The Warrior's Pet (Cadi Warriors Book 1) Page 7

It hurt deeply to be told that you are a thing. That you along with your feelings, wants and dreams don't matter. That you don't have a say in your own fate.

Giselle watched the sun rise on the horizon trying desperately to gain perspective. She had yet to formulate a solid plan when Sabin's eyes fluttered open. The boy sat up quickly and looked around.

"Good you are awake." The warrior called Dagaa greeted the boy. Though he briefly smiled in Giselle's direction Dagaa barely acknowledged her.

Giselle bit her lip to keep from saying good morning. God forbid Kagan should have to spank her so early in the morning. Despite her sarcastic thought Giselle nearly blushed at how way the last spanking turned out. That hadn't been that bad.

Dagaa handed Sabin some food and instructed him on how to clean the blades. Giselle noticed the numerous weapons in the transport and realized the Cadi really didn't view her or Sabin as a threat if the warriors left them with all these knives. If Giselle had still been with Vigdis, she might have been tempted to take one, however now that she knew the score where would she go armed or not?

"Good morning." Giselle said quietly to Sabin out of hearing range of the other warriors that flanked the transport wagon.

Sabin gave her a disapproving look much like the adults would. If it hadn't been so sad Giselle might have laughed.

"Fine I guess you're not talking to me, and I thought we were friends." Giselle sighed as the boy ate quietly.

Sabin finished his meal then dutifully picked up one of the knives and started cleaning it. Giselle had payed attention and couldn't just sit doing nothing all day. The last few days had nearly driven her nuts with boredom. So Giselle picked up a scrap of leather and one of the blades to clean it.

"You cannot touch a warrior's weapon." Sabin said with wide eyes. He was loud enough one of the warriors looked their way.

Giselle stared pointedly at the warrior with a look that said "What?" She was so frustrated with the double standard bull shit she was ready to scream.

"So is it because I'm a pet or a girl?" Giselle asked.

Giselle looked at a pair of thin stiletto blades. She twisted her long hair up into a knot then shoved the two sheathed blades into her hair, the hilts sticking up to secure the bun. It was nice to get her wild mop out of her face. Giselle then proceeded to clean another knife and examine it.

"Well both." Sabin said as if it should have been obvious as he cleaned then oiled his blade.

"Hmmm, well I don't see any difference between the ones you cleaned and the ones I did."

"You're just not supposed to." Sabin said as he too compared the job both of them had done.

"She can clean my blade." Giselle heard one of the warriors make the obviously lewd comment to his companion.

Giselle turned to the male pointing her weapon at his crotch.

"If you treasure your BLADE, you'll keep your comments to yourself." She said with an arcing flick of her wrist making a cutting motion.

The man's eyes widened in shock and Giselle half smiled half smirked back. The man quickly got on his handheld communicator.

"Great he's telling on me." Giselle muttered.

Kagan was going to tan her backside for sure.

"Whatever!" Giselle decided. She was done with worrying about it. She was going to behave how she felt was right. Granted she could've resisted responding to the warrior's crude comment, but she didn't. She was naked and subjugated. No woman no matter how brave could feel safe like that.

"Excuse me for my outburst." Giselle mocked, hearing Kagan's reprimand in her head.

Kagan was probably going to be pissed but he could just deal. If he couldn't bring himself to understand things from her perspective well too bad. Giselle couldn't force herself to not react when she felt slighted, nervous or afraid. Giselle straightened her shoulders and continued helping Sabin with his task.

It was amusing how once Giselle coaxed Sabin into talking he yammered on as children tend to do. Only occasionally did Sabin seem to realize he was talking to a naked female pet with a pause and a smirk before shrugging it off and continuing. Sabin commented on this or that about the weapons as Giselle smiled and cleaned.

"I don't even know why you want to help." Sabin huffed as he looked at the knives. "None of these are very nice. The Daimio of the Scelus Cadi carries a jeweled blade."

Giselle realized Sabin was talking about Vigdis.

"A man who is rich of spirit," Giselle pointed to her heart. "does not need to wear his wealth on the outside." Giselle told the child.

"Daimio." One of his men contacted Kagan on his handheld.

  "Go ahead."

"Did you know that your pet speaks?" The warrior reported in surprise.

"Yes." Kagan sighed. "What is she doing now?"

"Well she threatened me with a blade that she's cleaning with Sabin."

  "Of course." Kagan thought.

His pet spoke when she wasn't supposed to. Why wouldn't she also be handling warrior's weapons and threatening his men? Giselle was too spirited for her own good. Although Kagan didn't want to kill that spirit, he also couldn't have her threatening his men with weapons.

"Okay, I'll handle it." Kagan replied.

Kagan turned Idris around and made his way back toward the transport holding his pet and the child. What was he going to do about her? No doubt half the warriors had seen her behavior.

Kagan approached the wagon and noticed the clump of warriors got thicker, but quickly dispersed when they saw him coming. As Kagan saw Giselle he realized what his men were preoccupied by. Giselle sat erect her breast thrust out. Her flaxen hair was pulled up atop her head with two daggers sticking out. The warrior's ink on her shoulder proudly displayed for all to see.

Giselle handled a knife without fear, running a leather cloth across the blade. It was almost an erotic act the way she stroked it. When she smiled it was radiant. Giselle looked like a warrior goddess, no wonder the men were enthralled.

His little pet did not see him as Sabin spoke of how grand the enemy's weapons were. Little did the tiny warrior realize but efficiency and function was its own beauty.

"A man who is rich of spirit does not need to wear his wealth on the outside." Giselle pointed to her heart as she spoke the wise words to Sabin. The boy seemed to consider what she said.

Kagan was even more conflicted. He never knew what was going to come out of Giselle's mouth. She was insightful one moment then inciting him the next.

He would be expected to reprimand Giselle and it would have to be in front of the men. Problem was Kagan didn't know how he could do that with the way Giselle responded to him spanking her. Maybe it was a fluke after the way he'd touched her while bathing. Maybe he treated her too gently.

Kagan shook his head not happy with what he was left to do. Well her punishment would have to wait till later, their caravan was moving at top speed and couldn't pause till nightfall. Till then Kagan would have to keep a better eye on his pet before she distracted the men and got them all killed.

"So I leave you alone for a few hours and you disobey me." Kagan spoke.

Sabin jumped looking worried but Giselle just gave him a casual glance. Kagan leaned over and wrapped one arm around Giselle and plucked her from the transport. He set her in front of him on Idris.

"You are doing a good job please continue." He told Sabin before heading back toward the front of the line. The boy smiled and got back to work, but cast a nervous glance to Giselle.

"That was nice of you." Giselle said as they rode. She hadn't spoken in their tent at first meal so he was a bit surprised she did so now. Then again Giselle seemed to like the boy.

"Jeezelle" Kagan admonished her for speaking.

"Well I was starting to think you were nice."

  Kagan couldn't believe her sass.

"You've got one punishment coming for speaking out of turn and threatening my warrior. Are you sure you want to make it any worse?"

  "Don't
forget holding weapons. By the way I need a blanket or something. I'm going to burn to a crisp much less freeze and my girly bits are rubbing on this furry beast and that's just nasty."

Giselle wasn't affected by Kagan's threat at all as she made her demand. Kagan almost laughed at the comment about her woman's place rubbing on Idris but resisted. He looked at the flush of Giselle's skin and realized she was right. Slaves and pets didn't wear clothes and yet his little pet wasn't like the Toufik or even the thick skinned Cadi. Kagan realized with a bit of chagrin he'd neglected that aspect in tending to her.

"I have been remiss in your care. I apologize." Kagan said before pulling a blanket from the pack on the back of his manx. He wrapped it around Giselle and tucked it in.

"Thank you. You are forgiven." Giselle turned her face up to him and gave him a genuine smile.

"You will still be reprimanded later." Kagan said hating to kill her lovely expression. "If you were one of my men who disobeyed it would be the same. Be thankful you are not male or I'd take the strap to you."

"You do what you must." Giselle said unaffected then turned back around and watched the passing landscape without another word.

  Giselle

Giselle found herself frustrated with Kagan. He was kind and yet domineering. She could believe he was the leader of this band of warriors. He seemed the military type demanding order and respect according to his rank. Giselle understood and yet didn't agree with half of it. His warriors spoke in hushed tones like she did. It was such a double standard.

Giselle couldn't think of much besides how mad the situation made her and her impending punishment. Of course that made her even more unnerved. She was a bit worried Kagan would be harsh with her to set an example. A part of her couldn't resist thinking about his big hand smacking against her bare behind. It was unsettling how it pissed her off and turned her on all at the same time. It didn't help that Giselle's naked back was pressed into Kagan's warm bare chest or that his arm was banded around her middle, his hand practically cupping her breast.

Giselle looked out at the alien world hoping to distract her wayward thoughts. They had recently broken through another dense section of forest. The trees and brush had been so dense that the light barely reached them. Despite the overgrown route that seemed rarely used the striped manx wove rapidly and with ease over the rocky terrain.

Now that they emerged the scenery looked more like marsh land, the mountains that flanked them further off than before. The sky was still a violet color with clouds much like earth. There was a single sun that was larger than back home but the climate was a bit too chilly. Perhaps it was just the season, Giselle didn't know.

Giselle shivered and Kagan pulled her closer, his hand brushing against her nipple making it stand at attention.

"Ugh." Giselle practically groaned her mind again returning to thoughts of Kagan's hands and mouth on her body. "Get your mind out of the gutter!" Giselle admonished herself as she yawned.

Erotic thoughts of a wet mouth and fingers teasing her pussy assailed Giselle. A hard body pinned her. She moaned Kagan's name as her fingers flexed against his firm muscular chest.

Giselle paused drowsily coming to and found her mouth pressed against the flesh of Kagan's chest. Her lips frozen in their open mouth exploration. Giselle realized with dawning embarrassment that she'd been acting out her naughty dream. Kagan must have turned her to face him while she slept. As Giselle noted how her legs were draped around Kagan's waist she felt the massive shaft trapped between her naked body and his stomach. He was so hard and large his cock had shoved his kilt out of the way. As the manx moved Kagan's shaft rocked against her weft cleft and ground into her clit. The knots on his shaft sliding against her slit make Giselle practically moan.

Kagan gripped her behind and Giselle didn't know if he meant to halt the delicious friction or hold her close for more. Giselle looked up to see the man staring stoically forward. The only tell that he was having a hard time was the tick in the muscle of his jaw.

Giselle closed her eyes as the manx moved a certain way and every nerve in her clit was set alight as she rubbed along Kagan's length. Her pussy spasmed and Giselle couldn't help but tighten her legs around Kagan's waist, her heels digging into his hips.

A pair of warriors approached and Giselle flushed red, glad they couldn't see what was going on beneath the blanket wrapped around her. Giselle tucked her head so they couldn't see the way her face contorted each time she rubbed against Kagan.

"It looks like you bring me bad news." Kagan's chest rumbled as he spoke to the men and it really didn't help matters any as it vibrated his cock.

Giselle did her best not to squeak from the erotic shock.

"The village won't take the boy, just like the others." One man reported.

"News travels fast and apparently they don't want to incur Vigdis' wrath by taking in a boy from the burned village." Added the second.

Giselle suddenly went cold. She had not realized Sabin was from the village Vigdis had burned. The boy hadn't spoken of it. Misguided as it was, he was still loyal to his people and the tyrannical leader.

  "Oh how awful." Giselle thought.

She couldn't believe a child suffered so much at the hands of his own people and the fact they refused to take Sabin in was worse. He was a child.

"Say nothing. I won't have the boy crushed because his people are cowardly. Those harsh lessons will come soon enough." Kagan shook his head in disgust.

"So we take the boy with us as a prisoner?" One of the warriors inquired.

"As far as Sabin knows. But I want him treated as any child of my people would be, understand."

"Yes Daimio." The two said in unison before departing.

Giselle felt terrible for Sabin, and yet she was also impressed by Kagan. The fact that he'd rather have the child hate him than crush Sabin with the awful truth proved that the man had a soft side.

"Who will take him in?" Giselle asked.

"I don't know yet." Kagan answered with a sigh.

  Kagan quo Rordan

As they made camp things still swirled in Kagan's mind. The way Giselle had moaned in her sleep scenting of pleasure as her woman's place got slick drove him mad. He'd become instantly hard which made it worse. But he nearly came unglued when she moaned his name as her wet lips moved on his chest and her channel fluttered pressed against his engorged shaft.

His men had ruined the moment and probably saved Kagan from making a fool of himself like some randy youth. Unfortunately the news they brought was not good.

Kagan's heart almost tore from his chest when Giselle looked up at him with her big blue eyes swimming with moisture.

"Children shouldn't be alone and unloved in the world." She pleaded.

When the moisture ran down her cheeks Kagan was at a loss. It was such a forlorn expression of her strong emotions that Kagan couldn't help but grip her tight. He promised her the boy would be well cared for. At that moment he would've promised anything just to brighten her face.

The ride had been quiet till the sun started to descend and they stopped for the night. Kagan didn't relish what he would be forced to do. After his tent was set up, he ordered a bath for Giselle and sent her off with one of the Toufik females. He couldn't punish her while she still smelled of arousal. That would make it twice as impossible at least for him. Kagan nearly growled in frustration. The little female was driving him crazy. She was a conundrum he just couldn't tease out.

Kagan helped the men get camp settled. As he reached for one of the knives strapped across his chest Kagan felt that one of his blades was missing. What the hell had happened to it?

"Son of a metcor." Kagan cursed out loud.

The blade hadn't fallen off. Someone had taken it. All his warrior stared in surprise as their usually calm commander stomped towards his tent. By the time Kagan got there he was fuming.

Kagan stormed in only to stop dead. Giselle had his blade, of course, but what she did with it stalled his forward
momentum. There in the bath, Giselle had one creamy leg propped up on the edge covered in suds. Very methodically she ran the blade up her pale skin. She then moved to the tuft at her mound. Kagan couldn't help but watch as she removed all but a swath of hair.

Kagan quickly turned and left. He was hard again. How could he reprimand her with his shaft standing at attention? Again his men stared as he passed muttering expletives.

After walking the perimeter a few times Kagan returned to the central fire. One of the warriors was carrying Sabin back to Dagaa's tent. The boy was fast asleep, full and exhausted. Kagan slowed as he approached the fire. The light was dancing off Giselle's pale skin as she sat close to keep warm. There were several warriors staring curiously at her as she ate.

Kagan had no stomach for food. It was time to be done with the distasteful business at hand.

  "Jeezelle come here."

Giselle stood and sauntered his way. The sway of her full bare hips mesmerizing not only him but the other men. When she stood before him Kagan could see by the serious look on her face she knew what was to transpire.

"You have disobeyed my order and threatened one of my men. Hands on the crate." Kagan demanded. He didn't dare put her over his lap again. Having her draped there was just too tempting.

Giselle put her palms down and Kagan pushed her flat against the box. His palm smacked against her rear twice as hard as the night before.

Giselle squeaked in surprise then bit her lip to keep from making any further sound as his hand fell again with a resounding smack.

"No wonder," Giselle bit out. Smack. "you are still at war." Smack. "Look how you," Smack. "solve problems." Giselle gasped the last bit.

The men stared in shock as his pet chastised them even though she was the one being punished.

  "Enough." Kagan growled.

"Why, did your helpless little female pet hit too close to home." Giselle snarled back looking over her shoulder.

Kagan swatted her ass again, but Giselle just gritted her teeth and stuck her butt out further.

"Is that all you've got? Don't hold back just because I'm a girl."
