by Cosette Hale
Harvey pulled me to his bedroom after a while to escape from the chaos.
“Darlin’, how do you feel?” he asked, worry in his eyes.
“I’m tired,” I said, “but so happy.” He still looked worried.
“What about the miscarriage? Does it affect this baby?” he asked.
“No, and since we’re at the three-month mark, the chance of miscarriage is very low,” I said, loving how he was so anxious about the baby and me.
“OK,” he said, rubbing my tummy, worry clearly still in his eyes. I giggled.
“What do you think? Are you happy?” I said, asking the question I’d been afraid of.
Harvey looked into my eyes and said, “I’ve never been happier, darlin’. Never been happier.” My soon-to-be husband kissed me, and I realized that I, too, had never been happier.
