“I have no problem talking to Lance, but he may be more willing to continue whatever we all have if someone – you – worked a little of your magic on him. I have no allusions that Lance wants me by myself. I am just an erotic addition to the mix. How about I leave you two alone tonight and come back tomorrow to see how things are?” Kyle spoke with such passion that Lana could only agree.

“No, Kyle has left to go home and will not be back until sometime tomorrow. He thought that he would give us a little alone time. Is that okay with you?” Lana questioned him.
Lance began to smile. “I love spending time with Kyle but I would love to spend the evening with you even more. That means that I get you all to myself.” Lance thought for a minute. “Well, that’s what I want anyway. Maybe I am being presumptuous. Do you want to spend time with me?” Lance couldn’t keep the emotion out of his voice even though he tried.
“Nothing would please me more than spending today – and tonight – with you. I know that things have moved pretty fast but I enjoy being with you. I hope that you know that.” Lana spoke with sincerity and honesty.
Lance kissed her forehead. “I was hoping that was the way you felt and now I know. I’m glad we both feel the same way. Now go interact with your guests before I take you here on the counter – which I’m sure would be a violation of some kind of health code.”
Lana laughed. “See you soon. This afternoon is just you and me and I have something planned. By the way, can you pack a picnic lunch for us? I want to take you somewhere.”

Chapter 7
“When I said anything, I didn’t think you meant a hike up the back forty!” Lance said with sweat glistening off his face.
Lana laughed as she looked at him following her. “Weeny, it’s only a couple of miles and it is well worth it. There is a mountain fed stream that crosses my property and it is very refreshing after a long hike. As a matter of fact, if you look ahead, you can see the stream that I am leading you to. ”
“Wow, this is gorgeous. I had no idea that this was out here.” Lance spoke with wonder in his voice.
As they walked the rest of the way to the stream, Lana leaned down and spread a blanket on the ground before looking back up at Lance. “This area was what convinced me that I had to have this Bed and Breakfast. The area was so picturesque that I knew this was the one. Michael never argued with me; he just gave me whatever I wanted. I still miss him.”
“If this spot brings back bad memories, why did you bring me here? We can do something else if you want to.” Lance said.
“Michael was my past. I will never forget him and a part of me will always miss and love him. And that is part of the reason that I brought you here today. I want you to be not only in my present but also in my future. I want to put you first in my life and let you know how I feel about you. I figured if I shared this special place with you that you might understand somewhat of what I am feeling.” Lana spoke honestly.
“Lana, you don’t know how glad I am to hear you say that. I want to see what we have also. We may not be meant to be but we will never know if we don’t try.” Lance was excited over what Lana had just told him.
Lana pulled Lance down next to her on the blanket. She pulled him to her side and put her head in his lap and looked up at him. “I need to tell you something and I’m not sure how you are going to take this.” Lana was afraid of what was next to come.
Lance stroked Lana’s hair with one hand and placed his other hand on her thigh. “You can tell me anything, Lana.”
Lana took a deep breathe before beginning. “I want to be with you but I want to be with Kyle also. I don’t want to have to choose. I spoke with Kyle this morning and he would like for all three of us to be in this together but neither of us knows how you would feel about this.”
Lance looked deeply into Lana’s eyes as he spoke. “Lana, while I am not ready, and don’t know if I will ever be ready, to have sex with Kyle, I do love him. He has been the one person in my life that I could always count on. I have feelings for you. If I have to share you with anyone, I’m glad that it is Kyle. And Kyle is wonderful. I love spending time with him. I have no problem with this. Why did you think I would?”
“Well, you have to admit that this is a different kind of arrangement. I know that when I have thought of romantic encounters, I have always thought of two people – not three. But I have to admit that at this point in my life, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Something has been holding me back from having a relationship with Kyle but once you were throw into the mix, everything just clicked and suddenly made sense.” Lana spoke softly as she played with Lance’s hair with her extended hand.
Lance suddenly pushed Lana off of his lap. “Okay, enough talk. We are hot and sweaty. Let’s go for a quick dip in the stream.
” Lance began taking his shirt off.
Lance glanced over at Lana and saw Lana begin unbuttoning her top. As she pulled her shirt free from her body and kicked off her shoes, she began walking toward the water.
Lana looked back at Lance. “Last one in the water is a rotten egg.” She shucked her pants, bra and panties in no time at all and ran into the water.
