by Leigh Ann Lunsford

Reaching into the nightstand drawer, I pull a condom on and slide into her. She is so tight, I only get half way in before I have to draw back and push a little further in the next time. Once I am fully inside her, I stay still for a minute. She feels so amazing around me, tight and clenching on my dick.

“Move, baby. Please,” she whimpers. So I give her what she asks for. Slow and sweet at first, then fast and hard. I feel her come against me again, and I finally let myself go. It is like coming home after a long absence. I hope my dick won’t be leaving home for a while.

She is rubbing her hands up and down my back and whispers, “I love you.” I can’t say it back. I know I feel it, but until I am ready, I won’t just say it. Instead, I take her lips and kiss her, pouring my emotions into it. It never bothered her before when she told me she loved me, and I didn’t say it back, I am hoping that is still true.

When I get back from getting rid of the condom, she is on her side snoring away. I climb in behind her and fall asleep. Next time I wake up, her mouth is on my dick. When she is done I ask her if that is my normal wake up call. “Ass,” she tells me.

Yeah, a pure month of fucking bliss.

As the days and weeks progress and still no movement on the case with Brent, but more stalling and paperwork, everyone’s patience is wearing thin. Christmas is fast approaching and I am excited to spend it with Cambree and being an uncle for the first time. None of the Parkers are in the festive mood and keep waiting for word on their brother. I hate seeing their faces fall each time we tell them there is no change.

I spoil Lukas as any good uncle would. Camy and I buy him, CJ, Riley, Cheyenne, and Shiloh a whole bunch of shit they don’t need, but the adults started a new tradition. No gift exchanges with each other. It is truly about the kids and the spirit of Christmas, so instead we all donated to a fund and picked several families to support this year at the holidays. I have to admit that it has been a while since I felt so good about something.

  Chapter 28

  Cambree

  January 2019

He is frustrating the hell out of me. Brent is still not in federal custody, and it is pissing me off. How hard is it to tell me he loves me? He can fuck me six ways to Sunday, but he can’t express his feelings. All the girls are going stir crazy waiting to hear any information on the case. Kayleigh is adjusting to motherhood, but we all need a night out.

Brielle makes a game plan. Max and Mitch have to work tonight, so she roped Colby and Tyler into staying home and watching the kids. Amelia is keeping Lukas, and we are going to the bar in the next town.

How the hell I got talked into coming out with the three crazies I will never know. It seemed like a good idea when I was pissed off earlier. I am not old enough to drink, so they decided I could be designated driver. I get Kayleigh hasn’t been out in a while, but Brielle is in rare form. As soon as they suggested we go to The Rose bar in the next town over, the red flags started waving. Too many eyes on us in our bar, they said. I needed to buy a vowel with that clue.

As soon as we walk in, I know it is going to be ugly. My eyes go to the bar, and Felicity is here. Brielle zeroed in on her and clapped her hands together.

“Ignore her, B. She is old, sad news. Don’t go back to that place,” Addison tells her.

Kayleigh, who had a few pre-game drinks while we were getting ready just says, a bit too loudly, “Ewww, don’t they take the trash out in this place.” Of course, that caught Felicity’s attention.

The heavens must have been smiling because right then, Florida Georgia Line’s “This Is How We Roll” comes on, and they are distracted by the dance floor. I decide if I can keep their asses dancing all night, we may come out of this harebrained idea without a permanent criminal record. Having a blast on the dance floor, everything else fades. We are smiling, laughing, and shaking our asses with not a care in the world. I notice we have gained an audience, but they seem harmless enough. Felicity is staring at us; it seems we have taken away her audience. The girls decide it is drink time.

I somehow maneuver them to the opposite end of the bar from our admirer, but we are joined by many more. They are big, burly, unkempt men, but they have us laughing and not feeling uncomfortable at all. They remind me of friendly uncles that are in biker gangs. Totally harmless. After a few shots and laughing until our stomachs hurt, we decide a bathroom break is in order.

All four of us make our way to the bathroom, and Felicity just can’t keep her mouth shut as we walk by. “Oh, look, home life so boring you had to come slum it for fun. Brie, is there trouble in paradise? If so, I am sure I can help Colby out.” Fuckity, fuck, fuck.

Brielle moves so fast, getting right in her face. “Don’t do something you are going to regret, Felicity.” Brielle is clearly giving her a warning, but stupidly she doesn’t take it.

“Still bitter about a few years ago. Time to let things go, hon. I am sure that wasn’t the first or last time he strayed, but my lips are sealed.”

“Which lips are sealed, Felicity? I don’t think you have one set of lips on your body that have ever been sealed. You had to come a town away because everyone at home knows your pussy is like the Grand Canyon, once entered, you have a chance of being swallowed whole.” I notice we have created a scene.

I push Addison and Kayleigh towards the bathroom and get in between Brielle and this nasty bitch. “Enough. Brielle, walk away. You have more to lose than she does, and it isn’t worth it.” I push her towards the bathrooms, and Addison grabs on to her arm and pulls her through the doors.

Before I follow, I turn towards Felicity. “Leave it alone. You lost . . . again. Have some dignity.” I don’t wait for her response and follow my inebriated circus into the bathroom. Luckily, Brielle seems to have calmed down, or she is drunker than I imagined because she is staring at Addy in shock and a bit of curiosity.

“What did I miss?” I ask.

Kayleigh puts her fingers over her lips for me to be quiet while she stares on in fascination. “What in the hell, Addy? I asked for lipstick, and you pull this shit out of your pocket. What in the hell do you have a fucking vibrator in your pocket for?”

Oh God, I think I may be sick, but I can’t stop watching. And listening. It is official; my sister is a freak. “Well, last week when I went to that sex party, I bought a few in different colors. Accessories and all.”

Brielle is trying to form words, but I don’t give her the chance. “So you have to have vibrators to match your shoes and purse now? I didn’t think it was possible to be more fucked up than I am, but this right here, proves me wrong.” I am shocked, but somehow find this hilarious. I can imagine Addison getting ready tonight. Lipstick . . . check. Shoes . . . check. Purse . . . check. Matching vibrator . . . check.

“Seriously, Addison Leah James. Why do you need a pocket vibrator?” Brielle is shocked, amused, and a bit disgusted.

“Well, sometimes when I drink I get a little horny. I figured I could call Tyler and well, if it happened, it happened. Never leave home without it is my new motto.” I cannot believe we are having this conversation in a bathroom in a dive bar. Nope, cannot believe we are having this conversation, at all. This has become too much, and we all start laughing.

Brielle says, “Seriously, you gave that to me, and I almost put my lips on it. I think I need alcohol to burn this out of my brain.”

Crisis averted. Hopefully the rest of the night continues this way. Walking back to our spots at the bar, my hopes are crushed. Felicity is making her way over towards us, and she steps right up to me. “Well the other three landed themselves husbands, but the one on your tail seems to be floundering a bit.” She looks at Kayleigh and licks her lips. “He is every inch as hot as his brother, and it won’t be a sacrifice to lick his wounds.” Before I can respond, she is on her knees on the floor with her head being pulled back.

Brielle has her hair in her hand and is in her face. “Last warning. Stay away from my family.” She pushes her head forward, and Felicity
has to put her hands out to catch herself. Brielle pushes us forward, and a huge round of applause breaks out around us.

I hear Felicity screaming, “This isn’t over, you will pay for this.” Brielle just laughs at her and shakes her head.

Brielle shouts back, “I would kick you in the vagina, but I am afraid I’d lose my shoe.”

“There is something wrong with that girl,” I whisper to Addison.

  “Which one?” Addison says back.

“She is fucking delusional,” Brielle says back. “Shot-time!”

One of the big guys tells Brielle, “That was hot. If I thought you would be worth the trouble, darlin’, I would put you on the back of my bike and steal you away from your husband.”

She just smiles at him and winks. “Oh, I am worth the trouble, just not sure you can handle it.” God, I love my sister.

Big guy says, “You are right about that. Too much for me, but it was fun to watch. Name is Eugene.” We all shake hands, and his friends join us, and we continue having a blast. Dancing, singing, and drinking . . . while I watched.

“Whatever She’s Got” by David Nail comes on, and I tell them I am going to dance. I never liked this song much, but the day Max said it reminded him of me, it instantly became my favorite. All of the sudden I feel eyes on me, and since the attack, I have learned to pay close attention to my surroundings. I turn and look and know our fun is over. Coming across the door of the bar are Mitch, Max, Colby, and Tyler. Each man has locked eyes on their woman, and it looks like it will be interesting. Mitch and Max were supposed to be on call, so I have no idea why they are here. Colby and Tyler were supposed to have the kids. Whatever brought them out must be serious.

  Chapter 29

  Max

As soon as we got the call at the station, I was on adrenaline only. When the call came in to the town next to ours, the assailant was named as Brielle James. The other department called Mitch, as their names are flagged, and he is listed as point of contact. Pulling up to the decrepit building and walking in, my gut was tight with rage. Seeing her on the dance floor and other eyes on her did nothing to calm that rage. Brielle, Addison, and Kayleigh were at the bar, surrounded by big men who looked like they were all having a good time.

I meet Cambree’s eyes and nod my head to the side. It didn’t slip by me what song she was dancing to. I wait until she is within reaching distance and immediately pull her up against me. “Not a smart place to be, Camy,” I say in her ear.

“It’s harmless,” she replies. Is she kidding me? How can she still be naïve after what she has been through? “What are you doing here?”

“Got a call about an assault, and Brielle was named as assailant.”

“Fuck,” is all that comes out of her mouth, and I know we have a mess on our hands.

We make our way over to the others and notice an intense stare-off happening, and the big guys have placed themselves behind the girls like they are their protectors.

Colby is the first to speak, “What in the hell are you thinking, Belle?”

“Before you interrupted I was thinking of another shot, would you like to join me?” Big guy behind her throws his head back and roars with laughter.

“Who are you?” Colby asks the man.

“Oh, this is Gene. He is my new friend.”

Cambree steps up and says, “Someone called the police on you, B. Said you assaulted someone. They are here to check it out.” As she gives her little warning, I notice she is looking at everyone, conveying something to them, even big scary guys behind them. “I didn’t get a chance to tell Max that whoever reported you is mistaken.”

All of a sudden some skinny, washed-out looking tramp comes up to us. She reaches out to touch Colby’s chest, and he moves away, and Brielle stands up. Ah, the pieces of the puzzle are coming together.

“I am so glad you are here.” Pointing at Brielle she says, “She attacked me on the floor over there. I was so worried she was going to hurt me.” Even her lying through her teeth, and drumming up fake tears doesn’t make her that believable. Oh, I think there is some truth to the story, but not as dramatic as she is making it seem.

Mitch steps into cop mode and is not happy about it, “Your name?”

  “Felicity Connors.”

“Can you tell me what happened Ms. Connors?”

“Yes, out of nowhere Brielle grabbed my hair and pushed me to the floor, and I landed on my knees.”

“Funny, you are blaming me for the position you end up most nights anyway,” Brielle cuts in. This isn’t helping, but it is funny. I feel Cambree’s body shaking from her silent laughter, and I squeeze her hip in a warning.

“That is not how it happened, Officer. See here, this little lady has been drinking all night and going from guy to guy. She was making her way across the floor and tripped. I think the spirits she had and those shoes didn’t do her any favors.” This came from Eugene. Once he spoke, all his other cronies agreed and backed him up. These girls go out for a few hours and have a bar full of admirers ready to defend them.

Mitch looks at Kayleigh. “Is that what happened?”

“Truthfully babe, I was in front of them with Addison, and we didn’t see anything.” She wasn’t lying about that statement, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know what happened.

Mitch turns to Cambree. “What did you see?”

I about swallow my tongue on her answer. “Oh, Officer Baird, I didn’t see anything, but I know Brielle couldn’t have done it because we were on the ground ourselves searching for my contact.” How in the hell she kept a straight face I will never know.

Felicity is watching this unfold in front of her. Mitch turns to her. “Ms. Connors. I am sorry, without witnesses it turns into a he-said-she-said case. Do you still want to press charges?”

“No,” she says before walking out of the bar.

Looking at all their faces, I know it is about to get funny. Not for any of them, but for the spectators. I am pissed that Cambree is here without letting us know, but she hasn’t been drinking, has her phone on her, and I will deal with her privately.

Tyler turns to them. “What were you thinking coming here without telling anyone? Sometimes I swear I wonder if you have the sense God gave you.”

Gene steps up. “I don’t know you, any of you, but I will tell you these girls were watched out for. From the time they stepped foot in the bar, we watched them. Count yourselves lucky sons of bitches to have them to keep your bed warm.”

Mitch wasn’t done, though. “It is dangerous when nobody knows where you are. He may be on house arrest but never underestimate him.”

Brielle answers him nonchalantly. “That is why I have my pocket pistol.” She pats her front pocket.

Colby looks at her shocked. “You brought it with you?” She just nods.

Being an officer of the law, and this being a bar, I know that makes it illegal for her to have a concealed weapon. “We will just pretend we didn’t hear that.” Cambree stomps on my foot, and everyone is shaking their heads at me. I have no idea what is going on until I focus on Brielle.

“Oh, you want to pretend you didn’t hear that? Yeah, the pretend game, I like that.” Everyone groans, and she continues. “Let’s start with Tyler . . . let’s pretend he isn’t a dickless wonder.” Tyler looks at her, but he catches the same teasing look everyone else did, and he relaxes but not before flipping her off. “Next, is my dear sister Addison. Let’s pretend that when I asked her for lipstick she didn’t hand me a colored bullet vibrator.” Oh.My.God. Everyone turns to Addison; she doesn’t even look slightly embarrassed.

Tyler asks her, “Are you serious?”

“Yep, keep it right in my pocket, in case of emergencies.”

Cambree pipes up, “She matches them to her outfits. No lie.” I look up and see scary guys and rest of the bar watching this. Now I know what the whole freak-out scene was about. Apparently this is Brielle’s pretend game, and it looks like this will be a doozy.

“Next, Kayleigh, let’s pretend you don’t ignore Addison’s calls and don’t avoid her like she has the plague.” Mitch jumps in. “Back off Brielle, that isn’t fair.”

“Oh, it is fair. But let’s move on to you. We will pretend you didn’t lie to my face, either blatantly or by omission for months about being the twin’s dad, the whole time, keeping them apart. Let’s pretend you don’t protect your brother at every opportunity, but yet thought it was best to leave mine with that psycho. Now he is underground somewhere, protecting some girl from Brent . . . You want us to pretend that isn’t all on you? Because it is. Every single thing.” Mitch looks crushed. I need to step in.

“Brielle, calm down. It isn’t funny anymore, you are saying things that need to be discussed in private.”

“You are right, Max. Colby, I don’t have one for you. What do you want to pretend?”

He looks at her. “I would like to pretend my wife is sober.” Everyone giggles, including Mitch.

“No you don’t, because when I am sober, I don’t do that thing with my tongue you like . . .”

She is cut off when Mitch screams, “Enough!” Everyone stares at him, and he continues, “I have heard about the sex life of two of my sisters tonight, and if we continue I am sure the third will follow, and that may involve my brother, so enough.”

Shit! I don’t think he realizes what he just blurted out. I am hoping everyone is too shit-faced to realize what he just said. No such luck.

“What?” Addison says. “What does that even mean?”

Kayleigh looks crushed, but I guess she decides the cat is out of the bag. “He is your brother, Addison. All of y’all’s brother.”
