Blood & Marriage (Dark Mafia Romance) Page 19

by Merikan,Miss

We had a quiet wedding, nothing like the extravagant affair at the Villani mansion. We married at the old abandoned town not far from my father’s house in Calabria, and it had been beyond serene.

After so many of the top mafiosi and Dino Villani had been killed, there were things that needed taking care of. The Family seemed content, overall, with Santo as their new leader, accepting the recent events at face value, maybe just because most of them didn’t want to be led by a cruel loser like Vincenzo anyway. But, as I suspected, Santo knew how to apply his analytical mind to the various dealings he was responsible for, turning to his father for guidance whenever it was necessary. He was away a lot, but every time he came back, we found time to rekindle our passion and enjoy each other’s company.

It was only once things settled down that we finally found some time for our honeymoon in a beautiful tourist area on the Mexican coast, just like I’d wanted.

The sky was impossibly blue over me, the air pleasantly hot, and my skin dried in no time after my last swim. The luxurious modern villa we were staying at had it all, even a large beach bed with a white canopy and sheer curtains that moved with the soft breeze.

I swallowed a grape and pushed another against Santo’s lips, smiling when his eyes opened and zeroed in on the fruit.

“I’m not gonna choke you with it.”

“I’ve had too much food already,” he moaned and turned onto his stomach, providing me with a great view of his muscled back and ass.

I popped the grape into my mouth and moved the back of my hand down his spine, enjoying how hot it was after being in the sun. Santo’s tan was becoming more defined since he gave up on wearing suits at the start of our little vacation for two. “If you gave me your phone, I could take a glorious picture for that secret Instagram of yours.”

He snorted and opened one eye. “You still believe it exists?”

I lay down and nudged his side with my elbow. “If it does, shouldn’t I know about it? There’s all those random women salivating over your abs, and I, your wife, can’t even like a picture.”

He watched me for a while, smirking, but then reached for his phone. “You’ll laugh at my handle.”

I blinked a few times. He couldn’t be serious. I kept teasing him about it for fun. That secret Instagram account had been an ongoing joke between us for months now, and he wanted to tell me that he actually had one for more than just ogling my pictures?

I rolled over to my stomach and peeked over his shoulder. “You’re serious. What is it?”

He leaned closer and gave my lips a lick. Now that his skin got darker, his green eyes stood out even more. He pushed the phone my way over the bed, and I burst out laughing.

  “@Taste_Sicily? Seriously?”

He grinned. “What can I say? I was nineteen.”

I laughed out loud, rolling my body toward him as I stretched over the mattress. “Did you publish food porn on there?”

“Very delicious food. Your favorite kind.”

I started scrolling, and the account was exactly what he’d suggested all those months ago. Travel photos, and abs, and biceps, and even more delicious abs. I couldn’t scroll fast enough, amazed to see how he’d grown since he was nineteen.

Santo turned onto his back and stretched, taking my attention off the phone when he ran his hand over his hardening cock. “How about that? You up for a taste of Sicily?”

I squinted at him. “You were such a naughty teenager,” I said, letting the phone fall to the sheets as I grabbed a hairclip and pinned back my blonde mane.

Santo reached out to squeeze my breast with a smile. “If I could only put my face on-line, I’d have thousands of followers, not 562.”

I shook my head at him. “You’re so vain.” And yet it was true. He was the most handsome man I knew. Every day he made me smile, protected me, and took my breath away.

Every day, I fell in love with him over and over again.

  About the author

Miss Merikan is the pen name for Kat and Agnes Merikan, a team of writers, who are mistaken for sisters with surprising regularity. Kat’s the mean sergeant and survival specialist of the duo, never hesitating to kick Agnes’s ass when she’s slacking off. Her memory works like an easy-access catalogue, which allows her to keep up with both book details and social media. Also works as the emergency GPS. Agnes is the Merikan nitpicker, usually found busy with formatting and research. Her attention tends to be scattered, and despite pushing thirty, she needs to apply makeup to buy alcohol. Self-proclaimed queen of the roads.

They love the weird and wonderful, stepping out of the box, and bending stereotypes both in life and books. When you pick up a Merikan book, there’s one thing you can be sure of - it will be full of surprises.

Guns n’ Boys: He is Poison (Book 1)

  K.A. Merikan

  — Love is sour like a Sicilian lemon. —

  The Family is always right.

  The Family doesn’t forget.

The Family pays for blood in blood.

Domenico Acerbi grew up in the shade of Sicilian lemon trees ready to give his life for the Family. Ready to follow orders and exceed expectations. A proud man of honor.

When Seth, the younger son of the Don is kidnapped, it’s Domenico who is sent to get him back. The man he finds though, is not the boy he knew all those years ago. Lazy, annoying, spoiled, and as hot as a Sicilian summer.

Seth Villani wants nothing to do with the mafia. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get a say when the Family pulls him right back into its fold after his mother’s death. Thrown into a den of serpents otherwise known as the Villani Family, Seth has to find a way to navigate in the maze of lies. But when Domenico Acerbi, the most vicious snake of them all, sinks his fangs into Seth, the venom changes into an aphrodisiac that courses through Seth’s veins.

Domenico knows his life is about to change when he gets the order to train Seth up to the role of future Don. Seth isn’t made for it. He isn’t even made. But a man Domenico knows he would never have to fear might just be someone he’s always needed.

If Seth is doomed to follow in his father's footsteps, he might as well enjoy himself--with the most intoxicat
ing man he’s ever met. Maybe he can even fool himself into believing that Domenico isn’t a handsome sociopath who kills for a living.

Unable to connect with her grieving father, she believes that a ritual described in her late mother’s notes might hold the key to bringing back the balance in her family. During the ceremony, she needs to get pregnant by the demon she summons, but why does he have to appear in the form of a handsome, long-haired, asshole of a biker, who just doesn’t know when to give up?
