Ember's Burn: A Steel Demons MC Novel Page 16

by Annelise Reynolds

“M- Ember, we don’t blame you for needing time,” Phoenix said, Piper and Hannah agreeing with nods of their own.

“I didn’t think you would, but I still needed to say I’m sorry and thank you just the same.”

“No, Ember,” Piper spoke up, reaching out a hand and touching mine. “No apologizing. You needed time, you still probably need time, and we will give you as much as you need.”

“Right now, I need a drink, and we need to toast. Come on, let’s go.” I changed the subject.

“The food,” Hannah said. She was shy and reserved, and her mannerisms told me she wasn’t used to having friends. I could relate, though Phoenix and Dotty kept me from completely being closed off. I’m not sure Hannah even had that much.

“Here.” I went and turned the ovens on low to keep it warm. “A few drinks won’t hurt us.”

We all went into the bar, Phoenix hit the music, and we got out a bottle of tequila. The music played as we took a few shots with salt and lemon. When Hannah opened up, she became another person. Her guard was down, and she let her humor show.

“We need to do this more often,” Phoenix said, refilling our shot glasses.

“Girls’ night when the bar and restaurant are closed sounds like a great idea. We can invite Becky and the rest of the girls, too. Just us, here at the bar. No men. It sounds like fun.”

  “I agree.”

“Girls’ night,” Piper toasted. We clinked our glasses together and threw back the shot before sucking on the salted lemons. “Let’s dance.”

The music was pumping through the speakers; the vibrations could be felt through every nerve ending, reverberating in our chests.

We had to pull Hannah out onto the dance floor. She dug in her heels, not wanting to let loose and dance with us, but we pulled her along anyway. She was stiff as a board, but soon realized it was just us girls and got into the music, too.

Piper blew us all away when she approached the pole and started working her way up and down the pole like a professional. We stopped dancing and watched as she moved sensually against the pole; spinning, twisting, and thrusting against the thin pole to the beat of the music.

“Holy shit, Piper! You need to teach me to do that. It would drive Titan insane.” I was in total awe of her skills.

“Hell, yeah, sign me up, too. That makes what I did for Grit look like child's play.”

She laughed and kept swinging around the pole. “You really want to learn?” she asked, grinning as she worked her way to the top of the pole.

Phoenix and I grinned at each other, Hannah was bright red and didn't seem to know what to do with everything she was hearing and seeing. “Ummm yeah!” we said in unison.

“Sure, I can show you a few moves that will drive your boys straight out of their minds and their pants.” Piper smiled and winked, leaning back and stretching her hands and torso off of the pole, but she didn't fall. Using only her legs, she slid down the length of the pole to about a foot above the floor. She arched her back and placed her hands flat on the floor, before doing a backflip off the pole, just as the song ended.

We applauded and cheered for Piper’s erotic dance. “Yes! I need to learn that!” Phoenix said, emphasizing her statement.

“Do you know how to do lap dances as well?” I asked, already plotting something in my head for Titan.

Piper didn't answer, but just nodded her head, her eyes were glued to the back of the bar by the kitchen door. She was nodding to Phoenix, because she was still trying to catch her breath. “Sure, I’ll teach you,” she finally got out. I looked toward the door, wondering what held her so captivated, and Legend was standing there leaning against the wall with the most intense expression I’d ever seen on his face. For a guy who was normally a clown and goofball, the look on his face was chilling, well beyond annoyed. I turned and hid my smile.

Phoenix was about to say something, but I elbowed her to get her to be quiet. She and Hannah whipped around, noticing Legend as well. Hannah's face flushed red in embarrassment at the idea of someone seeing her dancing and Phoenix just rolled her eyes and grinned at his grumpy expression.

“We better go back and get the food out. I’m sure everybody’s getting hungry by now,” Hannah mumbled and high tailed it back to the kitchen, doing her best to avoid making eye contact with Legend’s intimidation tactics.

“Seriously, Legend, did you have to scare her?” I scolded him, clapping my hands on my hips. This was my sad attempt at trying to draw his focus off of a fidgety Piper.

“She’ll get over it,” he growled, quickly glancing at me and then his eyes flashing right back to Piper. I look at Phoenix, and we were on the same wavelength. We each looped our arms through Piper’s and walked toward the door, leaving Legend with no other option than to follow us. “Thanks,” Piper whispered, just loud enough for Abby and me to hear over the music.

“You two go on out.” I propelled Phoenix and Piper forward and blocked Legend behind me. “I’ll help Hannah with the food.”

Once they were out the door, I spun around and looked at Legend. He wasn't as tall as Grit or Titan, but I still had to look up at him a long way. Dammit, being short sucked! I needed my heels for a moment like this because standing tall when you’re this short makes you look like an angry Brat doll. “Seriously, Legend?”

Tension was still radiating off him. “What?” He looked down at me.

“If you want her that bad, do you think intimidating her or glaring at her is the way to get her?”

“I don't want her. She comes with too many complications.”

Damn, he’s an ass, and a stupid ass at that. “Good. I'm glad you feel that way.”

“You are?” He looked at me and raised his brow. His brown eyes were gorgeous and deep, he was a nice looking guy, but a total ass when it came to Piper.

“Yes, of course. It would be awkward if you had real feelings for her and I tried to set her up with Chink. I got to know him some, and he's a nice guy. I think he'll make a good dad to Declan.”

“No he wouldn't,” Legend gritted out.

“Why’s that? You don't think he'd be mean to him?” I acted appalled at the thought. Legend’s jaw was clenched tight and the scruff on his face only enhanced his strong features. God, he was easy. I liked being on this side of it. With Grit and Phoenix, and Piper and Legend, things were so much easier to see and deal with than my own stuff with Titan.

“No, he'd be dead.” Legend walked around me and out the swinging kitchen door without another word.

Piper and Phoenix both came from the kitchen. As soon as she was out, Piper walked back like there was a Demon on her tail. When an angry Legend followed out a few minutes later, I figured my assessment was spot on.

“What were y'all doing?” Grit asked Phoenix when Legend came to sit at the table, still glaring at Piper.

“No, I'm not ruining my surprise.” Phoenix was perched back on Grit’s lap. She grinned at Piper who was glaring back at Legend, not even paying attention to what was going on.

Declan was sitting beside me, playing with his cars. He was reaching and driving the car across the table around the glasses of water, making screeching noises as he turned the car on two wheels. I reached out to move his glass away when his hand hit it and spilled the ice water right into Legend’s lap. Legend jumped up, ice falling from his lap onto the floor. Declan hopped up from his chair and into Piper’s lap. He seemed to shrink and make himself as small as possible.

“I'm sorry, Mommy! I'm sorry! It was an accident!”

The car was forgotten on the table and water streamed onto the floor as everybody fell silent and listened to the boy’s sobs. Piper hugged him close, holding his head to her chest. Her eyes were closed and silent tears slipped from beneath her lids as she tried to soothe her son.

“Shhhhh, baby, I know. It's ok. It's Mommy’s fault, she wasn't watching.” She kissed his head.

  “It wasn't your fault.”
Piper opened her eyes, shocked, and was about to say something when Legend held up his hand and continued. “It's not anybody’s fault, accidents happen. Come here, Declan.” He waited while Declan scooted warily off his mother’s lap and walked around the table. When he stood in front of Legend, just out of arm’s reach, his shoulders were hunched and he looked at his shoes.

Legend squatted down on his haunches to get on eye level with the scared kid. “No reason to cry, Little Man, and there’s no reason to be afraid of anyone here. Nobody’s gonna hurt you or your mama, not again.” Declan used the backs of his hands to wipe his eyes and nodded. “We’ll let them get this cleaned up, how about you go with me? We’ll go clean ourselves up. I have an extra pair of pants in my truck.”

Declan looked to Piper for silent permission, and she nodded. He smiled up at Legend, who lifted the kid up onto his shoulders. He squealed and laughed, his fear forgotten. “Look, Mommy, I'm tall!”

Piper cleared her throat. “I see that. Listen to Legend and no going in the street.”

“Ok, Mommy.” They walked away and nobody moved. All eyes were on Piper, but she ignored us and got up. Her hands were shaking as she reached toward the mess on the table, grabbing napkins to soak up the water.

“How bad was it?” Phoenix asked, reaching over and placing her hand on top of Piper’s as she soaked up the liquid into napkins.

“I survived, it's what I do. I always just survive.” Piper refused to meet anyone’s eyes. She pulled her hand from beneath Phoenix’s and walked away without glancing at anyone.

“Brice,” Phoenix said his name softly with emotion.

  “Yeah, baby.”

  “I love you.”

I got up and went in search of McKenzie to let them have a moment alone. Phoenix was still raw with everything that happened with her parents and McKenzie. She felt a lot of unnecessary guilt, and Piper’s past marriage and the way her son just acted probably ripped her in two. Thankfully, McKenzie hadn't come back to see it.

I went into the kitchen and found McKenzie and Hannah arguing. “What the hell happened?”

“Leave it alone. It’s none of your business. It's nobody’s business.”

“McKenzie, what's going on?” I looked between the two women. Hannah quickly turned her back to me, and I heard her make a small sound. McKenzie’s face softened, and she whispered something back to her.

“Nothing, it's a misunderstanding is all,” she said loud enough for me to hear. Then grabbed a tray of food and headed out to the dining room.

Since the restaurant was closed today, we pushed tables together and made it a big self-serve buffet. Ink came in the front door, irritated.

  “Where've you been?”

“You know old man Vick had a heart attack?”

  “No, how'd you find out?”

“When I went to pay for Piper’s car, I was shocked he wasn't there.”

“Legend didn't say anything about it when he dropped the car off, other than there was a hot piece of ass he wanted to stick his dick in running the desk.” I knew I shouldn't have said it the second the words left my mouth, and sure enough, Piper was back. She shook her head and headed for the front door without a word, most likely looking for Declan to get him away from Legend. “Fuck!”

“Dammit, Titan, really?” Phoenix hopped off Grit’s lap and went in search of Piper. McKenzie glared at me and shoved the tray she was carrying into my hands, then followed Phoenix.

I sighed and shoved the tray at Ink, knowing Grit was going out after his woman too. As long as Richards and his son were still out there, McKenzie and Phoenix needed to be protected.

The scene I saw when Grit and I walked out the door was comical. Declan was sitting on the top of Legend’s truck his legs hanging down. Piper was yelling at Legend, Legend was in his boxer briefs and boots, a fresh pair of jeans in his hands, getting turned on by Piper’s angry outburst and trying to shield the kid or anyone else from seeing it, which left it wide open for us on the sidewalk to see, and Phoenix and McKenzie were both staring at Legend, mouths gaping.

I walked over to McKenzie, spun her around and kissed her hard, reminding her who she belonged to. I heard Phoenix squeak, and tell Grit to put her back down, followed by the sound of an ass being slapped as he walked away carrying her over his shoulder.

“Next time you look at Legend, make sure to keep your mouth closed. He may take it as an invitation to shove it down your throat.” I was joking with her, Legend wouldn't dare touch my old lady. He'd be missing that dick he's so damn proud of.

“I thought you were big. He doesn't hurt women with that does he?” She was curious and embarrassed, and her lack of experience, real experience, was limited to just me, a fact I liked.

“It's partly how he got his name. The legend is, after one ride, a woman won't walk right.” It wasn't really legend, it was fact. More than one of the club girls wobbled from his room and said no to the other brothers after they spent the night with Legend. Piper would have her hands full if she ever gave him the time of day.

  “They go back for more?”

“Yes. Remember that pleasure in pain I told you about? Well, they find a lot of pleasure out of the pain it causes. He goes as slow as he can and gets them as ready as he can before he penetrates. He's not in the habit of hurting women for fun. His size may hurt for a minute, but in the moment, all the women feel is pleasure.”

  “Titan.”

  “Yes.”

“I'm glad you’re not that big.”

Titan laughed, pulled me under his arm, and led me back to the bar. Grit had already taken Phoenix inside and they were sitting at the table. She was in his lap, her head tilted back as he kissed the column of her neck. I’d never seen my best friend in any kind of embrace before, I looked around, and there was more than one embrace going on. Ink had Erin on his lap and Dozer had another girl on his. His hands were on her breasts as she was kissing Chink. “Oh. My. God,” I whispered. Titan pulled me tightly against him, his hard cock nestled between the globes of my ass.

“This is what it looks like at the clubhouse most of the time, only a lot more skin showing and a lot more activity.”

“Titan, Declan is coming back in any second. He doesn’t need to see this,” I whispered back to him though my eyes were glued to Chink’s hand as it disappeared beneath the girl’s short mini skirt. Dozer pulled her legs apart and from my spot I could tell she, like me, wasn’t wearing panties. Her hips were pushing against Chink’s hand. I watched as her pussy disappeared behind it. Both men were kissing on her neck working their way down to her breasts, and her head was resting on Chink’s shoulder and her eyes were on the men touching her. She was moaning in pleasure at what they were doing to her. I couldn’t take my eyes away. I watched as Dozer’s fingers disappeared in her ass and Chink’s still worked her pussy with his.

“Dozer. Chink.” I jumped at Titan’s voice behind me. “Take it upstairs, the kid will come back in a minute.” Dozer pulled away and walked toward the stairs, grabbing another one of the girls on his way. Chink stood and picked the girl up – I really needed to learn these girls’ names – she wrapped her legs around his waist and held on as he carried her upstairs out of sight.

“Do you want to join them?” Titan whispered into my ear.

I felt torn. Part of me wanted to see what was going on upstairs, but the other part of me was ashamed at the thought. Titan slipped his hand into the front of my jeans, there was no hiding my arousal, the fabric was soaked because of what I just saw. I leaned my head back into Titan’s shoulder, my eyes were at half-mast as pleasure rippled through me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Phoenix look at me and smile.

“Let’s go upstairs.” Titan’s voice was gruff with his own need for me. His cock was rigid and ready for relief.

We went up the stairs, I didn’t know what I was seeing was even possible, but they were doing it. Dozer was on the floor, the girl that had both their fing
ers in her downstairs was riding him, Chink was in her ass, and the other girl Dozer picked up was straddling his face as he ate her. They looked like a jigsaw puzzle of human bodies, and Titan and I watched the scene as it unfolded.

“Lena loves double penetration. She loves feeling full of cock,” Titan whispered into my ear. He was leaning against the wall, and I was leaning against him. “Chink and Dozer love to share their women. It’s not uncommon to have scenes like this at the clubhouse. Most of the time, it’s just one woman for the two of them. The fact that they brought Kelly along is new.” My breath was coming fast as I continued to watch them. Lena was moaning and crying out as she came and I watched as Kelly sped up and ground herself down harder onto Dozer’s mouth.

I watched the four as they fucked. I wondered if I’d have a hard time looking at Chink the same way, but decided no, it wouldn't change how I looked at him. I was so turned on by watching as they changed positions. Dozer moved the girl off his mouth and pulled out of Lena who protested until the other girl took his place under her, eating her pussy as Chink continued to pound her ass. He didn't waste any time starting to thrust into the girl, as she continued to eat the other girl. They were all groaning, moaning, and panting as they came closer to release.

Titan had enough watching, he led me to the room beyond. We would not be joining the foursome, and I was relieved. Watching was one thing, participating was a totally different story.

We locked ourselves into the room above the bar, and while the sex was explosive before, this rocked my world. I never thought it was possible for a woman to ejaculate like a man does, but I was so wet from the visual stimulation and all I had seen and witnessed, that I couldn’t help the flow of cum I released with the multiple orgasms Titan gave me. After living so many years in hell, I finally knew what heaven was like.
