The Naughty List: A Christmas Romance Page 10

by Hazel Kelly

When my jaw gets sore, I crawl onto the couch and loop the back of one hand around his neck and guide him inside me with the other.

We’re smiling for a second, but as soon as I sink halfway down, our expressions change, and we stare in each other’s eyes as I slide the rest of the way.

He feels so good, so big, so deep, and I grind gently against the base of his shaft and lean forward.

He holds my breasts and takes one of my nipples in his mouth, sucking me in time with the rhythm of my hips.

My pleasure feels so intense, and the whole world fades away as my desire drips down him.

I know I’m on the brink when my core starts to burn, but I want him to come with me, want to feel him shatter inside my belly, so I lift my knees and bounce on him slowly and then faster, holding onto the back of the couch as he pants against my chest.

Without warning he grabs my hips and slams them down, jerking up inside me as I ride out his orgasm, letting mine spring from it as I shake over him, my breasts in his face.

I’m so lightheaded I fall sideways on the wide couch, taking him with me as I savor the feel of him throbbing inside me. “It’s a wonderful life,” I say, trailing my fingers through his hair.

“I couldn’t agree more,” he says, hugging me to him.

“You still want to do presents before the movie?” I ask. “Cause we could also just not move.”

“Presents first,” he says. “I’m liable to fall asleep during the movie after that.”

I laugh and roll away from him. “Right,” I say, dragging myself up. “Meet me back here in thirty seconds.”

“Make it two minutes so I can put on some sweats,” he says, his eyes admiring my body.

“Deal,” I say, happy to have the extra time to collect myself.

A minute later, I’m waiting on the couch in my snowman patterned pajamas with a wrapped box in my lap.

Anthony comes around the fireplace in his flannel pajama bottoms and nothing else, his hand gripping a square box.

I check him out as hard as the first day we met and smile to myself. “Do you want to go first?” I ask. “Or will I?”

“Whatever you want,” he says, taking a seat on the couch next to me.

“You go first,” I say, moving his present behind me.

He takes his box and flips it over so the bow is on the bottom before handing it to me.

“Am I supposed to open it upside down?”

  He nods.

I untie the ribbon and peel away the wrapping paper, revealing a plain white cardboard box. “I have to turn it over to get inside.”

  “Go on then.”

I flip it over and open the lid. Then I pull out something solid wrapped in tissue paper. As soon as I start pulling at the tissue paper, I realize it’s a snow globe... With a diamond ring inside.

He drops to his knee in front of me.

I place a hand over my chest.

“I love you, Holly, more than I’ve ever loved anything, more than I thought I was capable of loving anything. And since the day I met you every day has felt like Christmas. You are the gift that keeps on giving and the love that you inspire in me has changed me for the better.” He pulls a small ring box out of his pocket and opens it, revealing a ring that matches the one in the globe. “I know life won’t always be easy. I know there will be days when nothing goes according to plan. But with you by my side, I know I’ll be able to laugh about it. Because you make the hard days worth surviving, and you make the good days, period.”

I press my lips together as my breath hitches in my throat.

“Holly Flynn, please make me the happiest man outside the North Pole by saying you’ll celebrate Christmas with me forever, as my wife.”

I sink to my knees and throw my arms around him, still gripping the snow globe in one hand. “Of course I’ll marry you, Anthony. A thousand times I’ll marry you.” I lean back and give him a kiss, and he pulls my waist towards him. When I come up for air, I drop my forehead against his. “You’re not just the man I love,” I say. “You’re my home.”

He looks down and pulls the ring from the box so he can slide it on my finger.

I swallow as it sparkles back at me, almost like a smile. “This was clever,” I say, raising the snow globe in the other hand. “You had me confused for a second there.”

He smiles and helps me up onto the couch. “I wanted you to get your white Christmas this year, even if the weather has other ideas.”

I set the snow globe on the couch and lay my left hand on his cheek. The ring sparkles next to his eye, and I can’t believe he’s asked me to be his and how euphoric I am about it.

  “You’re glowing,” he says.

“I’m in love,” I say. “Now. Your turn.” I bring the rectangular box around and set it in his lap.

“You’re sure you want to go ahead with this?” he asks. “Work shirts are going to feel a bit anticlimactic after that.”

I roll my eyes. “I didn’t get you work shirts. Just open it.”

“Christmas ties?” he asks. “I dropped enough hints about that one with the skinny Santa’s on it.”

  I groan. “Just open it!”

He laughs and starts unwrapping the paper without pulling the ribbon off first like such a guy.

When he’s finally unwrapped the box the hard way, he wiggles the top off and folds the tissue paper to the side.

“Is it a sexy elf costume?” he asks, pulling it out of the box.

  I bite my lip.

His face drops when he realizes what it is and looks back in the box at the elf baby booties. Then he looks at me.

  I shrug. “Surprise.”

  “You’re pregnant?”

I nod and start to cry.

“Oh Holly.” He pulls me close, and I swear he hugs me harder than he ever has before. “I don’t know what to say. This is the most wonderful surprise.”

“You’re happy?” I ask, leaning back.

“Are you kidding?” he asks. “I’m over the moon!”

“If I’d known you wanted a sexy elf costume-”

“Forget that. This is so much better.” He glances back at the little booties and holds one up like he can’t believe how small it is. Then his attention turns to my stomach. “How far along are you?”

  “I’m due in July.”

“Christmas in July!” he says. “I can’t wait.”

“I thought maybe you suspected since I haven’t been drinking and-”

“I thought you were just nervous about the show.”

I raise my eyebrows. “Maybe I’m an even better actress than you thought?”

“Impossible,” he says, pulling me to him again and holding the back of my head. “Do your folks know?”

“No,” I say, leaning back. “I thought maybe we’d tell them tomorrow. Or not. We’ll see how we feel now that we have plenty of news to share.”

He nods. “Sounds good. I’ll support you whatever you want to do.”

  “I know.”

He shakes his head as he kicks the tissue paper to one side. Then he glances back at the little elf onesie. “Have you tried it on?”

  I scrunch my face. “What?”

“Lean back,” he says, lifting it out of the box.

I do as he says and get choked up as he lays it carefully over my stomach. “How does it look?”

“Like a perfect fit,” he says.

My heart is bursting and my face hurts from smiling. “Anthony.”

He lifts his eyes to mine. “What?”

  “You’re glowing.”

“I know,” he says. “Since the day I met you.”
