After a few moments of silence, Gallono spoke his concern. “This will put most of the constrainer ships closer to the fighting. Are you sure that’s wise considering they are all but unarmed?”
“They won’t be alone in that closer proximity,” Valnor answered without elaborating any further. “Once those ships have their orders, inform Gentem and the rest of the fleet that we will space fold into the Delta system between their next sensor refresh cycle.”
“Finally, we get to end this,” Commander Gallono exclaimed from the other end of the intercom conversation.
“No, this is only the beginning,” Valnor said before taking his finger off the intercom button. “The beginning of many sleepless nights I fear.”
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. Valnor recited in his head, “We’ll find out soon enough…”
Help me out:
I sincerely hope you enjoyed this installment in the story of the Lazarus crew. I would greatly appreciate your feedback with an honest review on Amazon.com.
First and foremost, I’m always looking to grow and improve as a writer. It is reassuring to hear what works, as well as receive constructive feedback on what should improve. Second, starting out as an unknown author is exceedingly difficult, and Amazon reviews go a long way toward making the journey out of anonymity possible. Please take a few minutes to write an honest review.
Best regards,
Mark Henrikson
