ASAP. My mom got the hint and didn’t say another word about Oakley.

“Seriously though, man. I need to be busy right now, so give me something to do,” I said to Brad.

“Help me carry these boxes out to the lounge in the dining room. I got the bar at the lodge stocked up last night and wanted to do the same down here. If it gets busy, the bartender won’t have to leave the guests to grab stock or supplies,” Brad told me.

“Okay,” I agreed and followed him to the pantry, which had a second door leading to behind the bar. We worked on re-stocking for the next hour. Oakley didn’t call.

Brad caught me checking my phone and he smiled. “I’m sure she’s fine.”

“I know. I didn’t imagine the meeting would take this long, though,” I confessed.

“You know these kinds of people like everything to be perfect. It’s going to be on TV and stuff,” Brad
reminded me. “Especially since they had that stupid reality show. They want to make sure they appease their fans and shit like that.”

I guessed he was right. What did I know about rich city people? Especially ones with TV shows. They were probably driving Oakley nuts.

But more time went by and I didn’t hear from her. It was almost lunchtime. Now, I was getting worried. Maybe she’d walked back to her cabin after the meeting and gotten lost on a trail or had fallen and hurt herself. I considered calling her, or maybe I should give Harley a call and see if he could tell me what was going on.

I was weighing my options when Hailey walked into the dining room with a big pile of papers in her hand. She didn’t look upset, just tired, so I figured everything was alright.

Hailey saw Brad and me and walked to us, setting the papers on the bar. “I’ll take a strong Bourbon please.”

Brad’s head turned so fast I thought he would have whiplash. I’m sure my eyes were just as wide.

Hailey chuckled, shaking her head. “Just kidding. Well, I’m not. But I’ll have to wait until later.”

“What’s going on up there?” we asked her in slightly different versions. We glanced at each other and smiled. We sounded like Brad’s twin sons when they talked.

“Oh, my,” she said, taken aback. “Well, the Stones wanted this and that changed. Nothing major. Mostly the after-party decorations. But it’s a good thing we didn’t start outside decorations yet either, or here in the dining room. They had a completely different idea from what Oakley and I had planned. Even though Oakley got the original ideas from the Congresswoman herself!” She stopped and took a deep breath.

Brad and I smiled at her and waited for her to continue. She sifted through the papers and handed Brad a few. “These are yours. There are some special drinks they want served and a few other things for you to consider. Maybe you can make sure the bartenders know how to make them?”

“No problem,” Brad told her, taking the paper from her.
