Achilles Page 30

by Greg Boose

To my friends for listening to me complain and blather on about whatever I’m writing at the time, and for telling me to keep going, especially: Tarek Said, Sean Widman, Michael Loomis, Dan Freeman, Karah Woesner, Mike Gilpin, Tyler Stoddard Smith, Julie Mosiello, Brett Krupp, Joel Hagen, Alea McKinley, and Hanna Kahn. And a particular thank you to Joe Andosca, for listening to me for hours on the phone and brainstorming with me, only to have him shoot down one idea after another by saying something like, “If you’ve ever seen Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, they did something similar where…” Joe truly helped shaped Achilles, and if there’s anything in the book you have problems with, I’m going to blame that section on him.

And finally, to those who have picked up a copy of this book, thank you so much for reading. It’s humbling to have someone spend their time swimming around in the world I’ve created. I promise that if I ever visit outer space, or if I crash anything out there, you’ll be the first ones I tell. Unless I die in the crash. Then you’ll probably read about it online or something.
