Christmas in July (The Kane Family Book 4) Page 5

by C. M. Steele

She giggled when she looked at him. He had to adjust his cock that was very noticeable. He went to her mirror on the dresser and saw how disheveled he looked. She had gotten a hold of his hair and he didn’t even care. The only reason he straightened up was to keep her from being embarrassed. With a quick peck, he led her out of the room and back down to the massive crowd who’d been waiting to congratulate the couple.

Two hours later, Ryan had another surprise for July. They had a honeymoon to Greece to get to. “I told you mind was bigger.” He pointed to the large, private jet with a wink.

  Epilogue

  Three Years Later

The house was drumming with noise and chaos. Christmas was a mad house since Ryan and July had spent the holiday with the Kane family. Thanksgiving had been spent with July’s family, and they would see them in the new year. Their numbers continued to grow since every one of the boys and their sister Danielle married. Babies were coming in rapid succession. July and Ryan were having their second baby in a few months. They had taken time after their son, Cooper was born. He’d been so sweet and happy, so they relished those stolen moments with their little man between working. July was Ryan’s full-time assistant, but she only went into the office twice a week. It had been more than that, but he couldn’t keep his hands off her. She was truly the best of the best, but it was beneficial to have the office at home set up for both of them. They moved from his apartment to a large house out in the suburbs with seven bedrooms and a large office that they decided to share.

On days that she went into the office, Ryan’s parents would take care of Cooper. “Are you ever going to quit working for Ryan?” Rose asked. She was happy being at home with their kids.

“I don’t know. It depends on how this baby goes. With two little ones, it’s going to be hard to get anything done. When I’m home trying to work, Cooper is tugging on my legs, trying to get my attention. The most productive time for me is nap time. The problem is, I’m ready to nap, too.”

“It’s hard just being a mom and try to pee by yourself. I can’t imagine actually working.”

“We’ve talked about taking time off at least until Cooper and this one coming are off to school full time.”

“Then are you two done having babies?” Rose asked.

  “Aren’t you?”

“Ha. Spencer loves me pregnant. It makes him all crazy to see me grow every time. He wants a baseball team.”

“We talked about it and we don’t want to have more than three.”

“Seems like a good number. This is boy number two for you.”

“Are we commiserating over here, ladies?” Candice asked, dragging Danielle with her. “We want in.”

“I don’t. Not if you’re going to be talking dirty about my brothers.”

  “No, we’re not,” July giggled.

“Good, because I’ve been nauseous for days and I don’t think my stomach could handle it.”

“Oh, are you and Reed going to have another baby?”

“Shh…” Danielle put a hand to her mouth. “I don’t know yet.” From her expression Danielle was hoping they were adding another baby.

July turned to look for her husband, and at the same time their eyes met. It seemed he’d been staring at her for a long time. He was holding Cooper in his arms and the little guy was passed out. She smiled at him and said, “Excuse me, ladies.”

Walking up to the man she loved, she brushed Cooper’s hair. “Has he been asleep for long?”

“No, love. Are you ready to go?”

“If you are. We’ve done so much celebrating, I’m exhausted.”

“Exhausted? Like Cooper exhausted or is that the excuse you’re going to give?”

“I want my Santa tonight. I’ve been a very good girl.”

“Santa has you on the naughty list. Come on, let’s say our goodbyes, so I can give you what’s coming to you.” He leaned down and stole a kiss.

The couple made their excuses, but the party was breaking up at the time anyway. It was late and they had celebrated hard with kids opening gifts, eating, cleaning up, and starting all over. The couple couldn’t imagine it getting any better than this.

  Twenty Years Later

After six kids, the couple was done having babies. In all the years, Ryan still had it in him to make her forget everything but him. On several occasions she’d forgotten to take her pills on time, and on every single one of those occasions she had a new little Kane coming. Four boys and two girls had been plenty. Once June was born, July and Ryan had gotten fixed. Even with all their money and love, any more would have been too much. That hadn’t changed their loving at all. In fact, being unable to get pregnant had turned them on more. For the past five years they’d been safe from having babies. Now it was time for little May’s birthday next week and she wanted a pony. She wasn’t going to get one, but the family took a trip down to her parents where she could ride a pretty pony the whole time.

Ryan decided it was time to take his lovely wife for a private ride for themselves. Summer break had been special for their entire clan. They all came down for two weeks. The boys, Cooper, Trent, Dennis, and Jack, went fishing with their Grandpa and some of the Williams clan. The girls, May and June, stayed with grandma and their other female cousins.

“Jules, you look so beautiful today and, well, always.”

“Oh, Ryan. I love how bad your eyesight has gotten.”

“Sweetheart, I have my glasses on and I assure you they are so damn HD that I can see every laugh line, streak of grey hair, and those eyes that caught me from the first time we met. I love you so much. Thank you for this family of ours, but we need some quality you and me time.”

“Where are you taking me?” Ryan had come up with this surprise two years ago during possible investment opportunities. As a way to increase their possible family fortune, he collaborated with the Williams family and opened The Mill Bed and Breakfast. When they pulled up to the newly renovated building with his antique qualities, July gasped.

“Are you serious? When did this place change?”

“Well, since you claimed to live here all those years ago, I’ve waited for a chance to own it. It came up for sale last year and Braxton and Tyler Williams went in on it with me. We’re the first guests. It opens in two days, Mrs. Kane.”

She started to cry, then jumped into Ryan’s arms. “Thank you.”

“Thank you. I couldn’t have been more blessed to have you journey to Boston of all places.”

“Now, as part owners, do you think it would be in our best interests and test the beds and the thinness of the walls?” she asked as they entered the bed and breakfast.

“Wife, great minds think alike. I’ve had just the same idea,” Ryan muttered against her ear, then smiling placed a kiss on her neck.

“Mr. and Mrs. Kane, welcome!” The manager of the bed and breakfast had been hired by Tyler since they lived in the area. The man was about twenty-two and dressed casually in a white polo with khaki pants. It was the same for all employees and had been picked out by Tyler’s wife. Ryan left most of that up to them since he was just a financial backer and silent partner. His priority was making July smile, and he knocked it out of the park on that one.

“Hello, thank you. We would like to be shown to our room, then have dinner brought up to us around seven.” He nodded his head at Ryan, then led them up the stairs to their room.

  “That will be perfect.”

“So, how is it going? Are you all ready for the opening?”

“Yes, sir. We have the entire bed and breakfast booked for the next two weeks, and of course, word of mouth will hopefully fill up the calendar for the month.”

  “Sounds excellent.”

“Please let me know if there’s anything that you need and we’ll be here to serve you.”

He walked us into the large room, showing us the bathroom and the closets and view. A large pool was put out back for guests. “Dinner will normally be on the main floor in th
e large dining room.” Ryan nodded to the young man and saw him out the door. As soon as it was locked, he spun around to see his wife dropping the straps of her dress and letting it fall to the floor.

“I want to make sure it’s well tested before the other guests arrive.”

“Always the business woman. I suppose that I’ll have to get to work.” Ryan smirked at his wife of twenty years. He closed the distance and dropped to his knees. She was wearing a matching bra and panty set that needed to come off. He licked his lips as he looked up at July. Ryan pressed his tongue against the silky fabric, tasting a hint of his wet wife’s flavor. A shaky moan came from her as she gripped the bed post. He wrapped his fingers around the hem and slid them down her thighs, licking her flesh as he moved up to her pussy. It was wet with need as always. Years of marriage hadn’t squashed her desire for Ryan and he could never get enough of her body. Every time she came he wore that as a badge of pride.

They shook the large bed with his sturdy wood frame, banging hard until they were screaming each other’s name. Dinner had been cold by the time they opened the trays covers that the staff brought up earlier. Not wanting them to come into the room, he had them leave it right outside the door.

July blushed when she saw the staff looking at her. They were dressed casually, but that wasn’t why they were staring.

“Oops, I guess the walls aren’t sound proof?” Ryan joked.

“Not enough for us.” July giggled and Ryan smiled.

“Nothing with you will ever be enough. I’m going to make you come again. Where else do we need to make sure the B&B is up to par?” He had that teasing glint in his eyes, but July wasn’t going to waste a holiday of sex with her husband.

“Pool?” she questioned with a quirked brow and Ryan nodded in approval.

The staff heard part of their conversation and made sure to have extra cleaner ready for the new pool. They also made themselves invisible and the cameras off until the time the happy couple checked out.

Mr. and Mrs. Kane made romance a must and gave the Bed and Breakfast a thumb’s up as they left the staff bewildered and envious.

  THE END
