Retribution [Federal Paranormal Agency 3] (Siren Publishing Everlasting Classic ManLove) Page 4

It was so sad. He’d never had a personal relationship with any of them, but he still mourned the loss just the same. They were all vampires. They were from the same coven. And they were attacked and killed like animals. Hell, his picture could be on this board. It was depressing. He just hoped the FPA agents would be able to find the person responsible and put this to a stop once and for all.

Pulling out one of the chairs, Reyes sat down and leaned back, staring up at the ceiling. As the minutes ticked by, he started thinking about heading back to the mansion. Should he stay or should he go? He’d like to call and check-in with the coven, but he’d turned in his cell phone at the front desk when he’d signed in to be interviewed.

Reyes jerked upright when he heard a sound on the other side of the closed door. He jumped out of the chair, trying to stand casually beside it, as the door swung open. Reyes clasped his hands in front of him to stop from fidgeting.

When a man walked into the room, Reyes froze completely. He stared at the guy, slowly drowning in his vibrant green eyes. This man looked too good to be true, as if he’s stepped right out of Reyes’s dreams and into his reality. The blood in his veins sang. Every fiber of his being seemed to recognize this man. This was him. This was his True Match.

  “Wow,” he breathed out quietly.

The man grinned, his white fangs peeking out from under his top lip. Vampire. He walked toward Reyes. When he was standing in front of him, he held out his hand and Reyes immediately took it. A warm tingle started at his fingertips, moving up his arm, as a jolt of awareness passed through Reyes. He knew the other man felt it, too. He stiffened and his pupils dilated, the greens of his eyes turning almost black.

Reyes’s fangs tingled as they lengthened, the sharp points desperately wanting to sink into this man’s shoulder, to mark and claim. He needed to drink the other vampire’s blood. He had to taste the man on his tongue.

“Evan Vexen,” he said, introducing himself.

Reyes sucked in a breath, trying to put his libido in check, when all he could think about was Evan’s full, kissable lips against his own. I’m supposed to introduce myself. Shaking his head, he cleared his mind, pushing the dirty thoughts away.

  “Reyes Caliar.”

  Evan smiled. “It’s a pleasure.”

“The pleasure’s all mine.” It sounded like a hokey line from a movie, but it was all he could manage.

Their hands slowly separated and they both took a step forward. They were a breath away, staring into each other’s eyes – his blue clashing with Evan’s green. All it would take was one more step and their bodies would be touching. The anticipation sparked, growing out of control, until Reyes was trembling.

He’d never felt anything like this before. An overwhelming need consumed him, gripping his heart in a tight vise. He couldn’t breathe, couldn’t even move. His world revolved around Evan, and if he didn’t touch or kiss the man standing in front of him, Reyes was afraid he’d lose his mind.

Keeping his feet planted on the ground, Reyes leaned forward, his lips crashing against Evan’s. The other vampire reacted immediately. His arms wrapped around Reyes’s waist, like steel bands, and he pulled Reyes in close. Their bodies connected, aligning perfectly—chest against chest. Reyes sighed, his mouth opening to accept Evan’s questing tongue. Nothing had ever felt so right.

Their tongues danced, moving in harmony as if they had done this hundreds of times before. Reaching out, Reyes grabbed hold of Evan’s biceps, moving his hands up to rest on the man’s shoulders.

This is happening. Oh, god. This is really happening.

Reyes moaned, gripping Evan’s shoulders. He dug the blunt tips of his nails into the man’s leather jacket, holding him in place.

Evan’s cool hands touched the skin on Reyes’s lower back. He shivered, goose bumps breaking out along his flesh. Evan’s hands moved up, skimming the length of his back along his spine. Their lips disconnected, but only for a moment, as Evan pulled Reyes’s shirt off and dropped it to the floor. His fingertips glided along Reyes’s sides, coming to a stop on his hips. Evan flexed his fingers, as if to send Reyes a secret message. Should I continue or do you want me to stop?

Reyes didn’t want to stop. He never wanted to stop. He sucked Evan’s bottom lip into his mouth, gently biting the meaty flesh. Evan’s entire body jerked and he groaned, tightening his hold on Reyes. He ran his hands under the leather jacket, pushing the material off Evan’s shoulders before tearing off the man’s T-shirt. He wanted Evan naked. Reyes wanted to touch and taste.

  * * * *

Evan’s cock pressed against the front of his jeans, begging for release. He was sure that with a bit more friction, he’d lose it completely, and come in his pants. Reyes moved against him, his hips swerving, as he tried to get closer. The sweet scent of True Match’s arousal left Evan’s head spinning and his body aching.

He definitely hadn’t been planning this when he walked through the conference room door. But he didn’t have the strength to stop it either. He wanted Reyes. There was no denying the immediate draw to the man meant to be his.

Evan moved his hands along the edge of Reyes’s jeans. He grabbed the top button and pulled. Like a domino effect, the other buttons broke free. Evan slipped his hand through the gap in the denim and ran his palm along Reyes’s straining erection.

Reyes gasped, disconnecting their lips. “Fuck!”

“Oh, we are,” he practically purred.

Reyes brought out the beast in him. Spinning Reyes around, Evan pushed a chair out of the way, as he bent the man over the conference room table. Evan leaned over Reyes’s back, his chest pressing against the man’s slick skin, as he covered his True Match. Evan planted open mouthed kisses along Reyes’s neck, gently running the sharp points of his teeth along his shoulder.

“Oh, fuck.” Reyes groaned, sexy little sounds spilling from his lips. He moved his hips, pushing his ass back against Evan’s cock, and Evan knew he wasn’t going to last much longer.

Evan moved back, kneeling on the ground behind Reyes. He removed Reyes’s shoes, before pulling the man’s pants down along with his briefs. Evan took a moment to just enjoy the view. This was his True Match, naked and exposed. He was so beautiful that Evan didn’t have the enough words to express to true feelings.

Gripping Reyes’s meaty ass cheeks, he squeezed the flesh. Evan leaned forward and licked Reyes’s crease. He swirled his tongue around the puckered hole, coating his ass in a thick coat of saliva. Evan pushed his tongue into Reyes’s ass and the man went wild, his entire body jerking. Reyes lifted up his leg, resting his knee on the table, opening himself up further.

Using his finger, he circled Reyes’s hole, massaging the skin before slowly pressing the digit into Reyes’s ass.

“Oh, yeah…” Reyes moaned. He swiveled his hips in a circular motion, pushing his ass back, and Evan’s finger sank in deep. “So good…”

Evan moved his hand, slowly pumping his finger. He added another digit, stretching his lover. Reyes shouted out his pleasure, impaling his ass on Evan’s fingers.

“You’re so beautiful.” Evan kissed Reyes’s ass cheek, before gently biting down.

Reyes looked over his shoulder and their eyes connected. He licked his lower lip. “Please…”

Evan pulled his fingers free and stood. He unbuttoned his jeans, and unzipped, pushing the denim material down his legs. Evan spit on his hand before jacking his shaft. It was the best he could do under the circumstances—they were inside the conference room at FPA headquarters and there wasn’t any lube.

Evan pressed the head of his aching shaft against Reyes’s ass. He applied a small bit of pressure and his cock slid past the tight ring of muscle, sinking into Reyes’s welcoming body. He covered the man’s back with his chest, moving his hands down Reyes’s arms, and intertwined their fingers on top of the table.

“You feel so good,” he whispered against Reyes’s neck.

Reyes sighed, tilting his head back against
Evan’s shoulder. “So do you.”

Evan started a rhythm, pulling his hips back before sinking into Reyes’s body once again. He slowly built up his speed and Reyes matched his movements, pushing his ass back. Their bodies moved together, writhing, skin slapping skin. Evan picked up his pace, fucking Reyes in hard, deep strokes. Sparks of pleasure raced through his system, blurring his vision. He drove his cock in and out of his True Match’s ass.

He was in heaven. Being inside Reyes, Evan realized that this was the closest he’d ever get.

Evan leaned back. He shoved his fingers through Reyes’s short hair. Gripping his scalp in a tight hold, Evan forced Reyes to turn his head. He connected their mouths in a hard kiss, pushing his tongue into Reyes’s mouth. He wasn’t soft and sweet. Evan fucked Reyes’s ass as he took the man’s mouth, aggressive and wild. His gums tingled, sharp fangs lengthening. He ran the edges along Reyes’s lower lip, nicking the skin. He tasted his True Match’s blood and growled.

“Oh, fuck.” Reyes panted, his eyes glazed over. “Bite me. Oh, gods…I need you to bite me.”

Evan kissed Reyes’s jaw. He licked a trail down the man’s neck and felt the pulsing vein. He struck, puncturing the vein. Rich, warm blood flowed from the wound, over his tongue, and down his throat. The man tasted exquisite. He gently sucked, feeding from his True Match while marking and claiming the man meant to be his. Reyes belonged to him. Other paranormals would see his mark and know.

Reyes shouted out his name, his body jerking. The scent of his release surrounded them and pushed Evan over the edge. He pumped his hips, his muscles flexing, as his cock emptied deep within Reyes’s body. Evan licked his bite closed. He wrapped his arms around Reyes, holding him tight as he kissed the man’s neck, jaw, and cheek.

It took a minute for Evan to get his bearings. The aftershocks of his intense climax rolled through his system and his muscles spasmed uncontrollably. When his world stopped spinning, and he was able to see straight, Evan pulled his weight off Reyes’s back. He grabbed his T-shirt from the floor and tried to clean Reyes up.

Reyes groaned. He pushed himself up, off the conference table, and turned around a big smile on his face. “Wow.”

Evan chuckled. “I think you said that already.”

  He nodded. “It’s the truth.”

Evan held out his arms and Reyes walked into his embrace. “It’s your turn, love. You have to bite me.” He couldn’t wait to feel Reyes’s teeth sink into his vein.

Reyes pushed his face under Evan’s chin. The man kissed his throat, licking his Adam’s apple, as he continued to move his mouth along Evan’s neck to his vein. Reyes’s teeth scraped the skin right above his vein and Evan shuddered in anticipation. Reyes slowly sank his teeth into Evan’s skin. The sharp pain was quickly chased by extreme pleasure.

He tightened his arms around Reyes’s waist, as Reyes drank from him. The man marked and claimed him, sealing their bond.

  Chapter Six

With his head on Evan’s chest and his left leg thrown over the man’s waist, they held each other on the floor of the conference room. It wasn’t the most comfortable place, but Reyes couldn’t think of anywhere else he’d rather be. He was still slightly dazed after meeting his True Match.

Evan kissed the top of his head. “I should’ve taken you to my place. Having sex in the conference room is usually frowned upon and it’s not very romantic for our first time together.”

“Uh-oh.” Reyes grinned. “Are we going to get into trouble?”

“It’s frowned upon, but it still happens.”

  “I don’t regret a thing,” Reyes said honestly. “I don’t need romance.”

“Maybe not, but you deserve it.” Evan cupped his jaw, running his thumb along Reyes’s cheek.

Reyes kissed Evan before dropping his head back down onto the man’s chest. He tried to close his eyes and ignore the pictures on the board, but he couldn’t. The happy moment with his True Match slowly dissolved as he looked at the photos.

“Do you really think you’ll be able to solve this case?”

Evan slowly sat up, pulling Reyes into his arms as he turned him. “I’m sorry about the board.” He shielded Reyes’s eyes as if he were trying to hide the ugliness of the world away. “I’ve been working this case day and night. I even enlisted the other agents to help when I realized how big this really was. We’re going to find the person responsible. There are so many unanswered questions.” He sighed. “I can’t help but think that if I had the answers, I would be able to solve this case.”

“I wish I would’ve been able to see his face, but I only saw his back as he was running toward the gate.”

“Do you know of anyone that would want to hurt your coven?”

“No.” Reyes shook his head. “I’ve been racking my brain, trying to figure out who would want to hurt us or why they would want to kill the members in my coven, but I can’t think of anything. I honestly have no idea why this is happening. And I don’t think anyone else in the coven knows either.”

Evan looked disappointed. It was obvious he took his job very seriously and Reyes respected him for it. He was on the hunt for a killer. Reyes just hoped he wouldn’t get caught in the middle. He didn’t want anything to happen to his True Match. Wrapping his arms around Evan’s neck, he held him tight.

“Hey.” Evan rubbed his hands up and down Reyes’s back. “Are you okay? What’s wrong?”

“I can’t lose you.” Reyes wasn’t sure where the fear came from, but it bubbled to the surface, scaring the hell out of him. “I’ve lost too much.” His parents died in a fire and his brother left him. Reyes wouldn’t be able to survive if something tragic happened to his True Match. His heart couldn’t take anymore loss and pain.

“I’m a good agent, Reyes. I hunt down rogues and save innocent lives. I’m not going to lie to you. It can be dangerous, but I won’t be reckless and I’ll always come home.”

Reyes didn’t know what to say in response so he just nodded his head. He wished all of his doubts and fears would magically wash away, but they held onto him like little parasites.

  “Let me take you home.”

Reyes’s shoulders dropped. He didn’t want to go home. He wanted to stay in this room with his body wrapped around Evan’s. Reyes couldn’t remember the last time someone held him or even touched him in an intimate way. He’d kept himself separated for so long, not wanting to get too close because he was afraid of losing someone else he might love.

Reyes kissed Evan’s cheek before dropping his arms. Pushing himself up, Reyes collected his clothing off the floor and got dressed.

  “Are you okay?”

“Yeah.” Reyes nodded, even though it was a lie. “I’m just tired. With everything that’s happening, it’s been difficult to sleep. When it all started, everyone was ordered back to the coven.”

“Come on.” Evan wrapped his arm around Reyes’s waist, pulling him close. They walked out of the conference room, Evan leading him down the hallway toward the elevators.

Reyes leaned into Evan’s side, enjoying the rest of their time together. They were officially mated. I found my True Match. It was so unbelievable that Reyes had to keep reminding himself that this was real.

When he was younger, Reyes used to watch his parents together. They were so in love and showed their affection freely, holding hands and kissing. He could still see them inside his mind. His mom had been the one to tell him about soul mates and what a real True Match was. He could hear her voice even now inside his head. One day when you least expect it, you’ll meet your perfect match and your blood will sing in your veins. When his eyes landed on Evan’s, he’d known. It was instantaneous.

Evan pressed his finger against the call button when they reached a bank of elevators. A red light flashed, before turning blue, and the doors opened. When they stepped inside, Evan stood in front of the camera. A light beam projected from the device, performing a retinal scan.

“Holy shit,” Reyes muttered, his b
rows shooting up. “I’ve never seen a security system this intense before.”

“The only way anyone can come into FPA headquarters or into our condo building is if they’re escorted by an agent or live there. Our security system is impenetrable. Our tech guru, Axel Lee, is the one of the best hackers in the world. He’s thought of everything when it comes to our safety.”

When the doors closed, the elevator started moving sideways. It was slightly unsettling since he’d been expecting it to move the normal direction—up or down. “What’s going on?”

“I told you, I’m taking you home.” Evan leaned over and kissed Reyes’s nose.

“But the elevator is moving the wrong way,” Reyes pointed out, even though it was obvious.

Evan chuckled. “This elevator moves underground, parallel with the subway to our building. I’m taking you home,” he emphasized.

Home. Evan was taking him to his house, not back to the coven, like he’d assumed. When was the last time he thought of a place as a real home? Not since losing his parents had any living situation been permanent, nor did any place feel right.

  * * * *

Evan could understand Reyes’s confusion. He wasn’t very clear when he said he was taking Reyes home. It seemed obvious to him since Reyes was his True Match, but the young man seemed surprised, as if he believed Evan would be dropping him back off at the coven. As soon as Reyes realized that Evan wasn’t taking him to the coven, his whole demeanor changed.

It didn’t take long before the elevator doors opened into his private entryway. With his arm wrapped around Reyes’s waist, Evan led the man inside. Reyes tilted his head, curiously looking around.
