Damn this man was hot.
I opened my eyes, but it was so dark in the hut I could only perceive his silhouette. I realized I couldn't see what he was going to do next and my whole body filled with excitement.
“Close your eyes, a chuisle.”
Art whispered above me, and my heart flipped in my chest. These druids really knew how to swoon a girl with words. I had always loved when he called me beautiful, but his new endearments made me want to jump him every time he whispered them to me. A chuisle meant "my pulse." Which was literally saying I was his pulse, the force that ran through his veins and the reason his heart beat. Then there was the one that made my panties disappear. A rún mo chroí, which meant “the secret of my heart." Chewie said, that once he realized he loved me, he also understood the love he felt for me had always been there, hidden in his heart. A secret even from him. The best secret he could have ever uncovered.
“You are mine.”
He whispered, and his breath fanned my nipple. When the hell had he gotten there? I moaned, half gasping as he took it into his mouth and caressed it with his tongue. I was about to cradle his head to my breast and thoroughly enjoy his attention, when he disappeared again. His fingertips were suddenly sliding up my ankle towards my thigh. I whimpered from the sensation and my legs moved for him, anticipating his intimate touch. He was gone again. Art licked my side, right above my ribs and I whimpered again fisting the sheets. My heart began to race. Damn, at this rate Chewie was going to drive me crazy in 2.5 seconds flat. My stomach dipped when his lips suddenly sucked my inner thigh, only an inch away from the part of me that needed him the most. I was so ready for him, but I didn't want him to stop. My breaths came in ragged pants as he lifted my leg, licked the curve under my knee and bit it. I moaned. Art made every part of my body feel sexy.
His lips reappeared on my belly button as he sucked it while his fingers slowly caressed the limits of my sensitive skin. Damn this man. A loud moan escaped me. I could never help myself with him. I lifted my hips desperate to feel him there. Art must have felt merciful, because his lips closed over the most sensitive part of me, answering my silent plea, it pulsed under his tongue. I screamed his name.
“Yes!”
My hands flew to his hair, and I held his head in place. Art chuckled sucking me again, and another moan escaped me.
“Don’t worry, A rún mo chroí. I’m not going anywhere,”
Chewie whispered on my sensitive skin adding to the frenzied sensations. He licked me and hummed as though it was the most delicious thing he had ever tasted. Shit. The vibration of his lips pushed me over the edge. Yep, 2.5 seconds was all it took. I arched my back and felt my legs clamp around his head as I fell into a wonderful abyss of pleasure and mind numbing desire.
I moaned again and again as the waves of pleasure rolled over me. My body shook against his mouth, but Art never stopped his attention on me.
"I love drinking from you,” he whispered, claiming my lips until my head was spinning. “I had always wanted to do that. I wondered how it would feel… taste. I’m glad I experienced it with you.”
Damn this man. Chewie was driving me crazy. As far as I was concerned he could “experience it” as many times as he wanted. His lips were freaking mind-blowing on me, which really made it hard to believe he had never done that before. Art's body settled over mine, and he lifted my legs to his shoulders, easily sliding inside me. Art was a large man in every sense of the way. He filled every single inch of my petite form and then some, but he was perfect for me. I wouldn’t change anything about him. Chewie had been made for me.
He kissed me, and the next second his fingers were slipping through my hair, gently pulling my neck backwards until he had full access.
“Yes, Chewie!” I moaned, anticipating the pleasure his lips would bring me.
I loved when Art did that to me. I had a very sensitive neck, and his lips… I cradled his head against my skin, and encouraged him to suck. He was my sexy vampire. I lost myself in him, as his hips began to rock deliciously into me.
The love Art felt for me always seemed to shatter my world into a million pieces, and put me back together with one single kiss. That was the way he loved me, and I swore to spend the rest of our lives making him feel the same way.
ART

"Sit on the chair and wait there for me," Lia ordered and walked towards the partition in nothing but my cut off t-shirt. I silently chuckled. I had never liked a t-shirt so much in my life.
"Yes, ma’am." I sat on the chair she had placed next to the dresser, and fixed the crotch of my pajama pants as my body hardened for her. It was dangerous having her around in my t-shirt. Especially knowing she was naked under it, it gave me too many ideas. "What exactly are you going to do to me, again?"
Lia walked back towards me with a towel and a pair of scissors in hand. She didn't answer. Instead, she straddled me on the chair, making me moan at the contact. Her center rested beautifully on me. She placed the towel over my shoulders as my gaze dropped to her hips. I spread my palms on her thighs, slowly guiding them up while the warmth of her skin made me harden even more against her. I had no idea what Lia was doing, but I was in heaven. My hands reached her hips and moved towards the back, squeezing her ass. Damn, her gluts were full and soft under my touch. I jerked against her. I wanted to be inside her. Goosebumps spread over her skin as my palms glided up her back, and came around her body. I cupped her breasts, lifting them until I could see them over the wide neck of the shirt. I grinned and sucked one plump nipple. Her hands moved in my hair while I treated myself to the fullness of her breasts. I sucked her other nipple and gently bit it. She moaned.
“Stop it, Chewie. I need to concentrate.”
I smiled and pushed her breasts together resting my face in them. “Can I be inside you? I want to be inside you.” I mumbled from between her breasts.
“No. You can’t move right now.”
“Please,” I begged, nibbling at her breasts.
“Stop!” She said, smacking my back.
I chuckled and looked at her through the mirror. "What exactly are you…" My mouth dropped when I noticed the scissors in her hand. The ponytail end of my hair rested over the dresser. She had cut it off. "Woman, what have you done?!" I plunged my fingers through my hair. It was still longer at the top, but only by a few of inches.
"I'm making you even more handsome. I like your undercut, but there is no need for your hair to be so long. Now, hold still while I make it even, or you'll end up looking like a porcupine."
I made a face as I observed my cut in the mirror. Her fingers stretched the sections of my hair, and she cut the ends making sure they were even. My face transformed as I smiled. I'd never had anyone take care of me like that. My mouth returned to her breasts and I lifted her hips from me, letting my fingers glide over her delicate skin. Lia hissed clinging to my neck. I smirked against her breasts. My attention had paid off. She was ready for me.
"You can continue cutting my hair, but your body needs me to be inside you." I let myself out of the constriction of my pants, and before she could open her mouth to protest, I caressed her skin with my head and slid inside her.
“Yes, Chewie!” She moaned, the scissors falling to the floor. I continued to suck her breasts and held her hips as she began to grind against me.
I could get used to this.
“Blessed day to you,” I said, walking through the village with a genuine smile on my face.
I swore my heart didn’t fit in my chest anymore. I had never felt like this before.
I was happy.
I could still remember the way Lia looked as I made love to her this morning. I could feel her on my skin. I took a deep breath willing my body to behave, and lifted my fist, knocking on Aigneis’s door.
“Blessed day, Aigneis. I brought your food supply for the week.” I waited, but she didn't answer.
I knocked once more. No answer. I instantly worried. She always wai
ted for me on Tuesday mornings. Not once had she failed to greet me. “Aigneis," I called again and reached for the handle, but the door was locked. I panicked. Taking a few steps back, I rushed forward slamming my shoulder against the door. The wood splintered, pieces flying everywhere as I barged in. My eyes roamed the hut anxiously, but it seemed empty. It couldn't be.
"Art…" Her frail voice called from the back, and my heart lodged in my throat.
I ran to her and found her on the floor.
“Aigneis!" I kneeled beside her. My eyes roamed her skin. "Are you all right? What happened?”
“My child…” She said, barely able to speak. Her hand lifted towards my cheek. “I have been waiting for you for so long…”
Her hand touched my skin, and suddenly she was gone. I leaned back, startled, and looking all around me. I was no longer in her hut, or in the village. Large golden gates stood before me. I knew those gates. The sky above me was dark and filled with the most dazzling stars I had ever seen. White clouds surround me. I stood and turned around, still searching for Aigneis, but I was alone.
“You have never been alone, my child.”
The voice surprised me, and I whirled around to find a tall, stunning woman standing in front of the gates. She wore a white dress, and her long golden hair almost reached her knees. Her eyes were blue like the ocean, and her skin kissed by the sun. She stared at me with a perceptive look in her eyes and began to walk in a small circle around me. Observing me. I cursed under my breath stepping back as her image changed before my eyes. Her now dark skin seemed made of rich charcoal, and her short curly hair matched the darkness of her eyes. She took another step, and her eyes elongated becoming almost slits. Her hair grew long again but it was sleek and lustrous, her form became petite with a golden hue skin tone. I turned with her, unblinking, not wanting to miss a moment of her transformations. Light brown freckles adorned her cheeks as her skin became pale white, and her eyes turned a bright lime green. Her strands grew longer in waves that reached her waist, and turned a gorgeous orangey-red tone, her body becoming slender and tall. The next second she had full lips and almost feline eyes, her skin turned a tanned bronze color, and her hair a chocolate brown but short. She stopped walking and faced me.
“Which of my faces have you witnessed, my child?”
I exhaled looking at her entranced. “All of them.”
She smiled pleased by my answer and transformed once more, assuming the form of the red headed woman who had walked around me only a few seconds ago.
“I have been waiting for you for so long, Arthfael. Watching you grow and become the extraordinary man that stands before me today. I have been with you in every step of your journey, waiting for you to be ready. Thank you, for finally coming to me.”
I swallowed. “Who are you?”
She gazed at me, amused. “Do you honestly require me to answer that, my child?”
My heart slammed against my chest as I shook my head and fell to my knees. “No, Mother Goddess.” My eyes closed as I felt her lips on my head.
“Rise, Arthfael.” I looked at her confused. “All your questions shall be answered, but for now, will you walk with me?”
I nodded and offered my arm to her, not sure of what to do. She curled her hand around it.
“Such a gentleman. Your brother raised you well.”
She smiled at me and looked ahead of us. When I followed her gaze, we were no longer outside the golden gates. Vast bluish mountains surrounded us, and the colorful shades of the sunset illuminated everything around us. I looked down at my arms, remembering how the sunset had painted my skin in the dream I had of my mother. My lips curved into a smile as the blue, purple, yellow and red once again covered me, except this time, the colors weren't falling on my skin, they seemed to come from me, glowing above it and shimmering. The happiness I had felt last time also rushed through me.
“Welcome to The Blessed Isles, my child.”
My eyes widened as my gaze returned to her. I looked around us once more, but this time I could see other people, smiling and talking to each other. Kids ran laughing, older couples held each other, in love. Everywhere my eyes fell there was someone, on the pastures, walking through the mountains, in the waterfall, and they all shared the same look of happiness that I felt at this moment.
“Is this another dream?”
The Goddess smiled. “Do you desire it so?”
I shook my head. “Am I dead?”
She laughed. The sound seemed like a thousand bells. Her eyes twinkled with merriment. “Does it feel like you are?”
“No,” I answered confused. “But it is impossible for me to be here otherwise.”
She cupped my cheek. “Nothing is impossible, Arthfael.”
When her hand left my cheek, we were alone again. My eyes wandered the mountains, the waterfall and the grass where just a moment ago children had played. They were all gone.
“Then my mother? Was that a dream, or was I here with her? Did I really see her again?” My eyes watered once more, as I waited for her answer.
"You were in such pain. I knew only her presence could aid you."
"Thank you," I whispered, realizing it had been real. I had spoken to mother, felt her arms around me again after so long.
My gaze settled on the Goddess and I suddenly remembered. "Aigneis! Is she all right? I must go back to her, Mother Goddess. She needs me!”
She placed her hand on my chest and closed her eyes as though enjoying the feeling. "Such a pure soul. I have missed you so." Her eyelids lifted and her lips curved into a gentle smile. "She is well. You need not worry." I nodded, taking a calming breath. "It is time for you to return to me, my child."
As the words left her lips, two Warriors appeared behind her. They wore off white leather suits like the ones we wore at the village. A Golden light illuminated them, flowing out of their bodies like an Aura. I briefly wondered if that was what Lia saw when she looked at someone. When my eyes returned to the Goddess, she was glowing a soft gold too. She extended her hand to the side, and a spear that seemed made of pure light materialized in one of the guards' hands. He placed it on her palm, and the second it touched her skin it turned yellow. She stood it on the earth, and I watched in amazement as the light receded, revealing branches made of pure gold. It resembled Bri's staff remarkably, except this one, didn't seem to need a crystal. A ball of pure energy rotated on its top end, in the center of the sharp gold branches.
I looked into her eyes confused, then her last words returned to me. “It is time for you to return to me, my child.”
“Why am I here, Mother Goddess?”
“Do you love me?” She asked instead.
"With all my heart, utterly and undeniably so," I answered, falling to my knees again. I bowed my head and placed my hand over my heart.
“Do you relinquish your immortal life to me?”
I looked up at her confused. “My immortal life?” Was she asking me to die?
"I created your essence from mine, Arthfael, and placed you upon the earth to love and be loved by those around you. I desired for you to learn from them, understand their pain, and feel it as yours. For your compassion to grow greater than your needs. I required you to understand their happiness, aid them in their struggles, and protect them from the greed. To feel the needs which cloud their essence, those of the flesh and of the heart. I have made you with a purpose, and left you among the mortals with a hunger to protect others. I heard the praises and sorrows that have come from your heart, my child, and on this day, I can once and for all answer your prayer. You have become everything I expected, Arthfael, and as such, it is time for you to return to my side." She tilted her staff until the sharp ends touched my chest. "Do you relinquish your immortal life to me?"
She wanted my life.
My heart ripped apart inside my chest. "I just found her," I whispered, unable to fully speak.
The Goddess’ eyes filled with compassion. “I know you love her so. Do you trust
me, Arthfael?”
The muscles of my jaw strained as I repressed the pain. "Yes, Mother Goddess."
She smiled tenderly. “Then renounce your immortality. I need you.”
I nodded. “I relinquish my immortal life to you, Mother Goddess. Do with me what you will.”
A genuine smile stretched the Goddess’ lips. She was so beautiful. "You have never disappointed me, my child. You always do the right thing."
The warmth of her skin enveloped my neck, holding me while her spear began to puncture my heart. She kneeled in front of me, her white gown wrinkling on the earth as she brought her lips to my ear. The Goddess whispered what seemed like a prayer or spell, but her words were lost on me. The tears fell from my eyes as the image of Lia replaced the Goddess' face. I saw her smiling at me, kissing me, loving me. Waves of agony rippled within me, as the spear went through my heart.
It was nothing compared to the pain of losing Lia.
“Awaken, Anam Sealgair…” The Goddess’ whisper startled me.
* * *
I sat up abruptly, gasping for air. My hand flew to my heart, but my skin was intact.
“He’s awake!” Lia yelled crying, throwing her arms around me. “Thank God, you are awake!”
I stared at her confused as she cupped my cheeks, and kissed my lips. They were salty from her tears. Snapping out of the shock, I pulled her into my arms, holding her as tight as I could manage. My eyes stung while I claimed her lips, with a desperate need to convince myself this was real. That Lia was real, and right in front of me. She sobbed, hiding her face in my neck, while my gaze swept the room. We were in my hut, and we weren't alone.
Cyn rushed towards me, and his hand gripped my shoulder, as though he needed to touch me to corroborate Lia’s words. I turned, bringing Lia onto my lap, still unwilling to let her go. My eyes suddenly noticed Eisha standing by the far wall. Her eyes were red and swollen from crying. My heart severely constricted, I hadn't seen her since that night...
