“You’ve been here for about a year, haven’t you?” Culhane asked and took a seat on one of the chairs they pulled out from the back of the truck. Warren took another one and Shimmy and Dominick sat with her on the blanket. Warren handed her a cold beer. She took a sip and then looked at Culhane.

“It took me that long to recover.” She looked away and toward the water. “I just wanted to get a job and start moving on with my life.”

Warren caressed her thigh. “What happened? How did you get shot?” he asked.

She shook her head. When she went to move, Shimmy ran his arm over her waist and then leaned over her. He pressed a thigh between her legs and she fell back. Warren took the beer from her hand.

“Why won’t you tell us what happened?” Shimmy asked.

“What does it matter? Do you want to tell me how you got shot multiple times in the back?” she asked him.

Shimmy caressed her hair and cupped her cheek. He looked down into her eyes and then ran his hand along her waist back and forth.

“If it will help make you trust us, I will,” he said and she shook her head. She leaned back and sighed. Shimmy was handsome. He had short crew cut hair, deep blue eyes, and a tattoo along his chest with the words Semper Fidelis in thick, black lettering. “Always faithful,” she whispered and touched the letters.

“That’s right. We are,” Culhane said, and when she tilted her head back to look at him, Shimmy began to kiss her chin and neck, then down to her breasts. She ran her fingers through his hair and then felt his finger trail under the thin string on the hip of her bikini. She pulled from his mouth. “Shimmy.”

  “Just a little exploring.”

“No, Shimmy, I’m not ready,” she said to him.

He lifted up. “Are you shy because we’re out here in the open?” he asked, and continued to trail kisses along her breasts, then down over her belly. She ran her palms along his muscles on his back and the raised skin from his scars. If anyone could understand the fear she experienced, it would be Shimmy and his brothers. They were all soldiers and all had experiences with violence and pain.

Warren came over and sat down on the blanket.

“This is our property, our lake, our land. We own it all,” Warren told her.

“Seriously?” she asked, shocked by his words. But then Shimmy began to pull her bottoms down and he suckled against her hip bone.

“Shimmy,” she exclaimed and gripped his shoulders, then his hair.

“What’s this?” he said and lifted up. He saw her tattoo. “Check this out, Culhane.”

She looked at Culhane, who got out of the chair and knelt on the blanket. He was so big, and his hands huge as he reached down and checked it out.

“Sweet and sexy, just like you, Cali.” He winked and she felt her core tighten. My God, she was surrounded by four sexy, hot soldiers who wanted to explore her body. What a hell of a way to lose her virginity.

Shimmy lifted up and held her gaze.

“Open for me, because you feel it too and you want more,” he said and then lowered down to kiss her lips. He plunged his tongue in deeply and she felt his fingers glide down her bikini bottoms and right over her smooth, clean-shaven pussy. He moaned into her mouth as if it surprised him. She wondered if he would think she was more experienced with men because she cleaned up for them. She did do it for them, and in case something like this happened. All thoughts ceased as his thick, blunt finger thrust up into her cunt.

She was shocked at the sensations and at her body’s reaction to Shimmy. He moved his mouth from hers and kissed and suckled against her neck. She tilted her head back and caught sight of Dominick and Warren watching, but giving them space.

Then she heard Culhane and felt his fingers stroke her cheek on the other side.

“Not too far. Trust us to make you feel good. We’ll go as slow as you need,” he said and she nodded at him and Shimmy moved lower and Culhane joined in. He cupped her cheeks, leaned down, and kissed her.

She felt her bottoms move down her thighs and then suddenly Shimmy’s mouth was on her cunt and she pulled from Culhane’s kisses and moaned aloud. “Oh, God, Shimmy. Oh,” she exclaimed.

She couldn’t believe this was happening to her. She was spread out, practically naked, on a big blanket before gorgeous, outdoor scenery, and four men surrounding her, wanting her. Three Green Berets and a Marine. Shimmy suckled harder and alternated fingers and tongue. Culhane kissed along her chest and then tugged on her nipple through the top she wore.

“Culhane,” she said when he went to untie her straps for her top.

The cups parted from her breasts and Culhane immediately latched onto her nipple and suckled part of her breast into his mouth while he palmed her other breast.

She was panting and lifting her pelvis up when Shimmy pulled his mouth from her cunt.

“Holy shit, you taste delicious. You need to taste her, Culhane. She’s incredible,” Shimmy said. They shifted positions, but then Warren joined in and took Culhane’s place. Culhane lifted her thighs up over his shoulders when he lay on his stomach, then began to feast on her.

  “Oh my God!”

Warren chuckled and his warm breath collided against her nipples, instantly hardening them. She began to shake as this inner tightness got stronger and stronger.

“I feel something. Oh, God, what is that? Oh, God,” she said.

Culhane stopped what he was doing. They all stared at her and then Warren spoke. “Holy fuck,” he said and then she felt Culhane thrust two fingers up into her cunt and curl them inside of her. He was stroking and thrusting when that sensation grew deeper and deeper and she cried out as she came. The sound and feel of her coming undone made her body sweat and her heart race. Culhane licked and sucked her voraciously, and when he had his fill and after Warren pulled back and smiled, Culhane lifted her up into his arms and kissed her. His huge, heavy body lay half over her and she didn’t care. That was her first major orgasm and what a doozy it was. It put the small one she had in the parking lot to shame.

“My turn,” Dominick said and Culhane lifted up and smiled down at her as he cupped her cheek.

“That’s up to Cali. She may not be ready for more.”

She locked gazes with him. “That was incredible,” she said and took slow, unsteady breaths.

“Glad you liked it,” Culhane said in a very mature, experienced manner that had her blushing.

  “I’m in big trouble here.”

  “Why is that?” Dominick asked.

She smiled at Culhane and knew he knew she was inexperienced.

“Our little woman here needs to take her time, and we’re going to make sure her first time making love is incredible.”

“First time?” Shimmy said and then Dominick opened his mouth and then closed it. She felt her cheeks warm, but then Culhane moved to his side and held her against him. He caressed her hair and then kissed her forehead and her nose.

“You’re more than special, Cali. You’re perfect, and most importantly, you’re ours and we’ll protect you and keep you safe. I promise.”

Culhane kissed her again and this time she ran her fingers through his hair and over his muscles, doing some exploring of her own.

Dominick watched his brothers interacting with Cali. Taking time exploring her body on the blanket was unexpected, finding out she had never had sex before was pretty damn shocking. For some reason though, that information seemed to ease Culhane’s mind about any uncertainty he had toward Cali. In fact, he was holding her on his lap right now after they’d finished eating lunch. She wore a medium length, flair, beige skirt and a white tank top that hid her full breasts. Feeling kind of protective and possessive of her now, he was glad she was dressed conservatively. Things were going to be different at work now. Different in a lot of ways.

She leaned back and Culhane kept an arm around her midsection and she kept her hand over his forearm.

“This place is so relaxing and peaceful. It
’s like nothing else exists but being here with you guys,” she said and then chuckled.

  “What?” Warren asked her.

“I sound corny and stupid.” She went to sit up and Culhane held her back.

“No you don’t. You hit the nail on the head, sweetie. I wish we could stay here for hours.”

“Oh, God, what time is it?” she asked.

“Don’t worry, I’ve been keeping track and getting more and more annoyed.”

“Why is that, Dominick?” she asked. She was sitting up on Culhane’s lap and he was caressing her thighs.

“In just a few hours we’ll be at work. You’ll be behind the bar and Shimmy and I in the kitchen.”

“But we’ll be in the same place.”

“I think Culhane and I may stop in for a few beers, and to maybe walk you out when you’re done,” Warren said to her and winked.

“I’m working until closing tonight,” she replied.

“What? We didn’t know that,” Shimmy said, sounding concerned.

She pushed some strands of hair behind her ear.

“The new bartenders get the shitty hours at first.”

“You’re great though, and have a lot of experience,” Culhane said to her.

“I know, but it’s how bartending works. I’m not planning on doing it for long, though,” she said to Culhane.

He reached up and caressed her back.

“What are you planning on? Going to school?” he asked.

She nibbled her bottom lip and then she lowered her eyes. Dominick had a funny feeling in his gut.

“I went to college. I have my Masters, too. I was graduating with an MBA and a minor in accounting. Planning on taking the CPA exam when I was abducted,” she said and stood up.

  “Abducted?” Dominick asked.

She looked around at them, gathered in a small circle.

“It’s a long story. A bad story that haunts me every single night, but I can’t tell you about it.”

  “Why not?” Shimmy asked her.

  “I just can’t.”

Dominick reached out to take her hand. He pulled her onto his lap and dipped her down, cradling her.

  “Answer two questions for me.”

“Dominick,” she said and started to lift up, but he dipped her lower and she gasped and held on.

“One, are the ones who abducted you still looking for you, and two, are you in danger, and hiding out here in Repose?”

She stared at him and he could tell she was debating about trusting him. He knew her answers before she said them and his gut clenched, his need to protect her surging.

“I don’t know, and if they are, then I would say yes, I’m in danger, so I guess I am hiding out here in Repose.”

He hugged her to him and kissed her forehead.

  “I want to know more.”

“No, Dominick, I’ve said too much. I want to talk about something else. Please, Dominick,” she begged of him.

He couldn’t resist as he lowered his mouth to hers and kissed her fully. When she ran her fingers through his hair and lifted up toward him to kiss him more, he wanted to bring her pleasure and make her smile. He smoothed his palm up under her skirt when he heard Culhane speak.

“Open for him, Cali. Let him make you feel good, and know that you trust him, too,” Culhane said.

She immediately parted her thighs and he felt overwhelmed with possessiveness. When his fingers maneuvered around her panties and then right up into her cunt, she thrust her hips upward and moaned into his mouth. He stroked her faster, deeper, and released her lips to trail more sucks and licks along her skin. When she cried out and came, he lifted her up and lowered her down to the blanket again to feast on her cream and have a taste of heaven. She cried out again and gripped his hair.

“Dominick, oh, God, you’re crazy. Crazy,” she said.

“About you, baby. Crazy about you,” he told her when he released her pussy lips then plunged fingers into her again. He explored her fully until she was panting for breath and moonstruck in his arms.

“Goddamn, you’re going to rock my world, baby.” He pressed his lips to hers and kissed her.

  Chapter Five

“So I want to know what you’re going to do,” Lori asked Cali as they stood behind the bar talking.

“What do you mean, what I’m going to do? I like them. A lot, and this is a huge deal. I’m scared out of my mind by how they make me feel, and that there are four of them. You’ve seen what they look like.”

“I know what you mean,” Lori said and glanced down toward the other end of the bar where Ledger was working. Leif and Mateo were down there. They worked and owned the dojo and definitely seemed interested in Lori, but she avoided them like they were evil.

“Have they tried talking to you tonight?” she asked her and Lori wiped down the bar even though she’d just done it.

“I immediately turned around and acted like I didn’t hear Mateo say my name.”

Cali gently rubbed Lori’s arm. “Why are you so scared of them?”

“Why are you so scared of Dominick and his brothers?”

She opened her mouth to say, then closed it.

“Maybe I had something bad happen to me, or I witnessed something that warns me to stay clear of men like Mateo and his brothers.”

“Law enforcement and soldiers? Reputable ones to boot?” she asked.

“Sometimes it’s the perfect ones that actually turn out to be completely imperfect.”

Cali watched Lori walk toward a few new customers at the bar and her words hit home. Was she thinking this through right? Could she be making a bigger mistake? The last thing she needed was her heart broken. She instantly thought of her father. Why hadn’t he called? It had been a month. Four weeks and three days.

She started to focus on the new customers who came to the bar and soon it was pretty crowded again. When she headed back down to the other end of the bar some time later, she spotted Stew and two other men. At first she didn’t recognize him, and then it hit her. “Stew. I’m sorry, I guess I didn’t recognize you out of the park police uniform. How are you?”

He smiled wide and looked her over. “I’m doing great. These are two friends of mine. Mike and Ben.”

She reached her hand over the bar to shake their hands.

“Nice to meet you. Are you guys here on business or for fun?” she asked.

“For fun,” Ben said and gave her a wink.

He was totally flirting with her. She kept a straight face. “What can I get you to drink?” she asked and they all ordered Coors.

She turned around to fill the mugs of beer from the tap when Lori whispered into her ear.

“They were staring at your ass when you were at the other end of the bar. Ledger and the guys noticed.”

She squinted at her, and then looked down toward the end of the bar where Mateo, Leif, Damon, Fox, Aero, and Jagger, plus Warren and Culhane were standing. She gave a wave, and of course they all waved back and chuckled, but when she looked at Stew and his friends they looked annoyed.

She placed the beers down and Stew put a fifty-dollar bill on the bar. She got him change and then smiled.

“How is your knee? Did you need stitches?” he asked.

  “Stitches?” Ben asked.

“Yeah, we weren’t sure when we were up there in the woods.”

“It’s fine. I get the stitches out in a few days,” she told him.

“Great,” he replied and seemed to be looking at her face and memorizing it. He was definitely flirting with her. She realized she needed to put some distance between them, but she wanted to know if he got anywhere in the investigation.

“Did you figure out who was doing the shooting the other day?” she asked.

He curled his finger for her to come closer and when she leaned over the bar, he placed his hand on her shoulder and whispered to her. “Someone from Repose. We think a group of kids. They were at it again this morning.”

  “What?
” she asked, shocked. He stared at her lips and she started moving back.

“Wait, I want you to keep your eyes open for anything suspicious. Do you still have my personal cell number?” he asked her. She’d thrown that out fast.

“Yes,” she said, knowing if she saw anything suspicious she would tell Culhane and the guys. Her lips parted and she looked down toward the other end of the bar to see if he and Warren were still there and they weren’t.

“Hey, Stew,” Warren said hello and slapped him hard on the back.

Stew had an instant scowl on his face. “Warren,” he said and then looked back at Cali.

She smiled wide. “Hi, Culhane, Warren, can I get you something?”

Culhane leaned closer to the bar. “Some sugar?” he asked and she felt her cheeks turn super red.

“Seriously?” she whispered and he raised one of his eyebrows up at her. She couldn’t resist his order. He was too damn sexy, and with all those muscles and tattoos showing, only a fool would deny his orders. She was realizing how much she liked him and his brothers, and trusted them, too.

She leaned over the bar and gave Culhane a kiss on the lips.

The hoots and hollers filled the bar and she pulled back. “Anything else?” she asked.

“My sugar,” Warren said and Stew’s eyes nearly popped out of his head when she leaned over the bar and kissed Warren, which got everyone carrying on again.

“Hey, Cali, I didn’t know I could order that. Come on down here and give me some sugar,” Bucky, one of the old timers, called out. Everyone erupted with laughter and she gave him a wink.

Cali felt her cheeks get so hot she had to turn around and walk away. She was fanning herself and Lori stood there laughing. “Damn, girl, they have it bad for you,” she said to her. Cali glanced back at Culhane and Warren.

“I think I have it bad for them, too.”

Jack was packing his bags. Lucien was on the phone. As Lucian disconnected the call he began to carry on.

“He’s on to us, Jack. He knows about the money and the jewelry we stole and he wants it back. All of it. He knows where we are.”
