In the passenger compartment, Sierra had recovered her breath and remembered that in the storage compartment where she had hidden were some power unused cables that might serve a useful purpose. She glanced down at the morphed Liona, whose dragon strength was enabling her to recover slowly. Liona stirred on the floor, making stuporous dragon noises while still in the grip of Sierra’s whip at its lowest setting. She softly asked, “Can I expect you to keep still until I can get something to make you a little easier to handle?”
Just then, she heard frantic footfalls near the hatch and saw a shadow outside. Sierra’s every sense and reflex went into “fight” mode. She tensed and straightened, ready for anything—except the sight of Tynan bounding into the hatchway and standing there, taking in the view of her standing over the conquered Liona.
“Sierra!” he cried. “Oh, thank the clouds…”
Forgetting everything except how much she wanted to be in Tynan’s arms again, Sierra powered off the whip and let it slip from around Liona’s tail. She ran across the compartment, leaping over the two unconscious Chithisians, and threw herself into Tynan’s welcoming embrace. They held that embrace and poured all their relief and love into it. Reluctantly, Sierra pulled back and they quickly kissed.
Admiring the scale job on Sierra, Tynan said, “I see you got yourself all done up for a big evening.”
Sierra replied, “I was ready for it and everything, and then I ran into someone you know.”
They looked and saw Liona digging her talons into the wall near her and dragging herself to her feet. She fixed eyes filled with undisguised hatred on her former lover and the woman in his arms. At the top of her lungs she hissed, “YOU…!”
Liona lunged, ready to come over passenger chairs and fallen Chithisians and dig fangs and claws into both Tynan and Liona—but Tynan quickly pulled his powerblade again and sent forward its gleaming sword of power. Liona stopped in mid-stride, hissing furiously.
“It’s been a long time, my old love,” Tynan said triumphantly.
THE FINAL CHAPTER
The sex that took place in Tynan’s bedchamber after Sierra’s abduction and rescue was filled not only with combustible passion but with all the desperation of the ordeal through which they had both come. Tynan did, not so much slowly, sensuously strip the artificial scales from Sierra’s body as he tore them off and flung them about, strewing them across bed and floor, flooding her body with released endorphins that made her feel positively drugged. The airborne endorphins were like a perfume that made him swear that his cock was harder than it had ever been in his life.
He pinned her to the bed and gave her the most shockingly fierce—and overwhelmingly delicious—humping that he had ever given any female in his life. Sierra seldom screamed during sex, but this time, it was more no-holds-barred than anything she had ever experienced.
Not only did she scream, she raked her nails along his shoulders and down his back and over his furiously pounding ass, leaving red trails all over his body and making him roar as loudly as she screamed. When he came, pouring forth a geyser of cream, he plunged himself into her with all his strength and ground his crotch against her so that it seemed as if the sheets would catch fire.
The heat of the head of his tool throbbing inside her made Sierra herself let go, joining him in an orgasm that made them feel as though Nimbus City itself would come tumbling from the sky.
Afterward, they lay in a sexual stupor, barely able to think, let alone talk, and they remained that way for a long time. It was the release of all their fear and terror, and the frenzy of battle, that had taken possession of them. They purged it all with the most insane sex that either of them had ever had. Sierra lay in his arms, looking down his body and watching a little stream of ejaculation trickle onto his thigh. She wiped it up with her fingertip and brought it to her tongue, licking it away and tasting again his sweetened semen.
“Hey,” he said groggily, “that’s for getting you pregnant.”
“I’m sure there’ll be plenty more where that came from,” she said, pecking his lips.
“Plenty,” he agreed, and pecked her in return. “You know what, though?”
“What?”
“We got so excited, we forgot I was supposed to put the first patch on you before I fucked you again.”
“Oh my,” said Sierra. “So, we did. The first time, and we’ve already gone off prescription. We’re going to have to make up for that.”
“We are,” he said, and pulled her into a deeper, longer kiss, a kiss that said as much as their explosion of sex how much he needed her—and how much she needed him.
After the precious forever of that kiss, Tynan nuzzled her nose with his and said, “You know I love you, right?”
“You know I love you too,” Sierra said. And they drew together into another kiss.
Only after that first rejoining of their bodies did Sierra and Tynan realize how famished they were. They had another couple of dinners brought up and made short work of them as if it had been a year since their last meal. Then, they returned to bed.
They decided they would put the patches where the future little Moran would go: on Sierra’s belly, right over her navel. Tynan put her on her back and lovingly kissed her stomach, making her feel the first heat of everything that was soon to come. He then laid the little round-edged square of golden gel onto her skin in the spot where they wanted it.
The patch became a jewel-like part of her flesh. Sierra sighed at the feeling of it adhering to her. It felt as if Dr. Garver might have slipped a bit of the endorphins into the mix, like the adhesive of the scale strips. A little wave of contentment and pleasure washed its way through her.
Next, Tynan took her waiting sex into a deep, long French kiss and turned the soft wave of pleasure into a rolling tempest. And then, he set himself down on top of her, moved his long and massive maleness into her, and for a long, wild ride he pumped her full of his love and his seed.
After this first very satisfying attempt to conceive, they lay quietly together again, and Tynan traced circles around the patch on her belly with his finger. Sierra chuckled at the feeling, as sexy as everything else that had happened—or would ever happen—between them in bed. “It’s only the first time with the patch,” he said. “It probably hasn’t happened yet.”
“Good,” she said, teasing his nipple. “I look forward to it, but I hope it takes a while.”
“So do I,” he agreed. “It’s not the destination. It’s the journey.”
Sierra laughed a sexy laugh and gave herself into a long, sexy kiss. Then, brushing his nipples with her knuckles, she said, “It reminds me, there’s something I’ve been meaning to show you.”
Grinning, Tynan lowered his face to her bosom and began to kiss at her breasts. “Something to show me? There’s nothing I haven’t seen. Your tits, your ass, your…”
She playfully smacked him on the head. “No, we’ve seen all of each other, you stud. That’s not what I mean.”
He came up on one shoulder and gave her a quizzical look. “What, then?”
She called out to the house’s systems: “Access data storage in my wardrobe. Display simulation Smith-Moran Omega.”
Sierra sat up on the bed and nudged him to sit up with her. As he did, she said, “Watch.”
At the foot of the bed appeared the holographic simulation of their child or what she had imagined him to be.
Fascinated, Tynan crawled down the bed to sit and look at the display. The holographic child smiled at him, and for some reason, Tynan felt a rush of embarrassment that was completely at odds with his culture’s lack of taboos about the body. Suddenly, irrationally, he actually felt self-conscious at being naked and pulled a section of the bedspread over his private parts. The simulation didn’t care. He smiled on and said, “Are you Daddy?”
Tynan blinked and gave a mildly dumbfounded look to Sierra, who had come down the bed beside him, holding a part of the bedspread over herself. It made absolutely no sense t
o be covering up in the bedroom on the completely body-unashamed planet Lacerta, but for some nameless reason, ancient instincts had taken over. Tynan addressed the hologram: “Yes…yes, I am. And who are you?”
“Mommy didn’t name me yet. She said you ought to name me together.”
Tynan nodded. “Mommy is smart.” To Sierra, he said, “You mind if I try something?”
“What?”
“Watch,” he said. Then, to the house’s AI, “Access simulation Smith-Moran Omega. Enter data from my genetic profile. Collate and display result.”
The smiling little boy shimmered in front of them and, for a moment, broke down into a body of pixels in the shape of a child. In another second, it resolved back into the same handsome child, but slightly different. His hair was now a more tousled version of his father’s hair. A warm child version of his own eyes gazed back at the dragon Prince.
“Do I still look good?” the yet-to-be-named boy asked.
“You look great,” Tynan said. “You will look great. I’ll see you soon, I hope.”
“I hope so too, Daddy,” the simulation said.
Tynan called to the AI, “End display and store.” Then, to the simulation: “Bye for now…son.”
“Bye, Daddy,” said the hologram before it disappeared.
Sitting at the foot of the bed with Sierra, Tynan sighed. “Do you think he’ll really look like that?”
“I think he’ll be as handsome as his father, no matter how he comes out,” Sierra answered and kissed him.
Tynan felt the blood rushing hotly to where it made something turn stiff again. “Ready to get back to making him?”
“I’m always ready for you,” she replied.
They kissed again, a kiss of serious and fiery intention, and climbed back up the bed to the pillows. They did not bother with foreplay. Thinking of the future made them aroused enough. Tynan slipped back inside her, and she squeezed him, making him curse for joy as he resumed his urgent pumping. Sierra tightened her body around her dragon Prince and welcomed him into every part of her being, and so began the adventure of the rest of her life.
