“Your breasts are so beautiful.” He leaned down and sucked on her nipples, causing an amazing sensation to go up and down her body.

She could feel the pressure building inside her as he ran his hands down her sides. Continuing to caress her breasts with his mouth, he slid his hand underneath her dress and softly rubbed her thighs. She ran her fingers through his thick hair as her desire for more continued to multiply. She felt him swirl his tongue around her taut nipples, which were tingling like mad. He moved his hand up her thigh, so very close to her pussy but never reaching that desired touch. God, she needed him so much it was driving her insane. But the thigh massage he continued giving her in a teasing fashion only added to her suffering.

She moved her hips, hoping to tempt him to explore her further. But he wouldn’t give in. He was in charge. Just like she wanted him to be.

She felt moisture pool between her legs as he kissed her again, devouring her lips. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t surrender to him. In this moment, she was his. Totally.

Finally, he slipped his hand up until the only thing between his skin and her pussy was the fabric of her panties. Her temperature shot up several degrees as he massaged her breasts and caressed her pussy. Painfully slow, he pulled her panties down her legs. He moved down her body until he was kneeling in the floorboard of the limo. He lifted her dress, uncovering her pussy. With thick fingers, he parted her soft, damp flesh.

“I want to taste you, sweetheart.” His tone was deep and sexy, arousing her to a state of delirium. She could feel his hot breath on her pussy.

“I need you so much, Greg.”

“The only thing I want to do is please you.” He ran his tongue over her pussy, increasing her crushing need even more.

As he sucked on her clit, she wrapped her legs around his shoulders, deepening his drive into her. He continued sucking and nipping on her pussy and clit until she reached an earth-shattering, body-shaking orgasm.

Sensations rolled through her, wave after wave, releasing all the pressure that had been building.

She wanted to scream, but remembered the driver. “Oh my God, Greg,” she said as softly as possible in her current state. Overcome with trembles, she closed her eyes.

He moved back next to her in the seat, holding her close. She leaned her head into him, slowly feeling her body calm.

When she was completely relaxed, he reached for her panties and helped her pull them up. Then he refastened her bra and zipped up her dress.

He kissed her softly. “I love you, sweetheart. I love you with all my heart.”

She wished she could say it back to him. In her heart, she knew she felt the same for him. But how could she? As much as she wanted to stay in Wilde, she knew she couldn’t. The lifestyle that Mary had chosen wouldn’t work for her. Greg and Grant had made it clear they both wanted her. And God help her, she wanted both of them. But she couldn’t understand how two men could love her and be happy.

  Chapter Thirteen

The afternoon bachelorette party had been a huge success. All the women of Wilde had turned out to welcome their newest neighbor.

Maude loved seeing Mary so happy. She still couldn’t believe that in three days her little sister was going to be married.

She looked at the clock on the stove. 5:20 pm.

The cleanup was almost done. All the dishes except the crystal glasses were in the dishwasher. She was washing the glasses, Mary was drying them, and Carol was putting them away in the cabinets.

“Sis, when are you going to tell us about your dates with the Strong brothers?” Mary asked her. “How did they go?”

“They were both perfect gentlemen, and I had a very good time.”

“Is that all you’re going to tell us, sweetheart?” Carol said. “I need to know more than that. What about you, Mary?”

“Absolutely, I need to know more.” Turning her direction, Mary folded her arms over her chest. “Out with it, Maude. We want details. Where did each of them take you? What did you do?”

“Grant took me to Strong and Wilde Lake.” She smiled, recalling the wonderful day they’d spent together. “He let me drive his boat. We swam and had an excellent lunch.” As she continued giving all the wonderful details of the date, Mary and Carol smiled.

“And how about Greg?” Mary asked. “What was the date like with him?”

“Amazing. He’s a pilot and has his own plane. He flew me to Reno to have dinner.”

  “How romantic,” Carol said.

“It was. Giovanni’s has the most incredible food. I felt like a princess. Greg even let me fly his plane. Both dates were the best I’ve ever had in my life.”

“You sound like a woman falling in love to me, sis.”

She felt her eyes well up. “I’m just so confused.”

“Sounds like pie and coffee time to me.” Carol put up the last glass. “You know we’re here for you.”

“Yes, I know you are, Mom, and I have been dying to talk to both of you about this.”

“Why haven’t you?” Carol cut them each a slice of chocolate cake and started a pot of coffee.

“Because I didn’t want to spoil Mary’s bachelorette party.”

Mary placed her hand on her shoulder and looked her straight in the eyes. “You’re more important to me than any party, and you know that.”

“Just the same, I knew I would be able to talk to you and Mom after it was over.”

“Everyone is gone and everything is cleaned up,” Carol said. “Let’s sit down and work this out.”

They all sat down at the kitchen table.

“I know you both told me about how this unusual lifestyle can work for a woman. I believe you. I see how your men treat each of you. But it’s not about whether or not I can love the Wilde way. I know I can. It’s about me. Only me. How can I be enough for them? I’ve never been enough for anyone. I tried my whole life to please my parents but never did. I shouldn’t have gone on those dates with Grant and Greg. Now it’s too late. They both said they were in love with me. What am I going to do now?”

Mary grabbed her hand. “The question is, sis, are you in love with them?”

“Yes, I love them. How did this happen? I just know I’m not enough for Grant and Greg.”

“Oh, my precious daughter,” Carol said. “Your life growing up affected you more than I realized. You must understand that the way you feel was because of your parents. But it’s not true. None of it. You and Mary are the most amazing, wonderful young women I’ve ever known. Grant and Greg would be lucky to have you in their lives.”

“Maude, you were the oldest,” Mary said. “And my whole life I saw how much harder our parents were on you than they were on me. When you came back from what I thought was a normal boarding school, I knew something had changed inside you. As close as we’ve always been, you were never able to tell me why. Now that I know about the rape and you losing your daughter, it all makes sense to me. You gave up on ever trying to please our parents again, right?”

She nodded, feeling the tears stream down her face. Mary was shinning a bright light into the darkness she’d kept hidden inside her for so long.

“But what was worse, you also gave up on yourself. You are good enough for those two cowboys of yours. You were good enough for me. I couldn’t have made it without you. You’re my big sister. I’ve never stopped looking up to you. How many times did you wipe the tears from my eyes when we were growing up in our parents’ house? You always succeeded in making me feel better.”

“That’s what sisters are supposed to do for each other.”

“Then, dammit, let me do that for you. I remember one specific time when I told you I wasn’t going to try out for orchestra. Do you remember that?”

“Of course. You were so silly. You already played the violin better than anyone at the school. In fact, you got first chair.”

“What did you tell me when I said I wasn’t going to audition because I knew I wasn’t good enough?”

>   “I told you not to put yourself down.”

“I believe your exact words were ‘I’m not going to listen to someone talking bad about my sister, Mary, and that includes you.’ Then you proceeded to threaten me within an inch of my life if I didn’t audition for the band. It turned out that I was good enough.” Mary held up her fists. “Listen to me, Maude Kindcaid, and listen hard. Just like you, I’m not going to let anyone talk bad about my sister. Understand? You’re good enough. You’re more than good enough.”

“Tell her, Mary,” Carol said, cheering her on.

Maude laughed, glad for the support she had from both of them. “Apparently I’m outnumbered.”

  “Yes, you are,” Mary said.

The phone rang, and Carol got up from the table to answer it. “Hello. We were just talking about you two.”

Maude shook her head and mouthed, “Tell them I’m not here.”

Carol put her hand over the phone. “No more stalling, sweetheart. You’re just nervous, but everything is working out just fine.” She handed her the phone.

  “Hi.”

  “Hey, Maude. This is Grant.”

“And Greg. I’m on the extension.”

Hearing their voices again made her melt inside. Still, her body trembled, brought on by her nervousness. “How are the boys?”

  “Missing you,” Grant said.

“That’s why we’re calling, sweetheart,” Greg added. “Grant and I wanted to ask you to come to dinner at the house again, so you could also spend time with the boys.”

Carol and Mary were mouthing to her to say yes, which made her giggle.

“I would love to see the boys again. What time?”

“Since the boys’ bedtime is seven, we thought we’d start the evening at five so you can spend more time with them.”

“How about I wear jeans and tennis shoes so I can roughhouse with them?”

“You can wear anything you like, honey,” Grant said. “You could wear a gunny sack and still look amazing in our eyes.”

She laughed. “If I had a gunny sack, I would wear it to your house just to prove you wrong.”

“We can’t wait to see you tomorrow,” Greg said. “Goodnight, Maude.”

“Goodnight.” She hung up the phone, and Mary and Carol were jumping up and down like a couple of teenagers.

“We’re so happy for you,” Carol said. “This is just the beginning, sweetheart.”

“You’re just taking the first steps into your new future,” Mary added. “Just like I am.”

“Girls, I know you’re both going to have the most amazing lives, just like I have since I came to Wilde so long ago.” Carol lifted up her coffee cup. “A toast.”

  Maude and Mary lifted theirs.

  “To your happily-ever-afters.”

They clinked their cups together, and Maude realized how lucky she was to have met her two wonderful men. Grant and Greg had changed her in so many ways. She finally believed in herself.

  Chapter Fourteen

Placing the spaghetti into the boiling water, Grant looked over his shoulder at Maude, who was in the play area on the floor with the four boys. She looked so cute in her jeans and white top, with her hair pulled back in a ponytail.

She had the boys laughing. On her back with her legs in the air, she was giving them rides on her feet. The latest rider was Heath, who was in the air on her feet while she held on to him with her hands.

Toby was jumping up and down. “My turn, Mama.”

Seth and Nate sat nearby, giggling.

Wanting to capture this moment on film, he turned to Greg. “Get over here and watch the sauce and the pasta.”

“It took me years to master salad making. You want me to ruin our meal?”

He laughed. “You’re right. Go grab the Super 8 and shoot Maude playing with the boys.”

Greg turned and looked into the play area. “Another good idea, bro.” By the time he returned, Maude was giving Nate a ride on her feet.

Toby and Heath ran around her, and Seth was tugging on her arm.

“This is fantastic,” Greg said. “I’m getting great footage.”

“Keep filming. You’ve got five minutes before dinner. I’ll finish your salad.”

Greg smiled. “But I still get credit for it.”

He laughed. “I can’t wait to see what you’re getting.”

“We’ll be watching it for years to come, bro. This is just the first of many family movies.”

Putting the finishing touches on their meal, he glanced again at the woman of his and Greg’s dream. God, how he loved her. How they both loved her.

Toby screamed, and he and Greg ran into the playroom.

He was on the floor crying. “I want Mama. I want Mama.”

Maude swept him up into her arms. “You’re okay.” She turned to him and Greg and whispered, “He just stumped his toe.” Then in a louder tone, she said, “That mean coffee table hurt this precious boy.” She winked and then started slapping the table. “Shame on you, table. Don’t you hurt my little boy again.”

Hearing her call him “my little boy” thrilled Grant.

Toby sniffled and then started laughing. “You bad table.”

Heath slapped the surface. “Shame. Shame.”

“Looks like you have everything under control here,” he said to her. “Dinner is about ready.”

“Are you hungry, Toby?” she asked.

Toby nodded and kissed her on the cheek. “I love you, Mama.”

“I love you, too.” She bent down and kissed the other three. “I love you all so very much. Let’s go get our hands washed so we can eat Daddy Grant’s delicious meal.”

“What about my salad, Maude?” Greg sent her a wink.

She smiled. “And Papa Greg’s salad. Yummy. Let’s go, boys.”

He and Greg finished setting the table.

They all sat down and enjoyed the meal together.

Greg took more footage with the Super 8.

Maude got into the spirit of things quickly. “Wave to the camera, boys.”

All their little faces were covered in spaghetti, which was so cute.

When the meal ended and the boys’ faces were wiped off, she said, “Who wants to hear a story?”

“I do. I do,” Toby and Heath said together.

“The dishes can wait,” he told Greg. “I want to hear her story, too.”

Greg nodded and grabbed the camera.

Maude led them back to the play area. She picked up Heath’s toy horse. “This story is about Buttermilk and an adventure she had with a dog named Fred. They met at Mr. Owl’s birthday party when…”

The boys were completely mesmerized by her. So were he and Greg. This was where she belonged.

Nate and Seth fell asleep, and Toby and Heath began to yawn.

“…and they lived happily ever after.” Maude lifted Nate and Seth into her arms. “Time to go nighty-night.”

He lifted Heath up, and Greg pulled Toby off the floor.

The three of them put the boys to bed. They all kissed each of the boys and then went back to the table.

Greg poured her a glass of wine. “A busy night. The boys are crazy about you.”

  “And I’m crazy about them.”

“Relax, sweetheart.” Grant looked into her gorgeous eyes. “Greg and I will clean up.”

“Not on your life. No way.” She put the glass down. “You’re both going to relax, and I’m going to clean the dishes.”

“That’s not going to happen,” he told her.

“Watch me.” Her tone was defiant and stern.

“Better sit down, bro,” Greg said with a smile. “She’s a feisty one.”

  He laughed. “Yes, she is.”

She ran around like Samantha on Bewitched.

When she was putting away the last of the dishes, Greg turned to him and said in a low tone, “That would’ve taken us twice the time than it did her.”

  “At least.”

  “She
’s our dream come true.”

Grant placed his hand on his brother’s shoulder. “And we must do our very best to show her how much she means to us.”

  * * * *

When she finished wiping off the counters, Maude grabbed her wine glass and walked over to Grant and Greg, who were sitting on opposite sides of the sofa. She leaned down and gave Grant a sweet kiss, followed by the same for Greg.

“That’s for being two good boys.” She grinned.

Greg took her hand and squeezed. “If I get a kiss every time you do the dishes, then I’m going to make sure every plate, bowl, and glass in this house stays dirty.”

“Then you’re being bad,” she said, enjoying the banter. “You don’t want to see what happens then.”

Grant smiled. “I might. You’ve got me curious.”

In her most serious tone, she said, “Try me.”

“Okay, I will.” He pulled her down onto his lap and gave her a kiss.

“Mmm. Maybe you should try me more often.”

“My turn. My turn.” Greg pulled her to him and pressed his mouth to hers.

“Mmm. I see I’m going to have my hands full with you two.”

Grant touched her on the cheek, and a tremble rolled through her. “I love you, Maude. So very much.”

Greg squeezed her hand. “You’re everything I ever hoped for and more. I love you.”

“I love both of you so very much.” She gave each of them another kiss. “Mmm.”

They began to kiss her neck, and they bumped their heads.

  “Ouch,” they said in unison.

She laughed at their clumsiness. “I see this is new for all of us.”

“Yes. Thank you for understanding,” Greg said. “But trust us. We’re going to get this right if it takes all night.”

“Let’s hope it does,” Grant said wickedly and then picked her up into his arms. “I think we need more room.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck, enjoying the feel of his muscles next to her.

He carried her into a bedroom. “This is my room.” He lowered her down onto his waterbed.

She rolled back and forth from the motion of the mattress. When Grant and Greg joined her on the bed, the waves got even stronger. “I hate to ask, but do you have another bed in the house?”
