Lilly's Torment [Beyond the Veil 2] (Siren Publishing Ménage Amour) Page 22

by Honor James

“Not hedging, still waking up. Need to ensure you get all that you need.” He smiled down at her. “Don’t want to disappoint you in any way, so I’m just making sure I’m fully awake and able to comprehend all we are doing so you get one hell of an orgasm.”

“Oh, I am always down for a hell of an orgasm. I will never turn one of those down,” she teased with a smile. “So please, take your time in waking up so that you can definitely give me all that you can give me. If you wouldn’t mind?”

“Not in the least,” he chuckled softly. Yawning, he turned his head to the side. “Sorry,” he muttered when he was done. Pressing his nose to her neck, he nipped at her skin lightly. “Tell me what you’ve been up to since you crawled out of bed this morning.”

“Well, I showered and ate, and Ax and I have been trying to figure out just how many pieces of furniture we can make love on.” She didn’t even blink when she said it. She just simply told him like it was. “I really, really want and need for you to show me just how often I can make love to you as well, darling.”

“When I’m awake, any damn time you want and anywhere. I have zero shame. Never have, never will, just as Ax.” He laughed softly and kissed her shoulder, his tongue sliding over her skin lightly. “I think I’m the reason that man acts like he’s about to go postal more times than not.”

“Oh that’s a damn good thing. I’m glad that you have no shame. I really am. I am very happy that you are willing to give me anything that I want, anywhere that I want. I really and truly do want to be able to have you making love with me everywhere and anywhere that we can do it.”

“You’re babbling,” he commented with another laugh. Lifting his head, Gavriel stared down at her. “It’s adorable, but really unnecessary, my dear. Now, I should likely mention,” he said a moment before he slid his cock into her pussy. “I am fully awake and more than raring to go on seeing how many orgasms I can give you before Ax comes up to find out why you’re not ready to leave yet.”

“Oh, I am so down for that idea,” she moaned. “I really think we should see just how many times we can both come. I want to feel you spilling inside of me time and again. I need that. I love the way that it feels,” she admitted.

He let out a soft hum as he grinned at her. “You have some of the best ideas ever. But you better come up with a hell of a plan while I give you these orgasms on how to keep Artaxias on his leash. When he has a plan, he really hates being thwarted.”

“Well then, you better get busy. I think you need to get us both off at least once before he comes up here and tries to take me from you so that we can go and work?” she asked with a smile. “So come on babe, fuck me.”

“Ooh, a challenge.” He laughed deeply. “I love it,” he growled softly. Kissing her hard, he set to giving her just what she demanded. And the man definitely did not skimp on anything. His hands were on her breasts, massaging and tweaking her nipples, all while he was torturing her with long and short thrusts of his cock.

Lilly moaned, shuddered, and moved right along with him. She loved this feeling, she loved the way that it felt to have him doing anything at all to her. “There.” She clenched her hands in his hair, tugged him closer, and demanded more.

Flicking her nipples, he sucked lightly on her neck, his tongue darting out to tease her skin. Then one of his hands moved, grabbing her leg and pulling it up higher on his body. His hips moved faster, his cock hitting deeper while he tormented her on all fronts.

Lilly cried out, pure need and pleasure ringing through her voice. She sobbed, she couldn’t help herself. It felt so very, very good to have him taking her as he was. Hell yes, she loved it.

Her orgasm tore through her, suddenly and sharply. Gavriel’s voice was sharp as he came with her, calling her name as they both vibrated from the explosion they’d created together. Then they collapsed, panting hard and desperately, still holding one another tight as their bodies continued to shiver together.

Lilly was all smiles. “Goodness,” she whispered and stroked her hands over his shoulders and back. “I really, really love the way that feels. I love the feeling of you doing that to me. So very, very much so. I swear, I think I saw stars.” In a good way, too.

His chuckle sent little jolts through her body where they were still connected intimately. “I know I did, they were quite sparkly and wonderful,” he said. Rolling them to the side, he kept her tight to him, not losing their connection.

“I love that we are so fully and totally connected,” she whispered softly. “I love the feelings of having you inside of me.” Lilly was strange. She loved the feeling of being one with her men, and when it was all three of them it was sheer and pure perfection to her.

“Well I have to admit, I do like being buried deep inside of you as well.” He chuckled. Kissing her, he leaned back a little and stretched. “I suppose I should get up and you should get dressed for your day at the office. Especially since I can’t hear anything downstairs, likely not a good sign.”

“Yes, we should get up and get dressed. I do need to get into the office and helping Ax. I know that you need to get some more rest as well, so that you can work tonight.” She snuggled against him with a slow sigh and then looked up at him. “Are you sure that you are going to be okay alone, without us here?”

“I’m sure I can manage to fend for myself for a few hours. Oh, it will be a mighty hardship, and you may return to find my body curled up on the floor, unable to continue onward. But I shall try with all my might to make it work.” Throwing a hand up, he pressed it to his forehead in a dramatic move.

“What a load of shit,” Artaxias said from right behind her where she lay.

Lilly laughed, she couldn’t help herself. “Oh god, that’s priceless. Even I know just what a crock that is,” Lilly told Gavriel with a grin. “You are too funny. Don’t give up your day job for an acting career, mister. It would really suck to be you, because I don’t think you would get a steady job acting. You are far too dramatic.”

“What are you two going on about? That was primo shit,” he said, glaring at her and then over her shoulder. His expression quickly went to the “uh-oh” look one got when caught with their hand in the cookie jar. “Someone doesn’t look all that pleased at the moment,” he told her in a not-so-very-quiet tone of voice. Not that it would have mattered, apparently Artaxias had the hearing of a bloody bat.

Looking back at Ax, Lilly smiled. “How about you help me up out of bed so that I can get redressed and we can go in to work?” Now she would smell like both of her men. She loved it. Holding her hand out, she wiggled her fingers. “Come on, Ax. Help me out?”

He turned his eyes her way and cocked a brow at her. For a long moment he just stared, and then he took her hand, his hold ever gentle, but firm. Something she’d noticed about him was that, he was always extremely careful with his strength, even during sex, or perhaps she should say, especially during sex. He drew her to a sitting position. “Hurry up.” It was all he said to her.

Lilly got up on her knees and wrapped her arms around Ax’s shoulders to pull him close and hug him. “I love you, too, big guy,” she assured him and let him pull her from the bed. Reaching down after a moment, she grabbed her clothes and pulled them on. Turning, she looked at Gavriel and smiled. “Be good, Gav. No hurting our home or the things in it,” she teased him. “And get some more rest.”

“I plan on it as soon as you noisy people leave,” he said. With a wave, he pulled a pillow over his head and disappeared under the blankets once more.

Artaxias was waiting for her in the doorway and took her hand when she got close enough. Moving through the house, they left quickly. She knew she’d thrown a kink in his schedule but she wasn’t going to apologize. Not when it was one of her mates that had been the amazing distraction to the schedule.

Lilly grinned stupidly, she couldn’t help herself. “Do you know just how much I adore smelling like the two of you? Knowing that the Luhpynes, Vhampires, and Ahnjels will all smel
l you both on me, it does a great deal to me. I know that’s silly, but there it is. I love smelling like my mates.”

“It’s not silly,” he said, shaking his head at her. “It’s a territorial thing and one I fully approve of. It lets the others know to keep their mitts off you or we’ll do them great bodily harm. Well, I will. Gav would likely make them kill themselves by talking until their ears bled.”

Lilly laughed. “He really is very young compared to you, isn’t he?” Gavriel was still far older than Lilly, but to Ax, he was likely a youngling. “He has a great deal of energy. He just needs something to turn that energy to. He needs to just simply figure out how to channel that energy so that he doesn’t drive us all batty.”

“He is young, yes,” he said, his attention never wavering from the road. “Still haven’t figured out how he managed to survive his childhood without being drowned by me. It was damn close a few times, and would have been so simple, too. Fortunately for him, I was obviously having doubts.”

“Well, I for one am very happy that you didn’t drown him as a child,” she teased him. “I take it that you were able to get his mother’s communication device deactivated so she isn’t constantly bugging you?” she asked hopefully.

“Yes, but I also had mine removed. The other part of it remains, it’s fused with the bone there, but the chip that controls it all has been taken out. I’m going old school and sticking with a cellular device. It’s a little less convenient but much better than my brain rattling about in my skull when someone is impatient to reach me.”

“Good. I’m glad that you were able to do something to cut out that pain that she gave you.” She went serious for a moment and asked him, “Her condition, is it life threatening?” She hoped not. She understood what it was to lose those that you loved. She didn’t want Gav to ever have that feeling.

“At the moment, no. But it could potentially get there. As she is magically inclined, like all Spirytes are, the magic may in time start to backfire. Because of this disease that is starting to eat away at her mind, she may not remember the safeties for the magic she holds within. And, if that happens, she could very well hurt herself or, Gods forbid, kill herself without any intent.”

“Oh dear god,” she whispered in utter shock. “That’s terrible,” she admitted to him quietly. “I don’t know how Gavriel would handle that. He’s very much a family man, he loves his mother and I’m afraid that would hurt him if that happened to her.”

“That’s why he has us, to help him if it comes to that. I’m not saying it will. That is the very worst case scenario out there, Lilly. In most cases, those with this disease do something with their abilities and end up frying them out, the ability, I mean. They live out the rest of their days as a human would, being looked after and cared for in comfort.”

“And would it hurt him if he were to help her?” she asked with a frown. “Because I don’t want to lose him. I can’t lose him, just as I can’t lose you.” She wasn’t sure how any of this would happen. She really wasn’t.

“I don’t know. I only know what Gavriel has shared about this disease with me. The Spirytes keep it very close to the vest. It’s the one thing that all of our medical innovations and discoveries on the other side of the Veil still cannot cure. All we can do is make those with it suffer as little as we can, and hope for the best.”

“Goodness. I feel terrible for both Gavriel and his mother. She will never know that he’s found his mate, will she? Not really, at least. She won’t know that he’s found love with a human.” She didn’t know if that was an issue with them or not, but it worried her.

“He could tell her, but I don’t know if she’d remember it. The bouts of clarity are few and far between as it progresses. Right now she’d probably remember, and I know he wants you to meet her. He’s unfortunately got to contend with those bouts of dementia and finding the right time for you two to meet.”

“That poor man.” She sighed and shook her head. “Maybe if we go to the other side of the Veil and perhaps wait for her to have a bout of clarity and then go to meet her?” she asked with a frown. “Because I honestly don’t know how else to make it happen. I would like to meet her as well.”

“We will make a trip there anyway in the near future. And yes, hopefully we will be there during one of her bouts of clarity. They are currently longer than the bouts where she believes Gav is still in diapers. Thank the Gods, for both of their sakes.”

“No kidding.” She couldn’t imagine what Gav had to be going through. “Besides, don’t we have a mating week coming up? Shouldn’t we have time alone so that we can do what we want to? During that time we can spend it on the Other side, right?”

“Yup.” He nodded and that was all she got. Sometimes he was so uncommunicative and other times, very open. If only he chose his open moments a little better, she’d get so much more juicy stuff. Sadly she hadn’t yet figured out how to actually pry what she wanted from him. She only ever got whatever he felt like sharing.

Lilly just grinned. She shook her head at him and licked her lips. “You can be one of the most tight-lipped men. I want to say infuriating, but it just makes me grin instead. Just so you know.” She couldn’t stop herself from reaching out and touching him. She loved being able to touch him. It made her all kinds of happy.

“I know.” He smiled that sneaky little smile of his. “It’s really, fine-tuned for the perfect reaction. Besides, I don’t usually like to talk, you seem to be able to make me do it just by looking at me. Very disturbing, I have to say.”

“Well I’m glad that I’m special. I’m super happy that I’m able to get you to break your own personal code of silence and chat with me. I like talking to you. I really love being able to talk to you, Artaxias. You have an amazing view on life, one that I enjoy being a part of.”

“The view or the life?” he asked, slowing for a red light. Stopping, he looked at her. “What you enjoy being a part of,” he added when she just stared at him. “Which do you enjoy being a part of, the view or the life?”

“The life. The view is wonderful, but being a part of the life with you, Ax, is more amazing than I could ever tell you. I love being able to have you close and knowing you are mine.”

“Good to know,” he said and they were moving again. He also fell silent once more, his eyes moving and taking everything in as he drove, which was all right. They were nearly to the office anyway.

When at the office, she looked over at him. “Okay, you ready for this day to start or whatever? Are you ready for us to get in there and hopefully get this done and over with as quickly as we possibly can, so that we can get back home?” The less time they spent at the office, the happier she would be.

“We go in, do what needs to be done, and hope for the best. Either way, we’re out of here at the end of the shift. I doubt we’ll get any closer today, but if we are lucky, we might just find something to help us figure this out.” Sliding from the truck, he came around to help her down. Keeping her close, he walked with her to the elevator.

“I certainly hope that you are right,” Lilly whispered and moved right along with him. Her arm was around his waist, her hand loose at her side near her weapon, and she knew that if he had to, Ax could get to his faster than someone could blink. Yes, he really was that good and she knew it.

“Relax,” he said softly against her temple as they stood riding the elevator. “I’ll be right next to you the entire time we’re here. No one will get to you and no one will hurt you. You have my word,” he told her, his hold on her waist tightening slightly.

“I know.” Lilly let out the breath she was holding and nodded. “I know that you won’t let anyone close to me, but I can’t help but feel more than a little nervous. I don’t understand why I am so nervous, but I am. Nervous about being around others, nervous about being around anyone else other than the two of you.”

“It’s the mating,” he said, like that answered everything. “It’s why it’s mandatory for all those inv
olved to take a week off. That time allows us to work out all the excess energies and smooth out the edges of the bonding. Until we have that time together, you’ll feel a little jumpy about being around others, especially males. Unattached males will make the sensation even sharper. That’s why I’ll be glued to your side the entire time we are here, Lilly.”

“Good.” She agreed with a nod. “And just when do we get our mandatory time off? Please don’t say it’s after we catch this sick son of a bitch.” But she knew the truth. She knew that they wouldn’t be able to do anything until they caught the monster preying on women in their area. Men as well. Damn, damn, and double damn.

“As soon as the captain signs the sheets or by the end of the week, whichever comes first. There’s a mandatory time limit that is set on how long between a mating is consummated and when the time off has to begin. By the end of the week, he has no say in it, we’re off.”

“Well, we will have to make sure that he knows I’m ready for my week off with my guys. I’m more than ready to just spend a week alone with the two of you, without distractions or work or anything. I just am in need.” Something she couldn’t hide from him. Not now. Not ever. “I ache and I don’t like that feeling. At all.”

“I know,” he said softly. Another kiss to her temple as the elevator stopped and then the mask was in place as the doors slid open. His eyes were predatory and watchful as they moved through the various areas to get to their office.

Lilly found herself stepping in closer to Ax. She knew she could defend herself. She was damn good at what she did and she did have weapons of her own creation that could take down most anything, but she didn’t like using them. Instead, she stuck as close to Artaxias as she possibly could and moved through the bullpen with him until they reached his office.

“Deep breath,” he said softly, barely more than a whisper, but she heard him. Pushing the door shut behind them, he frowned down at her. “What’s wrong?” he asked, sliding the hand on her back up and down ever so slightly to comfort her.
