The voice turned smoky, inviting. “Well, maybe I should give you a ride, then, what do you say to that?”
Tomas laughed, unable to help himself.
“Get in,” the voice growled, and when Tomas got in Vic leaned over and kissed him. “How ya doin’, babe?”
“Missing you,” Tomas replied, and he said, honestly, “Wish you’d come home.” He expected Vic’s usual gruff, “Eventually. Things are so different now.” But instead Vic looked at him thoughtfully, and then said, “Depends on how well you beg me to tonight.”
Tomas grinned and laughed, pulling Vic’s hand into his lap.
