Out Of The Friend Zone Page 10

by Stephanie Nicole

"Wait," Brynn said suddenly, stilling his hands with her own. "We can't do this here. Even us just kissing out in the open like this isn't right if we haven't told the kids yet. I don't want one of them to wake up and walk down here to catch us." She was panting, her eyes glassy with passion.

"Do you want me to leave?" Chandler asked, praying that she said no.

"No, I just want to go up to my bedroom, where we can be behind closed doors," she said, as she stood from the couch. She saw the sudden look of doubt and rushed to reassure him. "Don't worry, I'm not saying that we're going to have sex. I just want a little more privacy."

Chandler nodded and followed her up to her bedroom. Brynn shut and locked the door behind him, then turned to look at him. He was standing a few feet away from her, his hands stuck in his pockets.

"I'm a little nervous," Chandler chuckled.

"Me too, quite honestly," Brynn said with a smile. Neither one knew what to do, so they both just stood there, looking at each other. Both were afraid to make the first move, so Brynn decided to lighten the mood. Crossing the room to the large armoire in the corner, she eased both their minds by turning on the television. "What do you usually watch on Saturday nights?"

"I don't know, but there's got to be some movie that we both can agree on," Chandler said, relieved that Brynn had done something to break the tension.

Brynn sat at the end of her bed with her remote in her hand, flipping through the guide to find something to watch. Chandler sat next to her, watching as the titles scrolled through on the TV. They finally decided on 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. Brynn scooted back so that she could lie on the bed comfortably, and Chandler followed her.

Once they were comfortable, they started watching the movie, and most of the tension disappeared from the room. After only a few minutes, Chandler rolled onto his side and looked at Brynn. He ran his hand down her face, then let his fingertips graze over her neck. He leaned over her and kissed her soft lips, unable to resist any longer.

Soon they were right where they left off, with his hands on the buttons of Brynn's jersey. When he finally had all the buttons undone, Chandler pulled her shirt off, to reveal a tank top underneath. His mouth moved to her shoulder, sucking and nipping at the skin there, knowing that he was leaving marks and not caring...just as long as it wasn't on her neck, where everyone would see it. It would be their little secret.

Chandler let his hand roam under the tank top. She gasped when his hand met her bare nipple. Taking that as a sign of pleasure, Chandler peeled the tank top off of Brynn, leaving her torso bare. Chandler looked at her naked top for a while, then descended on her bare breasts, one with his hand, the other with his mouth, drawing moans of pleasure from her.

Brynn's hand wandered from his arms, down his stomach, to the growing bulge in his pants. As she touched the mound, Chandler drew in a quick, sharp breath. He rolled her over so that she was flat on her back, and he was lying on his side, next to her. He brought his mouth back up to hers as his hand left her breast and slowly made its way down her stomach. When he reached the button of her jeans, he easily flicked it open, and dragged the zipper down. His mouth left her as he backed away from her and looked into her eyes, while his hand made its way into her jeans and panties, searching for her pleasure.

Brynn's eyes drifted closed as his fingers curled in her center. The first touch made her groan. He began a slow rhythm of stroking, sending waves of pleasure through her body. Soon she was lifting her hips up to him, moving with him, getting closer and closer to the climax she could feel just over the horizon.

He sucked on her nipples, one at a time, and kissed his way up to her mouth, drawing her bottom lip into his mouth and sucking on it. His fingers never stopped moving. Now she was bucking against him, meeting his every thrust, and her whole body felt the good tingle, the one that said she couldn't hold back much longer.

Chandler looked into her eyes as the pleasure overtook her body. Her hands clenched on his shoulders. Her mouth fell open and the sound that came from her was pure sexual heat. Her nipples got even harder and her whole body flushed a gorgeous shade of pink. He had never seen such a breathtaking sight.

As the last wave flooded her body, she finally regained her breath and smiled lazily at Chandler.

"What was that for?" Brynn asked.

"Just something I wanted to do," Chandler smiled.

"Well, there's something I want to do too," Brynn whispered. She rolled Chandler onto his back and he went willingly, knowing exactly what she had in mind. The bulge in his pants was still there and bigger than ever. She reached for his pants and undid them, sliding them and his boxers down his hips. She took her time, giving him the opportunity to stop her if he wanted, but by the time she had his pants off he was panting with desire.

When she looked at his erection, she got an eyeful. He was definitely bigger than Nico, the only other man she had ever been with.

Brynn knelt between his legs and ran her hand up and down his length. At the first touch of her hand, Chandler shuddered with pleasure and swallowed hard. He watched every move she made, not saying a word, but the response of his body said everything she needed to know.

She kissed the head of his shaft before taking it all into her mouth with one long, slow stroke. Chandler groaned and threw his head back against the pillows. She bobbed her head up and down, licking him as she went. He stiffened even more as she worked on him, and soon he was throbbing with the need for release.

"Brynn, I'm not going to last long. It feels too good," he told her, sounding almost as if he was in pain.

"Go ahead. Give in," Brynn murmured, before she gave him a smile and took him into her mouth again. She bobbed up and down, slowly, then faster, driving him right to the edge. He groaned deeply as he came, releasing at the back of her throat. She moaned right along with him at the feeling of getting him off for the first time. Brynn swallowed everything Chandler had given her, then used her tongue to clean him up. By the time she was done, he was looking down at her, grinning like a fool.

"Wow! That was amazing!" He pulled Brynn into his arms.

"Just think of how amazing it will be when we finally have sex!" Brynn laughed.

"Thank you," Chandler said, starting to get choked up. His passion now sated, the emotion poured in. "Thank you for making me feel alive again. And I'm not talking about what we just did, but in every aspect of my life." He planted a soft kiss on her lips. "That was my first time for anything since..."

"I know," she said quietly. "Are you okay?"

Chandler didn't even have to think about it. "Absolutely okay," he said, smiling at her with complete reassurance.

Brynn cuddled closer to him. "Do you want to sleep here tonight?"

  "Do you think I should?"

"I don't know about should, but I want you to."

"Okay, then I will." He pulled his boxers up and put his jeans on the chair next to the bed. He slid his shirt over his head and put it with his jeans. Brynn got up out of bed, turned off the TV and went into the bathroom.

When she came out, she had on a small red nightgown. It was pretty, but not too sexy. It was just perfect for their first night together. They both slid under the covers and within minutes they were asleep in each other's arms.

  Chapter 13

Brynn woke up the next morning wrapped tight in Chandler's arms. She had slept better last night than she had in years. It was a little odd for her at first, to have to share her bed with someone again, but lying so close to Chandler brought a peaceful feeling over her that she had never had, even when she was with Nico. She felt calm, and she felt safe...both things she hadn't felt in a while.

She tried to get up out of bed without Chandler noticing, but as soon as she moved, his arms tightened around her. "Mmm, not yet. This feels too good," he moaned, his eyes still closed.

"I know it does, but we need to get up before the kids do," Brynn said.

Chandler shot up out of bed. "Oh, man. How could I hav
e forgotten about the kids? They didn't cross my mind once this morning, and I definitely didn't feel like I was doing something wrong that I had to hide from them."

"Maybe it just felt so right that we forgot it's something we should be hiding?"

"It did feel right, didn't it?" Chandler pulled Brynn into his arms and gave her a light kiss on her lips. "I don't regret last night for anything. I'm happy with everything that happened, and I hope you feel the same."

Brynn nodded. "No regrets here either," she smiled. "Now, get dressed, so we can go downstairs and make the kids some breakfast."

"So wait, no awkward morning, no long talk about where this is going?"

"No, not unless you want that." Brynn smiled again. "There's no awkwardness because both of us wanted what happened last night. We both just agreed that there were no regrets, so why should we feel weird? As for a long talk about where this is going...I'm just tired of worrying about it. It seems like that's all I've been thinking about lately, and it's done nothing but stress me out. Maybe we should just stop questioning everything and let whatever we have lead us for now."

Chandler smiled. Brynn never ceased to amaze him. "I guess you're right. You really are a remarkable woman, you know that?"

Brynn grinned. "Yes, I know!" she said playfully. "Now get dressed and meet me in the kitchen. And hurry!"

She disappeared out the door, closing it behind her.

Chandler stood there laughing and shaking his head.

Brynn and Chandler were in the kitchen making breakfast when Willow and Barrett finally woke up. Willow was surprised to see her father there so early in the morning. "Daddy! What are you doing here? You never have breakfast with us!"

"Hi, pumpkin. I just got up early and wandered over here when I smelled Brynn's wonderful cooking. You know, I think people come from miles around for her special apple pancakes!"He picked her up in a big hug. "Actually, we're all going to the zoo today, and I wanted to get a head start. So after your breakfast, you and Barrett need to hurry up and get ready to go."

"The zoo! Cool!" Willow and Barrett both shouted.

Chandler looked over at Brynn and shrugged. Willow and Barrett both shoveled their food in their mouths as fast as they could, then ran off to get dressed.

Chandler and Brynn were alone in the kitchen again. "I hate lying to her," Chandler said solemnly. "I hope you don't mind going to the zoo today."

"The zoo sounds great," Brynn said, as she put her arms around his neck. "I hate lying to the kids too, but what happens if we tell them about us, and then something happens and we aren't together anymore? Don't you think that will hurt them worse than anything?"

"I know, I know. I just feel bad sneaking around, though." He laid his forehead on hers. "I'm going to go get ready. Send Willow over to change her clothes when she comes back down, please."

Chandler gave Brynn a quick kiss, and was out of her arms and at the back door before she could return the favor.

Everyone had fun at the zoo. Willow and Barrett had a blast imitating all the animals, especially the monkeys. Chandler and Brynn had their share of fun, stealing kisses and holding hands when the kids weren't looking. It was the perfect way to end the weekend, before Chandler and Brynn had to go back to work, and Willow and Barrett had to go to the babysitters. Summer would be ending soon, with the kids going back to school, so fun days like this were numbered.

When they got home, Brynn and Barrett bid Chandler and Willow goodnight, as they retreated to their own houses, neither kid noticing the longing look between their parents.

The week dragged on and on for Brynn and Chandler. Neither could wait for the weekend, when they could spend some time together again. Even though they saw each other a few times throughout the week, it wasn't the same as the quality time they were able to spend on the weekends.

Chandler had spoken with his mother early in the week, and she agreed to take Willow and Barrett to her house for a sleepover on Friday night. When Friday afternoon rolled around, Chandler couldn't wait to get home from work. As soon as he got there, he ran upstairs to shower and change, before Brynn got there to help cook for the dinner they were having.

Shortly after Chandler got out of the shower, he heard his doorbell. He ran downstairs to open it, finding Brynn standing there, hands full of groceries. After a quick kiss, Chandler took the bags from Brynn and brought them to the kitchen. He had expected Brynn to follow him, but when he turned around, he noticed that she wasn't there.

Brynn stood at the doorway, hesitant to enter. She remembered the last time she was there, and how she had a mini-breakdown over the pictures of Brooklyn. Brynn didn't think she could go through that again, especially not when things were going so well between her and Chandler, finally. She turned to leave, but just as she was walking down the steps of the porch, she felt a hand reach out and grab her arm.

"Where are you going? I thought you were going to help me cook."

Brynn shook her head. "I'm sorry. I just...I..." Brynn tried to tell him why she couldn't go in his house, but she didn't know how to start.

"Okay. I understand. But I have something to show you."

He pulled on her hand and Brynn stood still. His eyes pleaded with her, and finally she relented, making her way into his house.

"I've done a little redecorating," Chandler said.

Brynn looked to the mantle. There was only one picture of Brooklyn left. She ran her hand over the mostly empty shelf, and looked at Chandler with hope in her eyes.

"Brynn, that night after the hot tub, I realized that I needed to do something to be able to move on with my life. These pictures were holding me back. Brooklyn will never be completely gone from my memory, but she will never be in my future either. I understand that now. I accept it."

Brynn had tears in her eyes as she nodded.

"I want you to feel comfortable here, Brynn. I don't want you to be afraid to step foot in my house, and I don't want you to feel anxious either, constantly worrying about my past." He shrugged. "I kept one picture...Willow needs to remember her mother."

"Of course she does," Brynn whispered. "I would expect nothing less."

"So...is it okay that I did this?"

Brynn threw her arms around his neck. "Oh Chandler! How can you even ask? I don't know whether to say 'thank you' or 'good for you', because I want to say both. Does that make me selfish because I'm happy you did this?"

Chandler laughed. "No, it doesn't make you selfish. It just shows that you care, and want to be with me. That makes me happy," he replied, and kissed her.

He meant for it to be a quick kiss, but Brynn took the initiative to deepen it as she ran her hands through his dark hair. She kissed him hard and long, her tongue invading his mouth possessively, until neither of them could breathe.

"Wow!" he said after he pulled away. "Think we can call all our guests and cancel, so that we can keep doing this all night?"

"Not likely. Now get your butt in the kitchen. We have some cooking to do," Brynn said as she slapped his toned bottom.

"Yeah baby! I like it like that!" Chandler joked as he jumped and ran to the kitchen.

"Oh, you! Dirty, dirty...!" Brynn laughed.

The two set out to cook some food for the party. They were going to have a nice dinner including Mike Mussina, Zaiden, Nyla, and three other friends. Then after dinner, they had invited other friends over.

As soon as dinner was in the oven, Brynn told Chandler that she had to go home and get ready. An hour later, there was a knock at his back door.

He thought it was odd that any of his friends would use his back door, but went to answer it anyway. As soon as the door opened, Chandler got a nice surprise. There stood Brynn in a pair of black leather pants and a strapless silver tube top.

"What's wrong, don't like my outfit?" she asked coyly.

Chandler just stared at her as she moved closer to him. "Are you trying to kill me?" he asked when he got his senses back.

  "Now why would I d
o that?" She ran her index finger down the side of his face.

Chandler reached up and pulled her hand away from his face. He spun her around slowly, taking in every inch of her. "God, you're beautiful!"

She didn't have a chance to respond; he was too busy ravaging her lips with his. After the kiss he laughed. "See what you do to me, just by looking at you?"

Brynn laughed. "Well, turnabout's fair play!" She walked away from him and into the kitchen. Chandler followed her like a lost puppy dog. When he walked in, he saw Brynn bent over, taking the food out of the oven directly in front of him. He couldn't tear his eyes away from her round bottom sheathed in black leather.

"I don't think I'll be able to make it through the night...You are staying here, aren't you?"

"Well, I wasn't sure if you wanted me to," Brynn said.

"I want nothing more than to have you in my bed tonight." Chandler looked into her eyes. Brynn nodded, unable to speak when she saw all the feelings and emotions shining there. "Good. Now, do you think you can finish up in here? I need to go take a cold shower before everyone gets here. If I'm not down soon, it's all because of you!"He gave Brynn a quick kiss, then retreated upstairs.

Brynn smiled as she watched him run up the stairs, glad knowing that she was having as much of an effect on him as he was on her. It was going to be a long night!

  Chapter 14

Before Chandler was able to make it back downstairs, some of the dinner guests began showing up. Brynn didn't have any problem entertaining them, especially since Zaiden and Nyla were the first ones there. Zaiden knew the two guys, Pete and Tony, who had shown up after he did, so he helped Brynn by keeping them company until Chandler showed back up. Brynn was thankful to Zaiden for helping her, and she was even seeing him in a whole new light from when they went on their 'date'. Brynn was also happy because it gave her and Nyla some 'girl time' before everyone else started to show up.

"So, things must be getting serious between you and Zaiden! Seeing him again, for what, the third weekend in a row?" Brynn teased.
